Eisboutique Da Carlo in Bensheim

The prices at Eis Boutique da Carlo in Auerbach have taken a shocking turn. Compared to last year, the costs have exploded: a small macchiato now costs an impressive €4.10, a simple spaghetti ice cream with two scoops (without cream!) costs an incredible €6.50, and an iced coffee with just one scoop - also without cream - costs an absurd €6.80. This price development is more than questionable. What justifies such exorbitant prices? You should avoid it just because the prices are too high. Unfortunately, this is the only ice cream parlor in Auerbach. Of course this is exploited and deals are made. Avoiding people is some means. Unfortunately, the prices are very high even if, as mentioned several times, the ice cream is made in-house with organic milk. Other and better ice cream parlors also make the ice cream themselves and also use organic milk + ust much better and healthier. The price difference is almost 4 euros and is a lot of money. Unfortunately not recommended. Staff is friendly, nice, that's about it.

Unfortunately, the joy about the reopening of the Da Carlo ice cream parlor in Auerbach after the winter break was short-lived - instead, pure disappointment followed. As loyal customers who have stopped by every day after work for an iced coffee, spaghetti ice cream and a latte, you just feel ripped off. This is how you scare away regular customers! Really a shame 😔

Can't understand the negative reviews. For us, this is the best ice cream far and wide, and the service is always very friendly! Yes - self-service, the original Auerbächer has to get used to it first. ;-) And yes, it is even more expensive here than in the center of Heidelberg. That's right. But organic, plastic-free and quality have their price.

We had spaghetti ice cream to take away. We are more than disappointed. It tasted like air. The vanilla after nothing! The strawberry sauce only hints of strawberry, but actually neutral! We have never experienced anything like this!

Unfortunately the service is not very customer friendly. I wanted spaghetti ice cream and the Bacio variety instead of vanilla. I would also have liked to pay extra. But the seller said that the flavor wasn't right and that I should use fruit ice cream instead. I assume he said that because there wasn't much of the ice cream left and he didn't want to give it to me as a vanilla substitute so he could resell it. I find it a bit inappropriate to tell the customer what type of ice cream is suitable and what to use. The ice cream itself tasted okay, but the portion was quite small for the price of around 7 euros.

You are not served at the tables, you have to order the ice cream sundaes at the counter and bring them to the table yourself

The ice cream is nothing special but the price is. If you want to eat the ice cream on site, it is only self-service, and if you ask, the response will be unfriendly. Overall the service is poor and the ice cream doesn't live up to the price. There are better ice cream parlors.

The prices, like almost everywhere now, have risen drastically compared to about 3.4 years ago and it's getting worse, but that's understandable since all prices are rising. It was my favorite café in my childhood and youth - still under the previous one, who always greeted you warmly, remembered you and where you were served. At least for me it tasted better back then, despite today's organic concept. It's just more impersonal, but that's no longer an isolated problem either. I can understand that you have to act economically and unfortunately there are massive staff problems in the catering industry, but the effect that I have there is unfortunately not relaxation (which is what I want) self-service with a lot of standing, crowds in the front, noise level from the front and back (street), it gets confusing at times and the employees often couldn't understand them acoustically. Unfortunately, I'm sensitive to that too. It ruins a lot of things for me and then I have less desire to visit. The fact that the road is also well traveled (also a drawback) is not something you can do about it. I think it's kind of nice that you can reminisce a bit about maintaining the location and that it didn't have to be given up when you took over. In terms of taste, it's okay and both the shop and the toilets are very clean, I'd be happy to go back every now and then, it's no longer my first choice, sorry.

As you can see in the picture, 3 balls each with cream, I paid €15.50. The taste is no longer what it used to be and the balls are smaller. Unfortunately it was the last time.

We come from the Groß Gerau district and wanted to visit the Auerbach Castle. On the The children wanted to eat ice cream on the way there. We each got double scoops of ice cream and coffee cream. The ice cream only tasted like sugar. I have never eaten such bad ice cream in my life. I very rarely throw food away, but it wasn't just me, the children left their ice cream lying around. The sugar just messed up the taste so much that you can't taste any pistachio in a pistachio ice cream. The coffee tasted like burnt coal. I don't know how you manage to be so bad. The shop and the saleswoman were really nice and say they were very well maintained but I'm sorry that's the truth. We will never come back.

My attempt to visit Auerbach Castle for a coffee literally fell through. The ice cream shop in Auerbach was still open in the evening. It should be like this. I had never had my beloved quark cake served like this before. A quark cake (cheesecake) on a white plate doesn't look very impressive. Here I was served the cake with color-coordinated fruit (sliced ​​strawberries, raspberries and blueberries) and delicious fruit sauce. It was a pleasure that I had never experienced before. On the drive home to Central Hesse (Vogelsberg) I was thinking about the skillful creation.

This is by far the best ice cream in the area.

Melon cup is an absolute disgrace. There was more cream than ice cream and it wasn't mentioned that there was no longer any melon sorbet, instead banana ice cream was added which absolutely doesn't go well with melon. Very very weak used to be better.

Ice cream parlor smelled strongly of chlorine cleaner. The fruit ice cream flavors taste absolutely artificial and look like it, really not tasty. The Raffaello ice cream is very good. When asked if the dark chocolate ice cream was vegan, they said “yes, almost”. There was lactose-free milk in it.

Delicious ice cream, best to take away, as the car exhaust fumes on the busy street unfortunately don't invite you to linger.

Nette kleine Eisdiele in Bensheim. Klar, die Preise sind gestiegen, aber dies ist bei den steigenden Lebensmittelpreisen nicht überraschend. Die Selbstbedienung finde ich okay, das Eis ist lecker und man sitzt ganz nett auf der Terrasse.

Sehr sehr lecker. Wir haben vor Ort das Eis gegesen, es ist sehr sauber und das Personal sehr freundlich. Wenn ihr in der Nähe seid, ihr sollt diese Gelaterie unbedingt besuchen!

Das Eis ist geschmacklich gut. Auch macht die Eisdiele im Bedien- und Sanitärbereich einen sehr sauberen Einsruck. Der Preis für eine (kleine) Kugel Eis für 1,80€ (!!) halte ich jedoch für echt überzogen. Im Umkreis gibt es Eisdielen, die 1,30€ - 1,50€ pro Kugel Eis verlangen und ebenfalls qualitativ sehr gutes Eis verkaufen

Das Eis ist absolut top und die Kugeln haben eine gute Größe. Der Preis mit 1,80 Euro pro Kugel ist gewöhnungsbedürftig, zumal die Kugel Eis in Zwingenberg weitaus günstiger und nen Ticken größer ist (oder wirkt). Zurückzuführen ist das aber wahrscheinlich natürlich auf Mieten, die in Bensheim ja wahrscheinlich höher sind. Also durchaus Verständnis dafür. Meinen Eisbecher würde ich dann aber in Zwingenberg essen. 😊 Wirklich problematisch fand ich die Bedienung (14.07.), die nur böse schaut und auch nicht freundlich war. Sie hat ihren Job gemacht, keine Frage, aber wenn ich dann schon Geld bezahle, erwarte ich auch, dass der Service stimmt. Ich war aber schon ein paar mal hier und möchte daher erwähnen, dass es das allererste Mal war, dass dort jemand nicht freundlich war. Übrigens auch hundefreundlich. 🦮

Das Eis ist echt sehr lecker. Jedoch ist der Preis meiner Meinung etwas zu hoch, da man sich selbst bedienen muss.

Eis & Kaffee ist zu empfehlen. Das Personal ist freundlich und fix. Es gibt ein große Auswahl an Sorten, Kaffee, Kaltgetränke und Kuchen.

Ich habe schon wesentlich besseres als gegessen und ideenreichere Kreationen serviert bekommen. Hier geht es offenbar mehr um Masse statt um Klasse. Wer gerne Verkehr und vorbeilaufende Fußgänger beobachtet, wird sich auf der Terrasse wohlfühlen.

Tolles Eiscafe, gute Auswahl an Eissorten und Bechern. Die Selbstbedienung finde ich absolut in Ordnung. Der viele Verkehr/Lärm bringt dann die Lage leider mit sich....

Wir waren auf der Durchreise und sind eher zufällig auf dieses Café gestoßen. Eins vorweg: Billig ist es hier nicht! Aber man bekommt auch gut was geboten. Das Eis ist super lecker, die Kugeln riesig, Personal ist sehr freundlich und geht auf die Sonderwünsche der Kinder ein. Wir sind uns einig, diese Eisdiele können wir empfehlen. Macht weiter so.

Wahnsinnig gutes eiscafe. Top Qualität. Zitrone ist eine Kunst, die hier gemeistert wurde. Es sieht sehr schön aus und die Betreiber sind sehr freundlich. Bitte unbedingt hingehen. Die Kugel hat 80gramm. Das ist ordentlich.

Ich fand es gut daß es Selbstbedienung war weil in anderen Eisdielen darf man mit Waffel Eis nicht im Service Bereich sitzen das Eis war superlecker

Stracciatella-Becher mit richtig großen Schokostücken. Auch der Amarena-Becher war lecker. Das Eis ist von guter Qualität und sehr abwechslungsreiche Sorten (z.B. Mandarine-Schmand- seeehr lecker) Zwar Selbstbedienung, aber ab und zu kommt jemand zum Abräumen.

Preislich leider sehr angezogen, was vermutlich auch an der verwendeten Biomilch liegt. Das ist eine gute Sache, allerdings ist 1,8€ pro Kugel dann dennoch sportlich.

Durchschnittliches Eis, kein Highlight. Da es keine andere Eisdiele in der Nähe gibt, gab es leider keine Alternative.

Für uns leider keine Alternative für die Eisdielen in Zwingenberg und Bensheim. Die Kugeln sind recht klein (für 1,80), und die Milchshakes schmecken lasch und sind nicht cremig, ich denke auch hier wird am Eis gespart. Wir haben jetzt ein paar mal dem Eiscafe eine Chance gegeben, werden nicht mehr wieder kommen, auch wenn es bei uns um die Ecke ist. Schade...

Irgendwie komme ich hin und wieder hier her, aber Wohlfühlen ist anders. Kann nicht genau sagen warum, aber ich glaube es kommt keine Gemütlichkeit für mich auf.

Positiv: sehr große Auswahl verschiedener Eissorten / guter Geschmack Neutral: vor Ort Essen im Aussenbereich = Selbstbedienung Negativ: auch wenn die Produkte regional und Bio sind, ist das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht gerechtfertigt. Die Kugeln sind sehr klein. Die Eisbecher teuer und nicht sonderlich groß.

Wir wohnten im Hotel auf der anderen Strasseneite. Dort wurde uns diese Eisboutique empfohlen. Wir haben es nicht bereut.

ungewöhnliche Eissorten, fürs Auge und Gaumen. Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Aussenbestuhlung an der kleinen Rinne.

Wir waren auf der Durchreise und entdeckten diese Eisboutique gegenüber unseres Hotels. Die Sorten waren sehr ansprechend (z. B. Weiße Schokolade mit Pistazien, Salzkaramell) und schmeckten ganz wunderbar! Das Personal war sehr freundlich und gab mir sogar eine Riesenportion von dem Rest Salzkaramell. Danke :-)
