Es ist ein, mit Liebe, geführtes Familienrestaurant. Der Servicegedanke wird gelebt, die Freundlichkeit ist ehrlich, die Küche sucht ihres Gleichen👍🏼. Auch die 5 Zimmer, die man buchen kann, sind in einwandfreiem, sauberen und modernen Zustand. 5 Sterne sind voll gerechtfertigt.

Super Küche mit einer feinen Empfehlung jenseits der Speisekarte. Sehr freundlicher und überaus aufmerksamer Service. Spaghetti mit Trüffel, frisch am Tisch gehobelt sowie Heilbutt am Tisch filetiert. Hier kommen wir sehr gern wieder! Erneuter Besuch. Und wieder sind wir schockverliebt! Ich hatte wirklich selten ein so tolles Gesamterlebnis wie hier! Vom Aperitif über die Vorspeise bis hin zum Dessert waren wir ausnahmslos begeistert. Auch der Service ist super herzlich ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Der Weg von fast 30 km dorthin hat sich gelohnt und wir werden hier wohl zukünftig öfter vorbeischauen. Ich hatte den Eindruck es wurde alles frisch modernisiert und trotzdem war vor allem der große Außenbereich super gemütlich und geschmackvoll. Urlaubsgefühle garantiert! Jeder „besondere“ Wunsch wurde uns erfüllt und noch mehr. Vielen Dank für ein tolles Geburtstags-Essen!

War mit einer Freundin dort.einfach super ausgebautes Restaurant. Sehr freundliches Personal ,auch wenn de Laden voll ist. Das Essen vorzüglich. MAN KONNTE IN DIE Küche schauen. Wurden lauter sehr lecker aussehende Gerichte produziert.so waren früher viele Italiener.Heute leider in der perfekten Art selten.Preis/ Leistung stimmig.Bis zum nächsten Mal.

Warum nur 3 Sterne? Das Essen war leider unter dem Durchschnitt, zu wenig Geschmack und generell etwas lieblos. Der Service war wirklich super! Eine Klimaanlage bei fast 40 Grad wäre ratsam.

Wir sind spontan dort hin gegangen, der Service war zuvorkommend und herzlich, wir mussten nicht lange auf unsere Bestellung warten. Die Atmosphäre dort lässt an eine italienische Großfamilie erinnern, freundlich, herzlich und unterhaltsam. Die Pizzen waren knusprig gebacken, weder trocken noch verbrannt, einfach einzigartig lecker!!! Wenn wir mal wieder in der Gegend sind kommen wir sicher wieder.

Familiär geführtes Restaurant mit Sitzplätzen drinnen und draußen. Essen war gut, Personal sehr freundlich. Es werden auch Zimmer angeboten . Parkplätze kostenfrei in der Nähe (großer Parkplatz hinter dem Edeka am Südring)

Leider hat die Qualität der Speisen und des Service abgenommen. Die Pizza ist teilweise wenig liebevoll und sparsam belegt und das Pizzabrot schlapp. Vielleicht hat das was mit den Mengen zu tun, die hergestellt werden müssen oder dass der alte Koch in Rente gegangen ist. Der italienische Salat stimmt vom Preisleistungsverhältnis einfach nicht.

Sympathische, familiäre Atmosphäre und superleckeres Essen! Absolut zu empfehlen!

Wir haben köstlich gegessen; es war preiswert und die Portionen waren großzügig. Auf dem Weg zum Nationalen Automobilmuseum haben wir eine Nacht in dem schönen Apartment verbracht. Es ist gut gelegen, bietet kostenlose Parkplätze und eine herrliche Aussicht. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und nimmt sich Zeit für ein nettes Gespräch. Diese Region ist leider nicht sehr touristisch, was schade ist, denn sie ist wunderschön.

Sehr leckeres Essen! Spaghetti aus dem Parmesanleib mit Trüffel, Feldsalat mit Scampi, Vitello Tonnato und Muscheln in Tomatensud, alles perfekt! Das Lokal war an diesem Abend sehr gut besucht und dennoch war der Service aufmerksam und freundlich! Wir gehen sehr gerne dort hin und reservieren rechtzeitig! Nachtrag: Auf einen Espresso werden wir allerdings künftig verzichten! Den Preis von 3,60 Euro finden wir nicht mehr angemessen!

Ich bin hier schon viele Male beruflich gewesen und sowohl Restaurant als auch Hotelzimmer sind einfach perfekt. Fühle mich wie daheim und unter Freunden. Das Ankreuz-Konzept für das Frühstück finde ich sowohl ökonomisch als auch ökologisch einfach schlau. Es wird nichts weg geschmissen und jeder bekommt was er will. Und zwar nicht irgendwelche billig Produkte sondern 1A Qualität. Wurde noch nie enttäuscht. Glaube das wird in dem Leben auch nicht mehr passieren. Grazie di tutto! Continua così! 👍

Mega Schnitzel und super Personal

Wir waren aus gesundheitlichen Gründen 2 Jahre nicht mehr dort. Man hatte uns tatsächlich vermisst und sehr herzlich begrüßt und sich rührend um uns gekümmert. Wir fühlten uns wie Ehrengäste. Das Lokal war an einem normalen Freitag bereits um 19.00 Uhr bis auf den letzten Platz besetzt. Es ist unser Restaurant, wenn wir einmal gut essen und uns wohlfühlen möchten. Wir fahren 40 km zu diesem Ort.

Außergewöhnliche Gerichte, exzellente Zubereitung, neuer moderner Anbau mit Showküche.

Wir waren inzwischen zweimal im Da Giovanni Ristorante & Pizzeria in Weidenhausen, jeweils mit meiner Frau, unserem Sohn und unserer Schwiegertochter und beide Besuche haben uns überzeugt. Das Essen war jedes Mal sehr gut: frisch zubereitet, geschmacklich hervorragend und schön angerichtet. Man merkt, dass hier Wert auf Qualität gelegt wird. Besonders positiv aufgefallen ist uns außerdem die Bedienung, ausgesprochen freundlich, aufmerksam und gleichzeitig angenehm unaufdringlich. Die Atmosphäre ist gemütlich, sodass man gerne etwas länger sitzen bleibt und die Zeit dort genießt. Für uns steht fest: Wir kommen wieder und können das Restaurant uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. 👍🍕

Einfach spitze! Dritter Besuch, einfach grandios. Bin schon viel rum gekommen aber hier findet man eine echte Perle. Sgroppino, alkoholfrei? Kein Problem, wird mal eben eine alkoholfreie Variante entworfen. Und dann auch noch soooo mega lecker! Hab mich noch nie so schnell irgendwo wie bei Freunden gefühlt, hier wird alles getan um sich als Gast wohl und umsorgt zu fühlen. Hier würde ich mir wünschen, ich könnte einen sechsten Stern für außergewöhnlich vergeben.

Ich bin seit Jahren SEHR zufriedener Gast und Kunde. Alles in allem,, 15 Rangpunkte, das ist eine 1. Danke für alles, ihr seit spitze.

Geniale Adresse zum übernachten! Die Zimmer sind groß, modern und sehr sauber. Das Team ist absolute Spitzenklasse und der Service ist Weltklasse! Auch das Essen ist 5/5 Sterne! Die Fleisch- und Nudelgerichte kann man ausnahmslos empfehlen. Ich werde zu 100% wieder kommen, vielen Dank für den tollen Aufenthalt.

Ich kenne kein besseres italienisches Restaurant! Das Essen wird aus frischen Zutaten zubereitet und schmeckt einfach immer super lecker. Preisleistung ist gerechtfertigt! Der neue Anbau hat ein sehr schönes Ambiente und die Bedienungen sind wie immer sehr freundlich. Leider habe ich vergessen von meinem leckeren Essen ein Foto zu machen. Hatte als Vorspeise einen Feldsalat mit Gambas; als Hauptgericht die Steinpilztortelloni; als Nachtisch die Pistazienkugel mit Erdbeersauce😋😋😋

Heute durch einen absoluten Zufall dort eingekehrt. Ein wirklich schönes kleines und sehr gemütliches Lokal. Unterstrichen wird dieses noch durch das freundliche und sympathische Team. Das Essen war absolute Klasse, lange nicht mehr eine so leckere Pizza gegessen. Ein ganz großes Dankeschön an das ganze Team 👍🏻

Wie immer alles super. Sehr aufmerksamer und freundlicher Service. Ein klasse Essen (authentische italienische Küche) und das alles zu einem fairen Preis. Immer wieder gerne. Ich freue mich schon, wenn die schöne Sommerterrasse wieder geöffnet ist.

Wir waren bei Da Giovanni essen, ich fand das Essen nicht so gut, Pizzabrot war sehr hart, Frutti di Mare sah aus, als käme es aus einer Dose, könnte man besser machen und den Lachs obendrauf passte gar nicht geschmacklich dazu! Das bisschen Tiramisu für fast 10.- Euro, dass ist wirklich eine Frechheit, das geht gar nicht. Ich bin wirklich entsetzt, habe so viel Geld da gelassen und es hat nicht geschmeckt. Der Anbau hinten ist schön, dass war das einigste Gute und der Service war auch super in Ordnung.

Wie immer zu spät. Essen kalt aber Nix anderes erwartet. Combi matschig das kleine Kinder mit spielen können. Pommes lasch wie Kaugummi.

Pizza bestellt, Teig überhaupt nicht durch. Pommes sehen aus wie 2 Wochen alt. Lasagne ein Matschhaufen.

Seit vielen Jahren ist dieses italienische Restaurant mein absoluter Lieblingsitaliener und das aus gutem Grund. Das Essen ist durchweg hervorragend, frisch und mit ganz viel Liebe zubereitet. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich das Glutenfreie Angebot: Die Speisen sind nicht kontaminiert, was leider alles andere als selbstverständlich ist. Man merkt sofort, dass hier wirklich auf Bedürfnisse und Unverträglichkeiten geachtet wird. Der Service ist unglaublich herzlich, aufmerksam und persönlich. Wir fühlen uns jedes Mal willkommen und bestens aufgehoben. Genau diese Kombination aus großartigem Essen, Vertrauen und liebevollem Service macht dieses Restaurant für uns so besonders. Für uns immer wieder ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen und Genießen. Macht weiter so! :)

Der Service war außergewöhnlich aufmerksam, das Essen hervorragend und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Die Atmosphäre war warm und gemütlich, perfekt für einen besonderen Abend. Das gesamte Personal war unglaublich freundlich und herzlich. Als krönenden Abschluss haben wir sogar eine Weinflasche geschenkt bekommen eine wunderschöne Geste🥰. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder und können das Restaurant von Herzen weiterempfehlen! 🍷✨

Our galzone was bordering on inedible. Sour pickled mushrooms and peppers were combined with spicy salami, embedded in a thick, flavorless crust. Last but not least, the price was very high for this quality. It's a real shame; I had expected much more based on the great reviews and was thoroughly disappointed.

Very tasty food, friendly staff and good service.

There are many Italian restaurants in the area, but this is by far the best. A very good menu, a great atmosphere, excellent service, and the food is very, very good. Unfortunately, there are so many different things on the menu that our vacation was too short for that. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely stop by. The family puts their whole heart into it, and their guests feel it, too.

Very nice restaurant, service and atmosphere are excellent. Two stars for that. Unfortunately, the pizza isn't a good fit. We had four pizzas... so it wasn't an isolated incident. The base was unreadable, soggy, and the tomato sauce was sour. No cheese, but tons of toppings that were soaked through. If even frozen pizza tastes better, it's time to take a look at the kitchen. It's a shame; I won't be coming back for a while.

The pizzas arrived cold. The flavor has deteriorated significantly recently – any frozen pizza has more flavor. The dough is far too thin and soggy. The tomato sauce tastes like Miracoli's ready-made sauce. A pizza from an Italian restaurant should taste better. We ordered there last time. Update 3.08.25 I was honestly quite disappointed. I ordered the lamb's lettuce with croutons, tomatoes, and chicken – for a whopping €15.90. The salad itself was fresh, but the quantity of ingredients was in no way justified: a maximum of six small cherry tomatoes, a few croutons, and – if that – 50 to 100 grams of chicken breast. Particularly annoying: The vegetarian version of the salad costs €9.20 – meaning you pay over €6 extra for a mini portion of chicken. I can easily get five times as much meat at the butcher or discount store. I'm willing to pay for quality and good food—but here the value for money just isn't right. What a shame.

Delicious pizza but you are sitting in a crowded room very noisy but the food is fine and fresh!

We ordered there, waited, and then took the food with us. A small Hawaiian pizza costs 10.60 euros. A large ham pizza, the one shown in the photo, costs a whopping 16.40 euros. That's a bad joke. Both pizzas are missing cheese. You can't even call it cheese on a pizza. I've never eaten such a bad pizza. There's more on a frozen pizza. For us, it was a unique experience. We won't be visiting this pizzeria again.

Because of the many positive reviews and surveys, I decided to try the restaurant and even traveled a long way to do it. Unfortunately, the pizza was one of the worst I've ever eaten. How can an Italian make such a pizza base?

The food has deteriorated considerably since the son took over; it's nothing special and expensive, too. The employees drive around the street, agreements aren't kept, there's a lack of respect, and unfortunately, there's no consideration... And the ambiance isn't pleasant, but rather pretentious.

A beautiful hotel in a quiet location with a great mix of modern style and historic architecture. The rooms are new, ultra-modern, and very comfortable. The Italian food in the restaurant was delicious – highly recommended! Particularly noteworthy: the friendly and helpful staff, who made the stay even more pleasant.

It's like the train station at the front, I can't say anything about the other rooms. The staff are very friendly. The food was a disaster, the loin was so dry that it got stuck in my throat, the asparagus was wooden and the rosemary potatoes weren't seasoned (that's why the prices are peppery), the pizza my companion was unfortunately not cooked through in the middle, almost raw dough. Paid full price. Arrived with high expectations, drove disappointed. Too bad

Had very tasty Italian food here. The starters were of the best quality. The pasta was tasty and the portion size was sufficient. The service was great, very friendly and friendly. We'll definitely come back. Reservations are recommended.

A little culinary trip to Italy - in the middle of Hesse Today we visited for the first time as a family of three (with a six-year-old child) - and what can I say? We felt completely comfortable from the first to the last minute. It was one of those rare evenings where everything really fell into place. Atmosphere, service, food – simply a hit. As soon as we entered the restaurant we were warmly welcomed; the atmosphere was relaxed and familiar. By the way, I found two things particularly nice: Firstly: Our son was not only treated kindly, but also cared for with genuine warmth. This is by no means a given and plays a crucial role in making you feel welcome as a family. Secondly: We were also given a loving and detailed farewell, which is also not usual everywhere. You wouldn't think so ;) but there are supposed to be restaurateurs who, after paying the bill, are no longer quite as committed as before... Not the case here. At Ristorante “Da Giovanni”, you can tell that people really enjoy what they do. Very cool experience! We treated ourselves to a full meal – starter, main course, dessert and coffee. And every single dish was on point. Whether fish, saltimbocca or panna cotta – everything tasted outstanding and was prepared with noticeable attention to detail. I would particularly like to mention the espresso: for me it is always a kind of litmus test for real Italian quality - and it was absolutely perfect here. You immediately notice that someone here knows what they are doing. Everything came to the table hot and fresh and even though there wasn't exactly a lot to do, the waiting time was always just right. We were also impressed by the ambience of the restaurant. The division into several smaller, lovingly designed rooms creates a wonderfully cozy, almost private feeling. You really have the feeling of sitting in a traditional trattoria or osteria - just not somewhere in Tuscany or Trentino, but in the middle of Hesse. This combination of authenticity and locality is something very special. Everything is just right in terms of price. The standard of food is well above average - and yet the pricing remains fair and reasonable. As I was leaving, I thought to myself: It would have easily cost 2-3 euros more per dish without being able to complain. But I firmly assume that the operators know exactly what they are doing and calculate their prices with a sense of proportion. Special praise goes to Alessandro (I hope I picked up your name correctly) - the young restaurateur who acts with so much commitment, kindness and natural talent as if he had never done anything else. His parents can be really proud of him. (And yes, I admit it: I envy your RL bear sweater... on my wish list for years!) Unfortunately, with all the enjoyment, I forgot to take photos... But you wouldn't be able to capture the amazing taste anyway, so all you have to do is go and experience it for yourself. You won't regret it, I promise. Conclusion: If you really want to eat Italian food in the region - really good, with heart and soul - you should definitely stop by here. We'll definitely come back when we're nearby! Please keep it up because it's absolutely perfect.
