The dark restaurant Sinneswandel is a true experience. Everyone should try it out. Let it work and enjoy. The ambience is great, the service is relaxed and friendly, and the dishes are simply delicious. The adventure “In the Dark Food” is so impressive. “The eye eats with you” is not true. “The head eats with you” is much better. You perceive the food completely differently; when you eat it, you think about what it is and what it looks like. The concept of change of heart is simply outstanding. I am absolutely thrilled and will recommend it to everyone. Top! Keep it up!

After selecting the menu and an accompanying drink, the fantastic waiter Marco, who has visual impairments, led us into the dark. A completely extraordinary experience that you could slowly get used to after the first few minutes in the pitch dark. A special thank you goes to waiter Marco, who did a fantastic job - without you, your calm and determined manner, we certainly wouldn't have been able to enjoy our time in the dark so much. Our visit to Change of Mind was absolutely exceptional! A dinner in the dark – that was not only exciting, but also a pleasure for all the senses. Every dish was a surprise. The staff was incredibly friendly and guided us confidently through the evening, making us feel comfortable the whole time. A truly special experience that you absolutely have to have. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We are already looking forward to the next visit!

Does the eye eat too? Not in the dark restaurant! What is an adventure for us is everyday life for many people. I was very happy when, after the trip into the black, my eyes noticed the surroundings again. We still enjoyed it, felt well prepared by the sighted crew members and well looked after by the blind crew members. I hope they are given as much attention and support in "our world" as they gave us in absolute darkness. The kitchen shouldn't go unmentioned! Luminaries in their field! After eating, you can admire the creations in a picture gallery; your eyes can eat with you. It tasted fantastic, perhaps because your other senses are more heightened when you can't see anything, but it would certainly have tasted sensational even in the light. All in all a great experience and a great pleasure! (I am aware of the contradiction of writing about a “great experience” when not seeing anything may mean suffering or at least limitation for others.)

We received an incredibly warm welcome, even though we arrived 10 minutes before opening time. The employees are very friendly throughout - the waiter assigned to us in particular impresses with his wonderful, nice sense of humor. Our food was very tasty and exceptional. Everything was very clean and pleasant. We found the volume in the room a bit disturbing. We had a very nice evening and the experience of complete darkness was very enriching for us.

An incredible experience. You perceive everything to be completely different than when you can see. In the dark you can hear your own breathing. You can really smell and taste things. Well, not everything tastes 100 percent, but it tastes significantly more than usual. The staff very friendly. You always got an explanation after every course. I can only recommend it.

An interesting evening, not in the low-budget segment, the food was very tasty, I didn't really like the way I interacted with the guests... I encountered a routine tone that was a bit geared towards the guests, which often turned into a lecture rather than an experience promote, that was a shame because the idea is great, the personal experience was also super exciting and exciting, unfortunately the staff didn't stick to the agreements (we were -understandably- not allowed to take the cell phone in with us) ...which was left with the staff Cell phone registered 3 calls from the daughter without us being picked up as promised

We had a really nice and nice evening, with culinary experiences and extremely friendly staff. Despite our handicap with a wheelchair, we were carried over the 3 steps and had an unforgettable experience. The crowning glory came with “Uwe”, our particularly friendly and calm waiter. Thanks Uwe! The food was the surprise menu - which was excellent. Gladly again !

My partner gave me a culinary trip to the Sinneswandel Restaurant for my birthday and yesterday was the day. We came into a small but really tastefully designed lobby with two young employees on duty. We were taken care of immediately and were given a small Amüsgöl as a welcome. A homemade lemonade and a little greeting from the kitchen made us feel comfortable. We were then welcomed by Uwe. A really attentive employee who assisted us throughout the evening. We were taken to a really pitch-dark room where we were allowed to sit down. You could hear voices everywhere but you really couldn't see anything. At first it was a little oppressive, but you quickly got used to it and were able to get involved in your surroundings, which were not limited. Everything was in its place, so you could make your way from fork to glass and spoon to bread basket. We had the 4-course surprise menu (which of course I won't reveal... where's the fun in that?) which was really outstanding. At first we were of course a bit afraid that there might be something we didn't like, but that was nipped in the bud with every visit. We were truly blown away with every bite. Especially when you don't always know what you're actually eating makes it all the more interesting. After our experience, we were escorted back to the lobby, where our 4-course menu was presented to us. That was really awesome. There are no beginners in the kitchen, but doers. All the employees made the evening really special, thank you for that! We definitely recommend you.

At the beginning you are greeted very friendly in the convertible bar, choose your menu and drinks and find out what the process is like. Afterwards you are led into a black room, you really can't see anything, the operator is visually impaired or blind, you feel and hear differently, more precisely. If you get involved with it, it is an unforgettable experience. The meal was excellent. Many thanks for this experience and to our waitress Marco and the two boys in the Wandelbar.

It was just great. A warm hello as soon as you walked in, relaxed, very pleasant atmosphere. The food was super great, delicious and at the same time fun to find everything in the dark, both the food and the mouth. An experience you won't want to miss.

We were lucky and spontaneously got a table. A very friendly and relaxed reception. The welcome drink with a small “soup” was a dream. Our waiter Marco was simply great, easy-going, very friendly and always courteous and helpful despite the high number of guests. We love it when everything is a little more relaxed and not so "high-class". This food is an absolute dream, as if it were a star Cook at work with heart. Go here and just enjoy fantastic food and a wonderful evening. We had no problems eating and despite the darkness I returned home clean. Keep it up and remain such a good team.

It's a very nice atmosphere, when you enter the shop you kind of leave everything outside...that doesn't belong there. What I mustn't forget is that it has to be booked in advance (more on that later) You somehow immediately feel welcomed... a greeting from the kitchen and a quick drink are served - both were very tasty 😋 We really took our time... and thought about what we were going to eat. I was the one of the two of us who was surprised (in the 4 course menu)...I didn't even know what to eat....my husband had the fish dish..(in the 4 course menu) It started...Marco our waiter came and picked us up. I was a bit nervous because I was now giving everything away and had to trust a strange man because I was walking behind him and only had his left shoulder for orientation. It got dark and you really didn't notice anything other than the darkness. Marco's familiar voice was always soothing at that moment. Our dishes were served... my husband something fishy and I suprise... both of us (nags on duty) were very enthusiastic... the taste, the spices... were very harmonious... .. We talked a lot together and laughed. (no cell phone disturbed....nothing else....you could suddenly talk to each other, even with the guests who were sitting somewhere) We were shown the food after dinner and were thrilled with what was served to us. Once again you *see* your eyes eat with you. And I say This restaurant deserves more than just 5 stars... And we'll definitely be back. P.s. Unfortunately we couldn't take photos...everyone has their own way of experiencing this.

The two of us had a really lovely evening at the dark dinner. An absolutely great experience to focus on the senses of touch, hearing and especially taste without eyes. You were immediately greeted with an aperitif and had a relaxing time to choose your course menu. There is something for all tastes. The vegetarian menu was excellent! The food was excellent. Our server Lydia was also excellent. Super empathetic, attentive, friendly and funny. The staff at reception were equally friendly. Afterwards you were shown pictures of what you had eaten. So overall it's definitely an experience worth experiencing and everyone should experience it. Afterwards you literally go through the world with different eyes and have a lot more understanding for people with visual impairments in everyday life.

I went with my friend for a 3-course meal with the Happy Diner Card. We received a great welcome and were able to choose the menu straight away. After a few instructions we started. The trained staff was super nice and accompanied us very well throughout the evening. It's unusual but you quickly get used to the darkness. You really can't see anything, trying to see anything was effortless. That's how it should be. The food smelled super delicious and tasted really delicious too. I was lucky and was able to eat everything with a spoon and my hands. A great experience that I can highly recommend. At the end, after returning from the dark room, you were shown the food and you could end the evening with a drink. All around a great evening.

The food was very good, but I would have liked to have had a little more information about it at the table. The individual components are difficult to find in the dark and in the end you are happy if you have anything in your mouth at all. Lots of empty spoons or forks arrive. Ultimately, it was a lovely experience and highly recommended.

Great all around....Not just a new experience....but also excellent service....and a great selection, composition and preparation of the menus! Some luxury providers can learn a lesson here. Not cheap, but the price-performance ratio is right. Clear recommendation!

We were there for our second wedding anniversary. It was a nice experience. The service was great and the food was really great (fine dining). Price-wise, completely okay. It is highly recommended. Note: You can choose something from different menus (I personally think there is something for everyone here), but it is not for people who are not into culinary surprises at all or who like things rustic. There would certainly be great disappointment here. Anyone who can get involved will get their money's worth here! LG

Our companion was the best service employee we have met in a long time. The food was extremely tasty and we were able to "feel" almost everything and partly eat it with our hands :-) the flavors were almost completely transformed, which of course makes it even more difficult to guess - all in all a unique experience!

We decided to eat here because we just wanted to have the experience. We received a very friendly welcome and were allowed to choose from the menu with a greeting from the kitchen and a small drink. It all sounded terribly delicious. The service in the dark was really friendly and explained everything to us calmly. The food was probably presented quite nicely, but there wasn't much to see. In terms of taste it was very, very good and in connection with the dark it was a very interesting and new experience. Ultimately, I can only recommend it, the service is top, friendly and attentive. The food is also simply delicious and all in all an experience you should have.

There were four of us there and it was really a great experience! A completely new experience, really not seeing anything. The team is completely very, very friendly. Unfortunately, one of us had problems with the darkness and was then looked after and entertained very nicely outside in the bright anteroom! The service was also super nice and explained everything very clearly! If you can tolerate the darkness well, then it's really worth an experience! The food wasn't 100% my thing in one course, but I'm extremely picky. There is definitely a lot of attention to detail, including in the food and in the whole ambience!

We were guests there on June 16, 2024. It was all Tipi Topi👌 and definitely worth an experience. On the one hand it's funny, on the other hand it's strange not being able to see anything at the same time. You could choose one from 4 menus and then be surprised. It was really delicious and I don't eat everything! Even mushrooms were foisted on me that I didn't recognize😅. Marco served us in service. This person is simply wonderful with a great sense of humor. He was the boss in the dark. Afterwards we were shown on a screen what we had eaten. The three of us ate in the dark restaurant. There was a 3-course menu, optionally 4 courses. It was definitely a new experience. The service was great. Everything was explained well. There is a deduction for the food because it is definitely not suitable for children. In addition, the waiting times between courses were too long for us. Otherwise you can recommend it with a clear conscience!

Very friendly welcome with amuse geule and aperitif. The service staff is very warm and, if appropriate, they are happy to throw in a bit of humor. The food was excellent, even if you had to search for it sometimes. 😁 Always happy!

Went to this restaurant for the first time. We were warmly welcomed. Marko, our waiter, led us into a lightless world with his calm and friendly manner, which also took away our nervousness. We were surprised with how professionally he served us the food and drinks. The food was very tasty and we were full. After dinner, Marko led us safely back to the Wandel Bar. An employee there showed us on the monitor what we had eaten. The menus were prepared with great attention to detail. There is no need to discuss the price. You pay almost €6 for a bratwurst and there's only one person at the grill; it takes a lot of employees to prepare and serve such great meals. An experience that I enjoyed having. Other senses are needed than just the eyes. I can't say much about the ambience, it was dark😅But in the entrance area (welcome) before we went into the dark room, everything was great. We had a multi-course menu. Our waiter Marko was great and we felt comfortable despite the darkness.

Friendly welcome and also an introduction to what to expect. We had a 4 course meal and it was fantastic. The senses of taste, smell and hearing were sharpened so that the aromas could be tasted more clearly. Visually impaired people work there as service staff and they guided us through the evening fantastically and with a lot of empathy. After our meal we were shown at the Wandel Bar which menu was served. Just great! We will try this experience again and highly recommend it to everyone.

We were there for dinner as a couple and had already informed ourselves what it was like there. However, we were both very excited when we walked into the restaurant. You don't really know what to expect. When one of the waiters picked us up and led us into the dark, it was a bit irritating at first to get involved, but that quickly subsided. Then it was really a unique experience to touch and “taste” what you actually had on your plate. Not so easy when your eyes aren't eating. We would therefore recommend the surprise menu to anyone who doesn't know what they are going to get. The waiters and staff are totally friendly and will help you immediately if you have a question. In the end, when we were outside again, I was a bit overwhelmed by the light that I forgot everything I wanted to ask about the restaurant and the way it works. We'll probably have to come back (gladly!)

Dear Birgit looked after us. We felt very well looked after with her. The food is simply first class. Even though the starter didn't suit my personal taste, it was still interesting. The main course and the dessert, on the other hand, completely met my taste and blew me away. The darkness was very unusual for me at first. Logically but also a bit frightening/oppressive. It took me some time to get used to the situation. This made it clear once again what blind people achieve every day. So in summary... It was a great experience, great food but then you're grateful to be able to see it again 😀

It was worth an experience. You can expect upscale gastronomy with a focus on taste, as you can only guess what you are eating in the dark. Afterwards, the dishes are shown on the monitor. The saying “the eye eats with you” comes very close to this. We were amazed how sophisticated the food was prepared can be seen on the monitor behind you. Something you could never guess in the dark. Lydia professionally accompanied us through the evening. Thank you for the hospitable, professional organization of the evening. We deducted one star because, in our opinion, the prices are a bit too high 😀 You should definitely try it out if your wallet allows it.

Yesterday I was in this restaurant for the third time and unfortunately I have to say that I was very disappointed compared to my last visits. It was super loud and you couldn't really concentrate on your senses because of the volume. Furthermore, the time between each course was far too long. I also found it a bit cool but that could also have been because I sat at the table for almost 3 hours. The staff was very friendly and there was nothing wrong with the food.

A very special experience. After a friendly welcome with a lovingly prepared kitchen greeting, we were led into the dark restaurant area. The waitress was very attentive and remembered the first names of all the guests, which is admirable. The 4 course menu tasted great. Of course, it was a strange, unusual feeling not being able to see what you were eating or what was happening around you. It's remarkable how blind people can orient themselves.
