A surprisingly good restaurant. Down to earth, solid food but service was great! It's been a long time since I've experienced such attentive service, who really thinks about everything, sees everything and always subtly asks if everything is okay.

We had dinner here with 4 people on Saturday. The staff, when they are at the table, are very friendly, the young man is quite quiet and difficult to understand. There's the problem, at the beginning we were shown to the table, from then on no one came past, after almost 30 minutes we drew attention to ourselves by waving wildly so that we could finally order. Drinks came quite quickly. Food took about 30 minutes, which is fine. We enjoyed it, except for the tarte flambée, which unfortunately arrived cold. It was probably in the issue for a while before it was removed by the service. The starter we ordered came with the main course. After eating, it felt like it took an eternity until someone came to clear the table. Nobody even came and asked if we would like something else to drink. We had the impression that the service, even though the restaurant was not full, was absolutely overwhelmed and disorganized. That's a shame because it completely destroys the good impression you get from the ambience/view and food etc. I know it's still very difficult to get staff at the moment, but you're destroying your reputation, so it's better to let fewer people in and provide good service. In the dessert menu, the terminology is sometimes wildly mixed up; normal milk ice cream is listed as sorbet, which is absolutely wrong and misleading - especially for people with allergies/intolerances. Unfortunately there are a lot of negative points, so we won't be eating here again in the near future.

Great food, very nice service. We were there for our anniversary, unfortunately we were seated at the table with another couple despite having a reservation (both tables maybe 50cm apart) So it seemed a bit uncomfortable, otherwise there was a super nice waitress who was unfortunately assigned to the entire room alone. Therefore there were longer waiting times. Otherwise the food was very nicely prepared, lots of it and very tasty. We'll be back, but hopefully at a different table.

The price-performance ratio for the Christmas Day brunch was terribly bad. The area where you could tap juices and water was constantly wet from the tapped drinks. Glasses were always missing there. The breakfast buffet was inadequately refreshed and restocked. Lunch, meat, vegetables and pasta was already cold at 1 p.m. and perhaps that's why it simply tasted bad. We usually had to clear away the dirty plates ourselves. For a price of 34.50 we would have expected much more.

I wouldn't even give a star for the food or service. We had reserved a table for 6 people. Less than a third of the tables were occupied, but it still took 40 minutes to get the drinks. The meal took almost an hour and a half, 4 times the schnitzel was gratinated, 1 time pork fillet with fried potatoes and salad, and another dish. Everything had to be seasoned, the pork fillet was unfortunately dry, it didn't taste good at all, the champion cream sauce tasted like everything but champions. The schnitzels were so flat and thin, they were more like breaded schnitzels. It also didn't taste good at all. Then you had to wait and wave for someone to come and order drinks - but there was no normal Jägermeister, no Jack Daniels or the cocktail Solero, even though everything was on the clear menu. What worked very well, however, were the staff's smoking breaks; we had all hoped for more, as the atmosphere was very promising. We definitely won't come back.

I've been a guest there several times. The service is now absolutely great! We were served very attentively and friendly. The restaurant and the view are beautiful both during the day and in the dark. Absolute recommendation!

We had the pleasure of visiting the guest and it was truly a wonderful experience from start to finish. Ambiance: As soon as you enter the restaurant you are greeted by a warm, inviting ambience. The furnishings are tasteful and modern, with loving details that create a cozy atmosphere. We particularly liked the harmonious lighting, which perfectly sets the scene for the room. Service: The service was absolutely first class. The team was not only attentive and friendly, but also incredibly professional. Our server Tim was courteous, patiently answering all of our questions about the menu and giving us great recommendations. We were impressed by how quickly and efficiently everything happened without us ever feeling rushed. Eat: The highlight of the evening was of course the food. We ordered the crust and every bite was delicious. The ingredients were fresh and of the highest quality, and the presentation of the dishes was almost too beautiful to eat. We were particularly impressed by the homemade sauce. The portion sizes were also perfect – filling but not overwhelming. Value for money: The prices are absolutely reasonable for the quality offered. You can tell that a lot of attention is paid to details and craftsmanship. It was worth every penny. Special moment: A special highlight was definitely the view of the city.

A great restaurant that is run with heart, is very lovingly furnished and has very, very courteous staff. Plus, the food tastes great! I've been there for brunch, coffee and dinner. A place where I really enjoy staying! Only recommended!!

Very cozy, but we had to wait a long time for the food. The food was very tasty.

Unfortunately we had to wait 2 hours for the food (it was full but 2 hours is outrageous) and then the "pepper sauce" for the schnitzel is so fatty and runny and more like balsamic dressing. The baked potatoes were extremely small and the Thai curry tasted like the original one from the cardboard boxes at the gas station. The service was great and the beer tasted good in a nice atmosphere, but unfortunately that didn't make up for the negative point of the food. It's a shame for the price level.

Unfortunately I can't judge the food because after 1 hour and 40 minutes we still didn't get anything. When asked, they said there were so many Christmas parties with pre-ordered food. However, you could see cards lying on the table almost throughout the Atze Schröder restaurant! Actually we just wanted something to eat before the performance, but nothing came of it! Too bad

The atmosphere is really nice, the staff is friendly, but unfortunately the younger ones aren't quite up to speed yet. We still had a lot of bread left after dinner and we couldn't even look as quickly as the half-full dips were taken away from us. Even after a comment that we would have liked to keep the dips for the bread, there was no response. An attentive waitress wouldn't have cleared it away in the first place, asked for it or, in this case, put a new dip right there. About the meal itself: three of us ordered a Caesar salad with topping. The salad was actually just green lettuce with some grated cheese and croutons.. No tomato, no pepper.. Nothing colored! The toppings were almost a joke for an additional €6: half a small fried avocado or 4/5 fried mushrooms for €6 each! I had a goat cheese gratin with salad and fries. That was great!

Very unfortunate. The store looks really nice but that’s it. We had reserved a table for 6 at 6 p.m. and were shown to the table and everything was fine there. It wasn't until 30 minutes later that we asked for drinks and appetizers, which came relatively quickly and we ordered the main course. However, we then had to wait a great 1.5 hours for the food, although we really didn't feel like we were in the shop. The food was so-so in terms of taste, I expected more from a €32 steak. We also had stomach problems very quickly, so we definitely won't be coming back again.

It was a very good breakfast buffet. Something for everyone! The countries were thought of, there was an extra buffet table with a chocolate fountain. And Santa Claus was there. Highly recommended!

Very nice atmosphere.. nice view. You feel like you're at home. The younger staff don't have too much of a personal relationship with customers. The older lady was a charming, friendly service person. I would definitely like to visit the restaurant there again.

Yesterday I was there with my father. But there was nothing at all to complain about. My steak with vegetables and truffle fries was how I like it. Tender, juicy and medium. My father's pot chicken was great. The service was excellent. Friendly and super fast even though it was very busy. That was different. But that was due to too few staff. That can happen. But this time 5 stars plus.

We were registered for a Sunday breakfast. 9 people. 80th birthday breakfast. The restaurant was poorly attended. As hosts, we asked in advance what the buffet included. It was very spartan. Not as lush as previously said. It was not refilled. Invoice was incorrect. After I called, I was told they would get in touch and sort out the matter. 1 week has passed since then. We are disappointed.

Unfortunately, when we reserved a table, we were not informed that we were only allowed to order one course at this time. The meat (poultry) of the burger was super fatty… the drink we ordered didn't come until the food was on the table. I think if you eat before 7 p.m., the restaurant can do something. So unfortunately it was a flop.

We had dinner here for my grandma's 85th birthday. Unfortunately we had to wait an hour for the drinks and then 1.5 hours for the food! The friendly waiter tried very hard and couldn't do much about it. There is obviously a lack of organization here. Maybe the boss should shine with more presence and spend less time in the DomRep.

We spent an evening in a very busy restaurant. There were two service staff here. The waiting time was accordingly. We waited 30 minutes for 2 beers and over 1.5 hours for our food (2 schnitzel dishes). Now about the food. My meal was OK, but with extra fries it was very overpriced at around 23 euros. My companion had a schnitzel with pepper sauce. The sauce had a very unpleasant taste. When we left the restaurant, the entire counter area was full of empty, unwashed glasses. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this guest.

Let's start with drinks. Mahito - sugar has not dissolved and remains on the teeth; even taking into account the fact that the sugar has not dissolved, it is still too sweet; There’s also a very clever decor - a skewer with marshmallows and marmalade 😂. Food. We ordered a steak for 36€. As a result, they brought us a steak with cartilage and fat. It was tough, so we had to saw it right on the spot. Not tasty. Snacks. French fries in truffle oil with grated parmesan and truffle. It's actually not that bad. Good flavor and good cheese. The truffle is delicious. That's all.

We'd love to come back. Good food, reasonable prices and good service.

Enjoyed a really nice view while eating, both of the food and the view. Great very friendly service. The food is worth the price, very tasty and good portions. Parking spaces are plentiful. Reservations should be made on weekends as it is already very full, even if there is plenty of seating. We'd love to come back when we're nearby.

Good morning, I rarely write reviews, but in this case I'm happy to make an exception. We were there at the weekend with two families and a large dog. And afterwards we were very impressed with this restaurant. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was very nice, everything was very clean, new and nicely decorated. Great panoramic view. But the best thing was the service: I haven't been served so friendly, warm and accommodating in a restaurant for a long time. The children received painting supplies immediately and without asking, and the children's concerns were fantastically addressed throughout the entire visit. Even the dog was provided with water and treats. Great. If we ever come to the area again, we would love to go there again.

Was there for breakfast for the first time. Great location and fresh breakfast. It is not overrun, so you can dine in a relaxed atmosphere in a quiet atmosphere 😊 we will come back.

Well, breakfast is available for a special price of €15.90... but the coffee is no longer included! ! ! We were totally surprised: €45 for 2 people!! The waitress acted completely clueless and there was no information in the brochures and advertisements. Other guests also looked out of the laundry in amazement. I think it's outrageous. Oh yes... you had to wait a long time for the coffee you ordered... and the buffet was partly... only refilled upon request...the selection went like this! Conclusion: We felt deceived For €45 I can create my own buffet!!

Unfortunately the evening wasn't as expected. We had to wait 2.25 hours for the food. A burger was ordered. The patty was raw. There was no response to the complaint in any way. The boss apologized. Unfortunately, the waitresses got frustrated, even though they couldn't do anything about it. We weren't the only guests to experience this that evening. Advertising is not everything. Sensible practice is worth more.

The Thai curry was delicious and the schnitzel was very good (like homemade). The sweet potato fries were also delicious. The prices are appropriate for the portion sizes. We would be happy to come back when we are nearby.

It wasn't the first and certainly not the last visit. So far, every dish has been very tasty and visually prepared with love. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating. Price-performance ratio still fits today. People like to eat there.

We were there on September 1st. for dinner in the guest house. It was wonderfully warm summer weather and we were able to sit on the terrace. The view over Attendorn is magnificent. The food was a culinary delight and what we found particularly outstanding was the friendliness and service of the staff. We would be happy to come back and recommend it to others.

Spontaneously flew into “der Gast” because we were on a short vacation in the Sauerland. Incredibly tasty, high quality food in really good portions. The service was great! We were there with our 10-year-old son and he was treated in a relaxed and fun way that was appropriate for his age - just like us! The restaurant is super cozy and lovingly furnished. There is also a small play area for children. I can only appeal: Anyone who is ever traveling in the Sauerland should definitely go there!

Were there on August 30th, 2024 with 7 people... The ambience inside and outside with the great view was just great... the drinks order could not be processed according to our wishes because some were no longer available even though they were advertised on the menu ( 4 out of 7) ...... for my schnitzel dish. The guest found the schnitzel a bit too dry and the cheese on top was just waste (just not nicely presented, there was just not enough cheese)...... as a side dish ordered rosemary potatoes and a small side salad ..... potato salad that was part of the schnitzel dish was simply exchanged for the rosemary potatoes without communicating this beforehand ..... with a citizen dish. The guest is still completely the citizen in the middle Was raw (gave a hot drink on the house as compensation) ..... with a cocktail there was only half a straw ..... when I asked for a new one it took a full half hour until a remedy was found These probably had to be taken care of first..... there was always a strong smell of feces on the terrace, this smell was reflected in the sanitary area (even though it was very clean)...... when leaving the restaurant This stench was also very noticeable .... despite everything, the service was always trying to be praised, but even though it was at the limit ..... with some improvements and communication, this company still deserves a second chance with a little distance.. .... Were there for breakfast today and had asked beforehand whether there was also vegan food and the answer was yes. Vegan then referred to jam, cucumber slices, tomato avocado and bread and rolls. The breakfast was too expensive for that.

We held our wedding dinner there on August 23rd, 2024. Starting with the absolutely flawless communication in advance, as well as the smooth process on the day itself, the guest is simply an absolute recommendation. The food, which was put together individually in advance and based on great advice, was very well received by all guests. We had a buffet created, which was really well prepared. A big compliment to the entire team, starting with Jonas, who organized everything really well, to the kitchen for the absolutely great food, to the service, who served the guests impeccably.

A sentence with an X, that was probably nothing... We wanted to spend our daughter's birthday here today and had reserved a table specifically for that. We were warmly welcomed and escorted to the table. And this is where the story ends. We were ignored for the next 30-35 minutes. We were skillfully ignored, waving, etc. didn't help, and the restaurant was only half full. We then left without a word. Nobody was interested in that either. We were very disappointed and angry, we (and especially the birthday child) were really looking forward to this evening. Luckily we spontaneously got a seat at another location and were served very nicely and quickly. So there is another way! We cannot and will not recommend the restaurant. One star is still too many.

Great inn, food was delicious, but the service from a slightly older lady today was the worst thing that has happened to me in years ⚠️ Ordered food with drinks in advance, after 20 minutes. I had to remind you of the drinks... arrived late again despite reminders. Situation in the restaurant was manageable without stressing a few guests. The follow-up order for food didn't come at all. Crazy, this person has no place in service. A young lady sorted out our dilemma as best she could. Thanks to this young woman.

I've been here a few times now and can highly recommend "the guest". The food was good, the service was authentic, quick and very friendly. The atmosphere is really nice and the cultural offerings are also highly recommended.

We were there for summer breakfast. Filter coffee was no longer included and there were no juices either. The rolls weren't from the bakery, and olives were also counted and there was no refilling. I didn't like it at all. Was very disappointed

The service was super courteous and attentive, but the food left a lot to be desired. The veggie burger was bland and the patty tasted burnt. The meat patty of the classic burger was also cooked through despite ordering "medium". The potatoes were very tasty. The dessert tasted good, but the crumble was far too hard. The view, however, is breathtaking and we found the measures against wasps excellent. Overall, a nice restaurant, but there is still room for improvement when it comes to the food.

Very nice location and good service. Unfortunately, deductions when it comes to food. We were there for the breakfast buffet and unfortunately the price-performance ratio didn't match at all.

You scared away two people today, we won't come again. The other guests were also visibly annoyed. I wanted to spend a nice evening there with my girlfriend today. But after an hour no one came to offer us drinks... we then left and left our money in another restaurant. Lack of staff or not... if you're not even able to offer your guests drinks after waiting an hour, it's better to leave the store.

Very nice atmosphere, but the service was the worst. First you are sat down at a table with absolutely no enthusiasm. Then after 15 minutes someone comes and asks in a completely unfriendly manner what was going on. When asked if you could get a Coke and a Diet Coke, you were told absolutely flippantly that you didn't have any more Diet Coke. After another 15 minutes there were still no drinks available, so we left. It was definitely the first and last time for us!

We had reserved a table for breakfast today. Unfortunately, no one was to be found on site. The restaurant had apparently closed for unknown reasons and we had to reschedule at short notice. A pity !

We visited the American Style Buffet a month ago. Offered from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. At 6:45 p.m. there were no more spar rips. Even after asking, nothing came. When it is advertised, you expect it to be there. The full price was still charged. Refilling other dishes was also slow. Service was very nice. Tip: Make reservations for the buffet in advance and don't just ask that evening whether you want to eat on a menu or buffet. Then you can plan accordingly.

To be honest: such a shame! It was our first time there and the view of the city at sunset is really great. Unfortunately the rest doesn't fit at all. My Krombacher Pils was not carbonated. The Moscow Mule was served in a glass. When I asked why no copper cups were used, I was told that they were just the messenger and that they didn't have any copper cups. I wonder why the drink is on the menu? The truffle fries for €7.90 should have black truffles according to the menu. When I asked where he was, the waiter went into the kitchen and only returned after half an eternity. Truffle was out and the fries would not be charged. That's a nice idea, but I would have liked to have had that hint beforehand. A couple The next table also didn't have any black truffles and didn't say anything. I was also allowed to pay in full. Overall, it was noticeable that many tables had complaints. The grilled mushrooms were no longer the freshest and above all they were fried and not grilled. The service was overall unfortunately very weak. Somehow the leadership was missing. Finally, it was noticed that all the plants outside were dry, which was kind of a shame. Conclusion: given the menu and the price level, I expect appropriate quality of food, drinks and service

I had the pleasure of being a guest yesterday and it was a great experience. When we arrived we were warmly greeted. The friendliness and professionalism immediately made a positive impression and it was like that the whole afternoon. The food was really good. Every dish was prepared with great care and everything was perfectly coordinated. The food was not only a highlight in terms of taste, but also a visual delight. The atmosphere was also pleasant and inviting and wow, the view especially. You can see everything on the terrace. The staff was also always attentive without being intrusive. Daniel deserves special praise for his hospitality and ability to make every guest feel welcome and valued. It's rare to experience service that is so authentic. In summary, I can say that my visit to Gast was an unforgettable experience thanks to the staff and the outstanding food. I'm already looking forward to my next visit and can highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Nice, new restaurant in Attendorn. Not quite central, but worth a visit. Great cuisine and nice, attentive staff. Decor tasteful. Whether as a couple or a larger group, tables are available. Price wise. .................... Yesterday, July 27th, 2024, the four of us visited the restaurant again. Reserved in advance. We have 1.5 hours!! waited for the food. Very poor communication why, why... A nice waitress was able to save the evening a little at the end. But it was disappointing.

Unfortunately it wasn't a good meal and it was way too expensive for the quality that was served. And then there were problems with the cash register for an entertainment receipt. Without words

We had booked a table for 7 women today! The service was super friendly and committed, and the view of Attendorn was very beautiful. Unfortunately, the potato pancakes were too salty (we hoped after the first portion that the subsequent delivery was fresher and not too salty) and could not be cut even with a knife. So our conclusion: The offer and the quality left a lot to be desired!

I've had problems eating twice in a row now. Once the soup was sour, then my Rumstesk was not medium rare but fried, and not tender either, rather the opposite. Baked potato with sour cream, which you only got in a small portion. Disappointing again for me. Ate with four people, but no one was really satisfied. For me that was it.

Had a table set up on Wednesday for 1:00 p.m. today. 12-14 people, table with a view over Attendorn. Called again on Friday and said the exact number of people was 14. All clear... No table was reserved for us today at 1 p.m. We came into the interior with a view of the entrance. It took a while until we ordered a drink and the food too. We paid at 3:30 p.m. It's a shame, such a nice restaurant. The food was ok... There was just a lack of quick staff.

First things first: the food, Thai curry, was really delicious... The cook mastered his craft!! The service is very friendly and attentive.. My praise for that!.. The ambience and the view are remarkable.. All in all, yesterday was a very nice and delicious evening.. Thank you very much for that.

Did not receive what was ordered. Fries were way too salty with small fried chunks at the bottom. Sauce was also very salty. Schnitzel was a piece of a Schnitzel. Disappointed us. View is beautiful.

Nice location, great view. Food and drinks but absolutely average commercial kitchen. Nothing special.

We were there on July 12, 2024 with 6 people from 7:30 p.m. T-bone steaks were out. I ordered rump steak with fries instead of baked potatoes and aioli. After waiting for over two hours (!), a rump steak with baked potatoes and no fries and no aioli arrived at 9:43 p.m. When I pointed out that that wasn't what I ordered, I was told that the fries would be added immediately. At 10:28 p.m. - all 6 people had finished eating - they asked if everything was ok. When pointed out that I never received my order in full, it was commented that the fries had "sunk". Since I didn't want to wait any longer after three hours in the restaurant, I canceled the fries. The staff apologized but offered no redress. So I still paid the full price for this attempt at hospitality (in my opinion, one cannot speak of a completely successful hospitality experience). Steak and vegetables were good, but my girlfriend's tarte flambée was barely warm. The quality of the food also seems to be a matter of luck.

Today we spontaneously decided to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary with you. I have to be honest. It was very delicious. We will be back definitely. Thank you for everything.

It was really nice at your place

Very nice restaurant, have been here several times. Now for the first time with children. It would be nice if the crayons were there and the pasta in tomato sauce was ringlet noodles 😅 it's easier for children under 6 years old ;) and maybe small glasses for little guests, not wine glasses. Prices were all reasonable. Waiting time too. The veggie burger is highly recommended 5 Stars

At the start of the holiday and to say goodbye to some students, we as class M1 had dinner at “Gast”. Collected student voices: The view of Attendorn was great! The food was very good and tasty! We ordered student menus (great idea!)! The service was super nice (thanks for the photo :)! It was very quiet while we ate and there was great music playing!

Very good food. Portions are a very good size. Very friendly, good-humoured staff. Unfortunately, we had to wait a long time for the main course despite having pre-ordered food.
