Very friendly service. Food came very quickly, there were 8 of us and it was very tasty, plentiful and inexpensive. We have been coming here for decades and will be back.

We don't come here every day, but we are always completely satisfied with the food. It is a Swabian restaurant that we have known for a long time. No matter what we order, the food is always extremely tasty and the portions are huge. Once you order, everything is prepared quickly, so waiting times for your food are rarely more than 15 minutes. The staff is always friendly and the prices are reasonable. The toilets are very clean. However, the restaurant is less suitable for families with small babies as there is little space between the tables. However, it is definitely doable with slightly older children. Parking in front of the building is usually easy to find since the restaurant is located in the city center. However, you should remember the parking tickets. We give Dächle 5 stars 🌟

When making a reservation by phone, you should be advised that it is not possible to eat warm. Because the exhaust in the kitchen failed. Nothing can happen, but that you then eat your food in unison because we were really cold (the entrance door was open and in the kitchen too, which can be cooked. We were really totally disappointed, as a host I would have informed my guests on the phone that it could be a bit unpleasant at the moment, that didn't make any difference and I would have given a better rating. (Only for the reason that the unpleasant situation was pointed out to me). We will try it again on the terrace in the summer and hope that it will be like it used to be.

Small, cozy restaurant with a beer garden. We have always eaten there over the years. The staff is friendly, but unfortunately the quality of the food has suffered since the change in ownership, which is a real shame.

You definitely have to visit Dächle in Lauffen, the food is simply great and the price-performance ratio is incomparable.

We were looking forward to a wonderful Christmas Day meal today and were extremely disappointed. We are regular customers and have NEVER experienced anything like today. We were first asked to sit at a table, which was completely fine. After just a minute we were asked to clear the table and shown to a place with a table and bar stools. We rejected this immediately. Back to the other table, we were put under pressure that we only had 1 hour to eat because this table had been reserved elsewhere. We were about to leave, just because of the unfriendly comments from the waitress (this one waitress). enough for us. Eating under time pressure, no comfort due to constantly checking whether you have finished eating. WHAT'S THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN? We reserved a table for 4 people back in November, with the *request* to sit at one table as my mother cannot sit on bar chairs with her hip prosthesis. Aside from that, if you're reserving a table to have a cozy Christmas meal with your FAMILY, you definitely don't want to sit at a bar or a table with uncomfortable bar stools. When it came to paying, we quickly agreed that of course we wouldn't give tips. Of course, this was immediately commented on with a comment from the waitress. It deserves 0 stars for the way it treats guests. Planning is the be-all and end-all. Not just making a quick buck and squeezing guests in somewhere due to lack of space and incorrect table planning. We will not be visiting the Dächle again at Christmas.

Four dishes, 4x grade 5! The quality and taste of the dishes is a disgrace for a restaurant! Unfortunately a lot of convenience products! Ein wirklich sehr gemütliches Gasthaus, angenehm altmodisch. Mit einem Zwiebelrostbraten der seinesgleichen sucht. Top! Da gehen wir jedes Mal gerne wieder hin. Sehr zu empfehlen!

I ordered takeaway this evening. Unfortunately the young lady behind the counter gave me the wrong food twice, which was really annoying. However, the food itself is very tasty and sufficient in size. However, it would be helpful if the staff could work on communication.

Old institution in Lauffen. If you want to eat and drink quickly, easily, well and cheaply, you've come to the right place. Not haute cuisine, but completely okay in terms of price-performance ratio. It's always nice to sit outside on the terrace, drink a beer and have a bite to eat, even in summer.

Nice service and the food was great

My husband and I ate here because my husband knew the inn from several business meals. The food was good and plentiful, but the service was terrible. A young waitress brought us drinks and food. But I didn't even wish: Enjoy your meal! An older woman (I assume the boss) was running back and forth stressed. She then collected the money from us and didn't even ask if it was tasty. She wasn't interested in that at all. We had the impression that only the income counts and not the guest. Nothing warm came across. We have never been served like this before. Because I couldn't eat it all, I asked if they could pack the rest for me. A container was then brought to my table and I was then charged for it. We have never experienced this before.

It was a fun hike to Lauffen. Wanted to have a good meal in the evening. I'll keep it short. Yummy. There were five of us and everything was tasty. I particularly like the Cordon Bleu.

I was at the Dächle restaurant on a Tuesday and tried the schnitzel offer for €9.90. It was really delicious - the meat was tender, crispy breaded and the portion was more than enough. Great value for money! The side dishes were also fresh and well seasoned. However, it was quite full, which was probably due to the great offer. It is definitely advisable to reserve a table in advance, especially during the week. Despite the crowds, the service was friendly and attentive, but you can tell it's busy. Overall, a recommended restaurant, especially for schnitzel lovers!

Dear team, yesterday we had 2×toast......that had meat. Didn't taste like anything, even if you had to chew for a long time. What's going on, does the chef have no pride in making his food well...after all, it's a craft that can only convince with quality!! Unfortunately, I experience this more and more in the catering industry. It's still 5 stars, I don't want to make the company miserable with a review. Sleep on it, I'll test it again in 2 years.

Really highly recommended inn. I was alone and the beer garden was well filled at 7:00 p.m. Nevertheless, I was given a seat. For food I ordered the Flädlesuppe and the Dachlet plate. Both very large portions and super tasty. The waitresses were on their toes and always had a smile on their faces. If I'm in the area again, I'd love to come back.

They recently banned our local association from meeting here, which wasn't a problem for years!!

Beautiful traditional Swabian beer garden with consistently warm food and good house wine. The cuisine is authentically local with schnitzels, Maultaschen, potato salad etc. You shouldn't expect more upscale Swabian cuisine, but the food is good and quite cheap with interesting daily promos.

Hearty Swabian cuisine, very decent portions, hearty furnishings and solid service. The Riesenmaultaschen was not only huge but also incredibly tasty. The Swabian-Swiss sausage salad with fried potatoes is exactly how it should be. Tables on the terrace are a bit cramped, but that's probably due to popularity... and it's better to have a small space than none ;) It was a pleasure and we'll definitely come back the next time we're in the area.

I had a roast beef with spaetzle on offer day on Wednesday. The roast was fried medium to perfection and was super tasty - the best roast I've eaten in a long time. The sauce was also great and the spaetzle was very tasty. The portion was also very generous and the meat was a real chunk. We were served quickly, but we had to wait a while for our food - but it was still OK. I can highly recommend the restaurant - it was really great!

Addendum August 14, 2024: After a long time, we gave the Dächle another chance yesterday. As a small family with a limited budget, we thought you couldn't go wrong on Schnitzel Day. Wrong thought. The food was apparently okay and we ate it, but today it all took its toll with cramps and diarrhea for me, my husband and my toddler. The only thing we all ate together yesterday was the Dächle dinner and today we're all miserable... :( I hate to write this but it's obvious why it was. That's not how we imagined the last days of our vacation . :(

The beer garden is cozy. The portions are large. Side dishes and sauces are nothing special. I recommend the Dächle schnitzel. Food is served quickly. Recommended for cyclists and hikers who need a quick, proper Swabian meal. There are bike racks right in front of the beer garden.

Been eating here for years. The food always tastes great and the prices are reasonable too. What bothers me are the blunt knives. If you wish you can also get a spicy one. Update July 28, 2024: Went there again today. Still the blunt knives. Attached is a picture. We also had to wait 50 minutes for our drinks today. The food was almost eaten when our drinks arrived. When asked: we can't keep up with the glasses. Maybe you need more glasses in addition to the knives. The waitresses were all very stressed, even though not everything was busy. I'll think about eating here again. It's a shame actually...this used to be a great inn.

I had been there several times before in a larger group and was quite satisfied. But today I'm going solo, and unfortunately the experience is the opposite. There were several tables available outside and not marked as reserved, so I took a seat. But after the service staff had checked that no one was coming, all of the free tables were suddenly supposedly reserved - obviously the expected turnover from a single guest was too meager for her to allow the one free table to be occupied. OK, then not.... and definitely not in the future either..... It's a shame that the minimum rating here is 1 star - zero point zero would be appropriate.

Very friendly hosts, always friendly and helpful staff. Food is good, special requests are fulfilled, portions are more than sufficient, prices are very moderate. Large beer garden, cozy guest room with an adjoining room. I can only recommend the inn. Accommodation options directly opposite. Parking options around the entire Dächle.

On a 4-day bike tour the most bike-friendly, nicest restaurant with delicious food and very friendly service. You can take a look at the “famous” Jagst-Kocher cycle path!

Very nice staff. Friendly and very competent. Food was always very good. Unfortunately, things have gotten worse. It started with fried potatoes that didn't taste like fried potatoes. There are also far too few parking spaces.

12/03/2021 Nice, rustic restaurant with Swabian cuisine. The menu is extensive and has something for everyone. The food tasted very good and the portions were large, at a reasonable price. Despite the fact that it was very busy, the drinks and food came quickly. The staff was very accommodating and always friendly. It was a great, cozy evening in the “Dächle”. We'll definitely be back soon. March 8, 2023 The prices are more than fair and the food, as always, is delicious. We felt very comfortable again. Any time. Good rustic German cuisine from roast beef with fried potatoes to Riesenmaultaschen with potato salad to the Dächles plate with a mix of everything. Very large portions that really fill you up and all at unbeatable prices. Reservations are strongly recommended because the space is rare and very popular, even among the locals. It's always worth taking a look at the daily menu, as you'll find super-tasty food at an unbeatable price. The service is also very friendly and the kitchen is quick. The Dächle Platter is a nice big portion and great for trying a bit of everything. In the beer garden you can sit comfortably sheltered in the green.

Super good Swabian restaurant - extremely popular with cyclists - located in the middle of beautiful Lauffen am Neckar. The menu includes everything that makes the Swabian heart beat faster ;-) from Maultaschen to schnitzel to onion roast in all variations. The service is super friendly and on point! The glasses don't stay empty for long and people often ask if everything fits! If you go here hungry, you've definitely done something wrong! Conclusion: Tasty!

Good big portion. Schnitzel with spaetzle €17.90 is enough! Half a spelled larder €4.40 Apple sorrel €3.90 Cola €4.40 large 0.5 is outrageous.

Unfortunately, I expected more based on the good rating. The food was ok but for the price you should expect more and better. Service mediocre, you feel a bit like you're at Aldi or Lidl at the checkout just when you're eating... I had just eaten the last forkful and the plate opposite was still eating! The drinks are served over the food… a clear no go!! The friendly none is ok…. You feel very rushed! It's a shame to make such a decision in this review!

So I have to get something off my chest now, you guys don't think you need to tell the customers what they should eat. If I go to the Ratsstüble in Besigheim and order a children's plate, I'll get that too! THE BEST THING ABOUT IT I WAS OFFERED THE SENIOR PLATE AND THAT WAS NO MORE THAN A CHILDREN'S PLATE.

Das Essen war gut, nur die Fleischportionen sind von der Größe her sehr unterschiedlich. Meine Frau und ich haben beide Rostbraten gegessen. Während bei den Nebentischen die Portionen Fleisch ordentlich waren, dachten wir das wir eine Rentnerportion erhalten haben. Das geht gar nicht, da bei den anderen Tischen der Preis derselbe war.

That's it for Dächle for me. 👎🏻 👉🏻 Addendum: today 2 schnitzels with 1 side dish each for 2 x 9.90 € = 19.80 € + 1 shandy + 1 beer (0.5 l each) = total: 29.40 €. Sorry, no more with me❗👎🏻

Unfortunately, not only did I get the wrong and cold food, but when I pointed it out, the service became abusive. Waste of time on Sunday…and culinary disaster.
