The decor is somewhat simple, but cozy nonetheless. Paying around €43 for a Coke, water, an appetizer, and a mixed plate is absolutely fair – especially considering the quality offered. I had shrimp saganaki as a starter and a mixed plate with gyro, lamb chop, souvlaki, and unfilled bifteki. Everything tasted excellent, served piping hot, and not at all dry – which is unfortunately not always the case with Greek restaurants. The service was friendly, attentive, and very quick. The small welcome from the kitchen for dessert was particularly positive – a really nice gesture. The food arrived quickly, and although it was completely empty at 7 p.m., the restaurant gradually filled up, creating a pleasant atmosphere. Overall, I was completely satisfied on my first visit – for a training course in the area. Only the decor doesn't quite match the typical Greek style, but otherwise, I highly recommend it!

The cult Greek restaurant in Lorch is a cozy restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. A very positive aspect: You get a small, truly delicious Greek salad beforehand – a nice start to the evening. The main courses were good and tasty, but not too large. If you're really hungry, you probably won't be completely satisfied here or will have to order appetizers as well. To finish, there's a nice touch of a piece of "Kalter Hund" (cold dog) for dessert, and of course, the obligatory ouzo is not missing. One small negative point: Drinks are only served in 0.2-liter containers – that's rather unusual in restaurants these days. Furthermore, debit card payments weren't possible at the time of our visit, which resulted in an unplanned walk to the nearest ATM. All in all, a pleasant restaurant with good food and friendly service. For us, four stars are absolutely fitting.

A super cute little Greek restaurant. Friendly owner, super delicious food at reasonable prices. They always serve a small, delicious salad to start with and a small bite of dessert. We go there often. They even gave us a flower for Mother's Day.

We went there for dinner with our young children. We hadn't booked in yet. We received a friendly welcome, and a high chair was provided for the youngest. The waiter overheard us explaining to the children that there were no fries, as they weren't on the menu. We ordered a children's menu for both of us, and it came with fries! The children beamed with joy, and the evening was saved. Simply fantastic! The food was also excellent and very harmonious. After dinner, we were offered an ozono and a small dessert on the house. I've rarely experienced such a great all-round package of family-friendliness, attentive service, and delicious food!

We stumbled upon this iconic Greek restaurant by chance today after hiking. The staff was very friendly, and the food was excellent. Even though EC card payments weren't possible due to construction work, everything was perfect.

This was one of the best Greek restaurants I’ve ever bin in, honestly! The food was extremely tasty, meat was well prepared and the vegetables for the greek salad could not have been more fresh. We ordered the classic Gyro, but in edition to that the owner Vassili was kind enough to treat us with the restaurant specials on the house! Great guy and very professional! We went straight from the Waldhausen swimming lake to this Greek restaurant online. It was delicious, and the gyro was a dream with amazing eggplant cream and tzatziki. We'll be back, that's for sure! Great terrace on the Rems River and perfect for families with a playground 🥂😋😉🙋 The owner served us delicious ouzo at the end, everyone was so friendly, just like in Greece ♥️

Yesterday we went to the cult Greek restaurant in Lorch for the first time and were pleasantly surprised. Due to a construction site, the outside area seemed a bit chaotic at first - but the great food and service made up for it. No Greek I know has such a delicious grilled salmon with grilled vegetables! The ambience is not what you would expect from most Greeks (no kitish statues etc) but is modern and stylish. We'll definitely be back!

As always, we were all very satisfied during our numerous visits: quality meat along with tasty side dishes - and at a fair price. Our favorite: The 'Chefplatte'. As a surprise, a sweet dessert and a generous amount of ouzo were delivered to the house. A real asset for Lorch!

We went without a reservation and received a friendly welcome. There were two of us, and we had an appetizer platter for one person and then the chef's platter for two. The price/performance ratio was excellent! We also received a good wine recommendation (red). We did have to wait a bit for our dishes, but the temperature was like it had just come off the grill/stove/etc. – excellent! We were very impressed and will be coming back more often. 😇

On a cold winter day, the restaurant is very chilly. Regarding the dishes: The vegetarian dish was well-cooked and delicious. But the gyro wasn't freshly grilled and wasn't crispy at all. It tasted like it had been yesterday, and it was rather lukewarm and cooled down quickly. The staff was very positive. Very attentive and friendly.

As a family of four, we had a wonderful evening. Vasili gave us a warm welcome and gave us excellent advice before we ordered. The gyros came fresh off the spit, which makes a huge difference when you're familiar with Greek cuisine. Our appetizer platter was superbly selected, with something for everyone. All drinks came from glass bottles, and the cutlery was very high-quality (WMF). As a final highlight, we were given homemade cake and ouzo by him. Vasili attaches great importance to quality, and he and his team want their guests to feel comfortable and at ease. He understands the culinary arts. We highly recommend it, and we'll be back soon. I spontaneously stopped by for dinner with my family. The name suggested a quaint and authentic Greek establishment. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case; the ambiance was more reminiscent of a train station concourse. The only things that were Greek here were the napkins and the Acropolis in the background of the menu. The welcome wasn't very warm, but not unfriendly. The service team consisted of two people, although one of them didn't really contribute much. On a positive note, our order was taken quite quickly. Now, however, we encountered the first minor problems. First, one of the beer menu items was out of stock, and second, soft drinks are unfortunately only available in 0.25l for €3.50, which isn't exactly cheap. Immediately after the drinks, the appetizer salads arrived. These were truly authentic Greek and very tasty. There were two minor things that bothered us. First, the size, as the salads could have been a bit larger. Secondly, in my opinion, balsamic vinegar has no place in Greek cuisine, and it doesn't need it either. Now for the main courses. They were all convincing in terms of taste. The souvlaki deserves special mention; it's often tough in other Greek restaurants. Here, however, it was as tender as butter with lovely roasted aromas. However, one point of criticism is the portion size in relation to the price. At a price of over €18, I think you could expect two souvlaki skewers instead of a small one, as well as a bit more rice and potato slices. The latter, in particular, shouldn't detract from the profit, as it costs practically nothing. What bothered us most, however, was that we were practically forgotten after the main courses were served. No one even asked if everything was okay or if we wanted anything else. So it took a very long time before we could finally pay. All in all, the restaurant's taste is upper middle class, but the service and ambience unfortunately take their toll. Therefore, we won't be coming back.

Unfortunately the price/performance ratio isn't right at all, we've eaten much better! Souvlaki was greasy and gyros not crispy. Poor salad and the worst thing, not even 1 ouzo at the end! But decide for yourself!

The location is very beautiful on the outside very close to the Rems where there is also a playground. Attention: Small children must not be left unsupervised as the playground is directly facing the Rems and has no fence. Positive, Menu and selection is as expected in a Greek restaurant. The food is good, meat is very well prepared. Service friendly. Negative, Price-performance ratio is too high in my opinion. Unfortunately no fresh herbs. The rice is/had nothing to do with Greek cuisine, neither visually nor taste-wise. Our visit to the restaurant was on Thursday at 4:00 p.m., there were various drinks missing "we didn't run out, we'll be back next week" so that's very strange, especially that they didn't just run out but we already knew about it earlier and on On Thursday at 4 p.m. all the beverage stores and shops in Lorch are open, absolutely no understanding of this.

We were there with 12 people (including children). Service: The service was okay, we had to wait a relatively long time for drinks to order, but they were delivered quickly even when we reordered. Eat: The potato slices were great, the rice was good. But the meat wasn't that good, coarsely cut gyros that also had a lot of fattier pieces and the skewer was just average for me. The lamb was rather too cooked and had a bit of mutton. The tzatziki was good. Ambience: The restaurant is in a great location on the Remsterassen and you can sit outside with a small public playground next to it. As a treat, there was a small cake on the house for dessert.

After the circular route over the Schelmenklinge, we were spontaneously looking for a restaurant nearby and came across the cult Greek restaurant. The restaurant is in a very quiet location on the Rems and next to a playground. The food was very tasty and the quantity was optimal. The young boss and his employees were really very friendly and quick. At the end there was ice cream for the children and a dessert for the parents on the house. All in all, a very pleasant evening and highly recommended. We'd love to stop by again when we're in the area again.

An incredibly great place. We were there spontaneously, 4 adults, 4 children. Tables were put together for us immediately. The service was excellent, the food was damn tasty. Great selection, very good taste. Located right next to a park with a playground, perfect for families. We'll go there again when we're in the area!

Very nice and professional, they also give tips about dishes. Calamares well done, fried. At the end of the meal a sweet and the ouzo is offered, which after all is not diluted like in many other places. Bravi!

Das Ambiente ist nicht typisch griechisch. Das Essen war lecker und frisch. Die Kartoffeln waren teilweise sehr salzig, aber insgesamt gut. Der Weg zu den WCs war dunkel und Licht ging erst in der Toilette an.

Leider war um 21:15 Uhr keine Möglichkeit mehr kurz was zu trinken. Schade!

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und bedient vom Chef. War überrascht über das moderne gemütliche Ambiente. Das Essen kam zeitnah. Ein Vorspeisenteller mit sehr viel verschiedenen Leckereien. Das Gyros mit Calamaris und Beilagen hat der gut geschmeckt genauso wie der gebackene Feta mit Beilagen. Mit einem Ouzo und einem kleinen Kokosküchlein vom Haus wurde der Abend perfekt abgerundet. Preis -Leistung passt. Es gibt einen großen Aussenbereich für die warme Jahreszeit . Macht weiter so, wir kommen wieder.

Sehr gutes Restaurant mit leckerem Essen und sehr freundlicher Bedienung

Was an diesen Lokal "Kult" sein soll, hat sich mir an diesen Abend nicht erschlossen. Ich habe ein recht unproffesssionell geführtes Restaurant erleben müssen. Beginnt damit das man an einen schlecht besuchten Abend die ersten Getränke schlicht weg vergessen hat. Auf Nachfrage wurden sie nach dem Vorspeisensalat gebracht. Anschließemd mußte man sich eine ewigdauernden Diskussion mit einem anderen Gast anhören da es keine vorgeschriebene Registrierkasse gibt und man mit Block und Stift einen Bewirtungsbeleg ausstellen mußte. Der Weg zur Toilette führte über einen unbeleuchteten Hof und Licht ging erst an als man einer der beiden Toiletten betrat. Bis dahin stand man absolut im Dunklen. Nun zum Essen, Salat war recht gut, allerdingswar das Gyros ziemlich trocken und wenig gewürzt. Was mich aber am meisten ärgert ist hier eine Antwort auf die Ressesion eines Gastes, in der man sie anschuldigt absichtlich eine schlechte Bewertung zu schreiben oder gar in einen anderen Lokal gewesen zu sein weil ihre Gäste immer!!!! zufrieden seien. Diese Überheblichkeit sollte man aufgrund der unproffessionellen Führung doch mal überdenken und eine Kritik als Grund dazu nutzen was zu ändern, anstatt Kritiken als falsch darzustellen.

Essen war wirklich einwandfrei. Uns war es etwas zu kalt, weil der Vorhang im Eingangsbereich nicht genutzt worden ist. Es hat die ganze Zeit gezogen. Service war super bemüht, aber nach einem Jahr hätte ich etwas mehr Souveränität erwartet.

Das Essen war sehr gut und auch der Service ist freundlich und sehr nett, wir wurden sehr gut versorgt. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Wirklich toll. Ein altes Gebäude neu renoviert, riesige wunderschöne Rundbogenfenster und eine dezente, moderne Einrichtung verleiht eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre. Das Essen war super, nichts auszusetzen. Meine Begleitungen meinten, Gyros sei nicht ganz die Stärke. Zum Abschluss gabs eine nette kleine Überraschung. Preise sind hoch aber irgendwie muss sich das ganze auch bezahlen lassen. Mein einziger Mangel war, dass es etwas gezogen hat, Türen wurden odt geöffnet und es wurde erst mit dem Ouzo schön warm. Ich empfehle dieses Restaurant!

Wir haben bereits vor einem Monat Vorort Gerichte abgeholt und haben uns nun dazu entschieden das Restaurant erneut zu besuchen, dieses mal haben wir dort gegessen. Das Essen war, wie bereits bei der Abholung, sehr gut und ausreichend. Zusätzlich sind die Preise top und das Personal und der Chef selber sehr um das Kundenwohl bemüht, gerne wieder!

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Hier gibt es als Beispiel gemischter Teller mit Gyros, Suflaki und Calamaris oder vegetarisch Mediterane Gemüsepfanne. Tisch haben wir auch ohne Reservierung bekommen. Aber es ist sinnvoll, vorher anzurufen.

Super Lokal! Wurden sehr nett bedient. Es ist eine offene Küche in die man Einsicht hat. Leider war das Gyros etwas kalt und trocken. Wurde aber durch die herrlichen Calamari kompensiert. Absolutes Highlight ist das Bifteki! Unbedingt probieren! Bifteki ist wieder am start

Das Essen war wirklich gut und lecker. Das Preis-/ Leistungsverhältnis ist angemessen. Wir wollten gerne draußen sitzen, war leider alles reserviert, aber auch innen sitzt man sehr gemütlich. Getränke und Essen kamen recht schnell. Der Innenhof ist schön, was wirklich verwundert ist, dass der nicht genutzt wird. Service war stets bemüht, anfangs etwas gestresst aber nach einer gewissen Zeit lief es dann auch wieder.

Wir waren zwei Mal dort. Beide Male war das Essen ziemlich versalzen. Der Vorspeisenteller war auch eher Mittelklasse für den Preis. Die Dolmadakia sehen aus und schmecken genau wie aus der Dose vom Supermarkt, dafür muss ich nicht zum Griechen gehen... Echt schade, weil der Kellner sehr bemüht und aufmerksam war und die Lage im Schatten mit dem Spielplatz perfekt für Familien. Aber wenn's Essen nicht schmeckt, bringt das alles nichts... Wir starten bestimmt irgendwann Mal einen dritten Versuch, aber bis dahin geben wir nur 3 Sterne.

Ja, es stimmt. Man kann immer noch nicht mit Karte zahlen. Da hilft nur der Gang zum 350 Meter entfernten Geldautomaten. Die Salatsauce fand ich zu scharf, was bei mir sehr selten ist. Grosse Portion, nettes Personal. Der Vorspeisenteller ist super.

Das Essen im Kult-Griechen war nicht nur sehr lecker, sondern auch von hoher Qualität. Die Speisekarte bot eine breite Auswahl an authentischen griechischen Gerichten, die meinen Geschmackssinn in den siebten Himmel beförderten. Von traditionellen Gyros- und Souvlaki-Gerichten bis hin zu köstlichen Meeresfrüchte-Spezialitäten – hier war für jeden etwas dabei. Besonders beeindruckend war die Frische der Zutaten und die Liebe zum Detail, die in jedem Gericht spürbar waren. Die Aromen waren perfekt abgestimmt, und die Portionen waren großzügig bemessen. Ich hatte das Vergnügen, das Moussaka zu probieren, und es war schlichtweg göttlich. Die Kombination aus geschmolzenem Käse, zartem Hackfleisch und cremiger Bechamelsauce war einfach unwiderstehlich. Auch der Service im Kult-Griechen war vorbildlich. Das Personal war freundlich, aufmerksam und stets bemüht, den Gästen einen angenehmen Aufenthalt zu ermöglichen. Die Atmosphäre im Restaurant war gemütlich und einladend, und ich fühlte mich sofort wohl. Ein weiterer Pluspunkt des Kult-Griechen ist das gute Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Die Qualität der Speisen steht in einem sehr fairen Verhältnis zu den Preisen, was das Restaurant zu einer attraktiven Wahl für ein entspanntes Abendessen macht. Insgesamt kann ich den Kult-Griechen in Lorch wärmstens empfehlen. Wer auf der Suche nach einem authentischen kulinarischen Erlebnis ist, wird hier definitiv nicht enttäuscht. Die köstlichen Gerichte, der erstklassige Service und die angenehme Atmosphäre machen den Besuch zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis. Ich freue mich schon auf meinen nächsten Besuch im Kult-Griechen!

Just stayed in Lorch for one night a d our Host gave us this great tip to try the „new Greek in town“. I’m glad we followed this advice, nice atmosphere, but more important high quality food, extremely good service and a really friendly owner!
