We received excellent service and enjoyed a delicious meal in a wonderful atmosphere. The salad, cordon bleu, and Jägerschnitzel were fantastic; we'll gladly come back.

Not the cheapest restaurant, but definitely worth the price for the quality. The food was delicious. Friendly service. It was just a bit noisy in the dining room when it was full.

We were at "Das Wirtshaus" in Obernburg yesterday, and once again, I give it 5 stars. The ambiance, service, and food were exceptionally good. The wonderful evening with friends continued at "Fräulein Lotte" with fantastic cocktails. 💯

This was my first time at the Wirtshaus, and I'm also a restaurateur. A fantastic concept in the heart of Obernburg. A stunning ambiance. Professional service. Excellent value for money! These are true professionals! The steak tartare appetizer was exemplary. The Jägerschnitzel was freshly breaded, freshly fried, and served with fresh wild mushrooms. Very few restaurants can make panna cotta perfectly—Wirtshaus demonstrates how it should be done. I live in Switzerland, but I'll be back. I want to experience this culinary adventure again. The food and service are good, but the prices are a bit high.

We held our Christmas party there and had a wonderful evening with around 60 people. The preparations went very smoothly, and our contact person was always available for any questions. We celebrated on the upper level; as an alternative, the "Fräulein Lotte" restaurant across the street would have been available for smaller groups. In the evening, we started with a small mulled wine reception outside, and then went upstairs to the restaurant. The service was very attentive, quick, and friendly. The dishes from the pre-selected, smaller menu were all delicious and received universal praise. It was a successful celebration for all the guests, and we would gladly return.

The ambiance is good, but that's a matter of taste. The food is very good. I'll go again.

The food was good, but the goose could have been crispier.

I've been here twice, in August and December, and they make awesome, authentic Bavarian German food. Just a heads-up, the portions are HUGE, so keep that in mind when you order.

Food: The goose breast portions on our plates were unfortunately of different sizes – one was almost two-thirds breast, the other practically just skin with a little meat. The goose was also a bit dry. Service: After finishing the appetizer, I had to specifically ask for clean cutlery. Every five minutes, we were asked if everything was alright and if our dishes could be cleared. It was certainly well-intentioned, but almost too intrusive. Atmosphere: Nothing special.

In my opinion, it's recommendable. The food is very good and tasty, and the service and staff are absolutely top-notch – friendly, helpful, and attentive. Okay, the food isn't exactly cheap, and the drink prices are also higher. However, that still means the price-performance ratio is just about acceptable. All in all, it's fine; it's definitely worth a visit, especially for groups or for a celebration.

I've rarely eaten such a delicious Schäuferla (pork shoulder). A very nice and cozy restaurant with very friendly and attentive staff.

We were a group and ordered appetizers and main courses. One person wanted to order another appetizer at the end, but the server said that wasn't possible and he'd have to cancel all the main courses... what?! You're holding a tiny tray to take your order... plus, the server didn't even know what a "Skiwasser" was. Very disappointing :( The ambiance was good, and the space was nice too. Unfortunately, the cloakroom upstairs is right next to the stairs, and when several people are changing, no one can use the stairs from either the top or bottom, or only by turning around and doingdge. It's also difficult for the server with a tray. As for the food: My Spätzle with the Schnitzel were really bad, completely salty, so watery, and thick... very little sauce with the Schnitzel. As a Swabian, this wasn't a "Swabian Schnitzel," sorry, but it has to be swimming in sauce! The chicken nuggets had a bland aftertaste, and there was hardly any breading.

I've always been delighted with the service. Today was no exception: great service, delicious beer, and a very cozy atmosphere. Unfortunately, the visually appealing calf's liver turned out to be just a few very thin, almost tiny pieces hidden under a mountain of mashed potatoes. Even the tasty onions and decorative rosemary sprigs couldn't salvage my disappointment, despite the fact that the food itself tasted very good.

Beautiful restaurant in a great location. I had the Kochkäse schnitzel, which was quite delicious, and it came with a fantastic side salad. The homemade peach iced tea was tasty, but nothing special. Quaint and cozy, and definitely worth a visit.

I can only say it was fantastic, more fantastic, most fantastic! We went to the inn today for goose (seasonal offer from November 1st, 2025). I haven't had such a delicious bird in ages, simply superb. The poultry practically fell off the bone, and the skin was beautifully crispy, just as it should be (my compliments to the kitchen). I can highly recommend this inn; they serve delicious Bavarian-style food and drinks. Sure, you might pay a euro more here, but the kitchen and service are adequately staffed around the clock. The ambiance is also not to be underestimated—a cozy, modern inn style. In my opinion, the dishes are of top quality (I've eaten here quite a few times). Above all, I have to mention the service again—top-notch, always friendly and on the ball with a smile on their face; no one goes thirsty here. I had a Cordon Bleu with fried potatoes for €30. The fried potatoes were lukewarm, and the Cordon Bleu tasted good, but too small for the price and no better than one for half the price.

We were more than satisfied. I have a gluten intolerance, and our waitress, Caro, did everything she could to ensure I got the food I wanted. 10/10 service and food, too. Thanks again <3

Hungry and thirsty, we stopped at the pub on our bike ride, and full and refreshed, we continued on. For the record, perhaps the chestnut tree above the beer garden was missing 😉 everything else was top notch.

We spent five days in Obernburg. During that time, we visited the inn three times. It felt really good from the start. The super friendly welcome and service by "Larissa?" were excellent. There's nothing to complain about with the rest of the team either; they're just as friendly. However, we think it's worth mentioning that they always remember what guests have eaten, allowing them to give them great tips for their next meal. In short: a top-notch restaurant. Excellent food. We come here regularly because everything is just perfect – from the easy online reservation to the friendly and personalized service over the phone. Even special requests, like bringing our dog, are always warmly accommodated, and we always find a suitable seat, whether in the cozy interior or in the beer garden. The menu impresses with its variety and also offers dishes for vegetarians and vegans. Whether schnitzel, rump steak, shoulder of pork, burgers, chicken, or seasonal asparagus – every dish was a delight. The experience is rounded out by service that is always attentive, warm, and professional. A great team, highly recommended! By the way, try the wheat beer goat, unfortunately no longer on the menu, but I was assured it's still available.

We happened to be in Obernburg on September 9, 2025, on our way back from Miltenberg, and thought we'd stop in. First, the negatives: It was sometimes a bit noisy inside, with so many customers. But that's about it for the negatives. Now for the positives: Very friendly and attentive service, surprisingly short wait times (menu, food, bill), clean restrooms, reasonable prices, and nice merchandise on site. I had a Jägerschnitzel (hunter's schnitzel) with spaetzle and I have to say, it was delicious. The meat was beautifully tender, the sauce was delicious, and the spaetzle didn't stick or anything like that; they were even very good to eat without sauce. We were served quickly, and the food didn't take long to arrive, even though the dining room was quite full and there were only two waiters. We'll definitely be coming back more often from now on.

The inn in Obernburg impresses with its excellent food and is a true culinary experience. The inviting ambiance, both inside and outside, invites you to linger, and the service is always friendly, attentive, and prompt. A place we would gladly return to anytime.

And another very pleasant surprise. The online reservation was easy, and when we arrived, we only had to decide whether we wanted to eat outside or inside. The waiters (male and female) in stylish traditional costumes were very friendly and had everything under control. Even from the menu, you could tell that you had arrived in "Bavarian territory." There was absolutely nothing wrong with the food. It came on warm plates, deliciously presented, everything was perfect, and even the side salad (bowl) had a lot to offer. I won't give away any more. Try it. It's worth it.

The Wirtshaus in Obernburg is a cozy inn with good food. Reservations in advance are recommended, but two (or four) people can often find a spot spontaneously. However, there is a star deduction for the price/performance ratio. A salad for just under €20 or a burger for over €20 is quite steep and only satisfies a small hunger. The restaurant writes on its menu that the high prices can be justified by the pay of the staff.

We were very disappointed with the food....we ate the asparagus/Schupfnudeln/Salmon wild garlic pan.... Price/performance ratio wasn't right....it was just Schupfnudeln with exactly 3 mini pieces of asparagus....we had imagined completely different things..

What can I say… For me, one of the best German restaurants in our area. They are now regular guests and always find it to be great. Food quality and price performance is a 1 with a star. The operators are also very great hosts. We always feel comfortable and the service is always courteous.

Anyone who is a fan of Bavarian cuisine will definitely get their money's worth here. Great value for money, great selection and variety, great ambience and service. Our vegetarians particularly liked the selection; they didn't just find one dish, they were spoiled for choice. We come from Hesse, so we had a correspondingly long journey ahead of us. We will still come back, the quality is simply convincing.

Considering that the restaurant was packed and the service staff were just running around, it still went relatively quickly. The inn is an enrichment for Obernburg! It is decorated in a cult style and invites you to linger. I've been able to enjoy something from the kitchen a few times now and I'm positively impressed by it. Depending on the time of day and year, the beer garden also has places where you can enjoy the sun.

We were here for dinner this afternoon. I ordered veal liver “Berliner Style”. The liver (2 pieces), one piece was very good, the second piece could not be identified by me, my wife, or the waitress who was called. It was an extremely bad tasting mass, but definitely not fresh liver. The waitress took my plate into the kitchen, came back and said that the chef had tried it and found the taste strange. I'll probably never know what it actually was. I was then offered another meal as an alternative, which I accepted, but unfortunately the taste of the “LIVER” is still on my tongue. By the way, there was not a word of apology, they even tried to charge me for the liver. This place won't see me anymore.
