Better not to expect too much: fries, mayo and bratwurst were really bad. I can't rate other dishes, but I won't try anything there again. Rooms very rustic. Staff could be friendlier. Ideal for a cycling break in summer with cold drinks and friends.

The Seekrug on Obersee in Bielefeld is an absolute insider tip for anyone who wants to enjoy good food in a fantastic environment. The café and restaurant not only impresses with its diverse menu, but also with its wonderful location right on the lake. Whether after a walk or as the destination of an excursion - the Seekrug is always worth a visit. The selection of dishes and cakes leaves nothing to be desired. From hearty classics like bratwurst and schnitzel dishes to regional specialties like Westphalian Pickert, there is something for every taste. The fresh, crisp salads are also a great option for those who prefer something lighter. The quality of the dishes is consistently excellent - everything is freshly prepared and lovingly served. A special highlight is the terrace with its wonderful view of Lake Obersee. Here you can enjoy the view in a relaxed atmosphere while treating yourself to a cup of coffee and a piece of cake. When the weather is good, it is particularly nice to sit outside and watch the sunset over the lake. There is also a lot for children to discover here. Several Kettcars are available to whiz around. The new ADAC bicycle repair station is also exemplary. The service at Seekrug is also first-class - friendly, attentive and always striving to make the guests' stay as pleasant as possible. All in all, Seekrug offers a perfect mix of delicious food, great ambience and warm service. Highly recommended!

Beautiful half-timbered house. New operation. Prices are a little higher but the food is also freshly prepared and very tasty. The portions are large.

Hardly or very difficult to reach with a wheelchair because of the thick cobblestones. The food was OK (I still don't know what the cold, cheap BBQ sauce on the roast beef was supposed to be... The waitresses were very nice and accommodating. (Note: The thing about the cobblestones was only intended as a reference for future visits by wheelchair users and not as a criticism)

I spontaneously decided to take a break here today when I read on maps that there was a sweet potato and ginger soup. Please note that the menu is currently not up to date on Google Maps. To be on the safe side, please check the Seekrug's new website. My alternative choice of red lentil soup with coconut was incredibly delicious! Despite the large number of customers, the service was very quick and extremely cheerful. The toilet was very clean and equipped with toilet seat disinfectant. I really enjoyed it here and would definitely come back!

Delicious food and a great ambience. We would have liked to have stayed longer, there was a wedding starting at 3 p.m. and all the best to the bride and groom.

We were here when it was very quiet. Good coffee and delicious rhubarb pie. Very friendly service. The only downside is the not so fresh smelling toilets.

Was here 4 times this year. The first three times it was good value for money, today it was a complete disaster. Fries anything but fresh and not enough compared to usual, lemonades weak in content because ingredients were missing (statement of service) and mint leaves wilted or worse. I understand the move when it's not in season but I'm not willing to bear the price. I also don't understand why the "driveway" has to be so bumpy. There's no fun in it, no matter how you get there.

Beautifully located by the lake. Lots of different ways to get food and drink. And for ice cream lovers also delicious ice cream scoops. The food was very tasty. The service was super nice and attentive.

I can't comment on the food because we didn't eat anything. But the surrounding area with mini golf, Kettcar offers and the reservoir itself is definitely worth it.

We are always here to play volleyball, during breaks you can get drinks at Düne 13 and then you can get something to eat here at Seekrug. There is something for every palate here, for us there are always fries and currywurst at a stall in front of the Seekrug. Highly recommended in any weather!

We won't be coming back. “The Seekrug” is a moderately serious catastrophe. We ordered a fries, the card said €3.50, but suddenly it said €3.90 on the card machine. The employee was unfriendly, no hello, no please/thank you. We sat down, unfortunately our table was cleared but sticky. Later we ordered a coffee, it was inedible... the table next door had left 4 half-full glasses, so it was clear to us why 😂 So sorry, but it just doesn't taste good. We wanted to eat something else, so we ordered the cucumber salad together. What an unappetizing “food”. Thin slices of cucumber in yogurt with a piece of bread? How come you offer this for €7.90? Especially if the card doesn't suggest that you get such a bowl (see photos). (Addendum) I forgot to mention the beach bar/the “beach”. That was actually nicely done, even if €5.90 for a non-alcoholic beer borders on cheeky. You could have stayed there longer. Now we come to the hygiene deficiencies. The woman who later worked at the chip shop wore blue gloves the whole time. Prepared food with it, spent money, rubbed her nose, drank from her bottle... the tray on which we got our fries was smeared all over with ketchup or something. The Asian noodles that were available today were fried in a wok, but were first transferred from a plastic container that had been used for another purpose. It doesn't have to be that way... Since the owner also seems to make rude comments here, I'm looking forward to it. It's great that you've been around for 30 years. Glad you think your food is delicious. We just didn't like it and that's not an appropriate response to criticism. Prices were sometimes excessive, even for the location, and sometimes too cheap. Fries €3.90, latte €4.20, yogurt-cucumber mix €7.90 and baked potato with quark €12.90 - huh? All in all, we probably won't come back.

I'll put up with that 😎 Only 3 stars because: ATTENTION: The unmown high lawn is a tick deterrent and will keep me away from there in the future. Both hefty prices should include mowing. Unfortunately, savings are being made incorrectly here 😪

The ambience is nice but not something to stay in for a long time (chairs are very uncomfortable), prices are also very steep. The wasp infestation is also very annoying, even if you can't help it.

Right on the Obersee, there is a beach bar next to it. It is open every day without a break. Prices are ok, although €5.90 is pretty decent for a non-alcoholic drink. It is well attended, especially by cyclists.

Unfortunately, we were no longer able to test the service and food that day at 8:45 p.m....

I like it when the really good staff know the food and drinks on offer, can make recommendations and are attentive. Special wishes? No problem! A great outdoor area with nice guests. Of course, thumbs up for the delicious food.

There is always a lot going on at Seekrug and when the weather is nice you rarely get a seat outside at the café. Since we were there a little later, the cake was already at the bistro, the cake was ok, but there was no real cream there.

Nice beer garden, not so crowded, especially during the week, and very important, there's Almdudler here 🇦🇹

I like the Beach Club best. But also the restaurant, the many types of cake, especially rhubarb cake 😋 and the french fries stall. There are treats for everyone and ice cream for dessert😋. Extremely delicious.

So in general - the staff doesn't seem to know friendliness, but they do ask for tips. The toilet facilities are an imposition - you can't imagine what it looks like in the areas that you can't see. Many people don't seem to know that the french fries and pizza shops are part of the Seekrug. Fries are not recommended: fries that have already been fried and cooled are briefly put AGAIN in the oil in front of the guest and carelessly slapped onto a paper plate. So you pay for disgusting, at least twice fried, lukewarm fries!

The service is tried hard but unfortunately there are long waiting times. Unfortunately the food didn't taste good. Ready-made veggie petties that were dry and the sauce was inedible.

Beautiful location in a convenient location for a short break on a bike tour in the Bielefeld area. Staff friendly, food delicious. The only downside was the rather hefty price of €5.90 for half a beer.

We were there on Sunday. Self-service is the order of the day. Wheat .....11.80 € Bratwurst.....3.90 € with 1/2 toast (not really hot) Fries €3.90......Mayonnaise or ketchup extra bowl €1. Do you have to decide for yourself whether it's worth it!?

A very nice excursion destination in Bielefeld/OWL, where you can unwind for a while. In Seekrug you can also indulge in a variety of dishes and it is also very easy to reach for people with physical disabilities.

A beer 5.90... but everything else is crispy? It's nice there (hence the second star) but the prices are outrageous considering you have to walk half an hour from the parking lot. Toilet costs too. I'm very disappointed, at least the prices used to be fair.

After 2 hours of waiting (sic!) there was food of good canteen quality. So good that you could still burp from the mushroom cream sauce 3 hours later.

We were here for the Easter fire, it's right on the lake, beach volleyball and therefore a "large sandpit", no climbing frames or children's playground. Kettcar rental for that! Playground is right next door! Food is at snack level (bratwurst and fries), self-service. The restaurant offers higher quality food and service.

I was there for Pickert breakfast. The thick yeast picker was delicious, the rag picker is not my taste. The entrance is barrier-free. There is a barrier-free toilet outside. The employees are nice and friendly.

Arrived there quite late on 3/20/24. We asked if we could get something to eat and eat in peace. Of course we didn't want to ruin people's evenings. The young man was super nice and said "yes, everything's fine, no problem". 2nd had the Oberseeplatte. And there was definitely enough for 2. In the end we even had some packed up because there was so much. So the price is absolutely right!! Huge portions. So it's not expensive at all. Quality top! Freshly prepared. Not like TK and canned stuff elsewhere these days. No, absolutely fresh here. Our dog was there too. We sat outside. We were offered to come in and of course that the dog was allowed to come with us. But we were happy outside. I once ordered baked unbreaded feta for our dog *smile*. And the young man actually arrived with it on a cardboard plate. Since I said he obviously won't eat it from your dishes! I also always have travel bowls with me. Nope, I didn't even need it. The young man was so great and brought it on a cardboard plate himself. That was really great and top. At least now it was a bomb for me there! Absolutely animal friendly! At the end the farewell was also very warm and nice. A young lady also helped us with clearing up etc. in between. She was also very nice. But the greatest praise really goes to the young man this evening. With such employees you are definitely in a very good position these days and it makes you very happy to come back. All in all, service absolutely perfect, price performance and quality top! Thanks

I am stunned at how little the Seekruges management values ​​the firm, written reservation promise to their customers. Namely NOTHING! About 6 months ago I received a written confirmation for a dance event in the König Ludwig beer garden. At that time I asked for a room for the event. Since none were available, I was suggested the König Ludwig beer garden. Before and until today there have been several telephone calls and correspondence about the details of the planned event. Of course, I immediately started organizing and sent out the invitation. And now, almost a week after our last conversation, the management suddenly withdraws their commitment with the flimsy justification that the residents would complain if music was played in the beer garden and that the dance floor was unstable and couldn't be danced on! WHAT???!!!!😱 The event should take place during the day from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. - not in the evening. There are actually always benches and tables on the floor where guests should sit. If the floor is so unstable, nothing should stand on it, let alone guests sit on it. This will certainly no longer be the case by May 2024. --------------------------- What kind of behavior is this towards customers? It's a shame that I HAVE to give it 1 star to write a review.

The sea jug is simply fantastic! I had the pleasure of visiting there recently with friends and I was impressed by the warm atmosphere, excellent service and of course the delicious food. The ambience is charming and inviting, perfect for a relaxing break with friends or family. The menu offers a diverse selection of dishes, all freshly prepared and presented with great attention to detail. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, which made my visit even more enjoyable. I can only recommend the Seekrug and look forward to visiting again soon. A real gem in Bielefeld!
