Der Holzofen in Bergheim

Wir waren heute im Holzofen und wurden leider enttäuscht. Der kleine Innenhof ist wirklich schön und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Das Essen war solide, hier hat Würze gefehlt. Aber der Service konnte uns leider überhaupt nicht überzeugen. Obwohl leere Gläser und Flaschen gut sichtbar auf dem Tisch standen, wurde nicht ein einziges Mal gefragt, ob wir noch etwas trinken möchten. Leeres Geschirr und Flaschen wurden ebenfalls nicht abgeräumt. Erst nach mehrmaligem Nachfragen bekamen wir neue Getränke. Besonders enttäuschend war, dass selbst auf eine Getränkebestellung von der Chefin keinerlei Reaktion kam. Eine Servicekraft wirkte sehr lässig und wenig aufmerksam, was den Eindruck vermittelte, dass der Service keine große Priorität hatte. Dabei war der Innenhof nur etwa zur Hälfte besetzt, und im Innenbereich war gar nichts los. Trotzdem schien der Service völlig überfordert oder unaufmerksam, obwohl drei Servicekräfte im Einsatz waren. Schade, denn das Ambiente ist wirklich schön. Mit einem aufmerksamen und freundlichen Service hätte der Besuch deutlich angenehmer sein können.

Unser Lieblingsrestaurant in Bergheim! Die Pizzen sind klasse und alles andere auch. Im Biergarten waren wir noch nicht, dieser sieht aber sehr ansprechend aus. Die Räumlichkeiten sind klein, fein und gemütlich. Man sollte auf jeden Fall reservieren.

Nachdem am Vortag der Aussenbereich durch ein Gewitter verwüstet wurde, war am Folgetag alles wieder tip top. Es ist schön am Bach zu sitzen. Das Personal ist freundlich und versucht alles um die Wünsche zu erfüllen. Gerne wider

Ein wunderbares Restaurant mit herausragendem Service und phantastischem Essen

Ich habe heute telefonisch einen Salat und eine Pizza bestellt. 20 Min später mit 10Min Wartezeit abgeholt. Bei der Abholung hat mir der Inhaber zu verstehen gegeben, wenn man nicht mit Bargeld bezahlt sondern immer nur mit Karte, dann hätte ich halt wegen der Wartezeit Pech gehabt. Meine Ansprache an den Chef, dass er auch mal freundlicher war, sagte er nur: ich solle hier mal 30Min arbeiten, dann würde ich es verstehen. Hat sich umgedreht und ist gegangen. Der Service & die provokante Unfreundlichkeit von dem Inhaber sind nicht akzeptabel. Es war meine letzte Bestellung. Übrigens: die Pizza wurde vollständig bezahlt, es fehlte wiedermal der Schinken. Zu dem war die Pizza kalt. Die Preise eine Hotels, der Service der nicht mal einer Pommesbude gleicht.

Super gemütlich hier. Das Ambiente mit dem Holzofen im Hintergrund ist was Besonderes. Wirklich toller Service und lecker Essen.

Wir waren gestern als kleine Gruppe spontan dort und wurden herzlich empfangen. Wir mussten ein kleinen wenig warten, da es ein kleines aber schönes Restaurant ist. Das Essen war fantastisch und der Service war einfach grandios. Von Anfang bis Ende einfach war alles super.

Netter kleiner Italiener. Dir Speisen waren lecker, das Preis-Leistungsverhältniss war absolut in Ordnung, der Service aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Lokal als Räumlichkeit ist leider etwas klein, aber dafür können die Betreiber ja nichts. Im Gegenteil, sie haben mE alles aus der Fläche rausgeholt was geht! Das Ambiente war auch in Ordnung. Ich bzw wir werden sicherlich gerne wiederkommen! 👍 PS: es werden hauptsächlich Pizzen angeboten, aber auch einige Pastagerichte und Salate. Auf der Tageskarte gab es aber dann auch andere Speisen wie zB Kartoffelaufläufe, Arrancinies (?, fritierte Reisbällchen) usw. Einige der Speisen waren auch Vegetarisch (vegan?) erhältlich.

Ein tolles Restaurant zum Abendessen. Die Pizza ist wirklich unglaublich lecker; ich habe alles probiert und kann sie uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Von den Salaten kann ich das allerdings nicht behaupten; sie sind sehr trocken, haben zu wenig Soße und die Avocado ist manchmal grün und hart.

Vorzügliches Essen in bester Qualität. Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Die Außenterrasse hat ein mediterranes Flair. Sehr gute Weinauswahl

Wir waren gestern Abend dort und sind wirklich sehr zufrieden nach Hause gegangen. Schon beim Reinkommen fühlt man sich direkt wohl – warmes Licht, entspannte Atmosphäre und dieser Duft aus der Küche, der sofort Lust auf mehr macht. Als Vorspeise hatte ich Bruschetta. Das Brot war schön knusprig geröstet, darauf fruchtige Tomaten, gutes Olivenöl und frischer Rucola, der dem Ganzen eine angenehm würzige Note gegeben hat. Einfach, aber richtig gut gemacht – ohne viel Schnickschnack. Danach gab es Pizza aus dem Holzofen – und das schmeckt man. Der Teig war locker und dünn, genau wie ich es mag. Es gab keinen dicken, trockenen Rand, sondern die Pizza war schön gleichmäßig belegt und bis zum Schluss richtig gut zu essen. Genau so stelle ich mir eine gute italienische Pizza vor. Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Insgesamt ein sehr gelungener Abend. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

6/5 Sterne – unser absoluter Lieblingsitaliener in der Region Wir kommen seit fast zwei Jahren regelmäßig mit Freunden in den Holzofen in Bergheim und sind jedes Mal aufs Neue begeistert. Ein kleines, aber wirklich sehr feines italienisches Restaurant mit einem beeindruckenden Ofen, der mit Buchenholz befeuert wird – und das schmeckt man. Für uns ganz klar: mit Abstand die beste Pizza weit und breit. Ausschließlich frische, hochwertige Zutaten, perfekt gebacken, großartig abgestimmt. Ein besonderes Detail, das wir lieben: Bei jeder Pizza kann man das Finish selbst wählen – entweder Knoblauchöl oder Chiliöl. Das macht den letzten Unterschied und passt einfach super zum Konzept. Wir haben von der Karte inzwischen fast alles probiert und waren wirklich durchgängig begeistert – konstant hohe Qualität und echter Genuss. Egal ob gemischte Vorspeisenplatte, Suppe, Pizza, Pasta, Hühnchen oder Nachtisch: Es ist alles richtig lecker und zudem immer toll angerichtet. Die Fotos sprechen für sich ;). Dazu kommt ein extrem freundliches, herzliches und sehr aufmerksames Team. Der Inhaber Afschin lebt Gastfreundschaft: Er begrüßt jeden Gast wertschätzend, ist spürbar dankbar für jeden Besuch und sorgt dafür, dass man sich jederzeit willkommen fühlt. Neben der ansprechenden Speisekarte gibt es außerdem eine abwechslungsreiche, saisonale Wochenkarte. Auch die Weinauswahl ist richtig stark – tolle Weine und ein Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, das man heute nicht mehr oft findet. Im Sommer sitzt man in einem wunderschönen Garten direkt an der Erft – tolles Ambiente, richtiges Urlaubsfeeling. Wir freuen uns jedes Mal, wenn wir wieder dort sind. Absolute Empfehlung!

Tolles Essen, super leckere Pizza und ausschließlich frische Zutaten. Gerade die Pizza aus demHolzofen ist der Hammer. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne oder bestellen auch gerne was zum abholen. Service ist hervorragend. Immer nett und zuvorkommend. Klare Weiterempfehlung!

It's so very disappointing what an embarrassing comment I had to listen to today. I forgot my water bottle on the table and didn't drink from it, and the woman with glasses made a very rude and disrespectful comment. She said we weren't at a train station. I was really angry because she was so impolite and could have said it differently. Such racist treatment is truly humiliating because it's so far removed from humanity, and everyone should receive respect, regardless of culture or religion. She should learn some manners first, and then maybe serve customers. That would be advisable for this woman, who desperately needs a crash course in respect and decency. My companion and I are very disappointed and hope that she changes her ways and reflects on her absolutely appalling behavior.

We booked as a large group and had to wait up to two hours for our food... and then the pizza was just mediocre in taste.

A small and absolutely charming restaurant. Here, the art of pizza making is still paramount. Fresh ingredients, freshly prepared pizza dough – and the highlight – the pizza oven itself! A small vaulted oven where wood-fired logs still burn to bake the pizzas! The pizza creations themselves are also quite unique. The service is very attentive, and I've never had to wait long for my food. Reserving a table in advance is highly recommended!

All the food is delicious, and the owner and staff are very friendly. By far our favorite pizzeria! It's difficult to get a seat without a reservation, but takeout is also available.

After a long bike ride, we were looking for a place for four people. Friday evening for four people? One phone call and we found one. Great weather, outside with live music. The music was really good and went very well with our food. All in all, a really lovely evening. Highly recommended!

The Italian restaurant is truly excellent. The atmosphere is very pleasant and inviting. The staff is friendly and very hospitable. The food is fresh, delicious, and perfectly prepared. Everything—from the dishes to the service and the atmosphere—is simply fantastic.

The pizza was quite good, but nothing special and definitely underseasoned. However, the prices were quite high. Unfortunately, the service was rather inattentive – after we'd finished eating 30 minutes ago and still no one had noticed us, we went to the counter to pay. Unfortunately, the place is incredibly loud, so it's not a comfortable place to sit.

We ate at the wood-fired oven for the first time last week after receiving several recommendations from friends. Our waitress, Karina, recommended wine, the wood-fired pizza, and the summer salad with prawns. The food was absolutely delicious! We'd love to come back and try the tiramisu!

We spontaneously went to the sauna and found this place online... Please go there and enjoy! Everything was just right here: the price, the service, the quality, the friendliness of the staff, and the ambiance.

A truly cozy, family-run Italian restaurant. The menu mainly features pizzas, but they're truly delicious and crispy. The chili oil served with them is a dream. The restaurant is small but perfectly formed, and the outdoor area is a lovely place to linger.

The pizzas are very tasty and the selection is good; everyone should find something they like here. A wide selection of pasta and antipasti is also offered. The desserts are also worth a look during a visit. Atmosphere: small and cozy, rather quiet even on busier evenings. Since the last price adjustment, the drinks have become very expensive, or rather more expensive with fewer contents. Example: Coke Zero / Fanta etc. Old price 0.3l: €3.30 New price + new size 0.2l: €3.90. In my opinion, that's just one screw too many... a total increase of ~77%. All in all, I'm always happy to come back, but I'll just come less often in the future.

The wood-fired oven is a tiny little pizzeria. Very cramped and you can usually only get space if you have reserved. But the pizzas are actually the best I've ever eaten. The base is thin and crispy, the topping is wonderfully seasoned. Since there is no delivery service there, we get a pizza there (from Oberaussen) a few times a year in the evening. The Pizza Bruscetta is our absolute favorite and we haven't had it anywhere else. Yummy!

The pizza was delicious as always, a bit expensive, especially the drinks (1 glass of water €3.30). There was no greeting from the kitchen in advance, as usual. The boss decides who receives this, we were told. Ah, good to know. We were always happy to travel 30 km because of the delicious pizza, but we are now thinking carefully about it in advance.

I wanted to go out to dinner with my girlfriend for Valentine's Day evening. However, before Valentine's Day, based on countless recommendations, I made a reservation and called two weeks early. As with every reservation, I said that I wanted to reserve a table for two people for a specific time in my name and after a short "Okay, all clear." then hung up and looked forward to my table for Valentine's Day. When I wanted to surprise my girlfriend that evening, I was there and no one from the staff knew about my reservation...no one had written it down and so we didn't have a table, even though I called. As a solution, the owner probably suggested that I sit at a free table for about an hour. But when the waitress noticed this, she made sure we couldn't get the table. Probably because it would be too much stress for them to serve us for just an hour. I'm definitely not going there again. What's the point of calling if you're not written down and you're sent away afterwards? And for Valentine's Day...really outrageous.

We love using the wood stove often. The pizzas, salads, wines and pasta dishes are all great. And then the antipasti and desserts! We find the day/season ticket very appealing and the seats inside and outside have a pleasant, cozy atmosphere. We are also happy to pick up the pizza, unfortunately there is no delivery service. Big shout-out to the owners, you always get a nice nightcap if you sit long enough and feel like chatting. Just a great restaurant, keep it up!

Yesterday I was in this small, inconspicuous restaurant from the outside for the first time and I was completely thrilled! Sitting with a view of the wood stove is super rustic and very well maintained. The service is attentive and the pizza is crispy and extremely tasty. I would have just liked a little more artichoke, but that's irrelevant as everything else was perfect. I will come back with my family and recommend the restaurant. :)

Went there for the first time today with my husband. The service completely forgot to take our order. The starter (pizza bread) was also forgotten. As a gesture of goodwill, they might have offered a few pizza rolls on the house, but none of that happened. If you want to encourage guests to come back, you should think about it. Nonetheless, the pizzas were great.

We happened to be here today and got the last table in the small dining room that was free until the next reservation, which was ok for us because we wanted to drive home afterwards. Super friendly service, excellent antipasti, the small pizzas afterwards were also good very good.

Extremely tasty, nice atmosphere and great concept: Clear focus on very good pizza plus a few selected pasta dishes and desserts, plus a nice selection of wine and other drinks. Gladly again at any time!

I had pizza bread as a starter, which was too dry for me personally. The others' pizza looked good. The pizza base was more reminiscent of a tarte flambée dough. It was definitely juicier due to the generous topping. I had baked spinach which was also good.

The food is good, a little more expensive, but very tasty. Unfortunately, the quality of service is lacking here. Drinks wouldn't be served, we got our first meal 1 hour and 20 minutes after arrival, which isn't possible. Second round arrived 50 minutes after ordering. Big flying problem. In the end, the food is very tasty, but the waiting times are not at all.

Price-performance ratio is not right at all

We recently dined at Der Holzofen restaurant and unfortunately our experience was disappointing. The service left a lot to be desired and the food, while ok, was definitely not worth the money. The dough was tasteless and some dishes were forgotten. There was no real excuse, the forgotten dishes were simply not charged for. Sitting outside was generally nice, but we were plagued by flies. A simple fly scarer would have made the evening much more pleasant. All in all, unfortunately it wasn't a good evening.

We stopped in for a quick dinner for no other reason than it was 5min off the motorway and served pizza. Very glad we chose this restaurant, lovely staff, nice atmosphere (we ate on the patio), and most importantly - delicious food. Sorry we had to rush off. Hope to be back for the tiramisu!

I've been enjoying eating in the wood-fired oven for several years now. The pizza 🍕 is nice and thin and crispy. My favorite salad delicious with tuna and white beans. 😋 It used to be dressed with potato dressing, now with mayonnaise. The staff is always super friendly and I feel very comfortable there. Especially because it is a very small restaurant. 🥰🙏🏻

This evening I was eating there with my colleague, the terrace was full, 50 people, the food was great and the waitress, the blonde, did her job very well, alone on the terrace, she had everything in view, she had served everyone, no one was missing anything, everyone was missing I'm a waiter myself, but I haven't seen anything this good, fast and friendly in a long time, haven't seen it in NRW, fast friendly 👍 your boss can be lucky to have such a great waitress friendly we'll be back
