Ding Dong Restaurant in Mülheim-Kärlich

The food was unfortunately rather bland. Prices are okay. We ate in, but unfortunately it was a bit cold in the restaurant.

A solid Asian fast-food place with all the usual classics. It's naturally very busy at lunchtime, but you can still find a seat. Cheaper boxes are also served on plates for eating in. I find that unusual and worth mentioning. The food is served at the table, is relatively inexpensive, and tastes very good. When we're in the area, this is a regular spot for us. The only downside: they only accept cash.

There used to be a Ding Dong in both Koblenz and Mülheim-Kärlich, but now only the Mülheim-Kärlich location remains, and it didn't come close to the quality of the Koblenz one. The price-performance ratio was okay, but the atmosphere took some getting used to.

Unfortunately, it's cash only. Otherwise, it's great.

Outrageous! I ordered Box 1 ("Rice with Vegetables") In the end, there was a little bit of carrot, leek, and mung beans in it. The whole thing was completely tasteless!!! When I asked if I could add some vegetables (broccoli or bell peppers), they wanted to charge me €5 more... Why would I even order rice WITH vegetables if I then have to pay extra for vegetables?

I had red Thai curry, very salty and absolutely watery! It wasn't a proper sauce, more like colored water. And overall, the taste was really unconvincing. Truly disappointing 😕!!!

On October 23, 2025, I gave this luxury Chinese takeaway one last chance and was once again very disappointed. The food is full of flavor enhancers, which leaves you with a stomach ache all day afterward. The prices keep rising disrespectfully. I also hope the health department visits you sometime.

The food was very tasty, but the service and friendliness left a lot to be desired. Very rude answers to questions. The cleanliness of the tables and the salt shakers was questionable. As I said, the food is very good.

Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy it at all. We both felt like we were eating something fishy, ​​even though we had ordered the daily special with chicken. My colleague and I felt a little nauseous after the meal. The ordering process was quick and easy, and the next... Friendliness costs nothing! 😉 So, the restaurant will never see us again.

That was nothing. I had chicken breast with peanut sauce. The meat was probably the cheapest you could find because it was watered down. When you pressed it with a fork, water ran out. The sauce tasted extremely salty. The elderly lady taking our order was completely unacceptable. No friendly hello or follow-up questions. It was more like "oh, is anyone else here?" A couple in front of me ordered two meals, but they only understood one and then brought it to the table. A never-ending argument. Instead of just making another one and being charged, the cake guy was friendlier during my time in the army...when he was in a bad mood. And what's absolutely acceptable is the issue of the cash register, which has been brought up several times. I was there for about 45 minutes, and it was quite busy. From what I saw, almost no orders were billed. One or two...no problem, but that's a lot. I also have to pay my taxes properly.

Once good... now it's just greasy and inedible. The duck's fat was mushy, and the duck itself was tough as leather. My wife's chicken wasn't any better. I didn't finish it.

Tax fraud is a top priority here, and service is a low priority... No card payments accepted, only cash, and they don't even ask if you want a receipt. The cash register is open the whole time, so half of the orders probably don't show up for tax purposes. Then, to pack your own food at the end, you're charged an additional 0.50 for a Styrofoam container that doesn't cost a cent to buy. Brazen...

Hairy noodles get disgusting would not recommend to anyone

We are there occasionally and actually find the food to be very tasty. Unfortunately, I'm pretty upset about the visit today. The employee was quite unfriendly. I have never been served so unfriendly. I also particularly noticed the unhygienic work today. For example, people touch meat with their hands even though they previously touched cash or their private smartphone. Unfortunately the hands were not washed. In addition, the employees wear their private clothes, without an apron. From a gastronomic and hygienic point of view, I find this quite problematic. We will probably eat with friendlier hosts in the future.

Here in this professional Thai restaurant, all the dishes are prepared in front of your eyes in a very tasty manner within a very short time. The portions are very generous and taste simply amazing Absolutely top value for money. You can come here with a very good TV with a clear conscience because you know that you're getting all the freshness. I always really enjoy coming here. It's a shame that you can't give 10 stars.

The portions are just right, not too big and not too small. The restaurant is refreshingly different from Chinese restaurants in general, albeit spartan. I went to this store for the first time today but never again after eating straight away

Unfortunately it was our first and last time eating there. My husband had fried pasta with chicken, which seemed to be undercooked and floating in oil because he felt really bad afterwards. From stomach cramps to diarrhea. I had fried noodles with tofu (this costs 4€ extra), the portion was decent, but everything was drowning in soy sauce. The employees seemed completely emotionless and not at all friendly. Prices are rising everywhere these days, but charging €2.50 for a small bottle of Sprite is a subtle exaggeration. The ambience seems careless and is reminiscent of a motorway or train station canteen. We were also disappointed that there were no chopsticks. Luckily there are much better restaurants in Mülheim Kärlich.

Were there for the first time. The food was very good and the price was almost cheap for today's times. Large box 5 for 8 euros. I almost burst. My wife has teriyaki with beef. Also very good portion. Interior more like a canteen but that doesn't bother us as long as the rest fits. Gladly again.

We wanted to check out another restaurant. We wanted to eat in the restaurant. So firstly you have to go to the front to order. She was very unfriendly then. After we ordered, we wanted to sit down. Almost as soon as we reached the table, we were shouted very loudly that we had to pay straight away. Well, then came the rude awakening: 2x noodles with peanut sauce and cola. 34€. All right. We sat down and waited for food. The food came relatively quickly. It was placed silently on the table. We said thank you. Then she simply walked away. The portion was ok, but relatively small compared to the price. The peanut sauce came in a very small container. In terms of taste, the food was a 2.5/5 We waited in vain for the cola. Addendum: As we walked out we saw a fridge with drinks in it. When we asked why we weren't told this and whether we could get the money for the drinks refunded, we were very, very rudely told that this wasn't possible. I'll spare you the exact wording here. Conclusion: I don't currently know of a restaurant that is this bad. Normally I don't say "bad restaurant", but at this point there is no other option. Find something else!
