A small and cozy restaurant with very friendly and attentive staff. It was our first time there, but we would definitely come back, especially for the delicious food and excellent service. A wide selection of draft beers completes the offering.

We were there for the first time on October 10, 2025, and we all wondered: Why? A wonderful evening in a fantastic pub. Great food, great drinks, and absolutely fantastic service. Thank you so much for the Irish living room; it was amazing.

The food was okay. A generous selection of alcoholic drinks. The waitress was very moody and probably needs a different job. Why would you stand at the bar if you can't handle people at all?

I went to the Irish pub with friends yesterday because I knew there was live music again. A lovely evening, the food, service, and music were brilliant as always. My friends, who were there for the first time, are just as happy to come back as I am.

A beautiful restaurant with a cozy outdoor area! We visited in the afternoon based on a recommendation and had a delicious meal. Hence, one star for the ambiance and one for the food! However, unfortunately, customer-oriented service isn't emphasized here, and regulars are likely given preferential treatment. Since it was a sunny day, we sat down in a cozy, shady spot at a large table with four seats for two and were asked to move to a smaller one. Unfortunately, there wasn't a small table in the shade, so we had to sit in the blazing sun. We were then told to order drinks first—it was organizationally impossible to order drinks and food at the same time. Since the food is supposed to be very tasty, we stayed, even though we didn't like the way the waitresses served us. During our stay, we observed a single guest sitting at one of the large tables where we were previously seated, and two guests sitting at another large table next door—interestingly, they weren't moved—which I can't understand and find disrespectful. Here, guests are allowed to go into the restaurant to pay. I approached the elderly lady about the situation and received neither understanding nor an apology. Instead, she told me that it wasn't possible to keep track of everything, and that I should have spoken directly to the waitress, asking what she was supposed to do... Absolutely outrageous! So that's how you respond to criticism?! A little understanding and friendliness would have been sufficient... We deliberately didn't leave a tip, and we won't choose this restaurant again - what a shame!

The food is very tasty, but the lemons on the fish and chips are a bit thin, and you get your hands dirty, and the fish is a bit tasteless. You have to remind the waitress twice about your order because she forgot to take it instead of writing it down. That's just not good service. Otherwise, a very cozy restaurant.

It's now an institution in Mettmann and always worth a visit. The great atmosphere at the market adds to the appeal. Reservations are always recommended, especially since they also accept outside seating.

We were there with friends, and luckily, an Irish folk band was playing wonderful, atmospheric folk music outside. We all enjoyed delicious food and drinks and had a thoroughly entertaining evening. The service was very friendly and tried to please everyone.

We celebrated our Christmas party this year at the Irish Pub Dingle's in Mettmann - and what can I say: it was just all around great! 🎉 The preparation itself went smoothly and was super friendly. The service in the evening was warm, attentive and always with a smile. The food was really tasty – and the beer? Naturally at its finest! 🍻 What was particularly nice was that we not only had great conversations in a cozy atmosphere, but also had a lot of fun at the pub quiz and later at the karaoke. 🎤💃 An all-round successful evening – a big thank you to the entire Dingles team! We'll definitely be back. 💚

Found it completely by chance and was pleasantly surprised! Nice little shop, if all the tables are occupied it's probably very tight. There is so much to look at, the collected metal signs, old advertising posters, old hand tools, etc., that it is quite overloaded. Very tasty food, sometimes different dishes than the usual, great beer selection.

Delicious food. Waitress pleasant and patient when the group didnt know what we wanted to order. Not ridiculously long waits for food, but long enough to know it was freshly cooked. Cannot complain whatsoever. Highly recommend

I've had a drink at Dingles several times. But today we ate there for the first time. Our service was quick and friendly. And our schnitzels with pepper whiskey sauce were really tasty. The price-performance ratio is great.

A beautiful, lovingly decorated pub with delicious food and a great selection of drinks. We were particularly lucky with the young waitress with the glasses. (I hope she feels addressed) She does her job simply perfectly: attentive, friendly and, above all, incredibly humorous. She alone was worth visiting Dingle's.

Nice and rustic location for a drink in an authentic Irish atmosphere. Unfortunately only 3 stars because basics like Irish stew are bland and come in manageable portions for the prices quoted.

Today we were guests at Dingle's Irish Pub with 22 seniors. The friendliness of the staff made you feel welcome. We felt like we were in Ireland. Das ging gar nicht- bei keinem von uns Vieren war das Essen lecker. Der Service war unaufmerksam, das Essen viel zu teuer für das was abgeliefert wurde, geschmacklich eine Katastrophe. Der Dip war definitiv schlecht und den hatten 3 von uns auf dem Teller. Der Lachs zur Folienkartoffel kaum auffindbar, das Baguette von allerschlimmster Aufbackqualität und kalt und megatrocken - vom Vortag? Ehrlich- dann lieber selber kochen. Das ist nicht mal Imbissqualität. Wir waren alle Vier absolut enttäuscht. Man sitzt ja eigentlich gut da, aber leider ein kulinarischer Reinfall.

Really great Irish pub. You can get to the Pup from one side via a narrow, steep staircase between beautiful old houses. There is also the "normal" route from the other side. The staff is super nice and friendly, the recommendations are excellent. At the end we drank a great whiskey liker (Muldoon). So delicious, you have to try it. When I'm back in town I'll definitely come back.

It's usually always great. Unfortunately on the evening of the local festival the service left a lot to be desired. The live music and everything else was very good again.

This fantastic pub cannot go uncommented! Following the good reviews, I set out. Without expectations, but with great anticipation. What can I say...it was a great experience from the first moment. Friendly, super attentive staff...I felt immediately welcome...and in a very cozy atmosphere. The food (fish & chips) exceeded all my expectations...the fish was juicy, the fries were really good...plus the finest tartar sauce and a fantastic pea and mint puree. I've never eaten so well in a pub! And yes...beer is served in places like these...very tasty, well tempered. All in all, a clear recommendation...if I'm in the area again, a must visit!

Wir waren zum ersten Mal hier und wurden vom Gastgeber herzlich empfangen mit einem kleinen Rundgang in dem sehr schönen Pub der mit viel Hingabe und Leidenschaft zum Detail eingerichtet wurde. Wir haben uns sehr wohl und willkommen gefühlt und werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!!!

Kudos to this wonderful dining establishment! That's how hospitality works! We had dinner with you two evenings in the last few days (4 or 3 work colleagues). The food was fabulous and absolutely delicious! The best thing we have ever eaten in an Irish pub. This is absolute star cuisine, yet down-to-earth and good portions, at an absolutely fair price! The burgers are fantastic! The meat was on point, the sauces were delicious, everything was seasoned great and super fresh. The potato minced casserole was excellent and there was no shortage of cheese! The kibblinge (fish) baked in beer batter were terrific and even the fries (I'm not a fan of those) were very tasty and I think homemade! The other dishes were also excellent! So a huge compliment to the chef! Just never let him go again. Likewise to the entire staff, a huge thank you also to the nice waitresses and the boss. Everyone was very warm and very attentive. It says a cheerful saying and a smile. You're doing a great job! The beer cannot go unmentioned at this point. Price/performance completely okay. The beer comes quickly, is at exactly the right temperature and tastes delicious! All in all, we thank you for your great hospitality and the great time you had! We will warmly recommend you. I can only recommend it to everyone, it's such a nice pub. The owner can actually tell a story about each of the beautiful furnishings. The food is super tasty and the service is super friendly.

We would like to say THANK YOU for your hospitality!! We had reserved a table in the little tower and were more than disappointed when we were turned away. The closed society had probably been forgotten. The Dingles was our salvation. Even though the hut was full, we were given a place. The food was great, the service was super nice. An all-round successful evening. We are completely thrilled and look forward to the next time. Thanks to this tower, without whose support we would not have known Dingles that evening. We went to Dingle's on Sunday. From around 5:45 p.m. musicians met for an Irish music session. The decor of the pub and the authentic music gave us a short break on the island. Plus a fast team, delicious food and, above all, Guinness on tap. Pure Ireland!

Ab 18:00 haben 12 Musiker ihr bestes gegeben. Es war ein super Abend. Die tolle Umgebung und die super Musik haben uns für einige Stunden das Gefühl gegeben, auf der Insel zu sein. Echt ein Hammer

A lovely little place but the attitude of the barmaid was so unwelcoming we couldn't believe. No actual Irish working here and you could feel it. We traveled from Wülfrath just to come here but as soon as we walked in we were told that they would close soon (3 hours earlier than posted) because "nothing's going on". Excuse me, but 10 people in a small bar should be enough to stay open until your posted closing time. The puss on the barmaid was enough to scare away the thirsty. Guinness was a terrible pour (picture shows the pint before it was sipped), fish and chips overcooked in oil that should have been changed last week. We would have said something to the cranky barmaid but she never came back to check on us after we got our food. They also have a "black and tan"(!) special on the board by the bar which would put off any person of irish descent even if you could get past the attitude (Google it if you dont understand why "black and tan" is an awful thing to have on your menu). If you're looking for an authentic Irish Pub experience, skip this place for sure.

Before a recent trip to Germany, I found this place on the internet and being a fan of Guinness and Emmerdale I had to try and eat and drink here. We tried to get a table on the Saturday evening but they were fully booked up. (So if you are going to eat here book in advance). As we couldn't dine there on the Saturday evening, we booked for the Sunday evening. The place is amazing, the food and the staff were really good. (Even though I did have a small problem with my German as our nice waitress didn't speak English, but we got what we wanted, and it made me brush up more and my German). If I am ever in Mettmann again, I will book a table here.

Ich habe lange nach einem Irish Pub in Deutschland gesucht, der die irische Atmosphäre eines Pubs wirklich einfängt und nach Deutschland transportiert und dies ist er! Das Ambiente hat eine irische Wohnzimmer Atmosphäre. Man kommt herein und fühlt sich direkt unter Freunden. Die Mitarbeiter sind alle mehr als freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen schmeckt super und die Portionen sind sehr üppig. Das Whiskyangebot ist mehr als ausreichend...Jameson Whiskey🤤. Guinness und Kilkenny vom Fass! Danke für diesen perfekten Irish Pub!!!

Im Sommer kann man sehr schön draußen sitzen, es ist eine kleine gemütliche Kneipe mit Speisen und am letzten Sonntag im Monat spielen sie irische Livemusik

Das Dingle's ist einfach ein Erlebnis. Urig, ganz eigener Charme, leckes Essen. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Ist wohl mein neues Lieblings Restaurant in nächster Zeit. Die Atmosphäre ist einfach super und draußen wie auch im Pub ist es einfach super gemütlich. Samstags kommen manchmal auch ein paar Musiker vorbei und spielen Irische Volksmusik. Die Bedienung wirkt manchmal noch etwas unerfahren ist aber super nett und zuvorkommend. Das Essen ist auch richtig super, den Camembert Burger kann ich wärmstens empfehlen. Die Soße die bei den Pommes dabei ist, ist auch mal was anderes und schmeckt richtig gut. Die Auswahl an Getränken und Bieren ist auch super. Die Preise sind ebenfalls absolut angemessen. Ich komme wieder!

Gemütlich im Herzen von Mettmann. Essen war sehr gut und die Auswahl für das Lokal sehr gut. Personal war gerade neu und sehr darauf bedacht, dass es an nichts fehlt. Danke für den schönen Abend.
