Die Olive in Viersen

Es hat sehr gut geschmeckt, das Essen war schnell da und die Menschen waren super freundlich. Ich habe mich selten so wohl in einem Lokal gefühlt. Außerdem haben sie den griechischen Charme sehr gut eingefangen.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden. So stellt man sich eine griechische Taverne vor. Herzlich, leckeres Essen, uriges Ambiente gerne wieder!

Sehr lecker.. Es ist von der akkustik her recht laut..aber insgesamt gut 👍

Hervorragendes griechisches Essen, nicht zu vergleichen mit den mittelmäßigen Speisen, die man bei anderen ortsansässigen griechischen Restaurants erhält. Das Restaurant bezeichnet sich selbst als Taverne, was auch für Griechenlandkenner in jeder Beziehung zutreffend ist. Persönliche Note bei den Speisen, südländische Gastfreundlichkeit und Ambiente stimmen. Für uns ist die Qualität der entscheidende Faktor, welcher uns immer zur Wiederkehr bringt. Und bei der Getränkeauswahl kann man hier gute griechische Produkte wählen ( Mythos, guter Ouzo, leckere Weine -insbesondere der Kechibari-Retsina-). Und zum Abschluss einen guten Eliniko kriegen Kosta und Georgina auf den Punkt hin. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist stimmig, auch wenn viele sagen, es wäre zu teuer. Wenn der Chef sein Gyrosfleisch vor dem "Aufspießen" räuchert, sagt dies schon alles. Eben keine Imbiss-Massenware. Wer gutes, vor allem frisches Essen mag und Griechenland liebt - nichts wie hin. Nachtrag 2 Jahre später: Kosta hat seine Speisekarte verändert/erweitert. Jetzt gibt es richtige griechische Meze! Eine Vielzahl an kleinen Speisen, sehr schmackhaft und raffiniert zubereitet. Man möchte gar nicht mehr weg und einen langen Abend mit guten Freunden lange und ausgiebig genießen. Es war die richtige Entscheidung des Teams, nicht nur die in Deutschland erwarteten Speisen anzubieten, sondern die original griechische Esskultur einzuführen.

Kleine, urige griechische Taverne in Viersen, mit leckerem griechischen Essen, herzliche, ungezwungene Atmosphäre, so wie wir es aus Griechenland kennen. Sehr aufmerksame und freundliche Bedienung, Chef Costa und Fau kümmern sich um das leibliche Wohl der Gäste ,wie um die Begrüßung eines jeden Gastes. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt . Hier kommt man als Gast und geht als Freund.

Uns hat der Abend sehr gut gefallen. Vorweg kam ein kleiner Salat und recht zeitnah die Grillplatte für 2 Personen. Das Essen war ansehnlich auf einem Holzbrett serviert, Teller, Besteck und Servietten wurden gereicht. Es war so reichlich vorhanden, dass wir nicht alles aufessen konnten. Im Anschluss gab es einen Ouzo und ein "Gebäck" zum Nachtisch, quasi auf's Haus. Das farbenfrohe Ambiente und die freundliche, zugewandte Bedienung haben uns zum Sitzen bleiben animiert. Wir empfehlen im Vorfeld einen Tisch zu reservieren, da das kleine Lokal oft voll ausgelastet ist. Freundlichkeit ist hier Trumpf. Ein insgesamt unvergesslicher Abend. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Kurz angerufen, 10min später, obwohl der Laden voll ist,der beste Gyrosteller aus Viersen fertig. An Qualität und Portionen wird hier mal nicht gespart! Wirklich hervorragend ! Weiter so ! Muss man Probieren !!

Für Leute, die das absolute familiäre lieben und freundschaftlich mit der Crew sein wollen, ist das Restaurant ein muss. Vom Essen war ich nicht so begeistert, aber über geschmack lässt sich ja bekanntlich streiten.

Weihnachtsfeier der "Gentleman", einer aus neun Personen bestehenden Herren Freundesgruppe. Essen grandios! Bedienung blitzschnell und aufmerksam! Chef ein wahrer Gastgeber, witzig und unterhaltsam! Die Olive ist sehr zu empfehlen!

A colorful, warm atmosphere, a warm welcome, and delicious food all around. The service was exceptional, attentive, and friendly! It's a shame we live in Berlin, otherwise this would have definitely become our regular spot. Thanks for the best break on our trip!

A true insider tip in Viersen! Everything is just right at Restaurant Olive: The food is outstanding – fresh, aromatic, and typically Greek. The Genesis wine is especially recommended; its full-bodied flavor pairs perfectly with the food. The atmosphere is authentically Mediterranean; you almost feel like you're on vacation. The hosts are extremely friendly, welcoming, and their open manner creates a family atmosphere. The prices are also absolutely fair and reasonable. We will definitely be back! The quality of the dishes was really good. The schnitzel was freshly prepared, not a pre-made, pressed-board dish. The sauces and dressings are also tasty homemade. Vegetarians will certainly find something to enjoy, but the menu focuses on meat and fish dishes. The outdoor ambiance (that's the only thing I can judge by) can be described as welcoming and hospitable, but the location within a residential area limits the Mediterranean flair. All in all, in my opinion, a nice place to enjoy delicious, high-quality Greek food at a good price.

Unfortunately, the gyro plate has become much too expensive at €16.50... in Dülken, a larger portion costs €10. The price difference is too big, which is why I haven't been there since.

A small fine restaurant. It's better to make a reservation to guarantee a spot. It was our first time there and we were treated like we were regular customers. So friendly and warm. The food is top. We'll be back.

The shop is small, loud and cozy! The food is really very good. It's fresh, well prepared and delicious. It's not a shop for a quiet evening. But it is the place for a nice and cozy evening with atmosphere.

Although I had heard a lot of very good things, I was a bit disappointed. Price performance is not right for me. Small portion of good but not very good taste and relatively expensive. The selection of drinks could be better and it is extremely cramped because there are many tables in a small space.

It's just beautiful here. We really enjoy coming here. The food is great. The service is unique and wonderful. The boss is super great. It's definitely worth it. It's best to reserve a table on the weekend. It's always crowded here because of the great atmosphere and delicious food.

I got something to eat there based on a recommendation. Gyro plate 16 euros and that too without salad Meat just burned. Tzatziki firm and sour. The fries were OK but only that.

The food in the small Traverse was different than others but that didn't make it any worse. On the contrary, we found the food really good. Unfortunately, the small traverse is very loud when there are a lot of people there. The service was super friendly, but unfortunately I found the food relatively expensive compared to other Greeks. Nevertheless, despite when we enjoyed the olive, all in all it was really great and anyone who wants to eat something different should definitely try the food here.

The restaurant was recommended by friends and there were three of us there. Everyone had a sumptuous starter and for the main course we had the palate plate and the grill plate twice. Everything was freshly prepared, the grape leaves were rolled manually and the salads and side dishes were crisp and fresh! The tzatziki was my wife's highlight. It got full after 6 p.m. and by that I mean really full, because the atmosphere isn't great, but the service never lost its friendliness and speed! Wasn't the last visit to this small family-run tavern

Very cozy atmosphere, not too huge, but you can still eat here with a group. No matter what you eat, it is always delicious and fresh! We were here recently with ten people and everyone got their food at the same time (and hot!). Great! And everyone is really nice, no matter how much stress they are under. Our favorite place since we discovered it! Also highly recommended if you want to pick up and eat at home.

Sehr gutes Team vom Chef bis zum Service. Alles tip top sauber. Essen lecker. Am besten Reservieren für einen Platz zu bekommen. Für drausssen muss man auf jeden Fall reservieren. 13.01.2024 auch heute war alles wieder sehr gut.

Wir holen sehr oft bei der Olive Gyros. Mittlerweile bestimmt seit 3/4 Jahren. Leider mussten wir feststellen, dass die Qualität des Fleisches immer mittelmäßiger wird. Nicht mehr so saftig, oftmals auch etwas zu lange gegrillt. Sehr schade- ich bin immer sehr gerne dort hingegangen. Mal schauen wie es sich zukünftig entwickeln wird.

Lecker essen und super Bedienung

Super lecker und die Portionen sind ausreichen groß. Preis Leistung hervorragend und die Bedienung super freundlich und schnell. Einen Stern Abzug weil der Laden wirklich winzig ist und bedingt dadurch herrscht dort eine so laute Atmosphäre, dass man sich zum unterhalten fast anschreien muss. Aber sonst hervorragend.

Absolut unverschämt.Muss schon aufpassen nicht ausfällig zu werden. Essen wird für Stammkunden/Freunde zurückgehalten.„Gleich kommen 11 Gäste, die bestellen immer Gyros deswegen kann man kein Gyros bestellen (O-Ton)“. Nach Diskussion!! mit Chef durfte man kleine Portion bestellen und man könnte sich ja auch schließlich etwas anderes bestellen. „Ouzu12“ Werbung lässt Grüßen. Qualität des Essens war okay.
