We ate here again after a long time and were actually really looking forward to the delicious food we had earlier. But what awaited us was just bad. Unqualified service who didn't have an overview. 1 1/2 hour wait for food! Unappetizing side salad that had probably been ready-made in the kitchen all day, waiting to finally be served. Main course carelessly slapped onto the plate. Quantity instead of quality!!!! Fries over-fried.......Sorry but that's not my idea of ​​a nice evening with friends want to spend some “tasty” food. It's a shame that this once so delicious Greek has become so slack.

Very hearty Greek dishes. Great selection on the menu. Be careful with the portion size. The beans and cheese croquettes in the photo are supposed to be an appetizer 😄 You will definitely be full. By the way, the cheese croquettes are to die for! The grill plate was solid. All in all, recommended.

Ordered to pick up after a long time. The portion was huge, but unfortunately that was the only thing we noticed positively. Salt and spices in general were used very sparingly. The gyros were swimming in fat. (used to be well seasoned and crispy) the rice was ok, unfortunately prepared with canned vegetables, the potato chips were soggy. I would like more quality rather than quantity when it comes to food and the prices would then be appropriate. It's a shame, we used to enjoy eating there.

There were five of us and we ordered different dishes. The food was okay but the service was subpar. It felt like the drinks only came after the meal. Even after we remembered, it still took forever. As is usually the case with Greeks, there was no ouzo served before or after.

The ambience is quite nice, despite being right on a main street, it's quite quiet inside. Sitting outside is also nice. And now the main part: Basically, first of all...the portions are large...the fries that were there were unfortunately fried to death, although I have to say that the frying oil was probably no longer fresh, which was evident from the color and taste of the fries! The gyro meat was swimming in a puddle of fat which didn't improve the taste. The meat tastes different than expected, not like what I'm used to in many other Greek restaurants. Unfortunately, I find it disappointing. Salt is largely saved, whether in the fries, rice or the side salad, a certain spice is completely missing. In the side salad there was a quarter-sized tomato in one piece, not cut into bite-sized pieces. There are canned vegetables in the rice and canned mushrooms in the other dishes... unfortunately the quality and taste falls by the wayside. There is still a lot of room for improvement. You shouldn't skimp on fresh ingredients!! Unfortunately, I don't really understand the other reviews regarding the taste and quality. We have now tested it once and definitely not again... on a Sunday afternoon the shop was almost empty... when I look at the other restaurants in the area, the place is on fire!!! In the future we will prefer other locations again!

Food was delicious, as always with Greeks, very large portions. I think it's too big, most people had leftovers packed up. Tsaziki would be great with the main course, but is only standard on the salad. When I go out to eat, I want to finish it in the restaurant and not take leftovers home. There is a very pleasant family atmosphere and the employees are very, very friendly.

We have been regular customers for over 20 years and still know the restaurant from Heidenau. Now the son has taken over the restaurant. Unfortunately, the warmth and customer orientation has been lost. The food is still good. But you don't have to allow yourself to be insulted and treated condescendingly. And then tips are REQUIRED! It's a shame when your parents' life's work is thrown to the wall like that.

The fries are fried to death. Still water is served on the table in a disposable plastic bottle. Origin not traceable. If you want to order something else, you have to forcefully get the staff's attention, even though there were only a few guests present. After we waited about 15 minutes for our ordered drinks, the pasta straw had already started to soften. The tzatziki is amazing! Nevertheless, not in this form again 🤷‍♀️

Went to the Greek restaurant for the first time since Corona, unfortunately the quality has deteriorated considerably over time and the prices have been raised considerably.

Wir sind schon seit über 25 Jahren Stammkunden und kennen den Griechen schon aus der Zeit als er noch in Heidenau war. Nun hat der Sohn das Restaurant übernommen und damit geht die Herzlichkeit und der gastfreundliche Service verloren. Leider jetzt nicht das erste Mal passiert. Das Essen ist nach wie vor gut und reichlich. Doch der Umgang mit Gästen ist arrogant und herablassend. Schade, dass das Lebenswerk der Eltern so an die Wand gefahren wird.

Good morning, Friends invited me to dinner at this restaurant. I was a little hungry so we each ordered appetizers to go with the lamb plate. Almost a mistake. Calamari and baked eggplant are very tasty. The lamb and of course Giros are sensational. The atmosphere is friendly and bright and the service is very good. A nice evening. I would love to have a Greek like that in our village. Oh well, I didn't manage to make fries.

What I don't understand from the other reviews is that there is hardly anything written about the quality of the food. Price-performance goes like this. Canned vegetables in rice are a real downer. Salad had hardly any dressing. Food didn't come at the same time and the wrong drink didn't come at the same time. Unfortunately there was no Uzo. The service was friendly but seemed slightly overwhelmed. At the other table, the guests packed all their own leftovers!? I would have preferred a smaller portion with fresh vegetables. Ich war mit meinem Bruder dort essen. Tolles Essen, schneller Service, große Portionen. Super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Vorspeise-Hauptspeise-extra Zaziki-großes Getränk für 34 Euro. Dazu gab es frisches Brot mit Knoblauchdip und einen Beilagensalat. Am nächsten Tag gab es den Rest zu Hause . Alles super

Angekommen setzten wir uns außen an einen freien Tisch unter den riesigen Sonnenschirmen. Ups, nasser Hintern weil die Polster noch nass waren vom letzten Regen.- Nach 30 Minuten Wartezeit ging ich an die Bar und fragte, ob mal jemand unsere Bestellung aufnehmen könne. Nach weiteren 5 Minuten kam eine desinteressierte Dame und legte die Speisekarte auf unseren Tisch, ohne nach einem evtl. Getränk vorweg zu fragen...nach 50 Minuten stand das bestellte Essen auf dem Tisch, nachdem wir schon eine Stornierung der Bestellung kundgetan hatten. Kein von früher gewohntes Weißbrot mit Aioli und die Unfreundlichkeit der Bedienung, die hauptsächlich mit Fensterputzen beschäftigt war führten zu unserem Entschluss, die relativ weite Autofahrt nach Tostedt zum Leckeren Essen bei "Der Grieche" zukünftig nicht mehr anzutreten. Trinkgeld gab's natürlich NICHT.

Das Essen war wie immer auf höchsten Niveau. Was man nicht erwarten darf, überschwingliche Freundschaft. Man hat immer irgendwie das Gefühl, man müsse sich dafür entschuldigen, dass man hier Essen bestellt.

Sehr gute Küche,mehr als reichliche Portionen und sehr aufmerksame Bedienung.Heute mal was zum abholen bestellt,sehr viel leckeres Essen und das beim Mittagstisch in der extra Karte (Montags bis Freitags) die etwas günstiger ist als das normale Menü.Sehr gern wieder.Nur zu empfehlen.

De eerste dag van de vakantie. We wilden naar de Griek. Nou, gevonden. We zijn begonnen met een voorgerecht voor 2 personen. Erg lekker; vooral de in het deeg gefrituurde aubergine. Heerlijk! Daarna ook een hoofdgerecht; bijna teveel van het goede! De bifteki hebben wij nog nooit zo groot meegemaakt. Prima Griek.

Das Essen zum Mitnehmen reicht immer für 2 Tage, auch nach dem Aufwärmen schmeckt das Essen noch gut. Große Auswahl und gutes Preisleistungsverhältnis

Die Portionen sind riesig und es schmeckt auch, aber sehr ölig und fettig. Wenn man das Fleisch zuhause nochmal erwärmt, riecht es leider sehr unangenehm. Eher Quantität statt Qualität.

An meinem Geburtstag hatte ich mich für Griechisch entschieden, die Wahl fiel auf unseren zweitliebsten Griechen, der in Tostedt. Um 18.30 Uhr hatten wir einen Tisch reserviert, zunächst wurde dieser desinfiziert, dann konnten wir bestellen, unsere Wahl fiel auf 1x Gyros und Kalamaris und 1 x Gyros und Hacksteak, Jeweils mit Kartoffel Chips, Reis und Tzatziki. Dazu einmal extra Tzatziki. Sowie ein Bier und ein Alster. Dazu gab es Salat und ein super leckeres Brot mit Dipp als Vorspeise aus der Küche. Die Wartezeit hielt sich in Grenzen und das Essen war super lecker, zum Abschluss gab es Ouzo. Die Corona Registrierung wurde hier übrigens über QR Code und eine gesicherte Website gelöst. Wir wurden freundlich darauf hingewiesen das doch zu tun. Alternativ gab es Zettel und Stift. Kurzum, der Service, Essen, Ambiente passten einfach.

Ich kenne den Griechen schon sehr lange. Damals waren wir schon oft in Heidenau bei dem Griechen essen. Das Essen ist an sich in Ordnung. Leider gibt es oft Missverständnisse, da einfach schluderig gearbeitet wird. Es wird nicht richtig zugehört und dadurch ein Essen gebracht, welches gar nicht bestellt wurde. Wenn man es zum selbstabholen bestellt, ist es sehr ärgerlich. Außerdem hatte ich beim letzten Mal eine große Diskussion mit dem Personal, da ich telefonisch Essen bestellt habe und mir die Preise aus der Homepage gezogen haben. Leider wurden hier die Preise seit 10 Jahren nicht aktualisiert. Dadurch entstand eine Differenz von gut 8 Euro. Leider hatte ich das Geld passend, mit etwas Trinkgeld, mitgenommen. Der Umgang mit dieser Situation, welche meines Erachtens vom Griechen verursacht ist, war unfassbar schlecht. Mir wurde der Eindruck vermittelt, dass ich derjenige bin, der etwas falsch gemacht hat, da ich keinen Papier Flyer von denen hatte sondern auf die Homepage geschaut habe. Sorry, aber das geht nicht!!

Ich komme hier seit vielen Jahren zum Mittagstisch und nehme die Kalamaris. Wie sonst auch, war das Essen auch diese Woche sehr gut. Unangenehm fand ich, dass der junge Kellner die sehr nette weibliche Bedienung in Hörweite angeraunzt hat. So etwas ist nicht gut und unschön. Sonst war es top.

Riesige Portionen, lecker zubereitet. Das Gyros sehr saftig, auch die Fleischspieße perfekt zubereitet. Der Service ist schnell und kompetent. Tolles Lokal!

Wir hatten am Sonntag mal wieder Lust auf Griechisch. Obwohl wir nicht reserviert hatten wurde uns schnell ein Tisch zugewiesen. Das bestellen ging schnell, das Personal ist auf zack. Unser Essen war sehr gut angerichtet und wie immer reichlich. Grillteller einmal Gyros mit Leber und einmal Gyros mit Hacksteak, dazu Kartoffelchips. Der Salat war ebenfalls lecker. Personal sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Danke für einen schönen Abend

Angenehmer Aufenthalt mit sehr freundlichem Service ! Auch sollte der Außer-Haus-Service erwähnt werden, diese Portionen sind unschlagbar groß. Sehr schmackhaft !Negativ muß man erwähnen, dass sich die Speisekarte in den letzten Jahren weder verändert noch erweitert hat...sehr schade. Auch vermisse ich einige sehr traditionelle Gerichte.

Selten so schlecht gegessen. Der Salat hatte braune Stellen und der Krautsalat war miserabel. Beim Hauptgericht war jegliches Gemüse aus der Dose oder Glas. Insgesamt bekam man den Eindruck, dass die Zutaten so billig wie möglich zusammen gestellt wurden. Nie wieder!

Das war einer der besten Besuche bei einem Griechen seit Monaten. Das Essen war sehr schnell am Tisch. Reichhaltige Portion und alles super lecker. Das Gyros ist genau so wie es sein soll. Biergarten und überdachte Terrasse sind sehr gemütlich. Professionelles Personal und die Preise sind absolut angemessen. Wir kommen wieder Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir gehen sehr gern dort essen. Die Bedienung ist sehr aufmerksam und die Küche versteht ihr Handwerk.
