We absolutely love going there. The food is absolutely delicious and the selection is huge – including vegetarian options! Great cocktails, open late, always something going on, and excellent service! Great and close to the shopping street! Love it! 😁

Always worth a visit, an absolute classic in Bad Vilbel! The atmosphere is unique, the food delicious, and the staff friendly.

This restaurant is a real highlight for anyone who wants to try something special! The selection of exotic meats such as kangaroo, crocodile and ostrich is impressive, and the preparation is simply perfect. Every dish was tender, aromatic and excellently seasoned – a real taste experience! The ambience exudes Australian flair and the service is top: friendly, attentive and with great knowledge of the food. The recommendations for suitable wine or beer accompaniments in particular rounded off the meal. If you want to try something new, you should definitely visit this restaurant - I'll definitely be back!

Nice place for a date! Lots of choice in food with special options, still left the emus alone and went for a delicious beef steak! Good beer and wine selection and definitely recommended!

Something between a sports bar and a themed restaurant. Burger and steak were okay, the skewers for 41€(!) were unfortunately far from worth the money. Staff tried hard, but we didn't feel really welcome. At some tables (in the middle of the room) you feel like you're in a fast food restaurant. Recommendation: Make a reservation and then sit in a niche or at a table with a corner seat at the edge or by the window.

The fries were delicious, the burgers were unfortunately very average and a little carelessly prepared - nowadays you have to offer more sophistication and more love for the food. We wouldn't necessarily come back just for the burger. Hommade iced tea also too sweet. Service was friendly.

Food was okay, four people ate schnitzel. Price performance wasn't that good though. Little sauce and mushrooms with the Jägerschnitzel and the same with the Frankfurter Schnitzel, hardly any green sauce, unfortunately. The waiter wasn't particularly friendly, which is a shame. We had heard some good things beforehand, but we can't confirm that. Another visit is out of the question for us.

The ambience and service are quite good, but the vegetarian/vegan burger is an outrage. It's only about 1/3 the size of a normal burger, has less toppings and costs a hefty 20 euros. Unfortunately, that's the only juicy thing about the burger. I was literally laughed at by my table companions after this “thing” was served to me. Please rethink the concept of this dish :)

The hamburger was good, in my opinion, a little too expensive, the drinks were also good otherwise, it's better to order a table. There is also Emu, Kangaroo Burger

Very nice atmosphere, you can even watch football. Separate smoking area, but there is 0% smell. I would park in the parking garage as there is hardly any parking space. I recommend it to everyone for a delicious Aussi burger.

The quality of the food was average at best. The restaurant is currently not a recommendation.

Unfortunately the first and last visit for me. The burger pattie tastes like poor quality frozen goods, the burger bun is dry. A homemade hamburger with products from the discounter tastes better and doesn't cost €19. Homemade Ice Tea has more ice cubes in it than the drink itself.

So far we have actually never been disappointed down under. Ambience good, food good. This time my steak was slightly overcooked, but still edible. We'll still be happy to come back. This was just one of many visits. The burgers at our table were great. The Pina Colada is incredibly delicious.

Everything was really nice: the food, the drinks, the place, the atmosphere, the service and especially the staff. We came all the way from Frankfurt to try the place and we were really happy. Keep it like that! 🫶

Unfortunately, the beef steaks are all from Argentina. Regional products would also be very good.

Taste and quality is really nice. Cheeseburger had amazing cheddar. Service is extremely kind. Atmosphere is very pleasant. What was really nice is we were 6 people and we all got our food at the same time so we could all enjoy the food together while its still warm. 5/5

In the middle of Bad Vilbel, an Australian restaurant that offers a wide variety of dishes. Kangaroo, emu, crocodile are just a few of the more exotic dishes, but each of them is tasty. Of course there is also more regional food. From steak to burgers to salads. The selection is large and there should be something for everyone. Even if you don't want to eat, you will feel comfortable here. Cocktail happy hour is from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. There are also combination offers: 2 cocktails and nachos, or fries. From experience I can say it's about half a bag of nachos, with salsa and cheese dip. For the last 6 months, I have been there almost monthly and have tried various dishes, none of which disappointed me. The service is also great. There is also friendly service and a smoking area, separated from the other areas. The large TVs show football, otherwise there are campfires for a nicer ambience.

Very nice location. Staff nice. Food was delicious. Parking options nearby. One star deducted because we asked for barbecue sauce. They were then brought to us. This bowl was then noted on the invoice as €3.50. In my opinion a proud price. Sauces should actually be standard in a burger joint.

All in all, it's worth a visit, but the somewhat dark interior makes it a bit difficult

We were down under for the first time today and were totally thrilled. Everything is super tasty, very good service and the ambience is also great. We'll definitely be back!

The beautiful appearance is deceptive. A lot of advertising and fanfare but in the end the food is disappointing and cannot be recommended.

I was expecting to have more Australian food options. We were 3 persons and we were thinking to order 3 different dishes to try and share but only 2 options exists on the menu. All the rest of the menu was like any other snack bar in the town (burguers....) The kanguru steak was good, a little bit dry but i think is the meat is different. Emu meat is not goid at all and crocodille i believe is also a nice meat but only came a piece like a meat ball.

Unfortunately quite expensive. Especially the drinks.

Completely overpriced for sometimes small portions and frozen products. The side salad is a disgrace. Want inflexible side dishes. I hope we just had a bad day. Staff very hard working.

Great burgers, priced in the higher segment but worth it

I was there for the first time. The salad and burger 🍔 were okay. It lacked a bit of spice. The staff were able to answer every question very well and were very helpful.

Unfortunately, the fried potatoes didn't meet my expectations. They were too greasy and not crispy. I could only eat half. I still had to pay for everything.

Looks great. We were only there to drink, it was okay and very nice. Service could be a little better. Was partly self-service. (We sat at the table in the immediate vicinity of the bar. Drinks were placed on the bar with saucers, then we had to take them from the bar ourselves and put them on our table. Not fancy at all. There is also no coat rack where you can hang your hat.

Had dinner there on Saturday November 9th, 2024. It was very crowded. Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for our food. But when the food came we were very happy. I had under rump steak and my wife had cheeseburger. Was delicious. I'll go there again. Have a large selection of food. Oh, the steak is cheaper on Saturday than on the menu. Have different action every day. Cool.

Unfortunately, the visit did not meet our expectations. The dishes were more reminiscent of pre-prepared products that were quickly processed. The burger patties were very thin and well cooked, the burger buns seemed like standard products. We found the price of 20 euros for a burger to be quite high. The fries were soft and the schnitzel was very thin. Unfortunately, the service seemed reserved and not very attentive to questions. The toilets seemed dark and a bit dated; Some of the equipment, such as the toilet seat, was loose and the water flow was sparse. It is unlikely for us to visit again.

An unfortunately very overpriced restaurant. Had mozzarella sticks (freezer), a salad with chicken, an emu burger which I wasn't sure if it was really emu (smelled and tasted like beef) and cost a whopping 20 euros. Value was at most 8 euros. To drink we had a glass of wine and two cokes. We paid 75 euros for this. Once and never again. Parking is difficult, one-way street and hardly any parking space. It's a shame ☹️

Discovered by chance and didn't regret it! The service was very nice and really quick. The food was great and plentiful. There is actually something for everyone. Unfortunately there were no desserts left because the main course was so rich. Maybe next time. Prices are ok. Overall everything was very clean and originally decorated.

Was totally mediocre. The wings were probably frozen, with drumsticks that had strange pieces of bone that you always bit on. Fries were okay, but nothing special, the coleslaw was soaked in mayo and not as usual. All in all, I can't understand the extremely positive comments, absolutely mediocre and far too overpriced.

We were a little disappointed today. The service was great, no question. But value for money for the food was disappointing. The chicken breast fillet on my burger was thick, so thick that the pineapple was completely missing and the remaining topping consisted of two pieces of iceberg lettuce and a slice of tomato. The side dish came with 5 fries (my partner had about 7) and the mini portion of coleslaw. When we were served we were told straight away that there would be more fries as there were very few - but nothing came. Unfortunately. Running after food isn't really my thing either. By the way, we weren't there at rush hour (before 4 p.m.) and the restaurant was therefore not very busy (almost empty), which would have been manageable.

I was there again after years because I no longer live nearby. It was still as good as it was back then. The cocktails were delicious and had just the right amount of alcohol. You could taste it, but it wasn't too much. The burgers were juicy and tasty. The service was attentive and quick. Overall it was a nice evening.

The restaurant was beautifully decorated, the staff quick and friendly. The rump steak was of the highest quality and very tasty. However, a slightly more creative garnish that highlights the level of excellent meat could further enhance the presentation of the dish. Overall, it was a thoroughly successful experience in which the attention to detail was reflected in the atmosphere and service. However, a refinement in the visual design of the dishes would give the culinary experience an additional, luxurious touch.

We went here to eat a delicious burger or steak...Unfortunately we were completely disappointed. It is a bar and in no way a restaurant or steakhouse as it says on the website... You can't eat your burger there in peace and it also tasted very bad. A burger with fries cost €26 and you can get a better and much cheaper one almost anywhere! Football is loudly watched there and there is a smoking area in the restaurant. The speakers from the television were also directly above our heads and it almost gave us tinnitus... The entire restaurant and the food smelled of smoke, of course. Disgusting… The female waiters were not dressed professionally at all, which made the restaurant or bar look very, very, very cheap. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this “restaurant” to you… Better save your money and go somewhere else.

I've eaten a lot of burgers, but charging €19.99 for a normal cheeseburger is abysmal. Well, I knew the prices and still wanted to give it a chance. The location is quite nice, only our table outside was on wobbly feet, so we had to help ourselves and fix it with cardboard (this shouldn't even happen). I can only say one thing about the burger: I would be willing to pay a maximum of €7, nothing more. The problem with the burger is the patty. I don't want to accuse anyone of anything here, but it could have just as easily been a frozen patty. It was extremely thin and was well cooked, nothing medium rare (impossible with that patty anyway). As everyone else has written, the fries were quite good. But unfortunately I won't come again. Lg

Actually always happy. However, the last time the burger was very dry. Schnitzel was good though. Coleslaw on a burger doesn't work with dill. Why do you do that?

I've been there several times now, and I have to say, it's more of an upscale sports bar. The steaks, especially the exotic ones, are highly recommended, but they now cost €37-39. We ate burgers on our last visit, emu and kangaroo. The whole thing came with fries and sauerkraut and sauce. It was also completely ok in quantity. The burgers were around €20. What's a bit of a shame is that the meatballs on the burger don't have the same subtle flavor as the steaks do. The menu now also includes pork schnitzel and vegetarian dishes. It is also worth mentioning that there is a separate smoking lounge. Overall, a tip and recommended for something special, and then I definitely recommend the steak variants. Of course there are also cocktails and Australian beer. The staff is very considerate and nice

Have you never been down under?! I haven't eaten so badly in a long time. Maybe I picked the wrong one. I had an appetizer platter. ONLY fried ready-made stuff came, something like that should have been announced. Everything in thick, fatty breading. Nothing homemade. The fries were good, that's all. The wine was also below average. The service was very nice and attentive… Nope.

The fries were good, the salad consisted of iceberg lettuce, canned corn and beans, a tomato and a ready-made dressing. The vegetarian burger was a complete disaster. The patty mixture was cold and the spell did not experience any heat either. Very unkind for 16.90 per dish —————————————————- Addition from August 22, 2024. Similar to other critical comments about this restaurant, the operator is trying to have them deleted via Google. I was accused of slander. Which I find a real impudence. I've never experienced anything like this before. What's the point of reviewing a restaurant if the restaurant deletes all critical reviews?

This afternoon I spontaneously cycled from Karben along the Nidda to Download Under. Here you can find original Hamburger variants but also schnitzel and good beer. The service is attentive, friendly and very nice. The outside area is directly on the main street. Nevertheless, you can eat well there. A slightly denser and higher separation from the footpath/street would be pleasant. Inside it's nice and rustic. It is reminiscent of an English sports bar with a large television. But spacious. The prices are rather high. 1 person pays around 25-30 euros with a drink. But that's also something you don't do every day.

Restaurant im Zentrum der Stadt. Das große Restaurant bietet viele Plätze, auch im Außenbereich. Dazu gibt es eine komplett abgetrennte Raucherlounge. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und man sitz nie lange "auf dem Trockenen" Das Essen ist ok aber kein Highlight. Der bestellte Burger war geschmacklich in Ordnung und auch preislich angemessen. Die Salate waren im Verhältnis zur Portionsgröße recht teuer. Durch die Lage sind Parkmöglichkeiten eingeschränkt. Am besten kommt man zu Fuß.

I have proof of this and it was even 3 stars (picture). Of course you can cheat your way to 4.6 stars. You can see in the picture: 3 stars, in Polish it says that it was too expensive for the quality. Ridiculous!

Very tasty food, unfortunately the prices for the food are excessive

You can expect to pay €25-30 per person, good burgers with different types of meat etc. Emu, kangaroo or ostrich. Spanish rap and pop music was playing in the restaurant.

My wife and I had the steak. We wanted it medium, but it was almost done. This wouldn't have been so bad if the meat had taste. Unfortunately the taste just wasn't there. The meat tasted like it was frozen or a little older. The fries were good, the homemade ice teas were delicious. For the price I expected good and tasty meat. Unfortunately, that wasn't it.

Delicious food at reasonable prices. There are some offers, but it is not clearly stated which ones apply or whether they can be combined. Ambience is interesting, but quite dark and there is a bit of an unpleasant smell, probably because of the smoking room.

It's too small portions for very expensive prices. Service wasn't good either, even though we had reserved a seat, there was no reserved sign on the table. I will never bring guests there again, it was a deception for me.

Stylischer Laden mit open air Flair. Cheesburger mit einer Hand voll Pommes und einer miniminischale Coleslaw für 19,90....wow...ambitioniert bepreist. Burgerpaddy sah aus wie Tiefkühlware. Wiederholungsgefahr gen Null. Bedienung war freundlich und aufmerksam.

The ambience and seating options were good, but the food was very expensive (Sirlion Steak 220gr for €38) and, for example, the tender pork loin steak (fat Sam pork steak) with mushroom sauce was totally dry. Young, inexperienced waitresses who even poured red wine down the trousers and blouse of a lady at the table. Therefore no recommendation.

The location is great, the atmosphere for football yesterday was great. Unfortunately the cuisine is not what I imagine an Australian restaurant to be. The price-performance ratio doesn't fit.
