We were on vacation in Schneverdingen for five days. We stumbled upon this restaurant on our second evening. The waitress and the owner were super friendly and accommodating! The food was excellent and more than plentiful. Despite the full house, there was a cheerful and friendly atmosphere. If we vacation there again, this will be the first restaurant we visit!

"Da Roma" is a small but very fine restaurant. It offers a creative daily specials menu, and the dishes are delicious. The chef and service are very prompt and friendly. A big compliment to the chef in the kitchen: the food arrived 10 minutes after ordering. Highly recommended!

There are many Italian restaurants, but occasionally you come across a really good one. Like in this case. The welcome from the kitchen was amazing, and the salad and main course (pizza) were also very tasty. Great wines and digestifs. The owner is nice and you can have a little chat with her. Very Italian. Would definitely go back.

We recently ate at this restaurant. The food was okay overall—decent in terms of taste, but nothing particularly outstanding. The service, however, was very pleasant: the waitress was friendly and attentive, which rounded off the visit on a positive note. The payment situation was somewhat disconcerting, however. Although the entrance door explicitly advertised debit card payments, we were told at the end that card payments were not accepted. The waitress explained that paying in cash would be easier for the accounting department and would better support the restaurant. This may be understandable from a business perspective, but it seems a little lacking in transparency to guests who rely on card payments—and, frankly, a bit unprofessional. Anyone who offers (and advertises) debit card payments these days should also consistently enable them.

The lasagna was good, the pasta aglio e olio less so. The pasta stuck together and was hard. Parmesan cheese costs extra, and I'm not really familiar with it.

No candles, no music, instead the staff rant about a bad haircut for everyone to hear. Completely uncaring. The food isn't great. It's cheap, of course. I thought it would be recommended based on the many good reviews. No, absolutely not. No requests for dessert or coffee, generally lacking communication. Disappointment.

Good pizzas. Lemocello spritz cocktail - excellent. The hostess herself prepares the lemoncello crema liqueur used in the cocktail. We ate both panna cotta and tiramisu - both very tasty.

Hier stimmt Preis/ Leistung. Gemütliche kleine Pizzeria. Die Chefin ( vermeintlich ), ist in ihrem Ton vlt manchmal etwas schroff. Aber ansonsten toll. Cola aus kleinen Glasflaschen, keine Zapfplörre o.ä. Wir kommen wieder.

Last week I had dinner here with a friend. Since I eat vegan, I ordered the antipasti. Super delicious! Everything is prepared in-house. The lemon carrots were cooked to perfection, the pickled red onion, the grilled eggplant and zucchini, each tastier than the last. There is also a very friendly owner who paints and exhibits her beautiful pictures here. We'll be back!!

Here you can feel the “Amore” and “Passione” for Italian cuisine and the pride in Italian (food) culture. If you were asked about a Hawaiian pizza, you would respond very politely but firmly: “No, we don’t do that.” get to hear. Extremely likeable! The menu also includes some lesser-known ingredients from Italian cuisine. Absolutely recommended!

Nach dem Gruß aus der Küche (selbstgebackenes Brot und Thunfischbutter) hatte ich eine Bruschetta, danach Scampi aus dem Backofen und abschließend ein Tiramisu! Alles war super schmackhaft und auch der empfohlene Wein war top! Absolute Empfehlung!!!

And you can tell with every bite that the chef prepares these culinary delicacies with passion, love and great skill! We are thrilled and will come back, we promise.

Great restaurant with excellent food at a very fair price. Pretty much everything here was prepared as it should be. The vegetables and potatoes were cooked to just the right point, and the meat was fried to a perfect medium. The sauce was strong but flavored with subtle notes. You feel very welcome here and can completely enjoy your stay and the food. Unreserved recommendation.

A fine Italian that defies the current modern trend and fortunately still relies on classic values. Very tasty food, and very friendly service, a top team and in general... We wanted to have a nice meal together after skiing, but unfortunately we were told at 9:15 p.m. that the kitchen was already cold and we couldn't have any more. It's a shame if it's open until 10 p.m.

Sehr stilvoll eingerichtet, mit einer ganz tollen Bedienung. Das Essen war spitze, es gab zahlreiche Gerichte die man sonst beim Italiener nicht findet. Meine Pizza mit Scharfskäsecreme, Birnen und Parmaschinken war richtig lecker. Die Bruschetta mit Feigen, Ziegenkäse und Honig waren sehr gut. Auch wenn man über Geschmäcker streiten kann sind die Ideen auf der Speisekarte einen Besuch wert.

We became aware of this restaurant during our vacation in Schneverdingen because we wanted a little variety for dinner during our 5-day stay. Unfortunately we discovered this restaurant on the last evening. Otherwise we would definitely have come a second time. From the welcome, wine recommendation, daily menu to the dessert and digestif, we really enjoyed it. Very friendly waitress and owner. Let's get to the most important thing - the homemade pasta and pizzas were super delicious. What we also liked was the clear menu, not 50 different pasta and pizza selections but a very original selection. Pizza Fichi with Gorgonzola, figs and prosciutto tasted very good, as did the Taglitalle with salmon. In short it was a great family meal. We would be happy to come back the next time we visit Heide. Insider tip: the grappa selection is outstanding. Completed the evening.

If you are looking for a restaurant where you can spend a quiet evening with very courteous service and of course good food, you should give this restaurant a try. The food is really delicious and the changing “recommendations of the evening” offer a great and imaginative variety. The Ravioli al Tartufo are highly recommended. We were completely satisfied and would love to come back to this small, cozy restaurant.

Nach einer langen Fahrradtour haben wir im Da Romeo zu Abend gegessen. Das war ganz wunderbar, der Service persönlich, herzlich und schnell. Die tagesaktuelle Speisekarte war sehr vielfältig, das Essen sehr lecker. Uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert!

The food is always good, the offers are on a special board. The staff is friendly. I also find it very positive that there are signs on the tables prohibiting the use of cell phones. This way you can concentrate on yourself, your companions and on a nice evening. It is also respectful of other guests.

Preiswerte Speisekarte mit super Gerichten. Aber unbedingt die TAGESKARTE studieren. Hier gibt es exklusive Dinge wie Trüffel, Fisch usw. Hier gibt der Koch sein Meisterstück! Suchtgefahr! Wir hatten frischeNudeln mit Trüffeln und anschließend Kalb mit Trüffel! Ein Traum!

Für ein Geschäftsessen mussten wir notgedrungen wieder im italienischen Restaurant Da Romeo einkehren. Wie bei unserem letzten Besuch sucht das Restaurant auf einer Standtafel immer noch nach Personal. Auf einer weiteren Tafel wurde aufgeführt, dass eine Kreditkartenzahlung nicht möglich sei und casch wäre ihnen am liebsten. Ein größerer Aufkleber im Fenster weist dem Restaurant eine Empfehlung von Tripadvisor aus. Aus der Speisekarte wurden von uns folgende Bestellungen ausgewählt: "Pizza frutti di mare für 12,50 € mit Meeresfrüchte von unsere Antipasti di Mare ( vorbereitet mit Knoblauch, Selleriestange, Kräuter, Olivenöl, Zitronensaft)" - Der Pizzateig war sehr zäh und mit einem Steakmesser nur schwer schneidbar und nicht kross. Es schien sich um einen kommerziellen Fertigteig zu handeln, auf dem wenig ungewürzte Tomatenpaste und wenig Käse verteilt waren. Die Mischung der oben draufgelegten Meeresfrüchte war weder mediteran vorbereitet, noch hatte sie eine Pizzawürzung oder eine Gemüsezutat. Auf die schlechte Qualität angesprochen antwortete die Wirtin, dass der Koch seit 20 Jahren die Pizza so zubereitet und dass er den Teig selbst angesetzt habe. "Pizza Bresaola e Rucola für 15,00 € mit Bresaola (luftgetrocknete fettarme Rinderschinken) Kirschtomate, Parmesanraspel und frische Rucola" - Die Pizza war ebenfalls nur sehr schwer schneidbar und zäh. Bei dem Pizzateig schien sich auch um einen kommerziellen Fertigteig zu handeln, bei dem wenig ungewürzte Tomatenpaste und wenig Käse verteilt worden waren. Ricotta oder Morzarella wie er traditionell für diese Pizzasorte verwendet wird, war nicht vorhanden. Den Bresaola hatte man auf der Pizza miterhitzt und er hatte als geräucherte Ware seine rote Farbe verloren. Dann hatte man den Rucola lieblos darüber verteilt. Eine maritime Würzung war nicht vorhanden. "Tagliatelle agli scampi für 14,00 € lange breite Nudeln mit Scampi, Knoblauch, Paprika in leichter Tomatensauce" - Die Tagliatelle waren zu aldente, so dass sie die ungewürzte Sosse nicht aufnahmen. Die sehr kleinen wenigen Scampi waren fade und sehr hart. Die als Sosse zugesetzten Dosentomaten waren nicht gewürzt und entsprachen in keiner Art einer mediteranen Kochweise. "Antipasto della Casa, PLATTE FÜR ZWEI PERSONEN für 27,00 € Antipasto di verdure, Antipasto di mare, Mozzarella Caprese,Parmaschinken, Käse mit Honig, Carpaccio, alles selbst und frisch vorbereitet. (auch für ein Person / 16,00 € )" - Bei der Hausvorspeise waren fertig in Öl oder Essig eingelegte Gemüse und ein Salat von fertigen Meeresfrüchten auf einen Teller ausgelegt worden. Bei den Meeresfrüchten und den Gemüsen handelte es sich nicht um frisch zubereitete und gewürzte Produkte. Für das Carpaccio war eine fertig gekochte Rote Beete in Scheiben geschnitten worden. Für den wenigen Schinken und Käse sowie für das Carpaccio standen eine süssliche Sosse mit Balsamico zur Verfügung. Frische italienische Kräuter waren nicht vorhanden. "Pizza vegetariana für 12,20 € mit diverse Gemüse von Antipasto misto diverse gegrillte oder gebratene Gemüse mit Kräuter, Knoblauch und in Olivenöl und Balsamicoessig eingelegt." - Der Pizzateig wies die selben üblen Eigenschaften wir bereits o.a. auf. Als Belag der Pizza die Zutaten von dem Vorspeisenteller mit gegrilltem und gebratenem Gemüse, welches teilweise in Essig eingelegt war und welches total im Öl schwamm, zu verwenden, ist schon verwegen. Die nicht weiter gewürzte Pizza wies zu wenig Käse für die viele Flüssigkeit aus den Vorspeisen auf, wodurch sie weder knusprig noch gut zu essen war. "Scampi alla griglia für 27,50 € gegrillte Scampi (mit Schale) auf Rucola, Spritzer Tomatensauce, Knoblauch, Petersilien, Olivenöl" - Die ungewürzten Scampies hatte man mit Schale auf den Grill gelegt und anbrennen lassen. Auf zu viel Rucola abgelegt waren die in Öl und Dosentomaten schwimmenden Scampi nur sehr schwer von der Schale zu befreien. Eine spezielle Würzung mit mediteranen Gewürzen und Knoblauch, welche auch zum Rucola passen sollte, war nicht vorhanden. Weitere Beilagen gab es nicht. Eine Schale mit Zitronenwasser für die Reinigung der Hände wurde nicht gereicht. Vor dem Essen wurden vier Körbe mit "Pane fatto in casa" und zerlassene Butter in Schälchen auf den Tisch verteilt. Nach Aussage der Wirtin sollte es sich um selbst gebackenes Brot nach Familienrezept handeln, welches sie auch nicht berechnen würde. Laut Speisekarte sollte eine Portion 2,50 € kosten. Bei den Brotstreifen handelte es sich um in Streifen geschnittenes Toastbrot. Das Brot wies einen unmöglicher Geschmack und eine latschelige Konsistenz auf. Mit selbst gebackenem Brot, welches jeder Pizzabäcker sofort herstellen könnte, hatte dieses nichts zu tun. Auch die zerlassene Butter wies keine Gewürze oder andere mediterane Eigenschaften auf. Als Getränke bestellten wir die Rotweine Negroamaro Primitivo, Zinfandel Rot, Apulien, Italien und Nero d`Avola Rot, Sizilien, Italien und als Weißwein Madonna delle Vittorie, Altolago bianco Trentino. Zu den angefragten Rebsorten der Weine konnte uns weder die Bedienung noch die Wirtin etwas mitteilen. Alle Weine hatten nicht den Charakter, der nach den Ortsbezeichnungen erwartet werden durfte. Vier Weine von der Karte waren im Restaurant nicht mehr vorhanden. Mit 9,50 € für die Menge von 250 ml waren die Weine reichlich überteuert. Insgesamt haben meine Geschäftspartner und ich festgestellt, dass die Essen im Restaurant Da Romeo wieder nicht die Qualität und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis erfüllen, welches es als italienisches Restaurant vorgaukelt. Ein Besuch ist nicht zu empfehlen.

We went for the second time based on a recommendation Time here and enjoyed an Italian evening in the small wine-covered guest garden. Drinks are great, as is the greeting from the kitchen, but the pizza is worth the long journey. Not your run-of-the-mill Italian, very tasty food and nice service. In addition to the menu, there are also seasonal special dishes (currently chanterelles). The food and wine were excellent and the service was also courteous. The only thing that takes some getting used to for us Hamburgers is that the kitchen is actually only open until 8:45 p.m. (an exception was made for our dessert, thank you again for that) and the restaurant closes at 10 p.m. We would have liked to have stayed longer.

I have eaten at an Italian restaurant many times in the last few months, I might even say years. However, I have rarely seen so many individual, delicious and homemade dishes on the menu as here. Homemade delicious bread, homemade pasta, my own creations of bruschetta and even the truffle oil in my pasta was well measured. It's a shame that Romeo is at home so far away from us. Or maybe good, otherwise I would be here at least weekly.

Absolutely not recommended! I have never been treated so unkindly and rudely! Mind you, this doesn't apply to the nice waiter who just started! He was super nice and sensitive! (The 2 stars for the service are just for him! I would also give him 5, but that would be too misleading since unfortunately almost only the boss served us). The boss is anything but empathetic! First to eat: Mixed salad: 3 leaves of lettuce, 3 slices of champion, 3 slices of cucumber, 3 slices of tomato and a few grated carrots - very small! 6.80 euros. When asked about this, they said that salad was expensive and it was my fault for not reading correctly! Mind you, it didn't say anything about small salad! The highlight, however, was the vegetarian pizza: with tons of puree and carrots! When I told my family that I didn't like pork and that I didn't think it was typically Italian that it was on a pizza with carrots, the boss happened to overhear this and started loudly discussing that I was her and her kitchen would offend and this is very typical in Calabria (It's not! I found out from a reliable source in Calabria!). The highlight, however, was when she shouted loudly in front of all the other guests that I should go to the Albanian where I could get my Italian pizza. She couldn't stop making me and my family look stupid in front of all the other guests! As for the rest of the meal: the pizza was simply not good! Very hard, thin, etc. The salmon in the pasta tasted watery and kind of weird. The salad was the best in terms of taste, thanks to the really delicious dressing! And the bruschetta wasn't bad either. In any case, I ate exactly one slice of my pizza, but couldn't eat any more because I simply lost my appetite. Towards the end, when I thought all the guests had left, I tried to talk to her again, which resulted in a very loud discussion and again involving the remaining 2 guests (my apologies again to these two! I hadn't seen them and didn't want to certainly not spoiling their evening) ended. I also had to pay for the pizza because I supposedly ate half of it and twice for the salad, even though we only had one of those... The boss didn't stop arguing and was absolutely unreasonable, even though I kept saying it tried to give in. But I didn't want to pay for the pizza for the reasons mentioned, whereupon I had to hear loudly that this was typically German and that I was only making the whole fuss because I didn't want to pay for the pizza... that was so typical for the Germans.... I myself have worked in the catering industry for years and would like to say that you shouldn't treat your guests like that! Just stunned!
