It was more of a coincidence that we were here. Incredibly delicious sushi, very fast service...

Never again. Service is terrible. Food is more cold than hot. Since then, only over the toilet. It's coming out both above and below. Cleanliness also leaves a lot to be desired. No one knows what the other is doing. There were ten tables occupied, and we had to wait over 30 minutes for a nightcap. Stay away from this place.

Food was great. Service was a flop. Five of us ate there that evening. The food was very good, both in terms of taste and appearance. Everyone chose something different, so we all got to try everything. The portions were more than generous. Excellent value for money too! Unfortunately, the service ruined everything. Not a single smile or friendly word from any of the staff in three hours. Drinks were shoved into your hand. There's still a lot of room for improvement!

The café is very nice and pleasant, but if there are a lot of people there, they might not notice you. I waited about 20-25 minutes to be served. As a result, they approached me and took my order. The food is great, nothing to complain about. Extremely crowded and loud at peak times. And for years, prices have been rising steeply. For two main courses without drinks, you'll easily pay €34 or more. That's a bit over the top.

We've been here several times, but unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed this time. One of the waiters was very inattentive and... The complaint about dessert could have been handled better. Criticisms are completely ignored. Even though they know the dish calls for a certain sauce, simply leaving it out without saying that it's unfortunately out isn't customer-friendly. I hope it will be better next time. 3 stars to 4, because today the staff were very friendly again, and the food also left nothing to complain about. Therefore, from today on, it's 4 stars.

The food was simply amazing. A main course, a mixed sushi platter, a kids' dish, and a portion of fries for the littlest one. Everything was truly exceptional and had its own unique touch. We were there early on a Friday afternoon when it wasn't busy. Perhaps we could have been asked for drinks one more time, but otherwise everything was impeccable. We'd be happy to come back.

During a spontaneous visit to Kempen, I was looking for a restaurant. Many were closed on Mondays. I noticed DuQuLounge and sat outside. With such a large selection, it wasn't easy to choose. I would have loved to try everything. They also had a lunch menu. Ultimately, I opted for sushi 🍱 and didn't regret my choice. It was delicious and beautifully presented, which I personally really liked. The service was also very friendly. A great place with good sushi and a great crew. Located in Kempen, in a great atmosphere.

Seven of us (5 adults, 2 children) were there for dinner – and it was a complete success! We tried everything from the menu: everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The homemade lemonades and iced teas were particularly great – refreshingly different! There were also dishes for the kids – there was something for everyone. The service was friendly and attentive. We'd be happy to come back and wholeheartedly recommend the DuQu Lounge!

The four of us spontaneously wanted to go out to dinner and politely asked if they could put two tables together for us. Unfortunately, they immediately declined. Instead, we were offered a table with a hard bench without a backrest. When we asked for a seat with a backrest, they simply replied, "It's not possible." I find it very unfortunate and incomprehensible that they are so inflexible and apparently prefer to turn guests away rather than make an effort. This is a way of missing out on good business. For us, the experience was disappointing – that's not exactly hospitable. We left and will definitely not be coming back.

Highly recommended, super tasty, top service

Food is *very* good, although I never in my life had such good sushi. Been all around Germany for a long while, as I am born here and I love visiting new sushi spots. The Sushi bursts with flavour and freshness. Not even Berlin or Düsseldorf spots can top this. Not only a must visit, it is hands down my favourite sushi experience in all of Germany, no exaggeration.

Everything at DUQU is a 10/10. We always enjoy eating here, and when we planned a surprise for our parents, the entire DUQU team and the very friendly manager went above and beyond to make it happen. The restaurant is an absolute asset to Kempen.

I was absolutely thrilled. The food was served quickly (for 15 people), and I didn't hear anyone dislike it. It was very tasty, and there was even room for dessert. My only criticism is that when sitting on the bench, you need a cushion under your bottom; it's just too low.

Yes, every time we were very enthusiastic

Unfortunately, the food didn't make you happy at all. The main courses were very bland and tasteless. What was irritating was that the chicken in the tempura batter was breaded normally or at most with panko. It certainly wasn't tempura. The Bun Nam Bo's dressing consisted entirely of thin soy sauce. The salads at Bun Nam and the dollop of lettuce with the starters were probably pre-cut, packaged lettuce that was brown in places. The only positive thing was the very nice plates and surprisingly large portions, if you like that. The service was very friendly and attentive, except for the person who brought us to the table. The restaurant is very nicely decorated, but the acoustics are bad, it is very loud. We won't be coming back.

I have to say, this is a really nice shop. Located directly at the market in Kempen, generally attentive and quick staff, a large selection of food, reasonably priced to affordable, that goes well together. More 4.5 stars than 4! Update 01 2024: Now for the second time we didn't get a seat despite a confirmed table reservation, but one star was deducted. Another star deducted for the reaction of the completely overwhelmed restaurant manager when a colleague asked her for advice (annoyed face, and something along the lines of "you should wait, something will become available at some point") (my goodness, it almost sounds like that). like the house rating in Harry Potter ;-). Some may see it as typical German, but I don't like standing around in the entrance of a restaurant like idiots after driving there and looking forward to a nice evening, only to hear after 10 minutes "Someday something will be available, when can we but don't say."

The quality of the food is good, the taste could be improved a bit. It works with soy sauce and wasabi. The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere and is clean; you feel good. Everything except the toilet is on the ground floor. Unfortunately, the service wasn't quite as convincing. Lots of staff in the kitchen and in the back, only one person for the front (lunchtime, weekends). They are only moderately attentive and you rarely get the opportunity to order anything. On the whole it's a good place to eat, but it won't be my personal favorite restaurant; there are better ones.

Mega delicious food, friendly and fast staff, unbeatable price-performance ratio. I've been to DuQu countless times and if everything stays like this, there will be many more visits :-)

I liked the summer rolls. The vegetables and noodles in my meal were good - unfortunately I found the sauce rather boring. It wasn't really seasoned well and felt like it was mass produced. My friends said the food was good. If we go again I'll try something different and I'll be more enthusiastic then. Unfortunately the service is not that good. It took 10-15 minutes until all the dishes were there for 8 people. There were 2x sushi, which can be prepared without any problems. You only get drinks once, after which you are categorically ignored. It's a shame, the shop itself is very nice.

I come to DuQu for lunch on a semi-regular basis. The sushi is of decent quality. The service is generally very friendly - as always, it depends a little on the people involved. All in all: recommendation!

Absolute favorite restaurant! Always happy to visit. The food is always of great quality, whether sushi or noodle/rice dishes. The summer rolls or the salmon tartare are definitely recommended as starters. The service definitely a 10/10 too. Reservations are necessary on weekends as it is always very busy.

The food (red curry with duck) tasted excellent. The service was hospitable, attentive and very accommodating. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very modern. Overall, the restaurant is recommended. Definitely worth a visit. Price performance is right!!

We had to wait longer in the entrance area to get to the table we had ordered, even though several workers walked past us. Toilet in the basement area... There were several doors from the camp etc. open; There were boards and boxes in the hallway and everything seemed very messy and uncomfortable. It's best to avoid the lower area. Employee friendly; the food was very tasty.

UPDATE: Still disastrous organization when it comes to pick-up. We ordered food again today and repeatedly had to wait 15-20 minutes, even though we specifically ordered by phone for a set time. When we got there they said we were too early?!? And even if you do, you don't say something like that to the guest, it's rude! And the food wasn't ready until 15 minutes after the agreed time... again... Definitely the LAST visit! (My original review:) Arrived on time for pick-up time, but waited significantly longer (+15 minutes). Preparation just started on site (why would you call 40 minutes in advance??). It also took 5 attempts on the phone to even order anything. We ended up getting the wrong things, but we didn't notice until we got home because of course we don't check things on site.

Waitress brings us the cards and the lunch menu. We choose something from the lunch menu. No one comes to take our order for a long time. Then finally a waiter comes and tells us that it is now 5 minutes late for the lunch menu. We then spent our money elsewhere!

We were very enthusiastic and satisfied. The sushi tasted so fresh and good. The atmosphere is also so cozy and especially the service staff were very friendly. We'll definitely be back.

The best Asian restaurant in the area - very tasty and unusual sushi (also impressively prepared!) as well as other traditional dishes. The homemade lemonades are also recommended.

Nice restaurant with very tasty food (both sushi and other main dishes) and great value for money. Portions are also very good/plentiful. Two small things are (still) keeping me from giving it a full 5 stars: Service was super friendly but still a bit uncoordinated at times (e.g. wasn't there a menu for us at the beginning?) and when the house was full we found it quite loud/very loud. Otherwise everything was really great and we will definitely come back when we are in the area.

All in all great there! Very nice atmosphere, great and friendly service that comes really quickly. Great selection of dishes and super tasty and fresh sushi! It doesn't take long until the food is served. The homemade iced tea is simply the drink of the day when you're there :-) A colleague and I are regular customers there! Always happy🙏🏼🤍

It was very warm inside. Despite the promise from the cellar that the food was without onions, it came with it. Chicken was partly raw. The service was good.

We are here several times a month. Basically we like it and the food is beautifully prepared and tastes delicious. However, it's time to 'renovate' a few things. For example: The menus are so worn and old, the pages are torn out and come across as you read them. There is rubbish and weeds in the flower pots in front of the door, and cables hang from the ceiling in the terrace area. That doesn't look very inviting. It's a shame that so little emphasis is placed on this. I can only hope that the kitchen looks better....

Great at first. I've probably eaten there 20 times and ordered and picked up countless times. Portions of the sushi were - as you can see in all the pictures here (especially the fried rolls) - more than twice as big. For a few months now, only 1/3 sushi in small mini rolls has been available for the same price. That's what the deductions are for!

The ambience is very nice, just a bit crowded and cramped for my taste. Most of the food was good, but unfortunately the noodles were burnt. Unfortunately you couldn't eat them. Unfortunately, when I pointed this out, there was no response. A reason for me not to go there anymore.

I had the pleasure of visiting DuQu Lounge sushi restaurant recently and I am thrilled with the experience we had there. The ambience of the restaurant is beautifully designed, which immediately creates a pleasant atmosphere. The furnishings are stylish and you immediately feel at home. The food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was lovingly prepared and tasted excellent. You can clearly feel that the cooking here is done with high-quality ingredients and great care. The selection of dishes also leaves nothing to be desired. However, I would particularly like to emphasize the excellent service. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. On the occasion of my daughter's 15th birthday, something very special was prepared for her, which made the evening unforgettable for us. Many thanks to the entire team at DuQu Lounge sushi. We'll definitely be back!

Since we only had something to drink I can't say much about the food, but the drinks were great and the service was friendly and quick.

It's a shame what happened on Sunday because we always enjoyed eating there. We had made a reservation for 5 p.m. in the evening and when we arrived we wanted to sit outside with 4 people. There were only two tables for two available and we wanted to put them together, especially since the tables for four were only occupied by two people. We were just about to pick up the first table when a waiter (who I've never seen before) came up and pointed out that we should ask and can't just put the tables together... yes, I know he's right (we just wanted to just to be helpful) but he got really cheeky and insisted that we weren't allowed to put the tables together and that we should sit down separately... I've never seen the waiter as inflexible as he was, it was purely an exercise in power from him We left immediately and will certainly not go there again. Customer-oriented seems to be a foreign word for the young man. When he said that we should sit down separately, I just said that he wasn't serious. Of course he was It's right that we should have asked first... But reacting like that was totally excessive and unnecessary.

Better not! I would like to agree with the last review. Not only is the staff overwhelmed, the promises are not kept and as a guest you are allowed to pay…… nothing more! We wanted to reserve a table personally for a birthday dinner. Answer: we do not reserve a fixed table After we agreed to come earlier and set the table for 6 p.m. The documentary lounge doesn't open until 5 p.m., so the lady came to meet us and offered us one of the two selected tables! (We were in the restaurant in person) Yesterday I tried to have a nice evening with four people. We were there at 5:30 p.m. One of the tables was already occupied, the other had been set for five people. The two ladies then explained to us that we would not get this table or another table (alternative). By the way, this was only set up for four people. Instead we were supposed to sit at a high table (we had excluded that when making the reservation), with four people totally cramped and not facing the window, dark and uncomfortable. The very unfriendly ladies didn't make any effort! Summary: Here the guest is the necessary evil, he is sent packing! There are no commitments for tables for groups of five or more, but are there? Thank you, we would rather spend our money in one of the many other alternatives in our beautiful Kempen! You are treated as a guest there. Dear documentation team, don't worry, we will pass on our experience. Your food is good, but there are also plenty of alternatives to your cuisine in Krefeld - we definitely won't be coming back!

Tastes great But unfortunately really expensive!! Paid €90 for 2 people!!!!

Completely overwhelming the staff. Incredibly long waiting times for food (the note got lost in the kitchen). From the time the order was placed and the drinks and starters were served, there was no one left at the table. After more than an hour and several attempts to get attention, I was informed that the receipt had not arrived in the kitchen (the starter did come, however). The table next to us: same problem plus wrong food. Very unfortunate. It was delicious.

The first impression is chic, but still cozy. If the weather is good, there is also seating outside. The service staff are polite and friendly. The food is very good. Fresh sushi, homemade spring rolls and a first-class curry are among other things on offer. Prices are reasonable for the fresh and good products. We would like to come again.

Moderate crossover Asian. The starters were very tasteless, the gyoza was almost neutral in taste and the spring roll was just mediocre and quite small. The selection of sushi was large, but the quality left a lot to be desired. The avocado was brown instead of green and the rest just went down with a lot of soy sauce. It's worth the trip to Düsseldorf for real sushi. Unfortunately…

Nice restaurant, reasonably priced. Quality of the food good. In terms of taste, the sushi is more of a 7/10 and therefore significantly too expensive. Rice doesn't hold its shape very well, lots of sauces that cover up the taste. Breading too thick for the fried ones. Drinks great. Service ok, a lady very brisk and quite unfriendly. The rest of the staff is very nice and friendly.

We ordered food for 4 people and picked it up ourselves. I have to say that we were all thrilled with the food, personally I thought the satay sauce with its coconut note was very good. When we are back in Kempen we would love to come by again.

I've eaten here many times and often ordered take-away. The restaurant is very clean, the waiting times are short, the staff was always friendly and accommodating and the food is simply delicious

The food was very tasty. Unfortunately it was very loud and waiters were constantly rushing past us, which caused so much unrest that we didn't feel comfortable. Then we were forgotten and at some point asked if we had eaten yet. Ordering a second drink was simply not possible because no one was paying any attention to us and when we finally managed to get the bill after asking three times if we could pay, it was the wrong bill from one completely different table. Otherwise everyone was very friendly.

We were really looking forward to the evening at DuQu, but we were disappointed. The starters were cold and the sushi wasn't very tasty either. There were no ingredients and somehow everything tasted the same. The service seemed very stressed and hectic. The staff were friendly, but you could tell they were overwhelmed. This directly stressed me/us out. So we didn't find the atmosphere that great. Unfortunately we won't be coming back again.

Very tasty food. We've already tried different dishes and we've been impressed every time. The staff is very friendly and always attentive even when it's busy. A must for us every time we visit Kempen.

Cozy atmosphere with great service and delicious sushi. They also have other dishes and a children’s menu. My daughter and I had a full meal including appetizers, desserts and drinks for 50 euros. I’ve been there many times and have always had a wonderful experience. Highly recommend!
