Went there spontaneously a few days ago, comfortably and cleanly furnished, ordered bifteki with metaxa sauce, salad & rice - ate it - briefly reordered fries without any problems, because I forgot to reorder the rice beforehand. The bifteki filled with sheep's cheese and metaxa sauce was delicious, salad/rice/fries standard.

Good morning, After our trip to the Rhine, we spontaneously went here for dinner. The restaurant was already busy shortly after it opened. Luckily we got a seat and the order was taken quite quickly. The staff is attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, we discovered that the order order was not followed. So many guests who came after us got their food before us. I had gyros. Unfortunately the plates were cold, which I think is a no go at a restaurant. The rice tasted very bland. The gyros were okay, not too dry but the taste wasn't perfect either. In principle the restaurant was okay, but not a real highlight. There is better Greek cuisine in the area. There are more than enough parking spaces behind the house. At times the air was quite stuffy and it was very warm, which I don't always think is a good thing. That's why I'm leaning towards these three stars in the rating.

Were there on a Monday, well attended, food perfect and plentiful, service on the ball and friendly. The only problem was that tzatziki had to be ordered separately with the dish. Still 👍thumbs up

Wir kommen aus Remscheid und waren jetzt mal wieder im Restaurant Dimitra. Wir wurden freundlich in Empfang genommen und zum Tisch begleitet. Nettes und freundliches Personal. Essen kam schnell und heiss an den Tisch. Wir haben griechische Gerichte bestellt und hier war das Fleisch saftig und frisch. Wenn man also griechisch Essen gehen möchte, dann haben wir unser Restaurant gefunden. Besser als bei Dimitra geht nicht.

Firstly we booked a table outside in advance - and we're glad that we did as the place was full outside. We parked in the ample, free car park behind the premises and we lead to one of the few, free tables at 7 o'clock on a busy Thursday evening. It took a little while to get the attention of the waiters/waitresses but once they had seen us at the far end of the terrace then things started to happen. Firstly we were given two glasses of chilled ouzo on the house. We had to wait for a third glass for our adult son but OK. We then ordered our drinks and food at the same time. The menu is quite extensive and we had no problems in choosing from the excellent choice available. I went for a large glass of Weizen beer and shared a plate of delicious fried zucchini and tzatziki. For my main course I had the "Land & Meer" combination of gyros, calamares, tzatziki, French fries and a small salad. The others had the turkey in a wonderful Metaxa sauce and the filled "Bifteki". To conclude I shared a generous portion of Galaktoboureko with my wife and we concluded our evening dinner with three more glasses of chilled ouzo. The bill came to €100 including a tip. We have lived and worked in Greece in the past and we like to think that we know a little about Greek food and hospitality. It was super full, no chance without a reservation. We ordered a comfortable seat for 4 people and were once again surprised at how attentive the staff were. Food was very, very tasty. Liver grilled to perfection, side salad I found the taste boring, but that's a matter of taste, everything else was generally delicious!!! Price performance is right 👍👍👍👍👍👍

I love this Greek restaurant. Aside from the absolutely perfect tzatziki, the staff is also absolutely loving. I can only recommend the Dimitra restaurant to every visitor to the city of Wermelskirchen!

We had reserved a table, the overwhelmed employee couldn't find us in the list, but luckily there were still tables available. We ordered the potato chips for my son without seasoning, they were promptly served with seasoning and then made again. My daughter's Metaxa sauce was missing and also had to be delivered later. My husband received a completely different dish than what he ordered and was then asked if he would still eat it. He just took it because he doesn't think it's right to throw away so much food. What's more, my daughter's skewer tasted tough and dry. My son's gratinated gyros were literally swimming in fat, and unfortunately it also gave him diarrhea at night. We used to be happy here, but now we'd rather go back to the neighboring town for a Greek restaurant.

I'm careful with negative reviews, but this restaurant is a no go. The food was qualitatively far below average. The wine is inedible, extremely cheap. Price/performance ratio is not right. The quality of every kebab stand is better. The service is slow and inattentive. No wonder we got a table in the high season without any problems.

We were there with 4 people, very nice reception including a welcome ouzo 😋, the Stifado was very good, vegetarian dish good, fish good, starters very good. Overall worth a visit.

The best Greek restaurant we know. The best mezeplatte (starters). From the senior manager to the junior manager and the entire staff are super friendly and competent. We have known the restaurant for over 40 years and have never been disappointed. We can only recommend it!!!

Food is okay but sometimes takes a relatively long time. We made a spontaneous reservation (which you should definitely do!) and had a time slot of 1 1/2 hours, but unfortunately the food only arrived after 1 1/4 hours. We were still allowed to eat in peace. Unfortunately the taste is pretty average (e.g. dry gyros). We recently had a much better taste experience in a Greek snack bar. Unfortunately. Unfortunately, the atmosphere is more reminiscent of a train station lobby.

Very loud and cramped, three people sat in the back room. Food was just ok, a little too dry. Unfortunately there was no tzatzikki with the grill plate, and no onions with the gyros. It's a shame, there are definitely better Greeks.

Gute Auswahl auf der Speisekarte, leckeres Essen, obwohl wir eine größere Gruppe waren haben fast alle gleichzeitig das Essen bekommen, das ist nicht überall so.

Eines unserer Lieblingsrestaurants im Ort. Der Service ist unangefochten an erster Stelle, die Küche ist sehr gut. Die Qualität der Speisen ist immer auf gleichem Niveau. Wir fühlen uns hier sehr wohl und kommen gerne mit der ganzen Familie. Auch unsere kleinen Enkelkinder lieben es hier 💜🫶.

Super griechisches Restaurant. Wir sind aus Spanien wegen der Anuga Messe gekommen. Das zweite Mal, dass wir bei Dimitra essen. Exzellentem Essen, sehr freundlich, angenehmes Ambiente. Es ist sicher, bei der nächsten Anuga, werden wir wieder in diesem Restaurant reservieren. Dieses Jahr waren wir 22 Personen. Zu empfehlen. Top. 👌🏼

Sicher eines der besten griechischen Restaurants überhaupt. Liebevolle Bedienung, leckeres Essen, immer freundlich. Wir kommen immer wieder gern und fühlen uns wie zu Hause!

Ausgesprochen leckeres Essen, sehr freundlicher Service Allerdings mussten wir ziemlich lange auf unser Essen warten. Das konnte man aber für diesen Genuss in Kauf nehmen. Tipp: Auf jeden Fall einen Platz vorbestellen, auch während der Woche.

Das Essen wie schon seit Jahren, top. Draußen sitzt man sehr nah an der Straße und am Bürgersteig. Leider nicht so schön. Im Innenraum ist es leider teilweise recht laut. Der Service ist freundlich und aufmerksam.

Wie haben lecker gegessen.Vor und nach dem Essen gab es einen Ouzo aufs Haus und vorab noch reichlich Brot, Peperoni und Kräuterbutter. Es war wieder sehr gut besucht. Das Personal sehr freundlich. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt. Wir empfehlen es auf jeden Fall weiter.

I've been here a few times and I don't understand why it's so full. The food is not great. The salad I was given was so bad I couldn't eat it. Normally I love Bauernsalat but it was too bland to finish. I ordered the Moussaka and I was so disappointed. It didn't resemble Moussaka in appearance or taste. It looked like a pile of lasagne on my plate (it should be served in a baking dish), it had no evidence of being in an oven (char marks), and the individual ingredients were unrecognizable. It didn't have the signature spices (cinnamon) found in Moussaka, it didn't have layers, it was just awful. The atmophere is not nice - the tables are too close together, you're almost bumping elbows with strangers. It's loud. The reason I will come back (lunch, not dinner) is the staff. It's American style service! Three different employees waited on us, and came often to see how we were doing. What a pity about the food and ambience, the employees seem genuine and are attentive. Understandably some Europeans won't appreicate this type of service, which can make them feel rushed. I enjoyed it. Learn how to make Moussaka, it's not that hard. Above all a Greek restaurant should have mastered it.

Familienessen am Mittag, eine Reservierung ist zu empfehlen, da gut besucht. Essen sehr gut und umfangreich. Personal freundliche und aufmerksam. Restaurant moderne Ausstattung. Hier stimmt Preis und Qualität. Vielleicht schaffen wir es beim nächsten Besuch mal wieder hier zu speisen.

Für jeden Anlass ist dieses griechische Restaurant perfekt. Jeder wird begrüßt wie ein alter Freund und es passt einfach alles. Das Essen, der Service, die Getränke, die Preise, die Atmosphäre. Wir sind mehrmals im Jahr hier.

A good place to dine and drink Ouzo as aperitif. Spacious parking at the back of Restaurant. Greek Cuisine to enjoy and savor. More success and be visiting often here in our town Wermelskirchen with heart!

Fun atmosphere. Friendly wait staff. Greek dishes. We had the grilled calamari. It was ok but drowned in oil. Couldn’t eat but half of it. Honestly I like Greek food but this was the poorest version I had. Too much cheese and oil in the dishes. Fun atmosphere I would go back for drinks but not the food.
