Die Lasagne war pappig und mit ganz wenig Fleisch, Qualität also unterdurchschnittlich. Bei sehr kühlem Wetter öffnete die Bedienung fortwährend die Fronttür, so dass es im Restaurant sehr zugig und damit sehr ungemütlich war

Jedes Mal, wenn wir in Karlstadt sind, gehen wir zu Francesco...

Sehr zu empfehlen. Lage klasse, Preise in Ordnung, Essen sehr lecker. Vor allem die Nudeln mit Meeresfrüchte waren großartig. Sehr viele Garnelen und Muscheln und die Jakobsmuschel war die nussigste die ich je gegessen habe.

Spontan und ohne Reservierung wurden wir herzlich mit einem Prosecco, auf Grund der Wartezeit auf einen frei werdenden Tisch vom Chef, empfangen. Super leckere, frische Küche, lecker Dessert und freundlicher Service. Immer ein Besuch wert!

Der Service war nicht sehr aufmerksam

Wir waren vom Essen (Gegrillter Tintenfisch mit Rosmarinkartoffeln) vollkommen begeistert. Ein sehr große Portion Tintenfisch, die wir aber nicht geschafft haben. Der Besitzer ist auch der Koch und er versteht sein Handwerk perfekt. In Italien isst man nicht besser! Wir haben uns pudelwohl gefühlt. Absute Empfehlung!

Lecker Essen, Höfliche Bedingung.

Wir waren heute zum ersten Mal hier und sind sehr zufrieden! Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und das Essen war super lecker und frisch! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder :) sehr zu empfehlen!

Essen sehr lecker bei riesiger Auswahl und gemütlichem und freundlichem Service

Waren das erste Mal hier und sicherlich nicht das letzte Mal. Sehr leckere Bruschetta als Vorspeise und zum Hauptgang einen hervorragenden Thunfisch mit Zitronensoße. Auch wenn der gewünschte Gargrad nicht ganz getroffen wurde war es geschmacklich sehr lecker. Dazu ein reichhaltiger schmackhafter Salatteller der in anderen Restaurants als Hauptgericht angeboten wird. Dazu beim bezahlen ein Preisnachlass wegen dem Thunfisch. Der Service war ebenfalls sehr zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Wir waren begeistert und kommen sicherlich wieder.

It was nice, but they once made the wrong food.

The food wasn't to our satisfaction. We ordered pasta with porcini mushrooms and Italian sausage. Unfortunately, porcini mushrooms weren't available, and the portion was very small for €18. Furthermore, my colleague didn't feel well at all after the pizza, as it was far too oily. Unfortunately, the value for money here isn't right.

Our favorite restaurant—our first stop after our vacation. As always, delicious food, a friendly atmosphere, and great service. Thank you very much. We'll be back again and again.

First things first: The food is delicious and flavorful. The portions are generous. The service definitely has room for improvement. There were three of us and we asked for a table. Apparently, everything outside was reserved, but we still found a spot for the seven people who arrived after us...we weren't as profitable as the seven people. Three servers for inside and outside is quite a feat, and one of them even served drinks. We waited a long time for the food...1 pizza, 1 tagliatelle, 1 fish platter, and salad...the tagliatelle was only brought upon request...sorry. It was a bit odd that the Coke arrived unopened in bottles and glasses, as did the water...considering this is supposed to be the best Italian restaurant around...as I said, the service still has room for improvement.

Unfortunately, we can't agree with the positive reviews. We dined there on the weekend in the outdoor area. Although far from all the tables were occupied, there were incredibly long waits for menus, drinks, and appetizers. The service seemed disorganized and overwhelmed. After waiting almost two hours (actually!) for our main courses, we were told that the rest of our order had been lost and that we should reorder. No "we're very sorry" or "there's a free espresso while we wait" or anything like that. I was very uncomfortable because I had invited our friends there based on the good reviews. But by then, they decided to leave. It's a real shame; perhaps we were just having a bad day, but an apology would have been perfectly appropriate.

Thank you for a perfect evening. Here, the chef himself puts his heart and soul into the kitchen to conjure up an unforgettable meal for the guests. A family business with passion for what they do. The food arrived hot and tasted simply heavenly. Thank you for a little piece of Italy in the heart of Germany.

It was our first time there and I was unfortunately disappointed. We waited over 45 minutes for our pizza. They simply forgot to make it. When we finally got it, the taste partially made up for it. Nevertheless, I can only give it three stars.

Unfortunately, I can't give it a star. We were there on a Sunday at 8:30 p.m. and wanted something to eat. They said the kitchen was already closed, even though it said it was open until 9:30 p.m. Perhaps they should adjust their hours or stick to them.

Went to this restaurant on Good Friday for the first and certainly not the last time. The service was very accommodating, the food was very good and the “Drumrüm” was also really good. Had a very good pizza, my wife had a very tasty salad and our friend also enjoyed a delicious pizza. Franco and the team at Francesco’s is top notch, always! We come here to Germany to specifically eat here. Traditional Italian food, but not boring or run of the mill. We are always surprised with something new and the quality of always 10/10. I highly recommend eating here. Wonderful people and great atmosphere!

I can only advise everyone to limit their choice of food to pizza. The pizzas are quite okay. If I had followed my own advice, I would have been spared an absolute failure today. I wanted to treat myself to something special today and decided on the most expensive dish on the menu: the grilled fish platter. What I was then served was the most rude thing I have ever been served in a restaurant. Underground!! I'm at a loss for words. This plate was actually exactly what you would expect if you know the restaurant owner. Unappetizing!!! Like the toilet, which is generally ignored when cleaning. I have no idea what the kitchen looks like... Never never never again!!!! Absolutely not recommended.

Used to be here often and happily. Unfortunately now really underground. One ticket for 10 people. Wrong pizza goes back to the kitchen and comes back to the table two minutes later with the toppings scraped off. Fish platter cold and tough. Side dishes different than ordered and then a 20 minute wait until the rest of the table had finished eating. This is an example of a total of three miserable visits.

A real highlight for all lovers of traditional Italian cuisine! As soon as you enter the restaurant you feel like you are in Italy. The atmosphere is warm and authentic, the service warm and attentive. Every dish we ordered was a taste journey. The fresh ingredients and the attention to detail in the preparation are particularly impressive. You can immediately tell that people cook with passion here. Update. What can you say? Terrible. The last two times to get used to it. Poor to no service. Had to wait 30 minutes before we could order drinks. Very impolite. Everyone’s food would have to be seasoned. Lasagna didn't taste like anything. Daughter's steak under all guns. Such poor quality should not be allowed out of a chef's kitchen. We're not coming anymore. My money is too good for that.

We were here today with a group of 9 people. The food and service were subpar. In total we had to wait 1 ½ hours for the orders. The food was brought to us by very unfriendly service and we were served the wrong pizza twice. The vegetarian meal had ham and the noodles were extremely al dente. After the waitress noticed our displeasure, we weren't even said goodbye when we left the restaurant. Very disappointing and we won't be going there again!

Well so-and-so. The starter platter (antipasti misto) was very good. It was very helpful that the waiter pointed out that the platter was very rich, so the platter would be enough for one person as a starter. That's how it was, respect! When it came to the main course, the good impression completely disappeared. The Calamarata Nostromo (pasta with king prawns, scallops, mussels and clams, slightly spicy) for 18 euros was neither slightly spicy nor hot. Cold noodles with cold mussels came to the table. Not a word of apology from the kitchen, I only got the espresso for free. A big disappointment. My wife had tagliolini with salmon and cream sauce. The noodles were so hot that she burned the roof of her mouth and they were totally over salted. And although it was very visible that we had finished eating (although we had to leave a lot left over due to the lack of taste), the plates were not cleared. Only when I asked to finally clear the plates did the waitress agree to comply with my request. There were a maximum of 15 guests in the restaurant at that time. Conclusion: The chef should extend the good impression he makes with starters to the main courses, then the restaurant would be worth a visit. As it was with us, I can only advise against it.

While walking we wanted to eat something. First time in town we found that restaurant. But... There is no service. They don't look at the tables. The tortellini I ordered were inedible. Inside there is a strange mixture without salt and flavor. My partner ordered sliced ​​beef, it arrived at the table cold, the kräuter butter did not melt on the meat because it was all cold. Bad experience!

We come here relatively often and have never had any reason to criticize. Special requests are accepted and fulfilled in a completely uncomplicated manner. We were also served by "underages" who did a great job. We don't need waitresses with a towel over their arm. Not suitable for Italy. We feel in good hands with Francesco and his wife.

Dishes are highly recommended. It's a shame, however, that it's difficult to sit down outside with shorts on - you get painful marks from the chairs. Furthermore, it is a shame that you ruin what is actually a high quality dish in which all the ingredients seem to be homemade, this one with canned chanterelles

"Great Italian". Went there for dinner for the first time on Friday, May 26, 23 at 5:00 p.m., without a reservation. We still got a table outside under the large parasols with a view of the market square. Pizza, pasta and red wine were great at reasonable prices. Very friendly team and very good service. The restaurant also has a very nice atmosphere inside. In short: we were absolutely satisfied and we spent some very nice moments there. Sehr gute italienische Pizzen, auch die gemischte Vorspeisenplatte ist ein Traum. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Wir waren an einem Donnerstag Abend im "Da Francesco". Das Restaurant (drinnen und draußen) war super gut besucht. Unsere Pizza, die Nudeln und der Nachtisch waren wirklich sehr, sehr lecker😋. Was uns aber besonders in Erinnerung geblieben ist waren (die beiden) super netten, zuvorkommenden und freundlichen Bedienungen die trotz enormen Stress immer ein lächeln auf dem Gesicht hatten und gefühlt jeden Wunsch von den Augen abgelesen haben. Meinen größten Respekt🙏. Schön, wenn es sowas noch gibt. Wir waren mit den Fahrrädern auf der Durchreise (MainRadtour) aber, wenn wir wieder mal in Karstadt oder Umgebung unterwegs sind....kommen wir definitiv wieder.

Essen war ok, Service absolute Katastrophe. Pizza wurde vergessen, nach zweimaligen Nachfragen kam sie dann nach insgesamt 1,5 Std. Zum bezahlen musste man knapp 45 Minuten warten. Es wurde nie gefragt ob man noch etwas trinken möchte.

Wir kommen nicht wieder ... Schade eigentlich, super Lage in Karlstadt. Mein Carpaccio (Schwertfisch, Lachs, Oktopus) war OK, der rohe Fisch hatte aus meiner Sicht kein Aroma. Ich hatte noch sardische Pasta, leider zuviel Röstaromen. Fair war, dass das nicht berechnet wurde. Service war nett, hat jedoch sehr spät nachgefragt ob alles paßt. Ambiente hat mir gefallen.

Ze konden de drukte simpelweg niet aan. Dikke kelner nam de order op en ging vervolgens zelf op het terras zitten drinken. De dames hebben hun best gedaan om het weer goed te maken. Duurde 1 uur en 40 minuten voor het eten er was

Uns hat es nicht gut gefallen. Die Margherita war mit Käse überladen und die Nudeln sehr lieblos gewürzt bzw. Gar nicht gewürzt. Der Pizzateig ist gut. Dies machte sich auch schon die der Vorspeise bemerkbar. Lieblos zubereitetes Bruschetta. Bei den Rezessionen haben wir mehr erwartet. Schade.

Super Küche....super Chef....bishin zu den Angestellten. Ein sehr zufriedener Gast.
