A great restaurant with very good service and excellent cuisine.

The menu is extensive. You'll always find something delicious to eat. A delicious ouzo is served as a welcome and farewell, making you feel very welcome at all times.

One of my absolute favorite restaurants in Wermelskirchen! Even as a child, I often went to Restaurant Dimitra with my parents, and almost 30 years later, I still love going there. It feels a bit like coming home every time. As soon as you enter, you're warmly greeted by the staff or family – often with a glass of ouzo and a few friendly words. If there's time, there's even room for a little chat, which makes the intimate atmosphere even more special. The food is always delicious, freshly prepared, and the portions are perfectly balanced. The selection is large, so there's something for every taste. The value for money is absolutely perfect here! I also particularly like the atmosphere: A few years ago, the restaurant was completely renovated and since then, it has a stylish and cozy ambiance that perfectly complements the culinary experience. All in all: If you're looking for authentic, delicious Greek cuisine in a welcoming environment, Dimitra is the place for you!

I ordered for a private party for five people. Not only was the advice on the individual dishes (a mix of appetizers, salads, and meat dishes) top-notch, but the food itself was also excellent. Everyone was thrilled with the quality of the food.

We've been looking for a good Greek restaurant for a while now, since our regular restaurant has closed. We're very spoiled when it comes to food thanks to our Greek food, but Dimitra comes pretty close. However, two of our favorite starters weren't available on our visit, so I can't give it a 5-star rating yet. We'll see next time. The waiters were all very friendly and accommodating. The ambiance is modern, welcoming, and clean. I felt comfortable and would gladly come back.

This is a lovely traditional Greek restaurant. You're greeted with a glass of ouzo on the house, and you can also leave if you wish. The service was attentive and friendly. I had turkey schnitzel with Metaxa sauce, which was generally delicious, but I would have liked a bit more spice. But that's a matter of taste. The prices are reasonable and not overpriced. We felt comfortable and welcome and would gladly come back!

Sind an einem Sonntag ohne Reservierung dort gelandet. Obwohl es sehr voll war, bekamen wir sehr freundlich einen Tisch. Ouzo gabs zur Begrüßung mit den Speisenkarten. Was soll man sagen? Sehr leckeres Essen, freundliche Bedienung, alles war prima. Ein gutes griechisches Restaurant, das wir gerne mal wieder besuchen werden. ;)

Absolute recommendation!!! Really everything tasted good. Come here from Düsseldorf because it is simply incredibly delicious. But it's best to make a reservation otherwise you'll have to wait a long time or if things go badly you'll go home with an empty stomach. Very good service!!!

Everything is fine with you. Just serve 6 tiny so-called shrimps with garlic as a starter for a mere €12. Way too expensive... Add more shrimp and garlic to the pan.

As always, it was very tasty. After the G2 check we went straight to the table. As always, drinks and food arrived quickly. 3 drinks + 3 main courses including starter (bread and herb butter), salad and 2 ouzo for under 60 euros. I don't think you can complain. We were satisfied and had a nice evening. Been here again after a long time. Everything great.

A Greek restaurant with a large menu and very large portions.

We can only recommend the food at Dimitra. My favorite is souvlaki with fries, Djuvec rice and salad. But the other dishes and the vegetarian dishes are also recommended. The service is always courteous and friendly. When the restaurant is full, the volume becomes a bit difficult. But everyone feels that differently.

Prices are now very hearty...the crowning glory...Zazicki...portion 6€

The best Greek restaurant in North Rhine-Westphalia. The gyro is homemade and the galaktobouriko was sensational. The atmosphere and the staff are so nice, friendly, and attentive. I would give more stars if it were possible. Simply WOW and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I have to honestly say the food was simply delicious. You can taste the homemade food and the love it was definitely made with. The staff was also friendly and helpful. I can only recommend it to anyone in the area.

Unfortunately, our last visit was a disaster. The kitchen did more wrong than right, and although it emptied later in the evening, the staff were very scarce. When they were there, they were very friendly.

Went there spontaneously a few days ago, comfortably and cleanly furnished, ordered bifteki with metaxa sauce, salad & rice - ate it - briefly reordered fries without any problems, because I forgot to reorder the rice beforehand. The bifteki filled with sheep's cheese and metaxa sauce was delicious, salad/rice/fries standard.

Good morning, After our trip to the Rhine, we spontaneously went here for dinner. The restaurant was already busy shortly after it opened. Luckily we got a seat and the order was taken quite quickly. The staff is attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, we discovered that the order order was not followed. So many guests who came after us got their food before us. I had gyros. Unfortunately the plates were cold, which I think is a no go at a restaurant. The rice tasted very bland. The gyros were okay, not too dry but the taste wasn't perfect either. In principle the restaurant was okay, but not a real highlight. There is better Greek cuisine in the area. There are more than enough parking spaces behind the house. At times the air was quite stuffy and it was very warm, which I don't always think is a good thing. That's why I'm leaning towards these three stars in the rating.

Were there on a Monday, well attended, food perfect and plentiful, service on the ball and friendly. The only problem was that tzatziki had to be ordered separately with the dish. Still 👍thumbs up

Wir kommen aus Remscheid und waren jetzt mal wieder im Restaurant Dimitra. Wir wurden freundlich in Empfang genommen und zum Tisch begleitet. Nettes und freundliches Personal. Essen kam schnell und heiss an den Tisch. Wir haben griechische Gerichte bestellt und hier war das Fleisch saftig und frisch. Wenn man also griechisch Essen gehen möchte, dann haben wir unser Restaurant gefunden. Besser als bei Dimitra geht nicht.

It took a little while to get the attention of the waiters/waitresses but once they had seen us at the far end of the terrace then things started to happen. Firstly we were given two glasses of chilled ouzo on the house. We had to wait for a third glass for our adult son but OK. We then ordered our drinks and food at the same time. The menu is quite extensive and we had no problems in choosing from the excellent choice available. I went for a large glass of Weizen beer and shared a plate of delicious fried zucchini and tzatziki. For my main course I had the "Land & Meer" combination of gyros, calamares, tzatziki, French fries and a small salad. The others had the turkey in a wonderful Metaxa sauce and the filled "Bifteki". To conclude I shared a generous portion of Galaktoboureko with my wife and we concluded our evening dinner with three more glasses of chilled ouzo. We have lived and worked in Greece in the past and we like to think that we know a little about Greek food and hospitality. Here we enjoyed an authentic Greek evening dinner with great food, drink and friendly service. Σας ευχαριστούμε πολύ που κάνατε αυτό το γεύμα μια τόσο υπέροχη, αυθεντική γευστική εμπειρία. It was super full, no chance without a reservation. We ordered a comfortable seat for 4 people and were once again surprised at how attentive the staff were. Food was very, very tasty. Liver grilled to perfection, side salad I found the taste boring, but that's a matter of taste, everything else was generally delicious!!! Price performance is right 👍👍👍👍👍👍

We had reserved a table, the overwhelmed employee couldn't find us in the list, but luckily there were still tables available. We ordered the potato chips for my son without seasoning, they were promptly served with seasoning and then made again. My daughter's Metaxa sauce was missing and also had to be delivered later. My husband received a completely different dish than what he ordered and was then asked if he would still eat it. He just took it because he doesn't think it's right to throw away so much food. What's more, my daughter's skewer tasted tough and dry. My son's gratinated gyros were literally swimming in fat, and unfortunately it also gave him diarrhea at night. We used to be happy here, but now we'd rather go back to the neighboring town for a Greek restaurant.

I love this Greek restaurant. Aside from the absolutely perfect tzatziki, the staff is also absolutely loving. I can only recommend the Dimitra restaurant to every visitor to the city of Wermelskirchen!

I'm careful with negative reviews, but this restaurant is a no go. The food was qualitatively far below average. The wine is inedible, extremely cheap. Price/performance ratio is not right. The quality of every kebab stand is better. The service is slow and inattentive. No wonder we got a table in the high season without any problems.

We were there with 4 people, very nice reception including a welcome ouzo 😋, the Stifado was very good, vegetarian dish good, fish good, starters very good. Overall worth a visit.

The best Greek restaurant we know. The best mezeplatte (starters). From the senior manager to the junior manager and the entire staff are super friendly and competent. We have known the restaurant for over 40 years and have never been disappointed. We can only recommend it!!!

Food is okay but sometimes takes a relatively long time. We made a spontaneous reservation (which you should definitely do!) and had a time slot of 1 1/2 hours, but unfortunately the food only arrived after 1 1/4 hours. We were still allowed to eat in peace. Unfortunately the taste is pretty average (e.g. dry gyros). We recently had a much better taste experience in a Greek snack bar. Unfortunately. Unfortunately, the atmosphere is more reminiscent of a train station lobby.

Very loud and cramped, three people sat in the back room. Food was just ok, a little too dry. Unfortunately there was no tzatzikki with the grill plate, and no onions with the gyros. It's a shame, there are definitely better Greeks.
