Delicious food and atmosphere, very attentive and friendly service!

Everything is good, only the food could be better. But that's a matter of taste 😉

A bottle of water for €10 and otherwise only mediocre food. Completely overrated.

The restaurant looks very promising from the outside. It wasn't very busy, but the service was only okay. We weren't asked for a second drink. You had to hunt for the asparagus in the cream of asparagus soup... but the price was hefty. The main course was lukewarm, and the side dishes were very meager. We weren't asked about dessert. We were a bit disappointed; we had expected more.

Eat, pay, go. We celebrated our wedding at Randel's and several birthdays there. As a longtime resident of Poppenbüttel, it pains me to see old Randel's house in such a state of disrepair. But life goes on, so seven of us from my family visited DEL. One star for the location and one star for the beef fillet. But for the prices they charge, guests expect more. Trained service, for example. A well-coordinated team. Food that has left the 2000s behind and arrived in the modern age. Let's take it step by step: Three of us ordered "Baked bread with olive oil." Since all bread is baked and sourdough is rarely served on its own, we envisioned a top-quality loaf, warm, with a nice little bowl and—wow!—perhaps even a lovingly crafted half tomato—served on a plate for each guest who ordered. Slightly bewildered, we looked at a baking pan containing tasty, but otherwise unremarkable, bread (six slices, plus a pepper mill). The server left without a word, leaving us wondering: was this the bread everyone could eat, or was it only for us, the ones who had ordered it? Far less "fancy" restaurants do serve bread as a welcome, so we shared, expecting more warm, freshly baked bread to follow... (we would have shared it anyway, besides :)). Wrong. When I inquired, I was curtly informed, "It says so on the menu!" A back-and-forth discussion ensued. The waitress felt the management's cost-cutting measures weren't being appreciated: 1. Only give guests bread if they pay. 2. Write "baked" bread on the menu; it sounds more substantial. 3. Write "with olive oil" and mean the slightly smeared oil bottle that's already on the table. 4. If several people order, serve everything in one container; that way there's less washing up. Hmm... is this some kind of cash grab in front of the customer? The persistent way they tried to boost sales by constantly repeating "and two bottles of water, okay?" while taking our order was also unpleasant. Before we could even get a look at the enormous sheets of paper that were supposed to be a menu, they were already offering us the leftovers: two portions of duck were still available, and if we wanted them, we had to order right away. (Am I at a fish market? Two more kilos of bananas, ladies and gentlemen, help yourselves, two more kilos of bananas!!!???) At this point, we exchanged somewhat astonished glances; a nagging feeling of unease crept over me. Then, a short time later, a new baking pan filled with warm (!) bread was wordlessly slammed onto the table. The woman briefly returned and explained the abrupt complimentary offering at my request, but the unease lingered. My impression was that someone was extremely dissatisfied with the guest; he hadn't behaved according to the establishment's standards (Eat, pay, leave). Overall, the food was quite good, although I couldn't explain the mountain of "celery puree" (it tasted like sweet potato mash, but was impossible to identify) surrounding the beef fillet, drenched in a brown sauce (gooseberry jus??). Why would anyone still do something like this? The market vegetables consisted of three pieces of bell pepper, some carelessly dipped mushrooms, and two slices of beetroot. As I said, a business-optimized dish from the 2000s. Thanks to my detailed description in this review, the lady of the house obviously knows who I am, and I probably shouldn't show my face there again. But honestly: It doesn't matter. Goodbye, Randel. Life goes on. P.S. Everything described here reflects only my personal opinion and experience.

Our first visit here, and we can say with certainty it won't be our last. An appealing selection of fine dishes, thoughtfully developed, cooked, and presented. And all served with great attention and friendliness. The food deserves 4.5 stars, but unfortunately, that's not possible here. So go and see for yourself; it's well worth it. Many thanks to our very pleasant companion throughout the evening (table 65 😉).

Sehr gutes Restaurant mit aufmerksamem Service, ausgezeichneter Küche und schönem Ambiente. Ich werde es wieder aufsuchen.

Wir waren mit Freunden dort. Sehr gutes Essen (hat auch seinen Preis, aber wie ich finde angemessen). Schönes Ambiente und sehr guter Service. Alle freundlich und entgegenkomment. Es war ein tolles kulinarisches Erlebnis und bestimmt nicht das letzte für uns in diesem Restaurant. Kläre Empfehlung!

Wir feierten dort den 100sten Geburtstag meiner Tante. Das Essen war super lecker, die Getränke ebenso. Der Service war ausgezeichnet. Würde ich in Hamburg leben, wäre ich sicher des öfteren dort zu Gast.

Wir haben hier das Schlemmersommer Menü, 4 Gänge für 79 € für 2 Personen genossen. Wir waren zu viert. Sehr guter Service, gute Weinempfehung und schöne Location. Wir sind sehr zufrieden nach Hause gegangen.

Was there for a special birthday party brunch and the food was lovely and the waitresses were very helpful and hardworking. Had a great time in a very special setting.

Sehr gemütliches Restaurant,in sehr guter Lage. Sehr gute Parkplätze. Sehr aufmerksamer Service, übersichtliche Karte zu fairen Preisen geschmacklich top. Sehr zu empfehlen für einen ruhigen Abend zu zweit oder aber auch einer Gruppe oder Veranstaltungen.

Rustikales & elegantes Ambiente. Sehr leckeres Essen und toller Service. Ein Plus gibt es für die tollen vegetarischen oder auf Wunsch auch veganen Gerichte, deshalb hatten wir uns im Vorhinein auch fürs DEL entschieden. Die Terrasse mitten im Grünen ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Beautiful atmosphere very friendly and accommodating staff. Great wine choices, good food also vegetarian options in menu such as falafel dish and veggie burger menue. Local restaurant and bar with Plenty of parking spaces available great quite location to relax drink and dine. I will definitely come back and would recommend.

Das Essen war sehr gut nur der Tisch war für 2 Personen nicht geeignet (Katzen Tisch) viel zu klein. Wir bekamen einen größeren. Man musste aber erst einmal fragen. Es waren einige frei und auch nicht reserviert wir hatten reserviert. Es war ein bisschen ungewöhnlich.

Rustikales, elegantes Ambiente. Interessante Menüs. Nicht immer gelungen, da nicht den Erwartungen des Kunden getroffen. Freundliches Personal.

Ich war das erste Mal im DEL. Das Ambiente ist wirklich schön und dezent an- und ausgeleuchtet. Der Service war überaus aufmerksam und freundlich. Sonderwünsche sind hier kein Problem. Das Essen war hervorragend und wurde frisch auf sehr heißen Tellern serviert. In der kalten Jahreszeit gibt es ein heimeliges Kaminfeuer. Schön auch kleine Details, wie die eigene DEL-Schriftart, die sich an der Gebäudefassade, den Gläsern und sogar auf der Beschriftung der Türen zu den originellen WC's wiederfindet. Einen dicken Extrapluspunkt gibt es für reichliche Parkmöglichkeiten direkt vor der Tür. Kurzum - ein sehr schöner Ort für einen entspannter Abend im Freundeskreis - sehr empfehlenswert.

Zu vorkommende und freundlich, essen sehr gut

Wie immer hatten wir einen wunderbarer Abend im Del. Das Essen (Schnitzel & Scholle) war großartig, der Service von Herrn Muus und der reizenden Kollegin sehr aufmerksam und äußerst freundlich. Würden wir nochmal heiraten, dann wieder hier ;-) Vielen Dank - wir kommen ganz bald wieder!

Gutes Essen, leider sehr langsamer Service (zu wenig Personal) und das Essen könnte heißer sein.

Das Del ist moderne Tradition. Sie haben den Mainstream im Angebot (Burger), aber auch schöne Sachen, die man sonst nicht bekommt, z.b Küchlein mit Gorgonzola auf Marmelade. Und die alte, umgebaute umgebaute Scheune ist einfach toll.

Hat uns wieder sehr gut gefallen. Können wir empfehlen. 😃

Essen und Service verdienen eindeutig eine 1. Leider ist der Gastraum sehr hellhörig. Auch wenn es nicht so voll ist (oder vielleicht gerade deshalb ?) Ist es sehr laut. Und die einseitig verspiegelten WC-Kabinen....wer's mag....
