Das Essen war ok, Ambiente sehr schön. Nur der Service war schlecht. Meine Suppe kam 10 Minuten eher als die Getränke. Auf bitten erst die Getränke zu servieren kam nur ein Schulterzucken. Leere Gläser wurden abgeräumt ohne zu fragen ob man noch was trinken möchte. Sehr Schade, das hat das ganzen Abend vermiest. Insgesamt den Preis nicht wert.

Die Location ist schön, das Essen sehr gut aber die Portionen für die Preise einfach viel zu klein… Man geht hungrig hin - aber auch hungrig wieder raus! Geschmacklich wirklich top aber man wird nicht satt. Muss jeder selber wissen ob er so viel Geld für so wenig ausgibt.

Ganz klare Empfehlung ! Super Service, sehr gutes Essen und super Aufmerksam ! Waren mit unseren Trauzeugen zum 1 Jährigen feiern ! Allen waren begeistert !

Das einzige, was eine fünf Sterne Bewertung verhindert, sind die stark gehobenen Preise. Besonders hervorzuheben sind dafür das wunderschöne Ambiente, sowie das super freundliche Personal. Ich habe einige Bewertungen gelesen, dass man vom Personal nicht gefragt werden würde ob alles soweit passt. Das konnten wir bei uns glücklicherweise nicht feststellen. Zu besonderen Anlässen wie Jahrestagen o.Ä. ist ein Besuch absolut zu empfehlen

Waren zum ersten Mal hier und ich muss sagen, es hat toll geschmeckt, riesiges Buffet mit allen was man sich wünscht, von Leberknödel-, Spargelcremesuppe über Reh-, Rinderbraten, Schweinefilet, Lachs, dazu Klöße oder Kartoffeln, Blaukraut oder Spargel und danach noch Nachtisch. Die Bedienungen waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, was es nicht mehr oft gibt. Wir sind hier so Super bewirtet worden und können es zu 100 % weiter empfehlen. Wir kommen gerne wieder

Sehr schönes Lokal mit freundlichen Mitarbeitern und mit sehr schöner Terrasse für den Sommer. Das Essen war auch sehr lecker. Und: Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.. Update: Wir waren zum Frühstücken und dem Schnitzel-Buffet wieder da. Immer wieder toll und alles sehr lecker. Nur eine Anregung zum Buffet, da hat uns ein unpaniertes Schnitzel zu den sehr guten Soßen gefehlt. Die nächste Reservierung zum Fisch-Buffet ist schon bestätigt.

Ein wunderschön modern gestaltetes Restaurant mit gepflegtem Wasserlauf im Außenbereich und schön mit künstlerisch gestaltetem Rosengarten. Essen, Bedienung, Preis Leistung - alles hervorragend und sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir waren das erste Mal dort und haben für das Schnitzelbuffet reserviert. Das Essen wurde insgesamt immer sehr zügig aufgefüllt und niemand musste länger warten. Essen war solide, es gab auch viele Beilagen. Leider war das Lokal scheinbar überreserviert, jedenfalls konnte man bei Reservierung den Anlass "Date" auswählen, was wir gemacht haben. An unserem geschmückten "Date-Tisch" saßen dann 4 andere Personen und wir vor dem lieblosen Notausgang. Das hätte anders gelöst werden müssen. Das Personal war freundlich, aber niemand kam um die Getränkebestellung aufzunehmen oder allgemein mal nachzufragen, ob alles passt. Wir waren deshalb auch nicht lange und sind zügig wieder gegangen, obwohl das Ambiente insgesamt sehr schön ist.

Wir waren am Ostermontag zu Mittagsbuffet dort eingeladen. Liegt zwar etwas abgelegen aber sehr ruhig. Schon von außen macht das Restaurant seinen Namen 100% Ehre. Wie im Märchen Dornröschen außen und innen. Trotz das es sehr viel Plätze gibt ist es richtig gemütlich. Selbst im ausgebauten Keller ungemütlich. Da mussten wir hin da an Ostern alles voll war. Das Mittagsbuffet ein Traum. Ich nahm mein Lieblingsessen Lamm mit Klößen und Wirsching. Weiter gab's noch Lendchen, Ente. Semmelklos ,Salate, Leberklöschensuppe uvm. Mir hat es hervorragend geschmeckt. Meine Frau musste leider ihr Essen selbst mitbringen, da sie Allergiker ist und mit Gewürzen und anderem vorsichtig sein muss und nicht alles essen kann. Doch das war für das seeeehr freundlich junge Personal kein Problem. Das mitgebrachte wurde warm gemacht und sogar an den Tisch gebracht. Am Schluss bekam meine Frau sogar ihren ausgespülten Topf an den Tisch. Ich kann dieses Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen. Wie kommen bald wieder und nehmen die 50 km in Kauf. Wir wurden durch Facebook-Werbung auf das schöne Restaurant aufmerksam und gingen zum Schnitzel-Buffet. Unsere Erwartungen wurden echt übertroffen. Leckeres, reichhaltiges Essen, tolles Ambiente drinnen und draußen und viele aufmerksame Kellner. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Mittagsbuffet mit 4 Gängen, alles war sehr lecker und äußerst preiswert. Das Personal ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Hier komme ich sehr gerne wieder.

Waren heute zu viert zum Essen hier anlässlich des Geburtstags meiner Tochter und wir waren alle sehr begeistert...gut über die Größe der Portionen lässt sich streiten, da wäre noch Luft nach oben...aber qualitativ nix auszusetzen...besonders hervorzuheben war der supertolle Service 🥰...der junge Mann der uns bedient hat war super freundlich ünd sehr aufmerksam...dem geben wir noch zusätzlich 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐...und es gab für jeden 1 Glas Sekt zum Empfang 👍🤗

Trotz Reservierung für 2 Personen in einem gemütlichen Eckchen wurden wir mitten in den Gastraum gesetzt. Die ebenfalls bestellten Schäufele waren aus, ebenso die alternativ Angebotene Entenbrust. Es wurde uns dann noch ein „dann kann ichs auch nicht ändern“ als Rechtfertigung an den Tisch gebracht. Wir haben dann das Geld für die Getränke auf den Tisch gelegt da uns niemand eine Rechnung bringen wollte. Wirklich Schade drum!!

Das Essen ist gut, wurde ohne lange Wartezeiten serviert und schmeckt. Der Service ist flott, aufmerksam und unaufdringlich. Leider empfand ich die Portionen als etwas zu klein geraten. Für gute Esser wie mich braucht es etwas mehr. Ich hatte Rinderroulade mit Kloß.

Ich kann hier alles empfehlen, außer die Cocktails.

Wir haben das Restaurant am 07.02.2026 besucht. Wir hatten zum einen die drei Fischvariationen und die Salatbowl mit Huhn. Geschmacklich gab es nichts zum aussetzen leider stimmt das Preis - Mengenverhältniss nicht!! Wir sind hungrig rein und hungrig raus. Das Ambiente ist sehr nett...aber ob das ausreicht um es weiter zu empfehlen muss jeder selber wissen.

Salat schmeckte, wie aus der Verpackung Service ist eine Katastrophe! Besteck wird einfach so auf den Tisch gelegt; Servietten haben wir nicht bekommen. Ich fragte nach Salz und Pfeffer, was ich nicht bekam. Keiner fragte, ob das Essen schmeckt. Die Gläser waren leer und keiner fragte, ob wir noch etwas möchten… nach dem Abräumen kam auch kein Kellner - wir warteten dann am Servicepoint, um bezahlen zu dürfen… Preis und Leistung stehen in keinem Verhältnis!!! Viel zu teuer für diese Qualität!

Das Restaurant ist etwas abgelegen, das Ambiente ist modern und gemütlich. Der Service war gut, allerdings ohne die Zwischenfrage ob alles passt und am Ende ob es geschmeckt hat. Die Hauptgerichten waren sehr gut, das Schnitzel für 23,50€ ist für den großen Hunger zu klein. Ketchup und Mayo kosten jeweils 1€ extra, muss nicht sein. Es fehlte ein Beilagensalat, dieser sollte bei den hohen Preisen mit dabei sein. Ohne Schlemmerblock ein teures Vergnügen.

Wir haben heute die Obermain Therme besucht und sind deshalb auf das Restaurant Dornröschen aufmerksam geworden. Es fällt schon auf dem Parkplatz die tolle Location auf. Auch die Einrichtung ist gehoben. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Man fühlt sich direkt willkommen. Auf der Karte ist für jeden etwas dabei. Wir wählten den Holzfäller-Spieß und die Frankenpfanne. Beide Portionen waren groß und haben sehr gut geschmeckt. Preis/Leistung ist hier sehr gut. Wir können einen Besuch auf jeden Fall empfehlen.

Wunderschönes Restaurant. Essen nicht so viel Auswahl für mich und auch der Preis etwas zu viel. Habe aber Vorspeise, Hauptspeise und Nachtisch gefunden war sehr lecker und ich war richtig satt. Komme im Sommer wieder.

Ein absolutes Erlebnis in gehobener Atmosphere und und extravagantem Essen! Die Preise sind etwas gehoben, aber ehrlichgesagt hatte ich teurer erwartet für dieses wunderschön eingerichtete Restaurant. Absolut empfehlenswet. Danke auch für den Sekt (Geschenk vom Restaurant zum Geburtstag).

Kannte das Restaurant bisher nicht. Mit dem Schlemmerpass besucht und positiv überrascht gewesen. Die Preise sind leicht gehoben, aber angesichts des Gesamtbildes angemessen. Es gab nichts auszusetzen. Das Essen war lecker, der Service aufmerksam und höflich. Das Ambiente ist modern und ansprechend. Auch für einen schönen Pärchen-Abend geeignet (man kann ein Candlelight-Diner buchen). Im Sommer gibt es wohl einen Biergarten im schön angelegten Außenbereich. Dazu kann ich aber leider nichts sagen...wir waren im Oktober hier.

Schön eingerichtetes Restaurant, super Essen, sehr nette Bedienung. Kann die negativen Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen. Stefan hat die Bedienung komplett alleine übernommen. Restaurant war nicht voll, dennoch gut besucht. Alles ging fix und trotzdem hatte er zwischendurch noch Zeit für einen kurzen Plausch. Wir kommen wieder!

Die schlechten Bewertungen kann ich überhaupt nicht verstehen. Der Service(Mann) war äußerst freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen war sehr gut frisch zubereitet und das Ambiente einfach nur WOW 🤩 Absolute Empfehlung und jederzeit gerne wieder 👍

The best service I've ever experienced. My parents and I ordered three dishes, all of which were delicious (grilled cheese on a hot stone, Franconian pan, and farmer's schnitzel). From the very beginning, we noticed that our waiter, Stefan, was very thoughtful and attentive. I had the hot stone, which, of course, cooled down eventually. I was almost finished eating anyway and didn't think the stone could be replaced. Shortly after, Stefan offered to do just that, but I politely declined—I was almost done, after all. Then I was very surprised when, after the meal, he offered me dessert as an apology for noticing too late that my stone had cooled down. I chose the cheesecake, which was also absolutely delicious. A heartfelt thank you for this pleasant evening and a special compliment to Stefan. It's quite an art to be so attentive while remaining completely unobtrusive.

We were here for dinner. The garlic bread (2 slices) for €6 was a bit steep... The schnitzel was unfortunately a little dry and didn't come with any sauce. The fries were nice and crispy. The service was friendly. The atmosphere was upscale.

A very nice restaurant. Unfortunately, the food was not at all convincing for the price. We were a party of four. Three meals arrived at the same time, the fourth more than five minutes later. In one meal, the Spätzle were overcooked, the sauce watery and very bland. The burgers were good. The surf and turf was simply served with mayonnaise. We had expected aioli or something similar, not just plain mayonnaise. The service was also disappointing. I won't go into further detail here. The restaurant itself is very nicely and elegantly designed.

We hadn't been to this restaurant before, so this was our first time here, but definitely not our last. The service was very friendly, the food delicious, and the atmosphere was simply fantastic. Five stars are more than justified!

Sleeping Beauty is a little jewel

A beautiful restaurant that looks like a fairytale castle from the outside. The interior is also very pleasant. The service was very attentive and prompt. My skewer of rump steak and pork fillet was excellent. However, charging €6.50 for a small salad is outrageous. Nevertheless, I would be happy to stop by again sometime.

We recently visited the Dornröschen restaurant in Lichtenfels and were thrilled! The food was not only delicious but also lovingly prepared. We were particularly pleasantly surprised by the wonderful ambiance – the atmosphere invites you to linger and makes the visit a special experience. The service was friendly and attentive. An all-round successful evening! We will definitely be back.

1. The food wasn't brought to the person present until everyone else had finished long ago. 2. There were flies everywhere, and the light was a bit painful for the eyes. 3. The food was good, not above average, but moderately decent for the price. 4. When we were finished and one person wanted to pack their food, three waiters said "right away." In the end, one of them took it (to be packed), and the food never came back.

Unfortunately, our visit to the Dornröschen restaurant was truly disappointing. We entered the evening with high expectations, anticipating a generally positive experience based on the many positive reviews and the high prices. The wait staff gave the impression of being mostly made up of part-time workers, which in itself wouldn't be a bad thing, but their hectic and clueless attitude made it very negative. Furthermore, we weren't greeted with a "Hello" upon entering, but simply with "Do you have a reservation?" The service continued to be rather disappointing. While not unfriendly, it seemed disorganized, hectic, and impersonal. There was a lack of a service concept. The food also didn't match the high price. It was okay, but nothing more. Many dishes were simply served with fries, which unfortunately looked like frozen fries and thus didn't live up to our expectations of the Dornröschen. The menu was just a laminated sheet of paper, and the tables were decorated with unsightly plastic roses and an unlit kerosene candle. At these prices, I expect exactly these details, which were unfortunately missing here. We ultimately paid around €65 for two people (without starter and dessert) and unfortunately went home very disappointed. That shouldn't be the case, especially if you want to treat yourself to something nice. We advise against a visit. It's a real shame.

We had dinner at the Dornröschen restaurant during our vacation. We were delighted by the entire ambiance, the atmosphere, and the menu. The service and staff were very attentive. We would gladly return.

We were there for the first time yesterday. Service by two young men was absolutely outstanding – friendly, fast, and competent! And what I find very important: they always checked to see if we needed any more drinks. The food was very quick! We had a grilled platter, burgers, and fish – everything, including the side dishes, cooked to perfection/very good and served quickly! Desserts, as recommended by the waitress, were also excellent. The ambiance and design of the restaurant, and especially the outdoor area, were absolutely top-notch! And the equally excellent Vierzehnheiligener Trunk beer. 🍻👍 The prices are absolutely reasonable, too. Overall, it's hard to beat, and we'll definitely be back! Deserves 5 stars!

The food was tasty, but a bit mixed (schnitzel and roast veal), otherwise excellent, but expensive.

My wife and I had dinner at the restaurant, which was very busy 👍. Now I know why. The atmosphere was truly wonderful. The service was also excellent. The menu was very appealing. After an appetizer, my wife chose the fish dishes. She was very satisfied. I had the meat skewer with fries. The fries were super tasty and crispy👍. The meat on the skewer was just as you would expect. The mushroom sauce was very good but unfortunately cold, not even lukewarm. That shouldn't happen. Furthermore, preheated plates, especially on the wonderful terrace, would have counteracted this. We want to try the other dishes as well. We still want to recommend it. The restaurant has class!!!! You're happy to pay a little more for it. Highly recommended for celebrations!!!

We visited Dornröschen for the first time for our 10th anniversary (we could also pre-book/note it in the reservation). When we arrived, the atmosphere was very strange. All we could hear was the refrigerator whirring loudly, and the occasional ringtone or a text message from the owner. We were served promptly and friendly. However, there was no special treat/attention for our special day (again, I wonder why they can state this?/ask for it?). The menu consisted of a laminated sheet, which I don't think is appropriate for a fancy restaurant. The food didn't live up to my expectations: I ordered a "Caesar salad with creamy dressing" - but I got a mixed salad with chicken strips and a maximum (!) teaspoon of watery dressing. Since when do you have pickled peppers, coleslaw, and pickled carrots in a Caesar salad? They didn't even use romaine lettuce. For me, that was simply misleading and disappointing. Even after dinner, there was no reason to assume our anniversary would still be celebrated (e.g., with a glass of champagne or at least a beautiful candle on the table...etc.) Good. When we wanted to pay, all the waiters were busy talking about the week's plans (the only noise in the room, besides the loud refrigerator), and when someone finally came, they explained to us that it was important (...as a guest, you just have to wait). One more small comment: for a restaurant with "Rose" in its name, I didn't think it was appropriate to have cheap plastic flowers on the tables—but that's a matter of taste. All in all, a rather oppressive stay, which the food doesn't necessarily make up for. We won't be back.

We were here for the first time yesterday. The ambiance is incredibly beautiful and cozy, the service incredibly courteous and attentive, and the food incredibly delicious. We'll definitely be back.

We celebrated my daughter's confirmation with a total of 37 people at the Dornröschen restaurant. The food was very good, but there were several aspects of the service that weren't quite right and didn't meet our expectations for such a restaurant. We wanted to discuss these issues with the owner after the celebration. Ms. Weiss didn't address our criticisms at all and came across as very arrogant and dismissive during the conversation. All of our politely raised concerns were rudely dismissed with flimsy excuses and justifications. Since no understanding was apparent, we cannot recommend the restaurant for larger celebrations. We will hold our family celebrations at other restaurants in the future.

The lunch menu was quite limited—not a problem in principle, but a warning about it beforehand would have been helpful. The food was okay, but nothing more. The service seemed rather unmotivated, which noticeably affected the atmosphere. The restaurant certainly has potential—especially the outdoor area is beautifully designed and invites you to linger. It's a shame that this potential isn't fully realized due to the underwhelming cuisine and the service, which could be improved. Overall, the visit was so underwhelming that I wouldn't return or recommend it.

Unfortunately, my visit to the "Sleeping Beauty" restaurant was marked by a few disappointments, which I find difficult to understand given the many positive online reviews. Although the ambiance is generally very nice, there were several points that marred the overall experience. The tables on the terrace, in particular, had more the charm of a home patio than that of a professional restaurant. Service with room for improvement Unfortunately, the service started a bit choppy, even with a simple request. When we asked for a different table, we received different answers from three different staff members before the third waiter was finally able to help us. As the evening progressed, the staff's attentiveness seemed to wane. We would have liked to order more drinks, but unfortunately, no one came to our table to take our orders. Poor quality of drinks and details One particularly striking aspect was the drinks. The beer we ordered was unfortunately not cold enough, which is a real shame given the current temperatures. The Spritz, which came at a rather high price, also seemed carelessly prepared and were only half-filled, which in no way reflected their value. One small detail that also caught my eye: With a schnitzel priced at over €20, ketchup was charged extra for the fries and wasn't included – rather unusual and disappointing in this price category. Solid but unspectacular food The food itself was okay, but nothing more than that. There were no real highlights or special features that would have been memorable. For the price, I would have appreciated a bit more creativity and refinement to really make the dish stand out. Conclusion In summary, my visit to "Dornröschen" unfortunately fell short of expectations. The inconsistent service and the sometimes poor quality of the drinks, in particular, significantly marred the evening. Even though the food was solid, that alone doesn't justify the sometimes high prices compared to the value offered. I hope that management will take these points as constructive criticism so that they can offer future guests a completely satisfactory experience.

Very good food and exceptionally nice ambience

We can only recommend the Dornröschen with reservations. It was exceptionally clean; we've never seen such an extremely well-maintained and clean restaurant. From the dining room, to the kitchen (which you could see into), to the restrooms... everything was absolutely spotless. The server was extremely attentive, and we were grateful that it was even open. Unfortunately, we somehow ordered the wrong dish. It was on the daily special and seemed the most practical option since we were passing through. It was a "mixed roast" consisting of a shoulder of pork, roulade, and pork. Great idea, but it had been "in the roasting pan for a very long time." You could taste that it was somehow leftover from the last few days. Of course, it's a good idea to use it up, and the price was absolutely reasonable, but it just tasted...old! I'm a very good cook myself, so I can make that assessment. In retrospect, we didn't enjoy it. Unfortunately, that's a real shame. But otherwise, we have nothing but praise for this restaurant.

This isn't a restaurant you just go to because you don't want to cook. You stop in and enjoy the pleasant atmosphere. The dishes are beautifully presented, expertly prepared from fresh ingredients. The value for money is therefore justifiable.

An extremely beautiful location with a special ambiance. You won't find something like this everywhere. You feel very comfortable amidst the elegant and welcoming decor. We've been here several times, most recently for a celebration – everyone loved it, the food was great, and the ambiance was breathtaking. We'd love to come again, thank you very much!

We spontaneously went to the Sleeping Beauty for dinner. I've never been there before and was very pleasantly surprised. Very friendly staff, the food was very tasty (even the eyes eat with it😉), and the rooms and ambience were very impressive. We will definitely come back soon!

For us, a spontaneous visit to the Dornröschen restaurant. The ambience is stylish and pleasant. The dishes were very good, including "surf and turf" with shrimp and chicken. Various dips with garlic and mango curry were great. The service was friendly and competent. We look forward to our next visit.

In my opinion there is very good quality here. We really enjoyed the dishes. The focus here was on the product in its originality - i.e. not overly seasoned. Was really very good. The portions were also generous. By the way: I glanced into the kitchen as I walked past because the door was open: clean and tidy. You don't have to hide anything here. The waiter was also very attuned to his guests... Thank you for a lovely evening with great food!

More appearance than reality. The interior resembles a ballroom from the 70s. To eat: Ordered schnitzel, got cordon bleu… The savoy cabbage as a side dish with the duck breast was already cold...the portion was quite small... The younger waiter tried hard, the older colleague was quite unfriendly. We hadn't even finished eating when the plate was simply taken away from us without asking. 2 stars for the wonderful ambience in summer. Was there in winter now. Incomprehensible that radio music is playing, a seat with a view of the kitchen is offered, the staff has problems communicating and, as a highlight, overpriced canteen food is offered.

Were there in the evening, boring, too quiet, not a bit of music. The food doesn't have any side salad, not even a small one, no sauce. And you could also have Cortonblue with a farmer's schnitzel with fries I don't have to have it again for 23 euros. And the opening times 😕

Lunch (grilled knuckle with sauerkraut and dumpling) on ​​Sunday was delicious and we didn't have to wait long. The restaurant is attractively decorated inside and out. The Schlemmerblock voucher and credit cards are accepted. However, the prices of the evening menu are a bit high.
