The Restorante Rococco no longer exists. But the successor, “La Vite,” is already underway and is renovating the entire restaurant. La Vite plans to open soon. There are already two pizzerias in the area with the same name, and all the owners are related to each other. That gives hope for the future, because you are always in good hands with the two existing ones.

All four different pizzas were good, the dough was thin, and there was plenty of topping. Unfortunately, the red and white checkered tablecloths were dirty and unappetizing. The service was unprofessional; for example, half the plates were cleared even though two people were still eating.

Today, my wife and I went to the Gasthaus zum neuen Schwan for dinner late in the afternoon, as we were looking for a new favorite restaurant—or rather, are. My wife quickly found what she was looking for and opted for the burger. I, on the other hand, couldn't quite decide between the mushroom schnitzel with spaetzle and a side salad or the cordon bleu with seasonal vegetables and croquettes. So I asked the waitress if it was possible to get the cordon bleu with the schnitzel's side dishes—that is, spaetzle with a side salad—plus some mushroom sauce on the spaetzle. The waitress kindly agreed and said it wouldn't be a problem. We both enjoyed the meal—the cordon bleu was good, as was the burger. The only thing I found was that the mushroom sauce was a bit too thin in consistency, not in flavor (my personal opinion). Unfortunately, the surprise came when I paid: I paid a whopping €30.50 for the Cordon Bleu with spaetzle, sauce, and side salad. The mushroom sauce was charged at €1.50, which is perfectly fine. What I find absolutely unfair, however, is that the side salad was charged separately for €6, even though I had explicitly requested that the sides be swapped. I should have been told this honestly and transparently when I ordered—and not as a surprise on the bill. If I had been told this when I ordered, I would certainly have chosen something else, like the rump steak. It's a shame, because such a bad aftertaste on the bill unfortunately significantly tarnishes the overall impression.
