Don Kebab in Alsdorf

That was the last time for me. The inconsistent quality is truly absurd. Sometimes the doner tastes fantastic and the meat is really good, sometimes there's no sauce, sometimes no salad, sometimes it's almost all meat, sometimes there's way too much sauce, sometimes there are onions even though I didn't order any. What's wrong with you people? Twice I didn't get a doner at all because they ran out of meat in the early evening. This time, one dürüm simply had no sauce at all (see photo), and the other dürüm had onions, even though I explicitly said "no onions, please!" at the counter. Furthermore, the meat was dry and much too tough/overcooked in some places, while in others it definitely needed a few more minutes. There was also fat stuck between the pieces of meat. Unfortunately, it went straight in the bin; €16 down the drain.

I can't comment on the atmosphere since we used the drive-thru. The food was absolutely delicious. It was our first time at Don Kebab, but definitely not our last.

We recently visited this snack bar for the first time. It's great that they offer a drive-thru. We ate in, though. The atmosphere was friendly, and the service was excellent. The doner kebab was fresh and delicious. You can choose between two types of meat. There's also a wide selection of sauces. The fries were really tasty—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. :-) We'll definitely be back.

Don Kebab – once a legend, now just a TikTok-filtered goulash joint. Burr burr. The doner kebab? It tastes so incredibly bad, help. 🥙💀 It used to be edible, now it's just an experimental goulash mess. Instead of keeping the doner consistent, they just throw in whatever's on sale: burgers, donuts, bowls – and probably sushi and dumplings next. And yeah, mac & cheese in a doner for €15. Dude, that's not food, that's a crime against humanity. The quality of a regular doner kebab? Completely forgotten. Open at the bottom like the entrance to Tartarus, all the filling spills out. You bite into the top, and a tsunami of coleslaw and cheese slime erupts onto your shoes. 🌊👟 Spoiler alert: It doesn't taste good anyway, but at least you've got plenty of flooring. And the cheese… Dude, what's going on? 🧀 It tasted so bad, I swear, for a second I thought I was eating cursed demon candles. Ghostly. Who approved this? Free refill vending machine? GONE. 😡 That was the only thing that halfway saved this place. Now I'm supposed to pay €4 for a Coke and say "thank you"? No way. Mozzarella sticks? Bro, Lidl frozen mozzarella tastes better – and here you pay €1 per stick. ONE euro. For a limp piece of cheese that even looks offended in the microwave. Who's pranking whom with these goulash prices? Conclusion: Don Kebab = once a legend, now a deluxe goulash joint. Doner kebab lost, cheese demon, prices Satan. Burr burr, scurr scurr, pure disappointment. 🚮

Twice on the same day, my order was incomplete. The salad was simply thrown into the bowl without dressing. The onions I ordered were completely missing. The meat portion arrived without sauce or bread, even though I had ordered two sauces, and the doner plate consisted almost entirely of fries and a tiny portion of meat. I called twice to complain and was simply told to speak to the manager. How am I supposed to speak to the manager? The staff member on the phone was unfriendly and didn't even try to accommodate me in any way. I will never order food from there again! The food was awful.

Disaster – save yourself the trouble! I don't even know where to begin. This kebab shop is an absolute disgrace. No cutlery, no plates – they just shove your food into your hands like you're at a festival, except you're paying exorbitant prices, like you're in a fancy restaurant. The toilets? Broken and simply disgusting. Anyone who goes in here must be either desperate or suicidal. You really get the feeling that hygiene is just a rumor in this place. And forget about the service. No waiter, nothing – you have to get everything yourself and then say "thank you" for the exorbitant price. Unbelievable. Going here is just throwing your money away. There are countless better kebab shops – any other one would do. Never again. Absolutely disappointing.

This used to be my absolute favorite kebab shop. I worked in Alsdorf and even occasionally drove from Aachen to Alsdorf for a kebab. Those days are over. I was there recently and was shocked at how steep the prices were compared to the amount of food. The taste was okay, but first of all, they'd changed the bread from a normal kebab wrap to a kind of panini. That means you can only fit half the meat in. Then, the "kebab" was crammed full of salad, about 70% of it. You practically needed a magnifying glass to find the meat. I even had to add my own sauce at home. It felt like I'd bought a salad between two slices of bread, and to top it all off, the kebab was significantly more expensive. Sorry, but with so many kebab shops around here, I'd much rather eat somewhere where I actually get my money's worth. I understand that food prices have risen and they have to come up with clever ideas to make a profit, but I'm not going back. ;)

I travelled from Stuttgart to Alsdorf today. The doner kebab was recommended to me. We tried the steak. It was awful, full of gristle and filled with fat. It was like rubber. I can't recommend it. Guaranteed stomach ache.

I thought I'd give the place another chance. I've eaten there at least five times already and never had any luck. I really don't know how the place stays in business. But now I've finally gotten around to posting this picture because I almost broke a tooth eating there – the meat was so charred! And the salad was probably from two days ago. I wouldn't recommend this place to my enemy.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place at all. The bread and fries were soggy, as if they were still raw. The meat wasn't even remotely browned. There was hardly any sauce, and "spicy" was anything but. I thought a doner kebab would at least taste okay, but sadly, I was wrong. It's absolutely not for us.

The meat was rubbery and gray (veal), and the vegetables soaked the bread, which was truly unappealing. There were days when the doner tasted better, but shouldn't a doner be appetizing every day? For €7.50, I definitely expect a lot more.

The food was cold and really not tasty, and too expensive. We ordered takeaway, but still had to wait. The tables were dirty, the toilets were broken! And they only had wooden cutlery. But the Coke was delicious.

Ordered a kebab without onions at the drive-thru. Unfortunately, we got it with onions... Every time we've ordered there, there's not enough sauce... We won't be going there anymore.

Hello... Yesterday we had the opportunity to visit this restaurant 🙂 The food is top-notch! 🫡 The service is great 👌 The atmosphere is very good. Only one thing...the cutlery is wooden 😜 and instead of plates...paper containers 🤣🤣🤣 It's worth considering whether this really ensures the appropriate quality and standard 🤔😉🤷‍♂️

I ordered a doner kebab with extra chicken to take away today. I have to say, it tasted absolutely amazing and the portion was very generous. My expectations were completely exceeded. And the staff were very friendly and competent.

The durum is delicious! Lots of meat, juicy, a good combination of vegetables.

In a time when kebab shops are everywhere, there are still some that can't quite get it right. By far, I had the worst kebab. The meat, if you can call it meat, was partly raw or burnt (a wild combination). The bread was so crispy that when I bit into it, it broke into 10 pieces, and half the contents fell out. There was more sauce in the kebab than salad. I could have just ordered a bowl of garlic sauce with meat and a bit of salad.

The best kebab for miles around. Both the chicken and veal are delicious. In addition to a wide selection of homemade sauces, it's the bread that stands out compared to the standard breads of other kebab shops. Even the 20% price increase effective April 1st won't change the fact that, in terms of value for money, this is the best quality kebab in the area. Furthermore, the owner is super friendly and always on the same page with his customers. He often throws in sauces with fries or a free drink. Simply a great guy! 👌 UPDATE 08/15/2025: We were there for the first time since the change of ownership, and the disappointment couldn't have been greater. Unfortunately, Don Kebab has drastically deteriorated in almost every area. The bread was almost untoasted, and all four doner kebabs on our table broke in exactly the same place, in the worst possible place for a doner kebab: the very bottom, so that the sauce completely ran out. As a result, the doner kebab completely broke at the bottom, and you made a complete mess. Unfortunately, the meat didn't taste as good as it did under Mo. The decline in quality is consistent throughout the doner kebab and unfortunately didn't stop with the sauces. These were also significantly worse, and the doner kebab was drenched in sauce (perhaps to compensate for the sauce seeping out of the bread where it broke). The special sauce, in particular, was a huge disappointment. It seems completely different compared to Don Kebab under Mo. This now yellowish sauce unfortunately bears no resemblance to the great special sauce of the past. Only the salad hasn't changed noticeably. Our doner kebab meals still included fries and a drink. The fries certainly wouldn't have been bad if they hadn't been completely oversalted. Drinks are no longer all-you-can-drink, but only a can or bottle. So, another downgrade. The only bright spot during our visit was Mo, who, as always, served us super friendly. Mo is the best thing about this place since the change of ownership! The disappointment with this visit is huge, and unfortunately, Don Kebab no longer offers anything that a standard doner kebab doesn't.

The flatbread wasn't cooked through... The lamacun just tasted of sauce. The wait was long.

The service was excellent, attentive, and the staff listened carefully and made the doner and lahmacun perfectly. I've eaten a lot of doner and other dishes, but this place is among my top 3. The sauces are all very good, especially because they've put some thought into offering something truly different besides the standard cocktail and tzatziki sauces. I ate there 🍀🌷

Solid kebab... Tastes good, and the menu offers plenty of it. However, I find 0.50 cents for a packet of mayo a bit steep, especially since it should be included in a meal with fries.

Doner kebab plate for €12.90... The price would be okay if they didn't give such a small amount, like for a small child. Elsewhere, I can get a large doner kebab plate for €11 with much more meat and fries. The fries were extremely oversalted; I felt really sick afterward. The service was also bad. You order something, pay, and then have to go up and pick up the food yourself. I've never experienced that before, maybe at a snack bar where you order something to go, but that wasn't the case... and there are no plates or proper cutlery. Everything's made of plastic... So, I won't be eating there anymore.

They have a drive through, perfect for grabbing a lahmacun on the way back from a long trip or from tennis.

I ate there today and was unfortunately very disappointed. The dürüm completely fell apart, was poorly rolled, and was unstable. They also used the wrong sauce, even though I had clearly stated which one I wanted. The flavor wasn't what I expected. I ended up having to throw away both halves of the dürüm because it was simply inedible. It's a shame; something like that shouldn't happen with a simple doner dish.

I got a smash burger with homemade fries. The burger itself wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. The Joppie sauce tasted like a ready-made sauce from the Action store. The bread was old and dry. The fries weren't cooked through. I also don't understand why they don't offer free sauce with the fries, and why you even have to pay €1 for it. Even Burger King and McDonald's offer at least one sauce with the fries. Overall, disappointed. I won't go there again.

The food is great, but the taste in music is completely lacking. Furthermore, the staff could be more polite and not just listen with one ear; then the order would match the bag.

Was there today and have tried the kebab since the change of ownership. I mentioned this at the checkout. The kebab was delicious. The bread is home-baked, you can taste it, it definitely has something... 2 euros for extra meat is a lot for what you get extra. Points deducted for freshly cut meat that is mixed in with meat that has already been cut. Points deducted for the salad bar because the salad is no longer crisp in these temperatures. It's a bit disappointing. But you could still go back. I eat too much kebab so I have to be honest. It tasted good!

As we thought we would enter a nice turkish döner place. Instead it was more of a cold atmosphere just like a Mcdonalds. The food menu seemed interesting because there are three differend brands/ companies selling here. Don kebap, Tutto burger and boho bowls. It is a bit complicated they have two different cash registers because they are actually seperate businesses. But there is no service really. You take your own drinks and own cutleries and paper towels. They just give you the food. We had ordered a philly steak burger with sweet potato fries and a doner sandwhich. My sweet potato fries did not even have a plate or something it was just put on the tray. The sweet potatos were the best of these. if you want fast /cheap dinner, it is the place. if not, it will not be worth to dine here.

At Don Kebab Alsdorf, I tried the baked veal doner kebab, and I was absolutely thrilled! The meat was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. Combined with the baked cheese and crispy bread, it made for a truly delicious combination that you won't find everywhere. The portion was generous, freshly prepared, and delicious. The staff was friendly, and the service was fast, just as you'd expect. If you're looking for something different than the classic doner kebab, you should definitely try the baked veal doner kebab!

I ordered a kebab and a doner kebab today. When I got home, I discovered that both were 85% filled with vegetables. There was almost no meat on them. That's outrageous.

Basically, you could say that the doner kebab here tastes very good, but I recently had a less than great experience. On the menu outside at the drive-thru, for 13.90, I ordered two of them, including a baked doner kebab with your choice of bread or fries. When we got to the counter, we weren't given any fries or bread. When we asked, they said, "We no longer offer the baked doner kebab with fries." Well, then apparently we'll get the bread, but no, neither of these came with our meal. Absolutely outrageous... and therefore a clear 2-star deduction.

What kind of chicken doner was that? Barely any meat, just onions and bread. It tasted like everything... except doner. If I wanted onion toast, I would have made it myself. Truly disappointing.

Unfortunately, there was hardly any meat in my kebab. And the same goes for the kebab box. Not recommended, as long as they can always raise prices.

Shocking incident at Don Kebab, danger to life and aggressive treatment On April 12th, 2025 I ate at Don Kebab and discovered a steel wire in my food, an absolute danger to my life. When I politely raised the problem with the staff, I was not taken seriously. Instead they became aggressive, insulted me and almost attacked me No apology, no solution just disrespect and ignorance. Who wants to have metal in their food and then be treated so unkindly? Warning to everyone: stay away from this store. Never again.

It's a shame that was the last time I'll order something there. 3 orders 3 times something was wrong with the food today the cream sauce was probably out of the kebab gratin and some of the fries were still raw.

We love getting kebab here, and we were really looking forward to it yesterday. But yesterday it was a complete mishap: too greasy, there were no fries at all (which we unfortunately noticed too late), simply poor preparation. We were so disappointed, and the next visit will definitely take longer.... What a shame!!!

Unfortunately the quality is declining I went to Don Kebab today and ordered a Dürüm, a Dürüm XXL and a portion of fries. While I have mostly been satisfied in the past, this visit was unfortunately disappointing. The Dürüm XXL was only very sparsely occupied - I expected much more for the price quoted. It also wasn't convincing in terms of taste, as the ratio of meat, sauce and salad wasn't right. The portion of fries was okay, but nothing special. What particularly irritated me was the clear difference in quality compared to my previous visits. The Dürüm used to be generously filled and tasted great - today it felt more like austerity measures. It's a shame, because up to now Don Kebab has been a reliable place for good food for me. I hope that the quality improves again, otherwise I will probably look for an alternative in the future. Edit after visit on April 25, 2025 Positively surprised on the second visit – a real step forward! After my last, rather disappointing visit to Don Kebab, I gave the shop another chance - and this time I was really pleasantly surprised! As soon as I entered I was greeted warmly by the owner, who even remembered my previous review. He was extremely benevolent and courteous, apologized for the experience at the time and offered a small compensation. I found this courtesy very appreciative and by no means self-evident. About the food: This time the Dürüm was like before - generously filled, balanced in taste and freshly prepared. This time the Dürüm XXL was also absolutely worth its name. The fries were hot, crispy and significantly better seasoned than last time. It's nice to see that criticism is taken seriously and the quality is back to the usual level. I'm glad I didn't write off Don Kebab too quickly - the second impression definitely corrected the first. Keep it up!

Its a really good place to go for a quick bite to eat. The people there are really friendly and regular customers get a lot of gifts. The food can be customised according to your requirement. The drive in is the best way to pick up food and go home to enjoy it. Recomended After 2 years now, things have changed a lot. The atmosphere is not the same because it has 2 different resturents in the same building. The quantity of food has decreased considerably and the price has increased a lot over the past 2 years. I paid 15 euros for my takeaway dinner and expected a bit more than what I received. My recomendation from earlier is not valid anymore because the neighbourhood has now better placea for Kebab

My wife had a kebab menu, everything was perfect, I had an Adana dürüm with mini mince rolls that were already bottomless and they were fried and without a drink and fries for 8 euros, which was really an impertinence, never again

Had to eat something quickly, so Don Kebab was my choice... (Monday 5:40 p.m.) in the dining room only 2 people. Unfortunately, the table and chair of my choice is still full with food from other guests. There are enough staff behind the counter/in the kitchen (6 or 7 people). An indecisive family is waiting in front of me. I then go to the cash register until I am told that this cash register is for another “restaurant”. During this time, the family has now decided to let them in, but they now also want to queue at the *wrong" cash register and are directed to the Don Kebab cash register (2 meters away, but not clearly marked). The family's orders and mine take about 15 minutes to process, which I find to be clearly too long for a kebab with so many staff and no activities in the dining area. The food was good and I would eat it again. Friendliness was always there.

I've gotten a kebab from Don Kebab several times, and I have to say, the quality has declined considerably. Back then, the kebab was already a standard kebab for me, but acceptable. I went there often because of the drive-thru, as it was simply convenient. This time, however, I was very disappointed. The kebab now costs €7.50, and as a woman, I couldn't get enough to eat it. The "division" of the kebab was also very poor. I had all the vegetables on top and just meat on the bottom. Unfortunately, I can't recommend the kebab to anyone.

We were there with the kids. The cashier was very unfriendly when ordering. The chairs were full of dried-on food scraps, and the floor was sticky and dirty. Yesterday I ordered a kebab plate through Lieferando and specified the time as 7:45 p.m. I didn't want to eat until later. The food was delivered at 7:00 p.m. sharp, which was way too early. Luckily I was already at home and was able to receive the delivery, but the delivery was still far too early. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was poor. The fries were still half raw, as was the chicken. The food was generally inedible, so unfortunately I had to throw it away.

The drive in is really cool, the employees are friendly and fast and the kebab is delicious. The restaurant inside is also clean and modern and the menus are very tasty. The prices are quite high. (July 2024)

I've ordered kebab from Lieferando here about 20 times over the last few months. There is BASICALLY something wrong with every single order. I am fully aware that mistakes can happen, and I would never be angry about that. But I'm slowly questioning whether the ladies and gentlemen in the restaurant even look at the incoming orders or whether they roll the dice to determine what goes into the kebab. Lieferando gives you the direct option to deselect if you don't want certain toppings and it is ignored every time. Often the cheese is missing, which costs an extra €1 per kebab (!!), but what I find worse is that I unsubscribe from certain toppings and, strangely enough, I ALWAYS have some of the deselected toppings on my kebab. Luckily I'm not an allergy sufferer, because that would be outrageous and irresponsible. I like to turn a blind eye when something is wrong, but here the emphasis is on the 'time'. Today, however, they finally killed me: My kebab had everything on it that I ordered (not like usual), it was missing a topping that I also ordered and my father-in-law's cheese was missing (once again). , which we at least paid for. Addendum: According to my review, management was very accommodating, polite and explained to me why orders often arrived incorrectly. I would be happy to order there again more often! However, it is better to do so by telephone rather than via Lieferando.

My girlfriend and I regularly drive 20 minutes to the best kebab far and wide! Many times we didn't get exactly the order we placed, but it was always delicious and the veal is our favorite. We would be happy to receive a stamp card for loyal customers! Happy kebab eating everyone. P&S

Oh, where do I start? Very loud here. NO ZAZIKI sauce, they sell a ready-made garlic herb sauce for Zaziki, which tastes miles away from a Zaziki sauce (and it's really easy to prepare yourself). The feedback to staff that there was no trace of Nobi in a sauce DIDN'T INTEREST THEM ANYWHERE! The service staff is only nice as long as you don't ask or complain about anything. The salet is watery without any flavor, without sauce and without spices. They actually don't give you a reason to come back. By the way, ALL SAUCES ARE READY SAUCES! It's a shame, with a little more effort and will, this could be 5 stars! COULD!
