Incredibly delicious food, good prices, a charming atmosphere, and very friendly staff. Very quiet, with hardly any noise from the street. After your meal, you can buy pre-packaged Maultaschen (Swabian ravioli) and receive detailed instructions for preparing them. All in all, excellent and highly recommended.

Even though I'm a regular in Cologne, I've always walked past it. Today I stopped in and wondered why only now. Delicious, authentic cuisine with very friendly service. I'd love to come back. The terrace is also great for people-watching 😀

If you're not familiar with this restaurant, you might not notice it, so it's a secret tip if you want to eat well and affordably near Cologne Cathedral. The food also keeps you full for a long time. The cheese spaetzle was particularly delicious. 🫶🏼 It's definitely worth a visit.

I ate the best Maultaschen I've ever tasted here. I love eating the fried Maultaschen there. I think it's especially cool that you can also buy Maultaschen and sausages, the Swabian specialties. I actually always have a supply of classic Maultaschen at home.

Authentic German food. The Maultauschen (a kind of German stew) with potato salad tastes sensational and isn't too heavy, even in summer. The entire package was excellent all around.

Unfortunately, the Maultasche (from Swabian Hall pork) is now made by a different butcher. I gave them a chance, but unfortunately, the taste isn't my thing. The previous ones were far better. What a shame!

I didn't know what Maultase was, so I just ordered it, and it was a dish that tasted like a pancake. They say it's similar to Italian ravioli. The owner was very kind, and the food was more delicious than I thought. It was a good restaurant where I could eat without hesitation.

We were really looking forward to the meal, but after the Maultaschen were served burnt-side down at the next table and the staff's reaction was very questionable, our anticipation vanished for a while. Our meal was okay, but nothing more. A relatively large amount of money for not much food. We don't plan on returning.

When we were in town recently, we walked past here and thought, why not try Maultaschen? We looked for a table outside, as it was a bit busier. Unfortunately, there are too many tables for too little space. Everything is very cramped; when it rains, there are spots where you'll get wet. The service is prompt, and the small menu is easy to navigate. Unfortunately, you can't combine dishes, which is a shame. I would have liked a bit more flexibility. Let's get to the main point, the food: We had the Maultaschen melted in broth and topped with egg. That there's no pasta to go with the broth is a bit disappointing. So the portion is too small (not filling). With the Maultaschen with egg, you get potato salad and a salad, which is sufficient. Since there's very little difference in cost between these two dishes, I'm not a fan of the value for money. The taste of the Maultaschen is simply delicious. Despite the good taste, I would prefer other restaurants.

I came here specifically for the Spätzle, and it did not disappoint. The dish was really good. The resturant is a small and cozy spot with a local, authentic feel, exactly what I was looking for. Friendly service and great quality. I’ll definitely come back to try more from the menu!

This was the first time I enjoyed a delicious German dish called Maultasse. The Maultasse, German-style ravioli in a rich broth, was truly delicious. If you want to try authentic German home cooking, not beer hall food like Schweinshaxe, I recommend this place. The downside is that it's located in the city center, so if you sit outside, the smell is quite strong.

A hidden small dining place in the heart of Cologne. If you crave for a traditional Swabian cuisine, maultasche, large dumplings, in North Rhein Westphalia, this is definitely the place to be. Traditional and vegetarian maultasche are offered. Plenty of great yet off-radar German red and white wines can be paired with this simple yet filling dishes. A good strong coffee and German cake will close your meal perfectly. Fast and friendly service for a very fair price.

The food is really very tasty. The staff is super friendly. The quality is top class. A new coat of paint in the guest room would be necessary but it is clean.

Great regional dishes (German style ravioli, but could also be compared with Asian soup noodles!) All home made, simple menu, regional wines as well as good coffee. Great lunch spot!

The atmosphere is a bit rocky. Seating options not comfortable. The fact that the convection machine does not have any exhaust air outside but rather the vapors in the room is not good. The Maultaschen with the Swabian potato salad are the best Maultaschen I have ever eaten. Definitely try it

If a place is called Maultasche and this main dish on offer would be bad, that would be very unfortunate. But it’s not only good, it’s really really good and probably one of the best Maultaschen I’ve had. The broth was very slightly on the salty side but in a way accentuated the heartiness and heritage of the dish. Service was impeccable! I witnessed a very fussy table next to me and the welcoming and solution oriented staff really shined! Hospitality in its purest form! I’ll definitely will be back!

Food okay. The service is sublime. I order a 0.1 glass of wine. Will be forgotten on the invoice. I point this out, the waitress thanks me and then charges me a 0.2 glass, saying: I poured more. You don't have to have it.

A place with typical specialties of the culinary culture of southern Germany, the specialty is "ravioli" rolls stuffed with meat and various side dishes such as potato salad or cabbage. The dish I ate was very good, inside it is possible to buy different types of ravioli in portions so you can cook them at home even without meat for those who don't eat meat, the service was friendly and the place is small. Prices ok.

Small shop in the middle of the city that you rush past in a rush... but you shouldn't! We enjoyed the spaetzle and Oberländer with potato salad! Prices are reasonable given the location, only a small cola 0.25 l for €3.90 - a bit 'un-Swabian'

Sehr leckere Maultaschengerichte. Sowohl angebraten in Butter oder auch in Kombination Suppe. Perfekt für einen Mittagssnack zum Stadtbummel. Netter kleiner Laden mit sehr freundlichem Team. Komme hier immer wieder gerne hin. Die Maultaschen und andere Leckereien gibt es auch im Kühlregal zum Mitnehmen.

Ein kleines Restaurant, das von uns bei Besuchen in Köln immer wieder gerne aufgesucht wird. Die Vielfalt an Maultaschen - auch vegan - ist beeindruckend.

Die Käsespätzle und die Maultasche mit Kartoffelsalat waren sehr lecker. Schnelle Bedienung und sehr freundlicher Inhaber.

DER Ort, wenn man in Köln schwäbisch essen will. Gehe gerne hin, wenn ich im Städtchen bin. Ob Maultaschen, Kartoffelsalat oder Käsespätzle - alles schmeckt hervorragend und ist mit Liebe zubereitet. Die Bedienung ist auch immer freundlich. Zum mitnehmen gibt's auch noch reichlich Leckereien. Nicht gerade preiswert, aber den Preis wert ;)

I went to this restaurant because I really wanted to try German dumplings. It was quite underwhelming. The filling in the dumpling was not very tasty. The waiter at the restaurant was very friendly and helpful though.

Superlecker, alle waren begeistert. Via Lieferando bestellt (kam leider ca. 30min zu spät) und eine Kleinigkeit fehlte. Das wurde aber direkt telefonisch geklärt und die nette Entschuldigung entschädigte dafür). Wir bestellen gerne wieder :)

Wer Schwäbische Maultaschen mag, ist hier bestens aufgehoben. Wild oder Vegan, dazu Salate wie "von Muttern", Saisonale Highlights, wie Kürbis Maultaschen, man kommt gerne wieder.

Little restaurant specialized in this type of German ravioli. I wouldn't leave town without trying them!! Even being in one of the busiest areas in town is worth a visit. They also sell the Maultaschen to take them home.

Die Käsespätzle waren sehr Lecker, das Gleiche lässt sich über die Gemüsemaultaschen sagen. Mein freundlicher Begleiter und geschätzter Kollege nahm sich die Fleischmaultasche vor und deklarierte sie "zu fleischig". Was ihr mit dieser Info macht ist euch selbst überlassen. :)
