The Seekrug is always worth a visit, summer and winter.

We were there for a photography course as part of a university project and had a fantastic experience! The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious! Highly recommended! :)

A wonderfully charming, quaint restaurant with super friendly service 👍🏼 We had the Pickert snack platter and can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who likes to try a variety of things. If the 12 squares aren't enough, you can always order more.

What's unusual is that it's open all year round, with no closing days. There's always something going on. A good starting point for a short hike.

Upon arrival, I was greeted with a radiant smile; the entire stay was breathtaking; I have never experienced such caring service staff.

+Very nice location + Great cakes + Mostly friendly staff - Price-performance ratio is comparatively high, sometimes too high - In case of mishaps, which can always happen (like forgetting food), a little more goodwill would be appreciated (e.g., free coffee or something similar). An apology would also be nice (it probably wasn't the server's day). - Cleanliness of the restrooms could be improved. - In summer, the music is too loud when the weather is nice (Dune 13). Overall: quite okay. Dune 13 is definitely a highlight for Bielefeld, although the music could be a bit quieter.

Update 2025. Unfortunately, it's not so great anymore. Unfriendly and overwhelmed staff. There are also too few staff. The overall selection has deteriorated significantly. A shame. On March 20, 2024, we arrived quite late. We asked if we could still get something to eat and if we could eat in peace. We didn't want to spoil the evening for the other diners, of course. The young man was incredibly nice and said, "Yes, no problem." The two of us ordered the Obersee platter. And it was definitely enough for two. In the end, we even had some packed up because there was so much. So the price was absolutely fine!! Huge portions. Therefore, it's not expensive at all. Top quality! Freshly prepared. Not like so many other places these days with frozen and canned food. No, here it's absolutely fresh. Our dog was with us too. We sat outside. They offered us the option of coming inside and letting the dog in, of course. But we were happy sitting outside. I once ordered baked feta cheese, unbreaded, for our dog *chuckle*. And sure enough, the young man brought it to us on a cardboard plate. I'd told him he wouldn't eat it off your dishes, of course! I always bring travel bowls with me. But nope, I didn't even need them. The young man was so kind and brought it on a cardboard plate himself. That was really great and top-notch. That was the moment I truly loved it there! Absolutely pet-friendly! The farewell at the end was also very warm and friendly. A young woman also helped us clear the table, etc. She was very nice too. But the biggest praise really goes to the young man this evening. With employees like him, you're definitely in a very good position these days, and it makes you want to come back again and again. All in all, the service was absolutely perfect, and the price, value, and quality were top-notch! Thank you!

We highly recommend the curling event combined with the winter menu! It's a great time, and the meal afterwards is truly excellent!

The Seekrug is an absolute haven for me 🥰 I've been coming here for decades and have never been disappointed. The many events, perfectly planned and executed, are particularly appealing. The Schulz family are wonderful, warm-hearted people who welcome their guests accordingly. 5 stars and 👍

Simply THE place for Pickert! There's nowhere better!

A very nice restaurant. Unfortunately, the food wasn't 100%, but the wonderful waitress more than made up for it!

As a repeat customer, I'm always delighted. Dogs welcome.

I booked a table for three people for 1:00 PM on November 5th, 2025. The drink order was taken quickly, and the food arrived after 15 minutes. The food order arrived 20 minutes later. This delivery was significantly delayed, as the young woman was busy outside and had to attend to other guests. The three pork medallions from the menu were served in a metal tray. Cutting the meat was nearly impossible because: - the knife was completely blunt (it was replaced with the comment, "We don't have any others," and we were told to try this one). - a steak knife eventually appeared in the kitchen after I complained. - the meat was completely overcooked; a hard, dark, almost black crust was burnt onto all three pieces. Furthermore, it wasn't cut properly, making it very stringy and practically inedible! ...`` `` `` `` `` `` `` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` We complained about this order because our guest, an elderly lady, was unable to cut and chew the meat, something that had never been a problem for her on numerous other occasions/dish visits (including various steakhouses!). The employee returned from the kitchen after 5 minutes, and nothing had visibly changed with the pork medallions. The kitchen's response: the meat was top quality and tender. They offered to pack the meal up for her to take home and would now deliver soup as a substitute?! So, the lady could save herself the trouble of chewing!!! This is a discriminatory assumption and quite an outrage – we were all speechless. It wasn't just about chewing, but about cutting, which was nearly impossible. The completely overcooked meat with its overcooked crust was then painstakingly cut into small pieces by me using a steak knife, which I now had on hand, on a plate from the second course. The lady was then able to slowly and with difficulty eat these tough, hard pieces of meat along with the now completely cold side dishes. Paying the bill was delayed again (20 minutes) because the waitress couldn't be found. This will be the last time we plan and book lunch at the Seekrug, traveling all the way from Hamburg to visit the elderly lady.

The Pickert is super delicious.

Great that there is something like this on the Obersee

Great place, very friendly service, delicious vegan dishes. We'll definitely be back.

This is where you'll find the world's largest Pickert buffet. Unfortunately, it's only offered at irregular intervals, so it's best to check in advance to see when the next one is scheduled. There are various variations of Pickert, including Pickert Pizza, Pickert Slices, and Pickert Flatbread. You can also have a Pickert freshly prepared with the ingredients of your choice. The service is super friendly, and we really enjoyed it here. We'll definitely be back. There are also other events, such as the Schnitzel Casino. We might try that sometime. You roll the dice to determine the price you pay for the schnitzel. That's sure to be fun.

Every few years, the place gets another chance, but nothing changes. Great location. Food: Some of the worst Bielefeld has to offer. Service staff: Bottom of the barrel I just ordered a Helles (light beer). Helles is a type of beer. They didn't have it. They then randomly poured me a wheat beer and then looked at me wide-eyed when I refused. Then the highlight. They tried to blame their mistake on me. The menu says "Weizen-Hell". Regardless of the fact that that means nothing, because I didn't order a wheat beer, but a Helles (light beer), which are two different things, and it was also a lie, because the menu says "König Ludwig Hell". I didn't get a refund, but instead was offered a Kristallweizen (crystalline wheat beer), which I hadn't ordered or wanted. I then returned the beer to the gentlemen and paid in full. They didn't even give me the euro deposit. That's not just desolate, but criminal on the part of the staff.

We were there on a beautiful summer day with a couple of friends. It's a lovely location with a large beer garden. Very cozy. Unfortunately, we didn't eat in the restaurant, but just had a Manta platter in the self-service area. At €9, it wasn't exactly cheap. The soft drinks, at €3.60, were in line with what you'd pay elsewhere. At least everything was fresh and nothing was too salty. The service is mostly self-service (as I said, we didn't go into the restaurant, where there is, of course, waitress service). The people in the kiosk and at the stalls were very friendly, though. All in all, I would recommend the Seekrug without hesitation. Everything is relaxed and well-prepared for larger crowds. If we go back, we'll try the restaurant and I can update this review.

For my milestone birthday, I chose the Remise at the Seekrug on Lake Obersee as the location. Since my guests (approximately 50 people) had very different schedules and some had a long journey, it was an all-day event from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Starting with a sparkling wine and juice reception in front of the Remise in the sun, followed by an extensive Pickert breakfast buffet with other delicacies, we enjoyed dishes from the à la carte menu, savory snacks from the bratwurst station, and delicious ice cream or cake of our own choosing throughout the day. Without exception, all of our guests were thrilled with the location, the delicious food, and the friendly service – a special mention must go to "our waitress, Male," who looked after us in a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner throughout the day. Many thanks to Male for that! And the bill was absolutely reasonable and very good value for money. This certainly won't be the last time I celebrate at the Seekrug.

I always enjoy being here, enjoying a Hefepickert beer and a delicious beer. Maybe even a quick round of mini golf.

Very tasty food and good service. However, I find €9.60 for a slice of cake and a large cappuccino a bit pricey.

All in all, a good place to eat and relax. We enjoyed the food and the service was excellent!

We held our company summer party there in July 2025. The communication beforehand was super friendly, the packages were flexible to book, the food selection was perfect, and even special requests were accommodated. Everyone who played mini golf or beach volleyball was thrilled. The chillers among us more than enjoyed the afternoon at Düne13. Everything was prepared perfectly to our liking. The service was also very attentive and friendly. On behalf of the entire team, I would like to thank the Seekrug and Düne13 teams for the smooth running and their great support, including afterward in solving a small problem. We'll keep an eye on the upcoming winter program there for a Christmas party. Highly recommended for company and family celebrations, not to mention that it's also a wonderful place for private events. Thank you very much!

Unfortunately, a truly unfortunate discussion arose today regarding my 15-year-old daughter's birthday. Just about a week and a half ago, we celebrated my niece's birthday with a large cake we "brought along." We ate and drank there, no problem. Today, almost the same thing happened with a small cake we "brought along" for a 15-year-old. Surprisingly, the consumption of cakes brought along was no longer permitted today, even though we had booked again for a birthday. Drinks and food were ordered on site, so of course, the revenue was guaranteed for the alleged owner, who started arguing so much that we thought, wow, what kind of service they've had these days. As a married couple, we really enjoyed going there with friends for something to eat and drink, but we won't do it again from now on. It's a shame it even had to come to this. It's a shame about the answer you gave. We're definitely not lying. What you don't understand is the lack of service or why there have been negative reviews lately? Keep it up...

We waited for over three hours, only to suddenly be accused of disrespect – which is simply not true. Even when we politely asked why, no one could explain why we weren't allowed to use the vehicles. Instead, we were told in a very unprofessional tone that we were "being a pain in the ass." The Obernsee itself is truly beautiful and perfect for jogging, walking, or just relaxing. But as for the Seekrug, I unfortunately can't recommend anyone do anything there or expect friendly service.

Beach volleyball is a lot of fun there! Great location! The food, especially the Pickert, is also highly recommended.

I wanted to go for a walk and ordered a delicious strawberry shake to go. It tasted really good. The woman behind the counter was super friendly and quick.

I personally like it a lot. Especially Dune 13 with its beach volleyball court and Caribbean flair. The food and drinks are good. They also serve various types of Pickert beer. The owners are very friendly and dedicated. Whether it's a company outing or just stopping by after work to enjoy a beer, it's simply pleasant and relaxing.

Beautiful location, average food. Why, for example, arugula on Caesar salad? The croutons from Pickert weren't crispy, but rather mushy and cold. The kitchen could use an update. The chef likes to slosh around with balsamic vinegar from a tube, which isn't very original. But it's a nice beer garden...

Highly recommended! I celebrated my birthday at the Stübchen (Stübchen). The service and food (lunch menu, cake) were excellent, and all requests were met without any complications. The facilities are also very suitable for children (mini golf, kett car, disc golf in the park, etc.). We had a lovely day at the Seekrug.

June 2025 Beautifully located excursion destination close to the Obersee lake on the outskirts of Bielefeld. Plenty of outdoor seating. Numerous stalls selling drinks, food, ice cream, etc. Mostly self-service. Reasonable prices.

Great restaurant in an idyllic location

A really nice restaurant with good food. The service was quick and friendly. This was my fifth visit. Unfortunately, there are no parking spaces directly at the restaurant. On the other hand, it's really nice to stroll through the park and then stop for a break at the restaurant.

Excursion destination for young and old on Lake Obersee. Lots of visitors and, despite many guests, a very friendly and helpful staff. Delicious selection of cakes.

The Seekrug is an absolute feel-good place with its diverse range of offerings and the brilliant location directly on Lake Obersee. A restaurant, a coach house, a large beer garden with a beach area, outdoor dining, a well-kept mini golf course, bicycle parking spaces with a repair station, clean toilets, a cheerful, friendly staff and courteous service... There is absolutely nothing to complain about here. A large cake buffet, great Pickert dishes and a food truck round off the restaurant's gastronomic offerings. The Seekrug always has great event offers both in winter and summer. Hut parties, pub quizzes etc. We come here very often with groups using an activity app and have always felt very comfortable! Outside the Seekrug there are great walks around the beautiful Obersee, or a round on the adjacent disc golf course (you can also get Frisbees for this at the Seekrug). Whether after work or on the weekend, I can warmly recommend this location

A little over a week ago, in the sunshine, we sat down in the beer garden in the morning after a little walk around Lake Obersee with our furry friends. We were initially attracted by the waffles, but we were too early for them because they are only served from 12 p.m. Without further ado, we chose pieces of two different cakes: 1x cherry almond and 1x blueberry pudding. Both pieces were large and very, very tasty! The service was open, friendly, helpful (if you had any questions), unobtrusive and attentive. Happy to try something new when you get the chance!

Otherwise I was always very satisfied. Today the cheesecake was still half frozen. When asked, there was neither a correct answer nor an apology or an offer to take another piece of cake. I probably won't eat cake here anymore because A) it's not fresh and B) if I want ice cream I'll buy one.

The sea jug itself is a nice thing, but the prices are really steep. But fries and bratwurst taste good too :) The mini golf course really needs to be restored. Unfortunately everything is crooked and crooked.

We were there on March 8th. there and took advantage of the great weather in the beer garden. Since we sat further out you have to order something for yourself. You get a beeper and when the food is ready you get it. Completely understandable given such a large area. Food was tasty and reasonably priced. Parking was a bit of a hit and miss as we were there around 11am. After that it fills up quickly and you have to take another distant parking lot. Of course you can also do this with a walk. Parking is free 👍

Wow! I’m in shock. My 6 year old daughter was super thirsty (and I hadn’t brought my wallet) so she asked the staff at the Seekrug for a glass of tap water and she was sent away unless she would pay 2.5€. Insane. Congratulations Seekrug on the lowest you can reach as a business.

We celebrated our small wedding with 36 people in the coach house. From the advance communication with Ms. Kuhlmann and the compilation of the menu and planning of the day to the service on the day itself, everything was perfect! The coach house was beautifully furnished and the great fireplace and radiant heater meant it was nice and warm despite the cold outside. All special food requests were taken into account and the food was really delicious! The service was also great and our contact person on the day also took care of the further cutting and distribution of the wedding cake. I can highly recommend the Seekrug and would celebrate here again and again! Thank you again!

We spontaneously had dinner here today. Very very nice service. The food was very tasty and came quickly. Special requests were addressed without any problems.
