We were just there to eat. But we would like to repeat this more often. Super tasty, friendly service, no long waiting times. Highly recommended!

Today we were at a birthday party with around 40 people in the German house. Everything worked great. Very polite staff and very good food. We would love to come back again. Great location with a great view. I can't rate the rooms.

Very good food from our own butcher shop. Game meat from our own hunt. The service is great. Definitely reserve in advance. Especially on weekends. Takeaway also available. Great view. Lots of parking spaces.

My Jägerschnitzel with spaetzle was excellent. There's nothing to complain about. Delicious. The beef fillet was ordered "medium well", but turned out to be "rare" and unfortunately not available to enjoy. The service was super nice and wanted to buy us an espresso, cappuccino or a schnapps 🙏🏼 The €40 for the meat that was left behind still had to be paid, logically so. Unfortunately we got the seat at the entrance/exit, but it was a bit cold there because the door kept opening and closing. But otherwise there's nothing to complain about. Super nice ambience, nice staff, delicious Jägerschnitzel and great portions. 👍🏼

The German House is always worth a visit. Food is excellent and of good quality. The service is also top. Have been there many times and have never been disappointed.

Absolutely worth coming here. There are wonderful hiking routes around the German house, both shorter and longer, and also a great view directly in front of the restaurant. The service is super accommodating and quick, the food is impeccably good and the products that you can buy on site (bread, smoked sausages, canned meat/dishes, pickles and jams, pasta, juices, etc.) are also top-priced and high-quality anyway. I really enjoy coming here and can only recommend it.

We were only there to eat. Good home-style Swabian cuisine at fair prices. As a starter we had a pancake soup, the broth was strong and the surface area was just right. Lentils with spaetzle with strings were excellent. The roast pork Jäger style was very tender, the meat could be separated with a fork. Mushroom sauce tasted very good. There were also spaetzle and croquettes, which were also very good. The side salad also had a bit of everything on the plate. The potato salad was served on an extra platelet. The waiting time for the food was pleasantly short.bI give 5 stars for the food. The service was friendly and attentive, but unfortunately we sat in a corner where we could easily be forgotten. The restaurant was very busy and you should call ahead.

This year we had our Christmas party again in the German House and there were 95 people there. All of our wishes were taken into account. The organization is optimal. The food was fantastic, as was the service. Price performance very good. An unforgettable stay. We'll definitely be back.

Since we live nearby, we haven't been in the rooms yet. So I can't give any stars here but......everything else is an absolute blast 🤩. We often go out for dinner on Sundays around 1:30 p.m. Always get a table, a friendly/funny waiter...the girls are great too...and fantastic food.

On our first visit the food was very good. I would like to highlight the side dish and potato salad. Schnitzel, spaetzle and sauce were delicious. Now we were there for the second time. Käsespätzle only tastes like an extreme cheese, onions are fried and not melted. I wouldn't order again. Maultaschen were more like sausage meat wrapped in dough. In my opinion this has nothing to do with Maultaschen at all. We bought bread to take home that was extremely salty. The service is very courteous and friendly. The waiting time is entertaining.

This used to be our favorite restaurant, but unfortunately recently the prices have risen sharply while the quality has declined. On our last visit on December 1st, 2024, we ordered roast beef with pepper cream sauce and a Bavarian duck, along with two drinks, and paid around €75 for it. The last three visits were rather disappointing, so we will no longer visit the German House.

We were there on Saturday evening with a group of 14 people (birthday)...The service was excellent...very attentive, always nearby, super friendly...The food came at the same time (!!)...large portion , very tasty...what I think is great is that the side dishes come extra and you can order them at any time...The dessert was also very tasty! The highlight is the dessert plate for the birthday child with a sparkler!! Otherwise, the ambience is rustic, with nice eye-catchers... There is a small farm shop integrated into the restaurant where you can buy homemade bread, sausage and jam, etc.

Everything was tip top, we would love to come back 😀!!!

Praise and criticism. Sumptuous good food, friendly service, wishes are fulfilled as far as possible. Overall, salads have a bit too much vinegar. But there are also great salads that taste natural, such as radish salad and carrot salad. Delicious. In my opinion, potato salad should be without flavor enhancers if it is homemade. The range of pork alternatives is poor. Beef steak was too risky for us because we didn't know the restaurant yet, so my husband only had venison goulash to choose from. This was good, but also had a flavor enhancer in the seasoning. The restaurant was very busy and also loud. Our corner made up of chairs and tables in the middle of the restaurant was not suitable for conversation. It is better to choose a seating area on the edge or in a niche. What can be done better? 1. When you come to visit for the first time and ask about a place to wash your hands, the answer from a very young, surprised lady should not be: "in the toilet" but she should remain just as polite and show where the toilet is. 2. The food came in several courses, which unnecessarily lengthened the time spent there. One soup came first, everyone else had to wait. Then there were starter salads, everyone else had to wait. Then there was another 45 minute break before the main course came. We were almost the first guests to arrive and almost the last to leave. Due to the long journey, this was inconvenient for us and not obvious. 3. Avoiding flavor enhancers such as glutamate, yeast extract and the like would be nice. 4. If I ask for an invoice, I expect it to include VAT and not a preliminary receipt that says “no invoice”. Unfortunately I only saw it at home.

Our first visit to this house was very impressive! The waitress was very friendly and always had a smile on her face, even though it was busy! The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were huge 😋 But you can also order senior plates 😊 My partner and I will definitely come back for dinner!

One of the best German cuisines! Unfortunately, this statement is no longer true when we went out to eat today. Unfortunately there hasn't been any improvement over the last few times... Ordered a cordon bleu, my daughter ordered a children's schnitzel, the children's schnitzel was marginally smaller than the cordon bleu, but my meal cost more than twice as much... both breadings were fried in the pan for too long (very brownish and not golden yellow) and on Meat itself tasted the same... Sorry! If you at least bring the taste of your kitchen back to that of 2 - 3 years ago, then I'll be happy to pay the price! But unfortunately without me...

Geheimtipp: Kartoffelsalat! Essen sehr reichhaltig und lecker. Auch Mittagszeit sehr gut ausgebucht. Schwäbische Hausmannskost sehr zu empfehlen. Kleiner Laden mit regionalen Speisen vorhanden.

Last Saturday we were able to hold our second big family reunion in the German house. The reservation went smoothly, the food (à la carte!) and the service were great and the guests staying overnight were enthusiastic about the breakfast buffet. Many thanks to everyone, especially the friendly and attentive young lady who was concerned about our well-being all day and Mr. Riexinger for his uncomplicated way of organizing everything. We'll be back next year!

We recently had dinner with a group of 11 people. Price/performance was very decent, great food. We all received our meals at the same time, although almost everyone ordered something different. The food came quite quickly, attentive and very friendly service. We'll be back. All 11 raved about this wonderful final meal of our trip.

Unfortunately our room still has carpet in the basement. Very noisy. From above. Barely audible on the highway when the window is closed. Early in the morning there was a van almost in front of our room. No more sleep possible. Unfortunately, I sleep at night with many interruptions. Always catching mosquitoes. Despite the window. At reception in the morning they dismissed it as being known. You pass it on. The service in the restaurant was very friendly despite the very, very full tables. The food was very tasty, but due to the large number of people, it wasn't enough to spend a cozy evening for two. The Cordon Bleu on my plate. As I said, delicious. But it was very thin. There were two on all the other plates. Which were also thicker. The waitress said how it happened. When it comes to Jägrschnitzel, it would be good to note that it is without breading.

Well-run restaurant in a prime location. The rooms are very clean and spacious. Friendly staff. The inn is quite large, but very busy at lunchtime and evening. Reservations are advisable, but you can often get a table that way. The inn also has a small farm shop and its own butcher's shop. The quality of the dishes is really very good. It tastes great, the portions are generous and the price-performance ratio is really good. Swabian cuisine at its best. The restaurant is barrier-free, as are the toilets.

Guests who came after us got food before us. My 6 year old son got his food half an hour after me. Hardly an apology. Food was good.

Unfortunately the main course was a total failure. The rump steak tasted like a minced steak, the sauce was much too thick. (finished product). Side dish potatoes in the German house means croquettes. The salad should be highlighted positively. This was very tasty. For a price tag of over €30, the price/performance level is utopian. Too bad...

The ambience is incredibly beautiful. But the food is simply amazing... homemade with love and in abundance. The salad was tasty and plenty and the main course was fresh and worth every cent. But the apple fritters for dessert were the highlight. Palate orgasm deluxe

As always, a lot going on. But simply great service and very good food. Always happy to come back. Next time by bike and then to the great new beer garden.

We were in the beer garden of the German House for the first time. The ambience is magical. The drinks are sophisticated, the non-alcoholic beer is a rosy temptation. Yes, it tastes like rose petals, almost like an Ipa. The salad plate was rich and tasty, only when I think of plucked chicken I imagine shredded meat and not fried breast meat. Price performance is ok. By the way, the beer garden is self-service.

Great location! We found the German House by chance, or rather with the help of Google. We were passing through and were looking for somewhere good to eat near the motorway (A8). There is a great restaurant, a beautiful beer garden and delicious food. What I would particularly like to emphasize is the friendliness of everyone, the boss and employees were very accommodating and warmly friendly. You just felt welcome. To make matters worse, we were even allowed to spend the night in our motorhome in the restaurant parking lot. Thank you!!!

Wenn ich ehrlich bin, finde ich den Namen nicht besonders attraktiv, aber das Lokal, das Personal, die Speisen sind absolut attraktiv!!! Es liegt wunderbar ländlich und hat sehr schöne Außen- und Innenbereiche. Das Personal ist unglaublich präsent, höflich, aufmerksam und schnell. Und die Speisen sind schwäbisch und ausgesprochen lecker. Die Speisekarte ist abwechslungsreich ohne übertrieben reichhaltig zu sein - ich bin bei zu viel Angebot immer etwa skeptisch - das ist hier absolut nicht der Fall. Die Speisen werden frisch zubereitet und schmecken ganz wunderbar. Es gab sogar einen "Gruß" aus der Küche, nämlich einen kleinen Teller frischen schwäbischen Kartoffelsalat. Ich fand die Portionen sehr groß, aber ich bin kein gängiger Maßstab - konnte aber das "Zuviel" mitnehmen. Also auch dafür wird gesorgt. Wenn wir in der Gegend sein werden, werde ich mich gerne an den Landgasthof "Deutsches Haus" erinnern. Im Eingangsbereich gibt es auch einen Verkaufsstand mit frischen Wurstwaren der Metzgerei. Auch diese Speisen sind ausgezeichnet.

A restaurant with a nice menu with lots of specialties. The setting is magnificent, all in wood and typical of the Alps. We ate more than too well. I recommend the Käse Spätzle!

Nice hotel in a beautiful location, yet close to the highway, ideal for a stopover on a trip to Austria. A good breakfast in the morning and a delicious meal in the restaurant in the evening.

Beautiful large family Landgasthof with very friendly staff and a beautiful panoramic terrace overlooking the Kaltenwang. The hotel has 21 large, well-maintained rooms, a large restaurant, breakfast room, beer garden and outdoor playground. The menu offers a wide choice of different dishes that are also affordable and the delicious breakfast is extensive and included free of charge with your room. Great location as a stopover to Austria.

Always full, always very good. Very tasteful, rich. Also cakes and tarts to take away. Small sales counter with our own bread and sausages. Highly recommended for overnight stays. Team is on the ball. Beautiful outdoor area to sit. Suitable for children.

The restaurant is an absolute recommendation! We live nearby and went there for dinner for the first time today after a few drive-bys and recommendations. Despite the size of the restaurant and the busy crowd, the service is super quick and friendly! The food came super quickly and was extremely tasty! The side salad was excellently prepared, the potato salad came separately and was a sensation, the meat was on point and the portions were generous even for good eaters! Price-performance ratio also fits. Overall, despite previous recommendations, we were really positively surprised and will definitely be back soon! One of the best experiences in terms of home-style cooking in a long time! Thanks!

The country inn was a stopover on our long-distance hiking trail in the Swabian Alb. Remarkable and a big thank you again that despite arriving very late at 9 p.m. (despite the kitchen being closed) we were still treated to a huge, very tasty salad and fantastic rump steak!!! Thank you!!!🙏

The best restaurant in the area! We come back again and again and are thrilled every time. The food tastes full-bodied and fresh. Only recommended!

Medium-sized group of 10 people had lunch in the restaurant for an à la carte meal - so the restaurant and NOT the hotel are being reviewed here Tickets were brought quickly and the drink order was taken straight away. The drinks also came to the table quickly and correctly. The food order, including special requests, was received in a friendly manner and also served to the table without errors and in a reasonable time. The side salads are served in advance, are generously sized and offer a nice and fresh variety. The side dishes for the main course, such as spaetzle, dumplings and croquettes, are placed on the table in several containers to be shared. Various sauces in terrines are also served on the table. The dumplings were great, the croquettes were average and the spaetzle was mushy (there was also water at the bottom of the plate). Unfortunately, the vegetable plate wasn't great in terms of taste, but the vegetable curry was delicious. The breaded schnitzels were good, as were the lentils and the roast pork. Unfortunately, the quality of the pork medallions fell off again as they were cooked too dry. The service was consistently attentive and friendly and the prices were reasonable. However, billing as a single payer or cash payer was a bit bumpy in the end and involved several “reworks”.

Beautiful location with beautifully landscaped outdoor areas. We sat on the terrace to eat. The service staff was quick. The food was good and cheap by today's standards. We were very satisfied and will come back!

The schnitzel with fries and the potato salad are always worth a visit! The staff is really extremely friendly and I'm always fascinated by how quickly the food comes even though it's very busy. I think the prices are completely justified. I also think the small shopping opportunity for regional products is really nice. Can really recommend this restaurant to Wärmsteins!

Gestern war ich mit meiner Freundin in diesem Lokal zum Mittagessen. Schon mehrere Male war ich dort und das seit vielen Jahren, auch bei runden Geburtstagen. Ich bestellte das Mittagsmenü, was auch zügig kam. Leider waren die Spaghetti total verkocht und nicht gesalzen. Die Bolognese war zu erkennen, aber kaum eine Tomatensauce, lediglich eine rote Brühe unten im Teller. Das ganze Gericht war dermaßen fad und konnte trotz Nachwürzen mit Salz und Pfeffer nicht schmecken. Ich ließ es einpacken und habe mir heute eine richtig gute Tomatensauce gekocht und über die Bolognese gegeben. Seither war ich sehr zufrieden mit der Küche, aber das war nichts, geht viel besser. Meine Freundin, die ich eingeladen hatte, bestellte einen Kaltenwanger Vorspeisenteller um € 12,50. Da sie keinen Fisch wollte, wurde es abgeändert in Champignons. Sie wartete und wartete, ich habe sie schon mit meinem Essen gefüttert und es kam nichts. Die Bedienung ist ständig vorbeigelaufen und hat nicht bemerkt, daß das Essen fehlt. Im übrigen war es 14 Uhr und das Lokal war nicht voll, im Gegenteil. Schließlich haben wir die Bedienung nach dem Essen gefragt. Nachdem sie in der Küche nachgefragt hatte, war ihre Antwort, daß es dort vergessen wurde. Sie hat sich entschuldigt. Als die Vorspeise kam, waren wir sehr enttäuscht, denn wir hatten mehr erwartet. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis hat nicht gepaßt. Es wäre charmant gewesen, wenn ein kleiner Nachtisch, vielleicht 1 Kugel Eis, als Wiedergutmachung gekommen wäre. Mit Hauswein und Verpackung zahlten wir €40,20, viel Geld für ein Essen, welches absolut nicht unseren Vorstellungen entsprach.

Schönes Lokal, gutes Essen (auch Vegetarier haben was gefunden), freundliche Bedienung. Großer Parkplatz und auch eine Bushaltestelle vorm Haus. Guter Startpunkt für Wanderungen. Wir haben im Laden ein Dinkelvollkornbrot gekauft, welches super lecker war.

Echt schwäbische Klassiker unglaublich lecker! Hier findet jeder etwas: Zarter Rostbraten mit herrlichen Spätzle und ein wunderbarere gemischter Salat. Maultasche, Rinderbraten, etc. Ganz besonders hervorzuheben ist der Kartoffelsalat: der kommt sogar in einer separaten Schüssel auf den Tisch. Wie bei meiner Oma früher - vielleicht sogar besser. Kompliment! Das Deutsche Haus ist in jedem Fall ein Besuch wert.

Waren zum Geburtstagsessen mit Schwiegermama hier. Habe einen Zwiebelrostbraten gegessen. War sehr lecker. Freitagabends war hier viel los. Komme gerne wieder.

Leider sind Bilder doch nicht alles und ich war auf den ersten Eindruck etwas enttäuscht . Im Inneren dieses grosse Lokal , eher Ausflugslokal , sehr laut und über das Essen war ich sehr enttäuscht. Das Personal aber sehr ,sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit . Tolle Mitarbeiter . Die Zimmer in die Jahre gekommen , aber sauber und ordentlich . Die Autobahn so nahe , man hört sie durchs geschlossene Fenster. Was aber gar nicht geht , unter mir Hotelgäste die stundenlang in.die Nacht laut sprechend auf dem Balkon standen und rauchten und keine Rücksicht nahmen .Trotz geschlossenen Fenster , trotz mehrmaliger Aufforderung von mir , keine Ruhe möglich. Was mich aber besonders ärgerte , kein Mensch über die Rezeption erreichbar. Die Rezeptions -Nummer die so groß am Telefon klebte , bringt mal gar nichts wenn keiner rangeht . So was geht gar nicht in einem Hotel , das man Nachts im Schlafanzug raus muss um um Ruhe bitten muss. Sehr schade , könnte man besser machen. Vor dem Aufenthalt hatte ich eine Anfrage , leider auch bis heute keine Antwort erhalten . Mein Aufenthalt hat dies nicht gerade verschönert .Mittlerweile haben wir 0.30 h und an Schlaf hier ist nicht zu denken.

Waren spontan an einem Samstag Abend da und haben auch ohne Reservierung einen tollen Platz bekommen. Das Essen war wirklich super und die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Alles in allem, war es top und wir kommen mit Sicherheit wieder.

Sehr schönes Landgasthaus mit ausgezeichneter deutschen Küche. Sehr nettes und bemühtes Personal, Chef und Junior setzen alle Hebel in Bewegung einen Tisch zu finden auch wenn man ohne Reservierung vorbei schaut. Wir kehren gerne dort ein beim Wandern über die schöne schwäbische Alb, im tollen Biergarten oder fahren Abends auch gerne zum Essen bin. Unsere Hunde sind stets willkommen und bekommen immer einen Wasser Napf. Der eigene Laden mit frischem selbst gebackenen Brot ist für uns immer ein Abstecher beim Gehen wert. Wir finden euch Klasse, bleibt wie ihr seid!

Top essen dafür dass es sehr groß ist. Auch das Holzofen Brot dort zum Mitnehmen ist unglaublich gut. Auch die Würste usw sehr sehr lecker. Chef und Junior Chef immer im Laden und persönlich am Gäste zuweisen und versuchen immer einen Platz zu finden. Der Erfolg ist absolut berechtigt!

Obwohl am Sonntag Nachmittag sehr viel los war, haben wir einen Platz bekommen, wurden sehr freundlich bedient und der Kuchen war auch noch sehr lecker. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wie immer sehr gute Speisen und Getränke. Preisleistungsverhältnis sehr gut. 24.01.2024 Die Wochenkarte ist nicht mehr das, was es schon war, leider. Es gibt schon seit längerem keine Schweinshaxe mehr auf der Wochenkarte, oder sonst deftiges.....
