A truly fantastic restaurant! The service was excellent – ​​the staff very friendly and attentive. The food was not only beautifully presented but also tasted absolutely delicious. You simply feel completely at home at Da Renato – highly recommended!

Ambience, service, prices, everything was top-notch. The bruschetta was fantastic, unfortunately the pizza wasn't quite right, but the other dishes that were served were truly a feast for the eyes. The highlight, which really surprised me, was the dessert... affogato... A very original, top-notch idea. The service was amazing and super friendly.

Everything here is simply fantastic. The food, the staff, the ambiance...I have no complaints. We love coming here, whether it's just the two of us or a large group. There's something for every budget, and no one goes home hungry. Pizza, pasta, salads, meat and fish, desserts, and wines...I can recommend everything. The service is also very friendly and courteous. Another small plus for me is that they put a small bowl of antipasti (mainly olives) with delicious bread on the table. That's fantastic!

Weak dishes cannot keep up with the prices

I've been to Renato twice within a short period of time and can only recommend it without reservation. Great food, both pasta and pizza, the bruschetta was a dream; I could have eaten four of it alone. Super friendly staff, definitely one of the places you should visit in Bad Schönborn.

Turned away yesterday after a 10-hour drive! They argued there was room for two guests, but it would be too crowded with our dog. The friendliness was zero!!! We're experienced when it comes to the friendliness of Italian people, and it's top-notch! But this restaurant is definitely not worth visiting, at least not if you have a dog. Anyone staying at the Hotel Villa Medici (dogs welcome) or another hotel or inn, like us, should find another restaurant!

We left hungry! The portion of spaghetti aglio e olio was really very small. As if they couldn't add a few more spaghetti (pasta doesn't cost the earth). It's incomprehensible, and for €19.90, that's for sure! And the service was completely overwhelmed; we had to ask for everything three times... yes, it was busy, but things are still better elsewhere. There's still plenty of room for improvement.

The food was very good as always, but the service couldn't keep up! 5-star food. Even though it was a holiday today, they should at least check if guests still have drinks! A second order of drinks was placed, but unfortunately, it didn't find the table. We actually wanted dessert, but skipped both. After waiting 45 minutes, we asked for the bill and paid. And no, I didn't ask because I just wanted to see how attentive the service was. What a shame!!!

Easter Monday, it was packed, and we didn't have a reservation. We were just passing through. After a brief back and forth, the owner plucked up the courage and seated us at a table for two... a very nice gesture, and he probably noticed our tired and hungry eyes... regardless, a unique place, and the food even better. Drinks came quickly, the food delicious. Highly recommended. If you want Italian in this area, it's here! We'll be back... WE came back and were not disappointed. Consistently good quality and excellent service. Please keep it up! We'll be back :))

We spontaneously drove past on Sunday after an excursion and got a place without a reservation. Very courteous service, super friendly and fast. The food was super tasty, highly recommended. There are many Italian restaurants in this corner, but not all of them are good. Therefore I can only recommend Da Renato, very hospitable. It's worth a visit, but it's best to reserve in advance

Ambiance first class, nice seating under the vines. The service is great, very attentive. As for the meal itself, the schnitzel could have used a little more salt and pepper for our taste, and the fries as a side dish could have been given two more minutes in the deep fryer. Involtini was excellent, the side salad and vegetables were great.

A nice Italian restaurant with a cozy garden terrace. Nice service, fast service. In addition to pizza (great dough!) and pasta, they also do fish and meat very well. Be it steak, involtini, saltimbocca... I always liked it. Respect for the mushroom sauces, an extra point for the Bolognese sauce.

Eaten deliciously. Had a salad with extra pizza bread. The salad portion was large and the pizza bread was extremely tasty and fluffy. Unfortunately, the noise level in the fully occupied interior is a bit high. But all in all a visit worth it.

Damn good food! Be careful, large portions, you have to be very hungry! Eating on the terrace was great, the waitresses were very quick. We had a nice evening :)

One of the best Italian restaurants I've ever been to. The food was more than satisfactory for all guests (there were 11 of us). Regardless of size, taste and quality. Price performance is therefore also very good. Service was friendly, funny and attentive. Ambiance in the restaurant was very nice. Unfortunately we weren't on the terrace. But it will be made up for. Definitely not the last visit!

A restaurant run with authentic friendliness, the pizza tastes wonderful!

From the reservation for 14 people for May 10th, to the phone call from the owner asking whether it would stay at 14, to the welcome, to the flexibility when ordering - top. It doesn't get any better. Homemade pasta mista was perfectly prepared for 3 people, although this dish is (unfortunately) no longer on the menu. The vegetarian's unpopular peppers were replaced with fresh asparagus on the Vegetable pizza. All 14 were enthusiastic about the taste and presentation of the chosen dishes. Finally, the tiramisu caused astonishment - here the individual components were served and finished at the table. The boss himself, but also the service staff, were attentive and friendly. In summary - we felt in good hands and can only recommend "da Renato".

We liked the atmosphere so much when we picked it up that we went to the restaurant with 6 people on Saturday evening, there was nothing to complain about, delicious food from starters to dessert, nice attentive service, everything was great!

We were passing through with the camper when we passed by here: so no reservation and fortunately more than enough space. The dog was allowed inside and it was carefully taken into account that there would be no clash with another dog and that adjacent tables would not be bothered by us. Extensive meal: starter, main course and dessert. Everything was delicious! The scampi and sauce were very tasty, as well as the bruschetta and melon. The pizzas were freshly made and well topped: not too full and not too thin. We could have used the base to be thinner, but having said that: it was airy and crispy, so it was well baked. Dessert was a nice and original tiramisu. Really delicious food. The staff was nice, attentive (when they heard the knife fall, they immediately came from the adjacent room to refresh), and came regularly (and not pushy or too often) to check whether everything was in order. The menu is very extensive with a lot of diverse choices. Definitely recommended!

Wir sind unangemeldet zu zweit in das Restaurant gegangen. Ohne Reservierung. Bei der Art wie man da abgewimmelt wird vergeht einem der Appetit. Dies geschah direkt nach Öffnung. Der komplette Laden war leer. Wir waren halt nur 2 Das ist wahrscheinlich Grund genug Gäste schroff abzuweisen und es schon fast als Beleidigung aufzunehmen, da man ja dann nicht genug verdient. Una belle Compania. No Grazie

Great atmosphere with very tasty food. We had snail soup as a starter. It was delicious and the main course was a mixed fish platter with vegetables for two people and a side salad. The fish and seafood were cooked to perfection. The price for the food is absolutely justified. We will come back in any case.

Great restaurant and delicious food. Luckily we had a reservation because the restaurant was completely booked on Saturday evening. The restaurant has a great ambience and is very cozy, although a bit noisy. Nevertheless, we felt very comfortable and the service was great! Our dishes came quickly and were very tasty. There are small boards all over the restaurant with special offers on dishes. We would have liked this as a small flyer in the regular menu or as a note from the service staff, because unfortunately we saw it too late and might have ordered one or two dishes from the tables ;) we would love to come back!

We made a reservation there. So initially there would have been 5 of us, our friends had to cancel at short notice due to illness, and then there were only 3 of us. When we arrived, we said so straight away. He brought us to the table, pulled the two tables apart (30cm) and asked us to sit down. It was too crowded and too close to each other for us if someone else had sat down at the other table. When we asked, we were given another table, which was actually the same size as the one that had been pulled apart before... It was very cold there. All three of us were freezing. The boss is way too loud and hectic. You can hear him constantly screaming (speaking very loudly) and causing unrest. Eat: The portions were large, the salad was very small. My husband ordered snails with chanterelles as a starter. He had to look for the snails. Bruchetta was good - more like pizza bread and tomatoes thrown on top Salad too much vinegar Schnitzel from Fritöse Fries very thin, not that great. Sauce was the same as the snails, nothing special. You have to say that at the Italian restaurant you should probably also eat pizza or something similar, but the menu with the many meat dishes sounded so good that we decided on schnitzel. We paid 82 odd euros for it plus drinks... a proud price. We had a voucher for 150 euros and a new one was issued so that we could possibly give it away as we no longer live here. The boss talked so quickly and was of course stressed again that they agreed on a round amount (60.00). Normally we would have had to get an additional 7.20 back. We didn't see any more of that. It was too stupid for us. We won't come back, even if the pizza tastes good, because it's just too stressful for us and the boss is too loud - you just hear him all the time
