Absolutely amazing place with super friendly staff, you immediately feel at home. Long standing family business with tons of hospitality, fun, very delicious food, excellent service - if you have been here once, you will surely return! Lots of leisure activity options in the beautiful surrounding places. We were about to arrive for our stay late in the evening, just about at the restaurant closing time - the owners have been very flexibly agreeing to preparing our food to the time we arrive, it was a life saver, Thank you so much! Breakfast delivered to your room. Beautiful and very comfortable rooms and apartments, very well equipped. We will come back, Guys, we already miss You!

The food was great, the portions were plentiful. The service is also quite great. When you leave the restaurant you feel like you've made friends here. Something like that is unique. Thank you for that!

Be sure to reserve. This is an absolute “insider tip”. Located out of the way. A really high quality Italian restaurant. I had venison ham as a starter and veal cheeks as a main course. Of course there is also pizza. And it is phenomenal. But the store is so good that it's almost always full. Be sure to reserve.

My favorite Italian around the corner

Very nice atmosphere, everything is very, very tight but cozy and not unpleasant. The service was very friendly but not quite up to par in terms of attention. This is/was possibly due to the number of guests? Now about the food. As we all know, this is a matter of taste 😁 Unfortunately I have to agree with many other reviews!! I had a pizza (seafood) and I immediately got the impression of TK Forced pizza! The pizza I chose had a somewhat sour taste that I initially associated with lemon juice. In the end, however, it seemed to me that the seafood was pickled sour!!??? Overall the school grade for the pizza: Very weak 4 with a tendency towards 5. This pizza has nothing to do with Italy and is more reminiscent of the quality of pizza delivery from Anatolia. What a shame!! It's a shame for this nice shop. Next time I'll try pasta and then decide whether I'll come back.

We have a lot of friends and supporters of Pizzaria Da Giovanni in our family and circle of friends, but unfortunately we have to admit that the quality of the food has deteriorated significantly. It's not bad by any means, but it's not what it used to be either. The only thing that hasn't gone down is the prices. And I think the price/performance ratio no longer fits. We ordered there again today after a long time. It can happen that you forget one thing when you have 7 dishes... but then the Mariu pizza that is delivered is only lukewarm, the topping is very bland and the base is lamby like a frozen pizza - but at €13.70 it is steep. The included salads weren't particularly appetizing either.

We go there regularly and always go home satisfied. Food always great! Service and friendliness 6(!) out of 5 stars! The atmosphere is generally cozy, although it can sometimes get very crowded. When you sit in the entrance area it's not always so pleasant.

I have been a loyal guest at this wonderful Italian restaurant for over 30 years and it has never disappointed me. The combination of outstanding food, warm hospitality and an authentic atmosphere makes this restaurant a true gem. The menu offers classic Italian dishes prepared with great attention to detail and high quality ingredients. The homemade pasta in particular is an absolute highlight - you can literally taste the tradition and craftsmanship. The pizzas, crispy and thin, take you straight to Naples. The wine selection is also excellent and perfectly balanced. The team that has accompanied me over the years is warm and attentive without seeming intrusive. You are always welcomed with a smile and after all these years it almost feels like a second home. It is this personal touch that makes the restaurant so special. For me, this restaurant is not just a place to eat, but a piece of quality of life. I would highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates authentic Italian cuisine and a warm ambience. Eating asparagus at an Italian restaurant? Definitely yes! You will be rewarded with a culinary delight: wonderfully tender and slightly al dente, aromatic asparagus meets a delicious Hollandaise sauce and crispy, tender Viennese schnitzel. It couldn't be better - the cream of asparagus soup was also delicious Thank you for a lovely birthday, which I enjoyed celebrating with my wife over a great meal

For me the best pizzeria ever. The all-round package, service, very friendly staff, food, everything was perfect. Unfortunately I was only visiting, otherwise I would eat there more often. But definitely again next year.

We took advantage of the good weather and ate in the courtyard area (beer garden...). The service was quick, friendly and competent. The food was very good and served quite quickly. We then looked at the cozy interiors for later visits; It wasn't the last time we were there!

We were here twice within eight days, that speaks for itself. On our first visit we were immediately impressed by the friendly staff and the good, fresh food. My husband had a starter plate as his main course. A delicious pizza bread was also served. Grandpa had medallions with mushrooms, zucchini vegetables and potatoes. I had the regular Wiener Schnitzel with fries and salad. Everything was super tasty. For dessert I had a large scoop of pistachio ice cream, with fresh strawberries, blueberries and blackberries, strawberry sauce, some cream, beautifully presented on a plate. We had to wait a bit that day because food was being served to a small group of people in the large dining room. But the wait was worth it. Everyone here is friendly and nice. Today we were here again, my birthday dinner! My husband had monkfish and Grandpa and I had sole. The fish was fresh and deliciously prepared. The side salads, twice with yoghurt dressing and once with balsamic dressing, were also fresh and delicious. At our request there was also delicious pizza bread. I couldn't miss the pistachio ice cream again. All in all, a super clean place with a friendly atmosphere, we are happy to have found out about this pizzeria through an article in the regional newspaper. We'd love to come back!

Da Giovanni is really exceptionally good. Always first-class cuisine, lots of variety on offer and a top price-performance ratio. The service is always very warm and competent. I can really only recommend it

We ate there and sat outside, which was pleasant. Nice waiter. It's a shame they were closed on Thursday. Otherwise we would have gone there again for my birthday. Delicious salad. And pizza was good too. Parking is a bit difficult. Due to construction work in front of the door. But otherwise you can also park at Edeka.

I had dinner with friends at the Pizzeria Da Giovanni in Weidenhausen. We all really enjoyed it. The food was very good as well as the service. This is a real family business. We were the guests who left last, which was probably because we had a long conversation with the operator. A super nice family business. We'd love to come back.

Went to this lovely restaurant for the first time (as a family) on our way to Marburg. Everything was really right there: quality, service, ambience and the price. Conclusion: We'll be back!

Delicious and incredibly friendly

Today there were six of us and our boss (one and a half years old) for lunch. The food was all great, the service was excellent. The friendliness towards the little boss was almost family-like.

I had only heard good things from friends and was there for the first time. I immediately felt welcome. The staff were super friendly and it gave a very familiar impression. The food was served quickly even though it was busy. It was visually very appealing and tasted very good. The price-performance ratio is right and I will definitely go there again. A very clear recommendation.

Unfortunately everything is very tight and hectic. Pizza was mediocre and nothing special for this price. Waiting time over an hour. All in all, a lot of room for improvement...

Zackige, schnelle und sehr freundliche Bedienungen, und das ist in der heutigen Zeit bei so vielen, anstrengenden Menschen/Gästen gar nicht mehr so leicht und verständlich ;-) Das Essen ist qualitativ super frisch und lecker. Klar,dass Ambiente ist sehr eng und laut, aber wem das nicht passt, der kann ja auch woanders Essen gehen.

This is a very friendly, well-established, multi-gen Italian in a very backwatery area of Germany - the village subdivision of another village in what is really called the Hinterland, in a very nice traditional house. Foreign restaurants in Germany, in the 60s and 70s, were almost entirely Italian, always with a pizza emphasis (and some Chinese), and this is the type, just quite elevated and with a good quality of the food. This is pleasant to see, but the food is German village Italian on a high level - just to be clear. If one is in the area, this is a highly recommended place, and the service is really outstanding. However, the food is more good than outstanding, prices are on the higher side for the region, the seating is very cramped and the restaurant itself quite stuffy, and as has been remarked, there's just enough mistakes made in delivery that it's noticeable. Free private parking in the courtyard.

Wir sind hier schon seit einigen Jahren Gäste. Es ist für uns das beste Restaurant weit und breit. Frische italienische Küche, gute Weine und sehr freundlicher Service. Ein gewisses Etwas, zeichnet das Lokal aus.

Trotz Überfüllung des Restaurants am 1.sten Weihnachtsfeiertag immer freundliche Bedienungen, das Essen kam für 13 Leute bei uns am Tisch gleichzeitig. Das einzige Manko... es gab nichts zu meckern oder zu bemängeln. 😉 Danke, wir werden euch weiter empfehlen.

Im Nachhinein können wir nur sagen: Großes Glück. :) Das Team ist sehr jung, total aufmerksam und absolut freundlich. Das Ambiente des Restaurants ist zeitgemäß und sehr gemütlich...und das Essen? Chefs Kiss! :D Also die Pizza ist genauso spitze gewesen wie die Pasta. Vorspeise und Dessert waren ebenfalls rundum gelungen. Wir kommen wieder. Das ist eine (liebevolle) Drohung. Absolute Empfehlung! :)
