I've been coming here regularly for many years. It was one of my favorites under the previous tenants. However, over the last two years, I've become increasingly dissatisfied. The value for money is sometimes no longer right, and the portions seem to be getting smaller and smaller. The food is delicious and solid. However, the wait time is often far too long, and the service could be improved. I personally find it rude not to thank people for a 10% tip. However, the restrooms have been beautifully renovated and are very clean. Conclusion: A shame

Hey, please note: cash only, I had to use my emergency fund. But what a great meal, that's what matters. Simply delicious. It's nice when you enter the restaurant: Wow, just like back in the Ardennes. Rustic, old-school. But no matter, the owners are very friendly, and we were able to have a quick chat here too. Visit here too if you're in Cologne.

Man kann hier sehr gut die Balkanküche essen. Allerdings ein Manko hat der Laden .Nach der Übernahme vom Vorgänger der Familie Mateljak hat das Lokal eher sporadisch geöffnet. Schade waren schon mit unseren Gästen vor verschlossener Tür gestanden .

Super tasty as you know it from Croatia

April 2025: Bowling was good! However, the service at the bowling alley was...well...let's just say - in need of improvement. The food we ordered à la carte came far too late and we had to wolf it down because the next group was already at the door for bowling. Waiting 2 hours for a simple meal is just too much.

If you want authentic and delicious Croatian food you have to go here! Really delicious food, nice service and fair prices. A must again the next time you visit Cologne! Thanks

Very satisfied. Food was super fresh and delicious. Quiet, relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant is run by a friendly couple. However, there is only one main course for vegetarians/vegans. Additionally, no card payment is possible.

We've been there several times. The food is delicious and the owners are very nice. It's also great that we can take our little dog with us.

Small restaurant where you can only pay in cash. The main course was super tasty. Unfortunately the squash hams aren't that tasty, I know them with sugar and cinnamon, here they were only available with chocolate sauce or strawberry sauce. Still very nice.

It felt like you were visiting family and getting food, friendly and helpful staff, good food, good portions. The only caveat is that payment must be made in cash (an ATM is nearby at the T-junction), but that should not spoil the fun, despite the fact that the outside is not inviting to enter. If we are in the area again, we will definitely go back!

Auf der Suche nach einem normalen Restaurant bei Google Maps fand ich dieses Lokal mit guter Bewertung. Also auf den Weg gemacht. Bei Ankunft wirkte es auf mich wie ein kleines Lokal im Brauhausstil. Relativ einfache Sitzgelegenheiten wobei man auch als Gruppe von vier Personen für sich sein kann. Ich wurde freundlich empfangen und auch gleich bedient. Das bestellte Essen wurde frisch zubereitet und wurde in angemessener Zeit serviert. Die Pommes waren einfach, das hätte ich mir besser vorgestellt (nicht diese dünnen Stäbchen) Der Reis war gut, für meine Geschmack nicht würzig genug. Das Fleich war klasse gegrillt und schmeckte sehr lecker zusammen mit Ajvar. Insgesamt: Preis/ Leistung Top Grundsätzlich ist es zu empfehlen. Für "Schick Essen gehen", vielleicht nicht so geeignet.

I didn't like this place at all. Let me explain why! I travelled to Cologne from London. The waitress here could not speak one word of English. Even when I asked for the WiFi code she didn't understand! When I got the bill I found out that they don't accept cards (I wonder if to avoid paying tax) I didn't have any cash. She could not even direct me to the nearest cash machine. She asked me to leave my jacket in the restaurant just in case if I don't go back!! So i had to go outside in the cold looking for a cash point with no jacket on! I found the whole experience humiliating tb... reg food...The meat was dry and the sauce was too salty...so overall an unpleasant experience.

Schönes kleines Restaurant, mit sehr freundlichen Inhabern. Fühlten uns direkt gut angenommen. Das Essen war sehr schmackhaft, frisch zubereitet und nicht wie vielfach, einfach aufgewärmtes Essen verfeinert. Da sieht man noch die liebe zum Beruf.

Το μέρος ειναι απλό, ιδανικό για οικογένεια, όχι για ραντεβού επαγγελματικό ή προσωπικό. Το φαγητό είναι πολύ καλό, και σύγκριση με την γύρο περιοχή οι μερίδες και η τιμή είναι αρκετά καλές. Πολύ ευγενικό προσωπικό, καθαρός χώρος, σπιτικό φαγητό!

Rustikales Ambiente mit freundlicher Bedienung. Wirkt von außen erstmal unscheinbar ist aber definitiv einen Besuch Wert. Essen ist solide, wobei es auch nicht das beste essen aus dem Balkan ist was ich kenne. Kommen aber definitiv gerne wieder.

Kleines, familiäres kroatisches Restaurant in einer kleinen kölschen Seitenstraße. Tolles handwerklich, frisch zubereitetes Essen in einer modernen, rustikalen "Schänke" von freundlichen Gastgebern angeboten.

Recht leckere Balkanküche mit guten Preisen und gutem freundlichen Service. 2022 nach zwei Jahren wieder da. Wieder ausgesprochen lecker und familiärer Service.

Das Cevapcici zum mitnehmen war sehr lecker. Die Pommes waren kross, das Cevapcici hatte gute Qualität, dazu schmackhafter Djuvec-Reis und frischer Salat. Man sieht es dem Restaurant nicht an, aber es zu gibt qualitativ gutes Essen zu moderaten Preisen. Dabei wird man sehr freundlich empfangen.

Die sehr gute Bewertung kann ich nicht ganz verstehen. Das Essen ist geschmacklich nicht besonders lecker und etwas fett geraten, die Auswahl übersichtlich, das Fritierfett der Pommes Fett schmeckt nicht mehr ganz frisch, die Fleischqualität nicht überdurchschnittlich. Die Bedienung aufmerksam und unaufdringlich. Das Restaurant sauber. Wir kommen nicht wieder.

This is a hidden gem. I wanted to try the, I have no idea how to spell it, the small caseless sausages. There was a language barrier, but the waiter was very pleasant and helpful and we have reached a wonderful agreement and a very generous portion of meat. We had to wait a little, but I assume everything was done freshly and the food was hot. I was a bit self-conscious for ordering only one portion of food while blocking a table for 6, yet the waiter made us feel at home. The toilets are spotless and there is no smell, but they have insisted on checking up the health pass. Thank you wonderful German government! I got a nice reminder of the days before the Holocaust, when some people were not worthy to go to the same places as the superior race. I am vaccinated, so I guess I am Arian for 2021. I felt sorry for the nice lady having to check for the Government mandated permit.

Entspannte Atmosphäre und sehr leckeres Essen, welches schnell geliefert wurde. Super freundliche Bedienung. Das einzige bei der Getränkegröße von 0,2 l, ist doch etwas winzig.
