Ich war am Donnerstag dort. Es war wieder sehr, sehr lecker. Bei herrlichem Wetter saßen wir auf der gemütlichen, neugestalteten Terrasse. Die Bedienung war wie immer sehr gut und freundlich. Zur Begrüßung gab es einen leckeren Ouzo. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Hier werden schlechtere Bewertungen entfernt - hier wird also nicht die Realität wiedergeben. Das Essen hat nach dem Inhaberwechsel leider an Qualität nachgelassen. Weniger gewürzt ( z.B. im Tsatsiki fehlt Knoblauch und Metaxa Soße schmeckt eher nach Paprika und ist ziemlich dünn). Portionen sind kleiner geworden aber dafür teurer. Alles im allen kommt es nicht an den Vorbesitzern dran ... schade und nach vielen Jahren als Stammkunden überlegt man sich dort noch hinzu gehen!! Kerzen auf den Tischen worden durch unromantische LED Lampen ersetzt :-(. Personal freundlich. (Überfreundlich).

Mittlerweile sind wir fast Stammgäste und begeistert von der Küche und dem angenehmen Service. Die Inhaber mit Auge zum Detail, immer freundlich und für ein nettes Schwätzchen zu haben. Wir kommen gerne auch mit der ganzen Familie ☺️ klare Empfehlung!!!

Das beste griechische Restaurant. Das Essen ist sehr gut und das Ambiente stimmt.

Ich habe noch nie, wirklich noch nie (und ich bin 60 Jahre alt) ein besseres Gyros gegessen. Aber auch alles andere mega lecker. Supernetter Service. Aufmerksam, aber auch mit Augenzwinkern. Wirklich sehr zu empfehlen.

Hmm I don't understand the good reviews, or maybe everything went wrong during our visit. First of all, our food order was forgotten. When we asked, we were told the gyro would take longer. Even though the next table (who also ordered much later) also had their order. Regarding the taste, the gyro was OK, but the skewered meat was dry...my partner had the same experience. Last but not least, you should also pay attention to the charge for drinks.

Closed on Monday. Very Nice Saganaki appetiser. Main course Lamb grill was less. The two lamb chops where juicy and nice and tasty, but the other two pieces, a kebab stick type and a filet, where dry. Taste wise I would be surprised if they where regular beef, instead of lamb. I should have taken the lamb chop plate instead. Not sure if I'd go back here...

My last visit to the Dionysos restaurant was several years ago. Since then, there's been a change of management, and we paid a visit to the new, old restaurant. The menu is extensive and there's something for everyone. The free ouzo as an aperitif was delicious, and my meal already looked delicious. The only minor disappointment was the temperature of the food. When the food arrived, it was only lukewarm—and that applied to both my wife's and mine. It's a shame, it could have been better.

We planned our communion there. During the planning, the lady kept running away, didn't really listen to us, wasn't even half-involved because she was completely overwhelmed. When the day came, we got the wrong things instead of the things we ordered. We wanted to let them go back, but the owner said we could keep the things and he would bring us the right ones as a gesture of goodwill. When it came time to pay, the lady said we should pay for everything, even though the owner told us we didn't need to pay for anything that had been brought incorrectly. Then the waiter intervened who became very unfriendly and told us he didn't need our money and then ran to other customers and cried to them about our alleged bad behavior. He demonstrated the wrongdoing by demonstrating his absolute incompetence when it comes to customers. He didn't know the entire situation that was previously with the owner, so he told us we could still keep the things that were brought in the wrong way as a gesture of goodwill. None of this would have happened to us with the old owners. Incompetent, unfriendly, incompetent and completely overwhelmed. Our guests were shocked by the behavior because they had often visited the old owners with us and didn't know anything about the store.

We had dinner there last night with 7 people. Unfortunately it was a complete disaster! It started when the waiter brought us 3/7 drinks. Unfortunately he dropped it and the tray out of his hand, all onto my aunt. It can happen, but then reacting with the words "sorry, I didn't have a break today" was quite violent. New drinks order was taken and it finally came after over 20 minutes. In general we had to wait a very, very long time for the drinks. Then after a long time we were finally able to order food... it came 50 minutes later. We ordered the Dionysus platter for 6 people. Wanted half fries and half sliced ​​potatoes. When the food finally arrived, the lady said "We didn't make you fries, the sliced ​​potatoes are better" and we almost lost our faith!!! The meat from the platters was unfortunately cold, the vegetables that were ordered separately were hard to eat, so much pepper was on them!! When the owner/waiter asked if everything was OK and we said no, he was briefly shocked, but then he forgot about it again. There was an ouzo on the house... but that in no way made up for the whole evening... Conclusion 347 euros for the cat...

Current (4 stars): The boss is really very friendly and hard-working, the food tastes good. Will go again. Has improved. Current (2 stars): It used to be a good restaurant, but has unfortunately gotten steadily worse since it took over under a new owner. Price/performance no longer matches. I can now go to the chip shop and eat gyros with fries, which only costs half the price and I personally liked it better, and I don't have to wait forever for service. I'll try it again and hope it gets better again. But not like that anymore. Before (5 stars): Good food, nice service, normal prices and cozy. But the staff can be very distracted and then you are left high and dry. The lighting is a bit too dim with "cheap" LEDs. But it's good in everything and that's why I go there more often. The salad dressing (cocktail sauce) is the trademark. If you tell someone that you're going to a Greek restaurant in Kaarst... The one with the red sauce on the salad, you know which bar/restaurant you're talking about.

Rarely have I enjoyed such good Greek food and the owners are also great.

20 Jahre waren wir Stammgäste, auch beim neuen Betreiber- aber jetzt kommen wir nicht wieder. Wir hatten Bifteki, dass innen noch roh war, und auch deutlich als roh zu erkennen war! 2 Kellner haben es bestätigt, aber es wurde vom Chef nicht als Reklamation angesehen. Bei Sommerhitze halb rohes Hackfleisch zu servieren ist echt grenzwertig.

It was beautifully decorated on the walls, Greek statues etc! typical music playing quietly in the background! the service was very, very attentive and nice! even the chef of the house stopped by and asked if it was right! my son Kevin got an ice cream on the house and we got ouzo! even when I asked, It wasn't a problem if we got the leftovers packed up! On the contrary, I was given tips on how to heat up the food! What surprised me was that when we read out the numbers to order, our waitress knew all the dishes exactly! There was even a lamp additionally placed on the table! the dishes came quickly one after the other and were very, very delicious! nothing dry etc., tender pork fillet and delicious potato gratin, with bernaise sauce! we were completely and well filled! again at any time, really great local, highly recommended !

After a few years I was back at Dionysos and I have to say that I really enjoyed it. The menu feels like it's 30 years old, but what was on the table was consistently very tasty. If I'm near there, I would visit the restaurant again at any time. The waitresses were extremely courteous.

Delicious food, fast service and a great beer garden

Today we drove by for dinner after the Rhine fair because our Greek tribe is on vacation in Mönchengladbach Giesenkirchen. I took a seat and the menu was handed to us. It took 10 minutes to order drinks and they came quite quickly. The starter came shortly afterwards and tasted quite good, but afterwards it was sheer horror. Main course was taken after repeated confirmation, instead of fries it was no problem to get sliced ​​potatoes, food came to the table 90 minutes after ordering, first meal very thin meat gratinated with 4cm thick layer of cheese underneath very thick sauce with a handful of sliced ​​potatoes pretty yuck. 2 tes meal instead of fries s-potatoes as confirmed, the meal comes with fries. Keller says the food is our responsibility, that shouldn't happen... after the meal you want to pay and no one comes after waiting 30 minutes. We went to the front and were billed and we had to pay for the food that was brought in the wrong way ourselves and didn't get a credit. So another restaurant that we won't go to again or recommend to others. Nobody can match our regular Greeks because the price-performance ratio is just right

No service too slow and way too expensive

Besuch am 12.6.24: Ich habe ein „Bifteki, Hackfleisch gefüllt mit Schafskäse, dazu Pommes & Salat“ bestellt. Der Käse zog Fäden, so dass vermutlich eine andere/weitere Käsesorte eingesetzt wurde. Der Kellner teilte uns mit, dass Gouda mitverwendet wurde, damit der Schafskäse eine bessere Stabilität erhalte. Ein anderer Kellner sagte, dass der Einkauf teurer geworden wäre. Ich brachte zu Ausdruck, dass die Mitverwendung von Gouda in der Speisekarte nicht angegeben sei, und dass sie mich betrogen fühle.

Der, mittlerweile auch nicht mehr so neue Wirt hat dem Laden wirklich gut getan! Ja, die Portionen sind nicht mehr so überdimensioniert, dass man sich entweder überfressen oder ein Drittel liegen lassen musste, und der Preis hat auch (wie überall im letzten Jahr) angezogen, aber dafür ist die Qualität des Essens deutlich besser geworden. Alles irgendwie frischer und auch nicht mehr so fett, wie unter den Vorgängern. Der Service ist freundlich und zügig.

The restaurant is very comfortably furnished, seating areas with small partitions, you feel very comfortable. The innkeeper and his family are very nice and accommodating, and they sometimes exchange a few words outside of the order. The food is very tasty, especially the lamb and gyros, but we also really enjoyed the cold starter plate. If the dining room is full and the bowling alley is also busy, it can take a little longer, but all the employees are trying very hard! Absolutely a good decision from my side to eat there.

This was our second time here for dinner. We find the atmosphere cozy and the service friendly. There was an Uzo on the house in advance. The food is average at best. We had liver and a mixed grill plate. The taste of the meat was okay, but unfortunately it was very dry and firm. The liver wasn't tender either, quite firm. The potato gratin could have used a little more seasoning. The salad was good. Since we didn't eat any starter or dessert, it went relatively quickly. But we also noticed that the table next door had to ask for the menu and also ordered drinks by calling. One could expect a little more attention here. If you don't have high expectations, you can eat well here. For 3 people with three drinks just the main meal we paid just under €70, so quite affordable. It remains to be seen whether we will give the restaurant another chance.

Besstes Gyros das ich je gegessen habe.

Wir waren zum Abendessen hier und man kann die Betreiber nur loben. Sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Mitarbeiter. Die Vorspeisen kamen wie auch die Getränke sehr zügig an den Tisch und das Timing von Vorspeise auf Hauptgang war ebenfalls ideal. Sehr schön war auch das alle Speisen gleichzeitig ohne große Verzögerungen an den Tisch kamen. Gerne wieder!
