dean&david Werksviertel in München

I ordered food from Wolt last night. The bowl arrived without dressing, even though it was ordered with it. The salad looked old and wasn't crisp, and neither were the cucumbers. Furthermore, the curry arrived cold; the chicken was raw inside and therefore inedible. Overall, it was a bad meal and an equally bad experience. I usually really enjoy eating at dean&david, but I personally can't recommend this Munich location. Luckily, after some probing, we got our money back from Wolt for the two dishes.

We went there on a weekday evening. It was quiet, so we were able to order right away and our food was prepared quickly. The staff was great. Everything was clean. The food was delicious.

I ordered a Strawberry Matcha to go today at 1 p.m. Ordering at the terminal went smoothly. The wait time of just a few minutes was also acceptable. Unfortunately, I received no matcha, only strawberry milk without any matcha whatsoever. When I asked, the employee told me the matcha was at the bottom. Unfortunately, there wasn't a single drop of matcha at the bottom of the cup (see photo), not even a hint of green in the drink. So either the staff wasn't properly trained in preparation, or Dean & David is selling Strawberry Matcha without any matcha at all. I've had Strawberry Matcha in over 10 different cafes, and this has never happened to me before.

I'm generally a fan of Dean & David, but I was in this branch today (August 27, 2025 at 7:00 PM) and I have to say, in 29 years, I've never seen such a rude employee. The gentleman didn't tell me his name, but I'm thoroughly appalled. I come from a retail background myself and know that customer service can be very stressful, especially in the restaurant industry. Nevertheless, this kind of behavior is completely unacceptable, and in my opinion, this employee should be fired immediately. Absolutely disgraceful for the branch and the entire company. Enough Said

Rude staff and poor food. I actually love Dean and David, and everything's always top-notch in Riem or at the main station! Here and at Orleansplatz, the staff are simply incompetent. Although there are very clear rules: they can't make everything in the food properly at either place—and it shouldn't be that difficult. Franchise or not, I'm slowly getting to the point where I'm avoiding Dean and David. Far too expensive for half-heartedly made food that ultimately doesn't taste good.

I think it's a bit of a shame that healthy food like a salad with some cheese is quite expensive. It tastes incredibly good, though. Sometimes during peak times, like lunchtime, it can take a little longer to process your order. Nevertheless, the shop is always good for a delicious and healthy lunch break.

I used to really enjoy going to Dean&David's, but after a salad with a large caterpillar and today, despite ordering double meat, only a few small pieces, they lost me. The price and performance are simply no longer right.

The staff was very friendly when ordering over the phone, and you could reach someone immediately. A repeat order was processed quickly and without any problems.

Ordered three times, got the wrong thing three times. The lady who makes the Mix Your Own Bowls is completely overwhelmed... really not that great with allergies.

Pros: Atmosphere is amazing! The place is impeccably clean. Wide variety of foods and drinks to choose from. You can pay by card. Cons: Staff is fairly slow, I ordered a smoothie and it took 17 minutes to make. It's important to say that there was no one else waiting for their order. Overall I would recommend 100%, but make sure you have enough time 🤟🏽

Very tasty food, best salad with the chicken I ever tried even I would like that portions are just a bit bigger. Prices are bit high, but c'mon, it's a freaking Munich city.

Prepare to stay in queue at lunch hours.

Ich habe eine Poke Bowl bestellt und vorher den Mitarbeiter gefragt, ob diese mit rohem Fisch zubereitet sei. Dies wurde sehr klar bejaht (Zitat: "roher Lachs"). Die Bowl war aber offensichtlich mit Räucherlachs zubereitet. Sie war nicht schlecht, hätte ich das aber vorher gewusst, hätte ich auf jeden Fall was anderes bestellt.

Ich habe leider fast 13€ für pures Salat bezahlt. So wenig Hühnchen im Salat hatte ich noch nie in Dean&david… Ich denke es war mein erstes und letztes Mal hier (Werksviertel), lieber woanders… Dafür aber schnell…
