Colvino Stuttgart in Stuttgart

The restaurant is advertised as Italian, but the experience felt more German-inspired. The “Pinsa” was essentially a Flammkuchen, which, while decent and very tasty, is not what you would expect from an Italian menu. The truffle pasta dish was good, but it didn't feel authentically Italian compared to other Italian restaurants in Stuttgart. If you’re seeking a true Italian dining experience, this may not be the place for you. However, the service and atmosphere were good, and the drinks and charcuterie were amazing. The truffles were excellent and on point, giving the plates an amazing aroma and taste.

Service is unfriendly, you are addressed with “Hey boy, take a look” and point to the bill that was thrown down! The food itself is okay, but I would be careful with the tiramisu! €8.50 for a bit of cream, biscuits and chocolate sauce - pretty cheeky! I won't pay €8.50 anymore for the shitty muggeseggele!! And NO, it looked like that in the restaurant!!!

I would like to give zero stars. Reserved for today and yesterday we even received a reminder email and today we are standing in front of closed doors. It's clear that most of them will be available on December 24th, but it's the least you can do to let customers know. Absolutely poor service.

Just simply a really good Italian place! The staff is really friendly and helpful. The food was delicious especially the pasta. It was my first time trying a pinza and it was a hit.

The service was very inattentive and unfriendly. The food was okay, but in our opinion it wasn't value for money at all. Way too expensive for what you get. The truffle ravioli are very tasty, but 7 pieces for 18€ are not appropriate for us.

The Colvino is very conveniently located at the Rathaus stop. The Italian restaurant offered a daily menu + menu and an extensive wine list on the evening of the visit. The service is fast, professional and nothing is forgotten. The rooms are set up in such a way that it is incredibly loud. If you look around, you notice that there are no things in the room that could in any way dampen the sound to a tolerable level - not even tablecloths. The cutlery is stored in disposable paper bags. When the cutlery has been washed, it is thrown into the containers in the dining room - also very loudly. As a starter I had the bruschetta twice. What I got was pretty strange though. Half a slice of bread spread with burrata and placed 2 cherry tomatoes on top. Then a handful of rocket - €12. Particularly annoying: it seemed to be the only starter that appeared to be meat or lactose free. I mean, everyone expects something different from “bruschetta” - tomatoes, onions, garlic, herbs. My main course, ravioli with sage, was fine. Unfortunately, the location cannot compensate for the quality of the experience at Colvino. Overall, you can say that there are many good Italian restaurants in Stuttgart, but I wouldn't recommend Colvino for a cozy evening. If you really want to eat Italian food in the middle of the city, you can of course do that. But you have to accept major compromises in everything else.

Good Italian food, unfortunately the service seemed very stressed and inattentive to us. We were not offered the dessert menu or any other drinks and we had to ask several times when paying. Restaurant looks very cozy from the outside, but the toilets are currently out of service and you had to go out to the neighboring restaurant, not so ideal. Overall we were rather disappointed.

Today was the first and certainly not the last time in Colvino. For the main course I had the truffle ravioli, which was 100% to my liking. However, the portion could have been a little larger. Price/performance ratio and service were also great! I'll be back :-)

Everything was great, the food was like Nonna's, very friendly and committed staff. We felt very comfortable. If we lived closer, this would be our local bar🥰⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The non-alcoholic cocktails (with cucumber syrup or grapefruit juice & almond milk) were delicious! The lasagne was not typically Italian. It was dry, there was hardly any minced meat or bechamel sauce in it, and it was filled with too much cheese. It was basically pasta and cheese. The waitresses were friendly, but we had to wait 15 minutes until the bill was brought to us after several requests. The noise level was very high, you had to shout at each other rather than have a conversation. Conclusion: A good choice for a limited time with a good drink, but not for a cozy and good meal together.

Prices are still fairly fair for today's standards. The food is pretty tasty and there is a good wine selection. The location is nice, but a bit noisy at times. Friendly service.

We wanted to celebrate a birthday here, had reserved a table and were looking forward to a lovely evening. Unfortunately, the owner was very rude and unaccommodating, which initially dampened the mood a bit. Luckily, the waitress and bartenders saved the evening - they were incredibly friendly, attentive and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The drinks were delicious too, but the negative experience with the owner would still make us think twice about coming back.

The atmosphere in the courtyard is a bit sparse in autumn, otherwise nothing to complain about! Efficient service, excellent quality of food and drinks. Due to the atmosphere, I would recommend making a reservation inside :)

I used to be a HUGE fan of Colvino, but this place is now a “no-go” for me. Initially, I was greeted warmly, and the service was patient and helpful. For both of my last two visits, however, I was greeted as if it was an inconvenience that I was walking into their establishment. For one visit, I had a reservation, and they still seemed stressed and annoyed. Tonight, a friend was visiting from out of town and since we had already eaten, we thought Colvino would be great for an unplanned bottle of wine and dessert/coffee. We were seated within 10 cm of another table of women, which is sadly normal at this restaurant, but we didn’t complain. We waited about 9 to 10 minutes for a server to come take our order. We ordered a bottle of primitivo and told the server we did not need food. Then, the manager approached us and told us that this was a restaurant and we needed to leave if we weren’t ordering food. He gave no apology, and made us feel like lepers as we collected our things and left. My first visits had outstanding food and drink, and I went out of my way to recommend Colvino to friends and work colleagues. As an American abroad, here is another example of seeing how to “not run a business”. We just walked around the corner to Pan e Vino and asked if we could be seated for a bottle of wine. They are currently more full than Colvino, and they said of course and seated us with a smile. Just FYI, that’s how you do it!

Very good italian food with a large choice of wines

Have always wanted to come here. It’s usually packed and requires a reservation. We happened to pass by to see if they had a free table, and luckily, they had one for us. Delicious, well made Italian food. The paccheri with seafood was super.

I ordered 2 delicious paninos here (Torino + Capri-Vegi) both very tasty and fresh, tastes authentic Italian and great ingredients. The price is okay at around 6 euros (September 2024). If it's something different, I can recommend giving it a try. The rating only refers to the panino, not to the rest of the restaurant's dishes.

We had the tortellini with the truffles. The dish itself was tasty, but we found the portion size to be really small and we were still hungry afterwards (even though we don't generally eat a lot). We found the service poor and unfriendly. We found the atmosphere nice. Overall we wouldn't come back.

This was by far the tastiest truffle pasta I have eaten in my entire life. It touched me in places in my soul that I didn't know existed. The chef is definitely an Italian god and I was just for 15 Minutes in Mediterranean heaven. Always and highly recommended!

4 💫 Let's start with the positive: Condition is super friendly and does things I wouldn't expect. For example, a vase was brought to us for gifts of flowers :). Food was also delicious. I had the truffle pasta myself. Positive: You could taste the truffles very well. Unfortunately there was a slight deduction because the truffle/cream sauce was a bit lumpy/not creamy enough. Not the best truffle pasta I've ever tasted, but still good. I found the cheese platter pleasant. A little too little truffle honey but it's good, of course it's expensive. I would still have liked a little more for the price. Atmosphere was pleasant despite the location. A little tight, but not a problem. Overall a nice experience and a recommendation.

If I want good Italian food, I come here. The map is small but nice. The pasta is perfectly cooked and the tomato sauce is sweet and rich. The pinsa is also super tasty and nice and crispy. The selection of drinks from the wine shop is of course great. The atmosphere is also cozy and the dishes are pretty. The service was very friendly and despite it being busy it was still very quick. I particularly like the little shop upstairs, you can always find something here. Clear recommendation!

Had dinner there with friends on Monday evening. The food was simply perfect and so was the wine selection. The service impresses with its friendly and calm, attentive manner!! Poor. Only one waiter for entire restaurant, he couldn’t keep up. Food was cold and undercooked (pasta x2). I was given my food 15 min before my girlfriend, so I was done before hers arrived. Took forever to get check, after asking twice. Only good thing, wine was super.

I've eaten here several times. The food is always super tasty, I can recommend the truffle pasta or the gnocci alla Sorrentina. There is also a large selection of delicious wines. However, the service could still be improved, it is sometimes really great and sometimes the service is almost a bit unfriendly or hectic.

Cozy little restaurant, good value for money, pinsa crispy and tasty, seasonal menu with some choices, overall good for a group of friends, good wine list!

We were here for the first time and were thrilled by the delicious food. Really authentic Italian. The truffle ravioli is recommended and definitely also the vitello tonnato as a starter. One point is deducted for the truffle starter platter, which was absolutely not worth 22/23€ and when it was served to us we were speechless and asked ourselves if there was anything else to come. Otherwise everything was really delicious and we would definitely come back. But you have to reserve well in advance as it is always very crowded here. At the end there was a Limoncello shot for everyone on the house, which we found very nice and thoughtful.

We had lasagna, some wine, bruschetta und Raviolis. The ambiente was nice in the Innenhof, and service was ok. Price vs. Quantity and Quality 3.5/4 A dessert for 14€ is expensive (and the lasagna costs 15€) so not sure about the price thinking here haha :D Taste was good, but still would try another Italian restaurant next time.

The food is tasty overall, but the portions (especially starters) are too small. In addition, it sometimes takes 1.5 hours until you get your main course. The kitchen doesn't seem to be tailored to the number of guests, especially with outside seating. Unfortunately, the service including the boss are completely overwhelmed, making them visibly stressed, forgetful and sometimes unfriendly. No dolce vita feeling at all, more like hectic running around with annoyed faces. A pity!

It was a total surprise. Bolognese with white cream is a dream 10/10 points and the pistachio tiramisu is a dream. Discovered spontaneously and it was all worth it.

The experience at the Colvino wine shop in Stuttgart was disappointing. Although the food was certainly tasty, the enjoyment was marred by the miserable service. The waiter was extremely aggressive and unfriendly, and we ended up literally being kicked out of the store because of a follow-up reservation. This behavior has had a major negative impact on the entire experience and leaves a bitter aftertaste.

Truly a great find in the center of Stuttgart. We were in Stuttgart for work and ate in this restaurant for three consecutive evenings. Angelo knew how to delight us with authentic Italian dishes. This is an example of when quality and simplicity win. Everything was excellent, special mention for the tongs, the Sorrento gnocchi and the tiramisu. I highly recommend them, especially to Italians who want to feel at home.

We had dinner at Colvino's on Friday evening. The food was great and we didn't have to wait long for our food even though it was very busy. Prices are a bit high, but you can tell the quality! It should be added that the shop is relatively full and therefore noisy on weekends. Conclusion: The food tastes good!

Food good, service terrible! The pinsa and truffle ravioli were delicious! Solid food without any particular sophistication but delicious! Unfortunately the service left us extremely stressed. The two of us went for dinner with a reservation, the place was very busy. The service was super stressful, it wasn't possible for us to ask questions, our main course came while we weren't half finished with our aperitif. In general everything came, drinks, food, order, WAY too quickly! We were more or less finished after about 45 minutes, including the starter... While we were ordering the main courses, the waiter told us that he would come back for wine because we hadn't finished our aperitif yet (he came about 10 minutes earlier) . He didn't come, the main course did. That's why we gave up the wine. But no one would have asked, because our glasses were empty for half the evening. I actually really wanted to order water. Then I wanted to pay, but the waiter refused me (!!!) and told me to order a dessert and ran away. But I didn't have a menu to order, just as I didn't even want a dessert. After asking again I was allowed to pay. Meanwhile, we were coerced with an NFC card to give a Google review. Please! Then I also had the unpleasant stress of having to look for change... Won't be coming back, there are too many Italians in Stuttgart with similarly good (also better for the price) food and definitely better service. The atmosphere here is nice, but very narrow, loud and crowded, typically Italian in our eyes. Fits, is nice, but really loud. Take time for your guests! The service seems more like fast food than a nice restaurant!

What a brilliant and accidental find. We tried to book, got placed on a waiting list and they managed to get us a table. This place should be rated number 1 Italian in Stuttgart for sure. Besides the brilliant decor and service on par with a fine dining establishment , we had the most incredible starter with 2 pasta’s and a lasagne. It felt like I was sitting in an Italian cafe in Puglia again. The flavours were directly from Puglia and our crowd of three all agreed it’s possible the best past we ever eaten. You will Not be disappointed. And we were shocked at how cheap it was. A Starter , 3 mains, bottle of white wine, bottle Of sparkling water and a 200ml glass Of red, and the bill was €110 inclusive of a tip. For sure one of my best pasta eating experiences outside of southern Italy. Thanks you team Calvino.

I would be happy to come back again. The food and wine were delicious, I really enjoyed my dinner. It was a bit loud that evening but still nice. P.S. I was pleasantly surprised by the menu as there are many interesting vegetarian dishes.

Neu Entdeckung ! Waren hier am 20.01.2024 mit Bekannten zum Abendessen. Das Restaurant ist offen gestaltet, hat ein schönes Ambiente und gleich nach betreten des Lokals strömt einem der Geruch von Trüffel entgegen. Darin war es relativ eng bestuhlt und ohne Reservierung hätten wir an diesem Samstag Abend auch keine Chance gehabt. Hier hatten wir das erste Mal die für uns bislang unbekannte Pinsa, welche trotz der Gästeanzahl in in einem gut vertretbaren Zeitrahmen serviert wurde. Meine Pinsa Tricolore war hierbei geschmacklich vorzüglich und ich als guter Esser wurde mit dieser auch satt. Die beiden kleinen Wehrmutstropfen waren die Lautstärke in dem Lokal, da dieses bis auf den letzten Tisch besucht war, sowie die sanitären Einrichtungen (für Frauen und Männer jeweils nur eine Toilette), sodass es vorkam, dass davor gewartet werden musste. Die Bedienung war freundlich und freute sich ehrlich für das ihr zugedachte Trinkgeld. Wir können das Restaurant jedem weiter empfehlen.

New discovery! Went here for dinner with friends on January 20th, 2024. The restaurant is open-plan, has a nice ambience and the smell of truffles hits you as soon as you enter. The seating was relatively tight and without a reservation we wouldn't have had a chance that Saturday evening. Here we had the Pinsa, which was previously unknown to us, for the first time and was served in a reasonable time despite the number of guests. My Pinsa Tricolore tasted excellent and, as a good eater, I was full with it. The two small downsides were the noise in the restaurant, as it was full to the last table, and the sanitary facilities (only one toilet for women and men), so it was sometimes necessary to wait in front of it. The waitress was friendly and genuinely happy for the tip given to her. We can recommend the restaurant to everyone.

Das Essen ist fantastisch, aber der Service war mit Abstand der schlechteste den ich je erlebt habe. Der Kellner wollte nicht wirklich mit uns reden und kam nur alle Schaltjahr mal zu uns an den Tisch. Wir wollten mehrere Flaschen Wein bestellen, sodass ich sogar an die Bar musste damit jemand kommt und uns bedient. Das ist auch nicht das erste Mal,dass der Service so dermaßen schlecht war. Ich mochte das Colvino immer sehr, aber wenn sich das nicht ändert werde ich mir ein anderes Lokal suchen.

Wir waren sehr begeistert. Das Essen war unglaublich lecker und preiswert! Kommen gerne wieder 🙂

Very nice Italian food and tasteful The waiter was a bit rude But the man in the sitting was awesome

Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Was das Essen angeht würde ich lieber 2€ Aufpreis zahlen um somit satt zu werden, die Portionen sind wirklich sehr klein. Sanierung leider nur 1 Toilette für Frauen und 1 Toilette für Männer, sehr wenig für solch ein Lokal.

Ich habe mehrmals im Colvino gegessen und war jedes Mal von der Qualität des Essens beeindruckt. Der Service ist in der Regel aufmerksam und bemüht. Die Terrasse ist im Sommer ein super Ort für entspannte Abende mit Vino.

I’ve been to many restaurants but hands down, this is one of the best Italian restaurants in Stuttgart! We’ve been here for dinner and I was amazed by the variety of food, the great taste and the friendly and attentive staff. I would recommend to order several things to share so that you can try as much as possible. Our highlight was unquestionably the pistachio tiramisu 🤤 to die for!!

Eine kleine Vinothek in der Eberhardstraße bietet eine hervorragende Auswahl an italienischen Weinen, Olivenöl und anderen köstlichen Produkten an. Momentan haben sie Panettone in einer originellen Dolce-Gabbana -Verpackung im Sortiment.

Das ist mir noch nicht oft passiert: Dass das Essen so lecker war, dass ich Tränen in den Augen hatte. Sie haben mich danach noch auf einen Grappa eingeladen. Vielen Dank!

Die Portion Trüffelpasta war unverschämt klein und geschmacklich eher fad; der Preis von 18,50€ komplett überteuert. Service durchschnittlich und etwas lieblos, insgesamt sehr enttäuschend.

Molti sono i ristoranti italiani in Germania e molti riscuotono successo. Questo colpisce per la sobrietà, la semplicità nel menu ed un buon servizio cordiale e veloce. Particolarmente gradevole una larga presenza di giovani che riscoprono il gusto di stare a tavola per socializzare davanti ad un buon bicchiere di vino. Piccolo neo che i primi piatti siano leggermente “germanizzati“ aggiungendo formaggio parmigiano ovunque (anche su fughi e tartufo!). Buono il rapporto qualità prezzo.
