We were passing through Göppingen yesterday and decided on this restaurant based on the reviews. And we didn't regret it. Even though we didn't have a reservation, they still had a table for us in a cozy alcove. The service was very friendly and the food came quickly and tasted excellent. We also thought the prices were reasonable. If we lived there, the Andechser would definitely be our regular.

Service was a bit lackluster and unmotivated. The food was delicious, but the plates weren't preheated, so it quickly got cold. I guess that's to be expected for a €36 meal.

Good restaurant! I'd love to go back.

Very good food and good service. The prices, however, were quite steep. As a family with two children, we spent €100 each on two small drinks and four "regular meals" (no roast beef with onions). Where will this go from here? What elite group can/would still want to afford this? As a family, we won't be going out to eat any more any time soon, at least not in restaurants.

A great restaurant. The service was very friendly, and the food was excellent! The prices are quite high, but the quality seems top-notch. And if you order a dish from the lunch menu—like we did—the price is also reasonable ;-)

We visited my sister in Göppingen on July 19, 2025. She had reserved a table for three people at Andechser in Göppingen at 1:00 PM. Coming from Freiburg, we were really looking forward to Andechser and its good food. When we got there, no one knew about our table reservation, no one! That surprised us. We had to ask several waiters and the landlady for entry. After a long back and forth, we were finally given a table, but were told to vacate it by 3:00 PM at the latest. The food gets 5 stars, the Andechser and its staff minus 7 stars. We will always remember this restaurant and advise everyone against going to the Andechser Göppingen. Well, I called and ordered food for a specific time. They said it would be no problem. When we went to pick up the food, the order hadn't even been passed on to the kitchen. We had to wait. It wouldn't have been a problem, but we were in a hurry because of the hospital. The food was great, as always.

Terrible - You have to wait a really long time, and when you ask the waiter if you could order, the answer is, "No?" We asked in surprise why not, thinking it was a joke. He then said he had just arrived and wasn't on duty yet. Then you shouldn't put on your work clothes yet and stand behind the bar if you're not working yet. That's an unacceptable answer. Then the wrong food arrived and the offer to accept it and get some chanterelle mushrooms with it. (???!) Unbelievable. Furthermore, the waiters are arguing and arguing with each other. A very bad atmosphere. What's going on here? If we hadn't ordered yet, we would have left.

There is a permanent memory card and an additional weekly menu from Monday to Friday as well as for the weekend with other changing dishes. The food and the ambience are Bavarian, Swabian classic to rustic, but sometimes interpreted in a modern way. In any case, super tasty and tasty, rich and reasonably priced, good middle class. The staff is super friendly and on the ball. We always enjoy coming back. Regular local!

We got a table for 4 people at short notice. The staff is super friendly. The food came very quickly, at the same time and everything was delicious! If it weren't for the sometimes very high prices, I would like to give it 5 stars. But I don't think it's appropriate to charge over €20 for a Viennese-style schnitzel! The portions were very good. And Andechser Weizen is simply the best there is! It's also a shame that there isn't much choice for vegetarians!

Sufficient parking spaces nearby. Great menu. Warm food throughout. Child friendly. We were there by chance. Generous portions that can be taken away. Elevator also available. We were thrilled and can only recommend it!

We were at the Andechser for the first time as guests of a larger birthday party and were very positively surprised. The ambience is very cozy thanks to all the wood and the rooms are very spacious. The service was super friendly, fast and well-rehearsed. But we were particularly impressed by the food - we haven't had such good Swabian food in a long time! Class! So if you're in the Göppingen area, you can go to Andechser with a clear conscience and enjoy a nice evening!

Ich kann es nicht in hier zu schreibende Worte fassen, was ich über diese Instituion für eine Meinung habe. Empfehlung: Wichtige Ereignisse wo anders planen!

This time I was in the restaurant on December 23rd, 2024 from around 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and it was great. As always, very satisfied. The service from employee “Nene” was exemplary. The food and the presentations are delicacies: The Andechser is highly recommended in Göppingen as a typical Bavarian restaurant and has a tradition with style and atmosphere.

The food was good but relatively expensive. Luckily there is a good alternative in Göppingen with great prices and even better beer.

You haven't been to the Andechser in Göppingen yet? The monastery's only brewery restaurant between Munich and Stuttgart. Then you really missed something. A menu as you would expect from a brewery restaurant, rounded off with a varied daily and lunch menu with a seasonal reference. And important - it is freshly prepared and brought to the table at a good price-performance ratio. The Andechs monastery beers, of course also non-alcoholic monastery beers, other non-alcoholic drinks, or regional wines are always served with a friendly smile alongside the dishes freshly prepared by the kitchen team. You can enjoy all of this 7 days a week, where the focus is on the guest. We are happy to use this regularly and always look forward to every visit to Andechser.
