Dionysos Griechisches Restaurant in Wertheim

Good evening, this review has been a decade in coming but here it comes. My first encounter with this woman (blond, waitress, slightly older) was about 10 years ago when my nephew was just 10 - 11 years old and had never tried Greek food. I (28 years old at the time) thought I would invite him over and so we went into this juice shop. She looked very scrutinizing and judgmental, which I noticed but was pretty indifferent to. Everyone can look however they want. Before we got the menu she asked seriously how the boy felt about me 😳 which was very unpleasant, I would even say outrageous. But they stayed anyway. Afterwards we browsed through the menu and the nephew asked me "what's the gyros?" I answered something like kebab meat, at least in terms of appearance. Then she came from behind again, without being asked and relatively unfriendly, she intervened in our conversation and said that I was completely wrong and that I shouldn't compare gyros with kebab meat. After this fiasco, I haven't gone for the last 10 years. Last month, November 2024, I went in with my wife and children even though I didn't really want to, but the family wanted to try it and I was persuaded to go without incident this time, although unfortunately there was a misplacement of a waitress or whatever she was there power was still there. Today, December 13th, 2024, we ordered 3 meals from the company for pickup at 6 p.m. and then when I was there I noticed that the prices didn't match the downloaded menu (2022), it was significantly more expensive and it would be fine If this head waitress didn't answer my question about whether the prices online hadn't been updated yet with a grumpy counter question: "Why shouldn't they be up to date?" I, in turn, asked her in a calm voice why she was bothering I'm so upset, it's a legitimate question because many restaurateurs don't... and then she snapped at me again without letting me finish, "this question isn't justified." Good woman, apart from the poor quality and the measly portions of what we unpacked in the company, they have been disgusting to their customers for decades and I ask myself how can these amateur restaurateurs even survive, many have gone bankrupt last 3 years where I would never have thought it but they are still there... This restaurant was really good when it was called Grünauer Hof. I'll never come back and I'll advise everyone I know against it.

People with disabilities are treated rudely.

Unfortunately the Jägerschnitzel with fries was over salted. Fries absolutely do not taste dry and over-salted. (Discounter taste). Chicken soup made from "Maggi" substitute, with micro pieces of meat and a spoonful of rice. Salad has no chance of saving the food. Second stars for a glass of medium dry wine. Bill 31 euros excessive.

We like to eat here. It always tastes great.

Guys, please be careful what you write! The restaurant is in Wertheim and not in Würzburg! So I'm wondering, where did you eat? I rate the restaurant good but no more. Good middle-class, nothing more.

Nice location, delicious food, nice service

Würzburg was romantic and offered the perfect setting for dinner under the starry evening sky on a warm night. The garlic potatoes are the perfect addition to a meal that seems to have been prepared with care and love. We ate here twice.

Unfortunately, you felt like an annoying intruder. We also had a dog with us, which was obviously annoying. The lady who intercepted us at the entrance was listless and annoyed. When eating (with two types of meat) one was delivered later. We actually wanted to hold a celebration here with several guests. We'd better let that go. There would also be three dogs there and before we get looked at strangely or even rejected, it's better not to. I would recommend another job to the lady if the current one is too much for her.

We were super satisfied! I ordered the Artemis plate and was able to swap the gyros for a minced steak without any problems. The food was perfect. Very friendly service. I'd love to come back

Short and sweet: We sat outside, which was nice. Service was friendly and relatively quick. A salad first - there was no. Bread - there was no. Portions rather small for a Greek. Food didn't taste good. Unfortunately neither does the dry red wine. We are used to better things from our Greeks in Hamburg. We don't understand those who rave about the food here. But at least there was an ouzo at the end.

Unfortunately, dogs are not welcome in the beer garden! I actually haven't experienced anything like that for a long time. The beer garden was relatively empty - but we were clearly told that they didn't want dogs here. Well then not. We were a few meters away at Zorbas - where we were warmly welcomed, even with our dogs, even though it was very crowded.

Super tasty and great restaurant. Unfortunately the portions are a bit smaller. For the price, it would be nice if there was at least a salad with the dishes. But in terms of taste, it's right up there. ☝️

Recommended. Food good. I would have liked more content in the sauce for the Jägerschnitzel. But it tasted good. Next time I'll try some Greek food ;-)

Great restaurant. The food is really good, my partner ordered schnitzel, which I think is always difficult with Greeks but even the schnitzel here is really great. The lamb chops are delicious, soft and very tasteful. The service was very accommodating and nice. The ambience is not too much but very nice and the music is not loud. All in all, we were very happy with our visit and will come back here on our next visit to Wertheim! Thank you for the good food.

The restaurant is beautifully located close to the Main, and on warm, sunny days you can sit comfortably in the garden. The service was very friendly. Unfortunately we weren't that impressed with the food; the gyros were slightly dry and the calamari was unfortunately very tough. The meat could be seasoned a little more. The fried garlic fried potatoes were delicious.

We had a delicious meal there on Sunday lunchtime. Everything was just right.

Ordered steak medium, got shoe soles. Wine list written very confusingly. I'd better not say anything about waiters. Conclusion, never again.

At Dionysos you can sit comfortably in a Greek tabernacle atmosphere. It is advisable to reserve in the evenings and on weekends, especially if there are more than 2 people. The menu is extensive, everyone will find something here. You have a good chance here, especially if you have intolerances such as gluten intolerance or want to eat something vegan. The salad is dressed with vinegar and oil and many meat dishes are suitable for a gluten-free meal. I would particularly like to highlight the lamb skewers and the fish platter. And for all beer lovers: here you can get Erdinger wheat beer (also non-alcoholic). All in all, absolutely recommended and we would love to come back.

Unfortunately, the customer is not king here. Despite a reservation for 8 people, we were offered a table for 6 people with the words, “You have to deal with that”. When we wanted to go somewhere else, the answer was blunt: “then just go somewhere else”.

We made a reservation for 6 people the day before. Today we called around 2 p.m. to increase the reservation to 8 people. According to the waitress, this wasn't a problem. When we arrived at the restaurant they didn't want to know anything about the change. We were offered a table for 6 people with the words: You'll just have to deal with that now. Due to the limited friendliness and ability to improvise, we decided to leave our hard-earned money in a restaurant where customer friendliness is still very important. Absolutely unacceptable behavior as a waitress. Reason enough to try another Greek restaurant in the area next time.

Wir haben am Vortag eine Reservierung für 6 Personen abgegeben. Heute haben wir gegen 14 Uhr angerufen um die Reservierung auf 8 Personen zu erhöhen. Dies war laut Bedienung kein Problem. Im Restaurant angekommen wollte man von der Änderung nichts wissen, der Tisch für 6 Personen wurde uns mit den Worten: Damit müsst ihr jetzt zu 8. halt klarkommen, Angeboten. Aufgrund der eingeschränkten Freundlichkeit und improvisationsfähgikeit beschlossen wir uns unser hart verdientes Geld in einem Restaurant zu lassen, wo Kundenfreundlichkeit noch groß geschrieben wird. Absolut inakzeptables Verhalten als Bedienung. Grund genug das nächste mal einen anderen Griechen in der Gegend auszuprobieren.

Very, very tasty and fresh food, at super fair prices for 2 people with a starter, drink and main course for €45. Unfortunately we were ignored for a very long time, waited 15 minutes for drinks after ordering and another 20 for the bill. But the delicious food made up for it. Always my pleasure.

Das Essen schmeckt recht gut, nur der Service lässt zu wünschen übrig. Ansonsten war ich sehr zufrieden.

Dienstagsabends mit 4 Personen fast keinen Tisch bekommen, so gut gefüllt war das gemütlich eingerichtete Restaurant. Essen war sehr lecker (Gyros überbacken mit Pommes, Fleischspieß), auch die Pommes mal etwas anders von der Sorte und lecker. Eine Pommes kam leider mit 5min Verspätung, Mayonnaise (für alle) wurde vergessen. Der Service hätte bei uns deutlich mehr Getränke verkaufen können, war aber leider nicht sooo flott. Auf's Bezahlen haben wir (im inzwischen leeren Laden) 10min. gewartet.

Wir gehen regelmäßig und sehr gerne im Dionysos essen. Wir lieben das Ambiente und sitzen sowohl gerne drinnen wie draußen. Die Speisekarte bietet für jeden Geschmack etwas und die Zubereitung hat uns noch nie enttäuscht. Weiter so und großes Lob von uns.

Nettes Personal,hübscher Biergarten in der Nähe des Flusses.Das griechische Essen war sehr lecker und auch kein Einheitsbrei.Auch als Vegetarier fand ich was Leckeres (gefülltes Gemüse)

Wir waren zum Mittagessen in dieser schönen Taverne am Main. Man sitzt schön draußen und auch innen schmeckt es vorzüglich. Ich hatte dreierlei Fisch mit Reis, dazu Bauernsalat und bin gut satt geworden. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist top und die Bedienung war freundlich und flott. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir waren gestern Abend dort und haben uns ein schönes, leckeres Abendessen gegönnt. Das Essen war super (qualitativ sowie auch die Portionsgröße). Service war so lala... Es hat 1,5h gedauert bis wir unser Essen auf dem Tisch hatten... Der Nachbartisch ist mit mehr Personen, 15 Minuten nach uns angekommen und war mit dem Essen schon fertig bevor wir unsere Grillplatte erhalten haben. Die Bedienung war patzig und anstatt einer kleinen Entschuldigung kam nur die Aussage dass es so ist, wie es ist..... Es gab weder einen Ouzo auf Haus noch etwas anderes. Fazit: Essen super, Preis für 1 x Vorspeise, 1 x Grillplatte für 2 und 3 Gläschen Wein = 63 EUR, Service nicht gut

Sehr nette Bedienung. Gutes griechisches Restaurant. Vernünftige Preise die mittlerweile selten geworden sind. Griechischer Teller mit Gyros, Fleischküchle und Lammsteak 15,50 Euro.

Der Service war auf Zack, die Portion war nicht zu klein oder zu groß, es ging angemessen schnell und hat vorzüglich geschmeckt. Hätte man nicht besser machen können.

Lekker grieks eten. Het had niet helemaal de griekse uitstraling die ik soms gewend ben van een grieks restaurant, maar het was wel netjes en schoon. Gerechten waren goed. Ruime porties en prima prijs kwaliteit verhouding.

We found this place by chance after a long afternoon touring Wertheim and it’s castle in the cold wind. Although it was Valentins Day, we were welcomed without having a reservation. I had the seafood plate (70) and my wife had the lamb chops. Both dishes were prepared and seasoned well. I had the St. Martins wiesen dunkle. My partner had wine. Both were delicious. We highly recommend this clean and comfortable place.

Wir waren mit Freunden in diesem Restaurant,nachdem wir einige Male vorher dort waren und von der Möglichkeit draussen unter Kastanien und dem für uns recht ordentlichen sehr angetan waren. Bei diesem Besuch klappte allerdings sehr wenig. Einige Speisen auf der Karte waren „ noch nicht fertig“,die bestellten Gerichte wurden zum Teil unvollständig serviert,die fehlenden Sachen mit deutlicher Verspätung serviert. Zwei Gerichte wurden abweichend zur Bestellung serviert. Alles wurde „ nachgebessert“ ,aber ein vollständiges Gericht hatte keiner von uns vor sich und von einer zeitnahen Vervollständigung,kann keine Rede sein. Die Gerichte waren ungewohnt lieblos angerichtet. Enttäuschend. Das gesamte Personal machte einen mit der gesamten Situation , das Restaurant war gut besucht, überforderten Eindruck. An anderen Tischen beobachteten wir,daß auch dort Bestellungen falsch oder unvollständig serviert wurden. Was nützt mir das schönste Gericht,wenn die Beilagen zu spät kommen. Auf die mehrfach angeforderte Rechnung haben wir fast eine halbe Stunde warten müssen. Krönung war dann aber die Ehefrau des Wirtes,die beim Kassieren ausfallend wurde und uns vorwarf,daß zu viel zu tun hätte und nicht wisse,wie sie ihre Arbeit bewältigen könne. Sehr deutlich wurde uns zu verstehen gegeben, daß wir als Gäste hier nicht willkommen sind. Dabei vergriff sich die genannte Person deutlich in Ton und Wortwahl und redete sich im Verlauf ihrer ausfallenden Anwürfe immer weiter in Rage. Fazit: ich gehe nicht in ein Restaurant,um mich von einer überforderten und übellaunigen Tabletträgerin - von einer Bedienung mag ich nicht reden,es wäre eine Beleidigung für die zahllosen freundlichen Bedienungen - so mies und unfreundlich behandeln zu lassen,wie es diese Person mit uns gemacht hat. Wir werden zumindest für die nächsten Monate einen großen Bogen um das „Dionysos“ machen . Vielleicht bessert sich die Laune der oben genannten. Viel Hoffnung hab ich da aber nicht,das Auftreten scheint ein Teil der Geschäftsphilosophie zu sein: negative Erlebnisgastronomie.
