We were here for dinner with 9 people. A very well-stocked menu, everyone should be able to find something for themselves here. All of our ordered dishes arrived at the table at the same time and everyone was very happy with their selection. The oldest guest, 93, wanted a Maya the Bee children's plate and although there were already special senior plates, the service team was happy to fulfill his wish without even batting an eyelid and pointing out the senior plates! Super friendly service, even though the restaurant was very busy, all requests were implemented promptly and there was never the feeling that the service was stressed... professionals work here who enjoy their work! This restaurant is definitely worth recommending. We would like to come again! Thank you very much for this lovely evening.

We spontaneously ended up here because of the Google reviews after a Sunday trip. It's a bit like traveling back in time, as I know Croatian restaurants from my childhood. The service was super friendly and warm, the food was plentiful and tasty. The prices are absolutely moderate. We would definitely like to come back.

I was there on Saturday and had a very disappointing experience. I ordered the robber's skewer, which was only described on the menu as "assorted meats". To my surprise, the steak was half raw without any mention of this anywhere. When I asked the staff about it, my complaint was dismissed with the statement "We always do it that way." This unprofessional response and lack of customer service completely ruined my visit. In addition, the price-performance ratio was not at all good. For the high price, I expect significantly more quality and customer friendliness. The other portions served at our table were also disappointingly small and not nearly worth the price. I will definitely not recommend this restaurant and will not visit it again.

Here you are human and in good hands as a guest. The menu offering is plentiful and clear. Friendly service in a very clean atmosphere. The meal was excellent. The portions are generous and the price ratio is great. You can tell that this is a family business. Here you are in very good hands and the repetition factor is 100%

A solid, good restaurant. The service was friendly. The interior design gave the impression of Balkan style. There are sufficient paid parking spaces in the surrounding area. The side salad was fresh and crunchy. The main course wasn't particularly challenging to prepare, but the food tasted good. The price-performance ratio is good. What was remarkable was the extremely high temperature of the food plate, which was explicitly pointed out by the staff as a warning... as a result, the food stayed warm for longer.

Does it always have to be innovative? Does it always have to be something new? - No. You come here because a Croatian restaurant offered the same quality and good service 30 years ago and has maintained it to this day. For 5 stars, at least a little adjustment can be made... :'-) We'll be back!

I was there yesterday with someone. She came from Dortmund, I was just traveling in Velbert. We wanted to meet halfway and have a delicious meal, so we went to Wuppertal. What a blessing 🙏, the service is not intrusive, discreetly reserved, as soon as a glass is empty you don't have to wait - great, very attentive - that's the positive one, the great thing is the kitchen and their purchase of selected products - I'm mega fimschisch, if the word exists here when it comes to meat, I'm a Korinterkacker, okay?! - but I was so overwhelmed by the consistency, the taste, the seasoning - I've rarely eaten something so tasty, I've never eaten better, that's the top end of what happens in the kitchen, simply amazing, and the salad dressing , I hate salad or green raw vegetables, but I've never tasted this dressing in my life, I'm 53. I won't say anything more about the dessert now, then my memory will burst, please try it, you won't regret it and if you're interested, it's very inexpensive for the service provided - thanks to chance, a real insider tip, so to speak. Nice Croatian restaurant with well-known Croatian dishes and also steaks. The staff is friendly and quick. The adjoining rooms are not quite as traditionally furnished, but still convey Croatian flair. The food is of good quality and the portions are sufficient. The prices are okay too. Let's be honest; Wuppertal?, had doubts, but pleasantly surprised, it definitely wasn't the last time there, everything from the service to the FOOD, IT COULDN'T BE BETTER!!! We celebrated my daughter's birthday there because she loves eating RASNICI, or as they say, we were all thrilled, and certainly not the last time there!!!

Luckily we had made a reservation, because it was packed. The food was delicious! We had a Dalmatian dish for 2 and it was clean and empty afterwards. The fried potatoes were also very tasty.

Great cuisine! My husband and I went on a city trip and found out in advance where we could eat well. We didn't have a reservation and, even though it was really full, we were very friendly taken to a table and served straight away. It didn't take long before we could eat. Really very good food, friendly staff and then the delicious Julischka. Highly recommended!

Very busy, 80s style decor, friendly and fast service. Food also in the style of the 80s. So anyone who thinks it's good to eat at "Yugoslavia" will be satisfied. It was OK for us, but it won't be our favorite.

We were there before an event and are not from Wuppertal. Therefore I can't compare it to other restaurants. The food was tasty, but very simple. Neither of us were full. It wasn't really too little, but we'll eat something at home (we're both normal eaters). The prices are very reasonable. We had the feeling that instead of a price increase (VAT increase), there was a reduction in quantity. The restaurant was very busy (Wednesday) and we were happy about our reservation. Accordingly, we waited about half an hour for food. The service was normally friendly. You can see the farmer's schnitzel, I ate two potatoes before the photo. Unfortunately the hollandaise sauce was only on the vegetables, I understood differently from the menu.

The food was also served quickly. The quality and taste of the food was okay. The meat dishes are of good quality. The quantities are completely sufficient. The employees are very friendly and accommodating. Guest requests are always listened to and have always been implemented. It's great to have a nice restaurant in the southern part of the city. Preis/Leistung ok. Schnitzel aus der Friteuse, Hollondaise aus dem Tetra Pack, teils lieblos angerichtet, da ißt das Auge nicht mit u.kann man z.H.besser u.netter hinbekommen.Bratkartoffeln ohne Zwiebeln u.o. Speck ist auch nicht der Hit, ok sind Kroaten aber....neeee... Personal fragt nicht nach z.b. wg.Getränken. Ergo ich Zahl lieber paar Euro mehr u.bekomme ein echtes Schnitzel aus der Pfanne u.eine richtige selbst gemachte Championrahmsoße.

Wir hatten die Räuberfleischplatte, das Fleisch war super gebraten, sehr saftig und lecker !😊

Essen ist lecker aber leider etwas sehr hochpreisig für die servierten Portionen. Der Service war gut.

Wir waren eine größere Gruppe und alle sehr zufrieden. Der Service war tatsächlich im Verhältnis am besten. Das Essen war gut und jeder wurde satt. Weihnachtliche Vorfreude entstand beim Ambiente, wodurch wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Gelungener Abend der sein Preis wert war.

Hier bekommt man solide Balkanküche, ohne Schnickschnack, bodenständig und in unkomplizierter Atmosphäre. Bestellt war ein Lachsfilet mit Gemüse und Bratkartoffeln, nicht zu kleine Portionen und auf den Punkt gebraten. Das Ganze in vernünftiger Preisspanne. Fazit: Man wird zufrieden satt. Nicht mehr und nicht weniger.

Уютный ресторан, вкусная еда. Будьте осторожны, когда заказываете улиток. Их подают в кипящем соусе. Когда тарелку поставили на стол, одна улитка взорвалась и разлетелась во все стороны, разбрызгивая кипящее масло. Официант сказал только: "Такое бывает..." В остальном вечер удался. От закусок до десертов - всё очень вкусное.

If you want to have a plate with a lot of meat go to Restaurant Croatien. Typical Menue. Take one of the "Plates" for 2 and you will be satisfied.
