Disappointing from the advice to the implementation of the overpriced starters

I asked for a bottle of wine, which is available online from the restaurant's wine list for 59 euros. It's a bit expensive but I was curious about this Lebanese wine from 2013. According to the internet there were still enough = 50 bottles available. The wine could not be found in the printed menu and a vintage was not listed for any of the wines. My inquiry was successful and the waitress brought a bottle, noting that it would be a little more expensive. I ended up paying €119!!!!! That's sporty, I told the waitress... a shrug. The food was ok, but the mixed starter platter I asked for was similarly overpriced. I never usually write reviews, but this experience not only hurts this restaurant, but all restaurants in Frankfurt's Bahnhofsviertel. Cheating is cheating. I would be happy to upload the invoice...

In the Ramada Hotel on the corner of Weserstrasse and Kaiserstrasse there is a Frankfurt veteran of Lebanese cuisine with a kitchen open all day long. Basically it is “L'Emir”, which has been resident in Frankfurt's train station district for 38 years: only the name was changed in 2017. Only slight changes to the menu, but the decor and style of the house remained very similar despite the change in ownership. When I was working, I often came here with colleagues. As is usual in Lebanon, everyone tried everyone's plate. Everything always tasted excellent. This lunchtime from 3:29 p.m. to 4:50 p.m. we dined just the two of us, at a small table under the Lebanon cedar painted on the wall with quiet Arabic music: Mutabbal Batinjan (eggplant puree with yogurt, tahini and garlic 9.90) Kaftet Ghanam (grilled minced lamb with the skewer removed, topped with parsley, onions and Lebanese spices 23.90), with extra tahini (sesame seed sauce 2.90) Fasulieh Bil Lahme (thick white beans with veal, garlic, onions, coriander 25.90). The red wine “Mon Liban Tradition” in a 0.2 l glass for 8.90 was extremely pleasant (I better not think about the working conditions in the Bekaa Valley), the husband enjoyed Benedictine white (6.90). The windowless toilets can be easily reached via a few small steps. Generous space, economical use of individual toilet paper sheets. Always my pleasure!

We had a mixed grill plate with soup as a starter. Soup was great and the mixed grill plate was also good, but rather average then outstanding. Price was okayish, 50 euro per person.

Price-performance does not match. I was disappointed - for €70 for two people we expected much more. Unfortunately it wasn't worth it. The service was very nice, but the prices are exorbitantly high.

Ordered online Jawanih maklieh Hommus Taste was really good and good packing was provided. I liked hommus and chicken wings were good too.

It was our first time there and we had a voucher from Groupon. This meant you could freely choose a starter, a main course and a dessert. The food was super tasty. The atmosphere was chic and cozy at the same time. The shop was packed to the rafters and yet the food came quickly. What should be highlighted is the excellent service, very attentive and friendly and not at all intrusive. We'll definitely be back.

The Du Liban in Frankfurt is a great restaurant that impresses with unusual dishes and authentic Lebanese dishes. The place is nice with nice ambiance and great service. The food though was not great for the cost. It is very basic and not well seasoned.

The restaurant is big in a complex and difficult area (do not go with kids please). The food is excelent but we went during the exhibition and the service was very very slow, even to bring the drinks we had to wait for long time. Despite this, I prefer to wait and pay a pricey (60 euro per person) ticket to enjoy an authentic food.

The food was not as good as we expected. I ordered fish and it arrived uncooked, then they cooked it again and brought it back, it was a shame. We went with great excitement, but I don't plan on going again. Only friendly staff 👍🏻

What a great location for culinary enjoyment in the center of Frankfurt. The “Du Liban” is close to the main train station and is easily accessible by car or public transport. The truly authentic taste of Lebanese cuisine is presented to you in a beautiful ambience, accompanied by not too loud music, and served by extremely friendly staff. We recommend the menu for two people for around €90!!! It includes an excellent selection of SEVEN starters plus fresh flatbread, a main course of your choice (except fish dishes) and a delicious dessert. The portions are generous and you will hardly feel hungry the day after. A wonderful trip to the Middle East is guaranteed here. Thank you!

Incredible Lebanese cuisine…favorite was the number 54 mixed grill with lamb, chicken, vegetables and Lebanese rice. The warm starters of pastries filled with meat and goat cheese were fantastic also. If you like Lebanese food and in the area highly recommend the Du Liban!

I had a cucumber allergy. The hummus had cucumber. I told them so they took it and brought one back. They definitely just picked the cucumbers out if the first one as i had a reaction shortly thereafter. They did not care. Also it said they had belly dancers on Saturday but we were told not since covid so that was disappointing. Would not recommend.

The restaurant has a very chic, very tightly packed dining room facing the street and an additional, rather uncomfortable room next to a hotel entrance, where we sat. The service was a bit disorganized but quick and attentive. The taste of the food was nothing special and it had already cooled down a bit. Overall we weren't impressed, it was ok, we would have expected more based on the prices and the reviews.

The quantity isn't enough for one person The price is ver ver .. very expensive for the quantity and quality.

A Lebanese restaurant serving Arabic food, such as grilled meats, various types of grills, hot and cold appetizers, and various salads. The staff is very respectful and their service is excellent.

I tried the Dorada fish along with lime Juice for dine in, and i do not think that is a restaurant quality food. I also tried the Bakalawa aftewards, and i liked it. Not to sweet or oily. Spot on. The staff are nice, but overall i did not like the place.

The food was below quality. The egg plant was super oily and the meat was dry. They also have a very weird policy that they don't let you credit card unless you spend more than 50 euro which was an issue since I ever carry cash and I was expecting a good restaurant to accept credit card payments for a 35 euro meal !!

Lebanese restaurant with excellent food. We ordered lamb kebab, shish tawook, lentil soup, Beirut hummus, two colas, and water. The kebab is excellent and fresh and comes with rice. The place is okay but comfortable and everything is clean and elegant. But the service is excellent and the staff are very polite. I recommend visiting it.

Very quiet and the food tastes very good. I always like to come by when I'm in Frankfurt.

The food is very tasty and the service is courteous and friendly. The rooms are a bit cramped (you have to think of something to do with a hyperactive toddler, as running around is not possible). Unfortunately, the area near the main train station is not inviting, so we eat here less often. But we look forward to the delicious food all the more.

Work dinner for 16 people, food was really nice, exactly what I tasted in Lebanon. Ambient not perfect, we were stored in a room that we think wasn't part of the restaurant (looked like a reception of an hotel, with people entering to take an elevator).

What a great find! We just “stumbled” on this place when trying to find somewhere to eat that was close to our hotel. We were delighted with the food, the service, and the atmosphere. The grilled sea bass was cooked to perfection. Grilled eggplant for appetizer was so tasty! And the fruit tea was also very good. Our server was very nice. They didn’t have loud music blaring which was a relief as so many places these days are too noisy for our older ears. We’ll definitely be back to Du Liban-Libanon!

Das Restaurant ist etwas versteckt, hat aber auch einen Außenbereich direkt an der Straße. Das Essen und auch der Service waren sehr gut und wir kommen gerne wieder. Es gibt viel landestypische Gerichte und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist gut.

We visited Frankfurt fro just a couple of days. My partner picked this restaurant, even though Middle Eastern cuisine is not to my tastes. We both loved everything we tried there. We ordered a sharing platter, with lots of different starters, mixed grill and a selection of desserts! Everything was delicious and well presented. The service was also really good. I would deffo recommend it!

The waitress and waiter are very friendly. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasant. The food is very good. Even if the super nice, friendly waitress smiles at you and asks if you want water or coffee, always remember that you will have to pay more. That's the only small catch, otherwise great overall.

Tolles Essen! Ebenfalls sehr gute Weine. Allein die Vorspeisen sind großartig. Leider lässt der Service zu wünschen übrig. Spricht nur undeutliches Englisch, Kartenzahlung erst ab 50 Euro möglich (vor der Tür ist ein Geldautomat mit horrenden Gebühren), und man hat das Gefühl, dass man eher den Betriebsablauf mit den wirklich wichtigen Gästen stört. Decided for the restaurant based on the voucher book. Nice atmosphere with closely spaced tables. Attentive and nice service. The food was delicious, but I can't judge the authenticity due to the lack of comparison. As a starter I had the chicken liver, which tasted excellent.

The place is nice and cozy but the food is not! It’s extremely overpriced for the taste and ingredients are not fresh. The worst dish was the warak Inab, it tasted like the ones you buy from a can at a Turkish restaurant, baba ghanoush consisted of more chopped onions than eggplants, falafel is not really fresh, fattoush is really dry and tasteless. The food tastes nothing like authentic Lebanese food! I wouldn’t recommend this place!
