Very pleasant place, very friendly service and waiters, very good food, and for being abroad, it truly felt like eating in an Italian restaurant. Excellent location in the center, reasonable prices. And finally, they prepare the meals super quickly.

Unfortunately, it was disappointing. The service wasn't very friendly, and the wait was too long for a weekday evening. The white wine was served too warm, the insalata mista was rather uninspiring for the price, and the bread basket with dry bread and a few taralli was overpriced. The porcini mushroom ravioli was tasty, but the overall impression remains rather modest.

The restaurant is located at the tram exit. The tables are very close together. The service is friendly but not proactive—to be expected for the prices. The food was delicious, but the value for money was rather expensive. Nice location, but there are better Italian restaurants.

The truffle pasta used to be much better, but now it unfortunately tastes rather bland, and instead of the Chinotto lemonade advertised on the drinks menu, I was simply served a cheaper alternative for the same price. Overall, we didn't feel very welcome.

A very disappointing experience. The portion of truffle pasta was extremely small and seemed more like a soup – the sauce was watery and flavorless. The wine served, supposedly a Chianti, was barely drinkable. The lemonade ordered was not on the menu and was served in a can. A proper bill was only given upon explicit request. The service was particularly negative – the employee seemed rude and unhelpful. Unfortunately, not a place I would visit again.

Good location in the heart of Stuttgart, in the inner courtyard, not on a street. Delicious food. Enchantingly fragrant jasmine plants outside. The drink selection is a bit limited for my taste; it's a wine bar, but a shandy and a Coke Zero are still allowed on the menu (in my opinion). I found the folding tables and chairs outside quite uncomfortable. If you're sitting near the underground parking entrance/exit, it's quite annoying that people are constantly going in and out. Overall, it's good; we would go again.

We were desperately searching for Colvino today. Thanks to a tip from a wise and friendly restaurateur in the Calwer Passage, we finally found the way. Only one restroom for what feels like 100 seats. The noise from the courtyard with sound-reflecting walls is unpleasant. The food is excellent.

Yesterday, four of us ate at Colvino. For starters, we had Colvino antipasti (€30) and a cheese platter (€24). A bottle of white wine (€40). For four people, we had one slice of SAN.Daniele per platter, but more mortadella and two slices of coppa. The distribution for four people isn't ideal! You don't want to fight over the sausage! Otherwise, a nice place with friendly people.

Best pasta I ever had!!!! My wife and I went there last night on a whim since she had been there once for lunch with work colleagues and really loved it! I had the truffle ravioli and a fancy Italian beer and the past was HEAVEN. I highly recommend!!!

We were really looking forward to the meal, but were sadly disappointed. The truffle pasta had virtually no flavor! We practically had to cover it with Parmesan cheese to get any flavor at all. My portion was also extremely small—really not worth the price. The service also left a lot to be desired: unattentive and rather lackluster. It's a shame, we won't be back.

We had reserved a table for 5 and were immediately informed that the table was reserved for 2 hours (we didn't know beforehand). But that wasn't the main problem, after 1h20 we were asked (after we had already eaten an additional dessert) if we would like to drink something else. When we said no, the waiter said cheekily, “Then we’ll bring you the bill, the next guests are waiting.” That's a disgrace, absolutely not a restaurant to spend a cozy evening but rather it has more of a canteen feel. In the end the waiter didn't even really say goodbye, he was very rude! The food should be emphasized positively, it was really tasty, the rest was unfortunately really bad.

We went to Colvino right when it opened without a reservation and were lucky. The restaurant is in a great location at the Rathaus subway station and offers a great opportunity to sit outside on warm summer evenings. In addition to the regular menu, the daily specials can be found on the board. Prices for a main course with noodles / pinsa are around €16-18 on average, I would say. Delicious noodles, pinsa was also a varied combination. In the pictures the portions appear smaller than they actually are. Tiramisu is served in a glass, was delicious, a little too much cream for me. The open white wine was very tasty. In soup about 70€ for a successful dinner. Card payment was no problem.

I've been there twice and the food was really delicious! The pistachio tiramisu in particular is to die for! The service is quick and friendly. Gladly again!

We had high expectations - but unfortunately we were disappointed. The atmosphere was promising, but the first disillusionment came with the starter: for €30, the four of us got a few olives, six small slices of ham and bread that no longer tasted fresh. The main courses were mixed: the pinsas were tasty and reasonably priced. Two of us chose the carbonara for €18, but unfortunately the dish was disappointing. The egg had curdled and there was hardly any ham to be seen - we enjoyed a carbonara in a private household better. Nevertheless, we would like to emphasize: The service was very friendly and the ambience will be remembered positively.

After the many excellent reviews, we reserved a table - unfortunately our visit was a disappointment. As four guests born and raised in Italy, we were very disappointed with the taste of the dishes. The Roman starter platter was served cold, the Amatriciana was a simple tomato sauce with some guanciale - a far cry from the original. The pinsa with tomato sauce and mozzarella (not shown in the attached pictures) also did not meet Italian standards as the sauce was seasoned - unusual in Italy. The bill of €120 was disproportionate to the quality. The restaurant is aimed more at guests who are not familiar with authentic Italian cuisine. The concept is appealing – perhaps an experienced Italian chef would be a wise investment. A visit is still worth it for wine lovers: the selection of wines and Italian beers is solid. But we prefer to enjoy good wine with good food - unfortunately that wasn't possible here.

Nach den vielen hervorragenden Bewertungen haben wir uns schließlich entschieden, einen Tisch zu reservieren. Leider war unser Besuch eine große Enttäuschung. Wir sind vier in Italien geborene und aufgewachsene Italiener und waren vom Geschmack aller Gerichte wirklich enttäuscht. Die römische Vorspeisenplatte bestand aus frittierten Speisen, die uns kalt serviert wurden. Die Pasta all’Amatriciana war nichts weiter als einfache Pasta mit einer gewöhnlichen Tomatensoße und ein paar Stückchen Guanciale – weit entfernt vom Original. Die Pinsa wurde mit einer gewürzten Tomaten-Soße serviert, obwohl in Italien die Soße für Pizza oder Pinsa niemals gewürzt oder anderweitig verfeinert wird. Die Rechnung von 130 € hat uns zusätzlich verwundert – nicht, weil die Preise nicht im Menü einsehbar waren, sondern wegen der großen Diskrepanz zwischen der Qualität des Essens und den Kosten. Dieses Restaurant richtet sich eher an Gäste, die nicht mit authentischer italienischer Küche vertraut sind. Unser Tipp: Nur ein paar Meter weiter befindet sich die Pizzeria Ciao Amore Pizza, die unserer Meinung nach die besten Vorspeisen und Pizzen in Stuttgart serviert. Dies war unser erster und zugleich letzter Besuch. Das Konzept des Lokals ist durchaus ansprechend und vielversprechend – vielleicht wäre es sinnvoll, in einen erstklassigen Koch zu investieren, der italienische Gerichte mit Leidenschaft und unter Achtung der authentischen Zutaten zubereitet. Für Weinliebhaber hingegen ist Colvino sicherlich einen Besuch wert! Hier gibt es außerdem eine solide Auswahl an italienischen Bieren. Zu unserem Pech genießen wir zu einem guten Wein auch gerne gutes Essen – doch das war hier leider nicht möglich.

Los restaurantes tienen que dejar de hacer esto - parece ser un problema principalmente en Alemania, donde se reserva en línea y luego su reserva no se acepta cuando llega. Extremadamente irritante - una pérdida de tiempo de todos.

Very good Italian restaurant. The so-called pinsa is very tasty. Similar to pizza but a little greasier and crispier. Only recommended!

For starters we shared the beef carpaccio with bread. That was good. I had the truffle tagliatelle. It was tasty but didn't blow me away. My friend had a pinsa with arugula and burrata. He was satisfied. We also had a large bottle of water, a lemonade and a beer and paid €78. The service was okay but not exceptional. In everything we were full and satisfied but it won't be our favorite Italian restaurant. The minus point was that it was very cold because the entrance door was constantly open.

Very yummy! Wonderful space and the service was great! I recommend Gorgonzola Pinsa with Parma, very good.

Food is okay, the portions fill you up. Otherwise it's nicely furnished, but you should be prepared for a louder environment. Service very mixed. Once we ordered something to drink at the beginning, then even when the glasses were empty after 20 minutes and we sat directly at the counter - no more questions about whether we wanted a refill - so we went an hour without drinks. You could make so much more sales ;-) If you don't have much time, you shouldn't go, after ordering it took 15 minutes for the starter. After the starter has been cleared away, it takes 45 minutes for the main course...too long in my opinion.

I ordered the eggplant casserole and my friend ordered the pasta with truffle. Unfortunately my eggplant casserole was served with small bugs/spiders. I pointed this out to the staff and was given a new portion straight away. They apologized several times and explained that it probably came from the basil. It can happen and wasn't a big deal for me. Overall, the food was tasty and fresh, although not a real taste explosion. I thought it was particularly nice that a basket of bread with olive oil was served on the house in advance - a nice gesture that sweetened our waiting time. The ambience is sweet and cozy which makes the stay pleasant.

Appetizer platter is very good and very nicely presented. The main courses are good, although you might expect a little more for the price. Unfortunately, the desserts were rather disappointing - the homemade tiramisu in particular was more of a cream mess. The service was friendly, but there was a bit of pressure right from the start as our table was only reserved for 2 hours. The white wine was a revelation. All in all, mixed impressions. Definitely a good and nice restaurant, but not outstanding for the price.

The restaurant is advertised as Italian, but the experience felt more German-inspired. The “Pinsa” was essentially a Flammkuchen, which, while decent and very tasty, is not what you would expect from an Italian menu. The truffle pasta dish was good, but it didn't feel authentically Italian compared to other Italian restaurants in Stuttgart. If you’re seeking a true Italian dining experience, this may not be the place for you. However, the service and atmosphere were good, and the drinks and charcuterie were amazing. The truffles were excellent and on point, giving the plates an amazing aroma and taste.

Service is unfriendly, you are addressed with “Hey boy, take a look” and point to the bill that was thrown down! The food itself is okay, but I would be careful with the tiramisu! €8.50 for a bit of cream, biscuits and chocolate sauce - pretty cheeky! I won't pay €8.50 anymore for the shitty muggeseggele!! And NO, it looked like that in the restaurant!!!

I would like to give zero stars. Reserved for today and yesterday we even received a reminder email and today we are standing in front of closed doors. It's clear that most of them will be available on December 24th, but it's the least you can do to let customers know. Absolutely poor service.

Just simply a really good Italian place! The staff is really friendly and helpful. The food was delicious especially the pasta. It was my first time trying a pinza and it was a hit.

The service was very inattentive and unfriendly. The food was okay, but in our opinion it wasn't value for money at all. Way too expensive for what you get. The truffle ravioli are very tasty, but 7 pieces for 18€ are not appropriate for us.

The Colvino is very conveniently located at the Rathaus stop. The Italian restaurant offered a daily menu + menu and an extensive wine list on the evening of the visit. The service is fast, professional and nothing is forgotten. The rooms are set up in such a way that it is incredibly loud. If you look around, you notice that there are no things in the room that could in any way dampen the sound to a tolerable level - not even tablecloths. The cutlery is stored in disposable paper bags. When the cutlery has been washed, it is thrown into the containers in the dining room - also very loudly. As a starter I had the bruschetta twice. What I got was pretty strange though. Half a slice of bread spread with burrata and placed 2 cherry tomatoes on top. Then a handful of rocket - €12. Particularly annoying: it seemed to be the only starter that appeared to be meat or lactose free. I mean, everyone expects something different from “bruschetta” - tomatoes, onions, garlic, herbs. My main course, ravioli with sage, was fine. Unfortunately, the location cannot compensate for the quality of the experience at Colvino. Overall, you can say that there are many good Italian restaurants in Stuttgart, but I wouldn't recommend Colvino for a cozy evening. If you really want to eat Italian food in the middle of the city, you can of course do that. But you have to accept major compromises in everything else.

Good Italian food, unfortunately the service seemed very stressed and inattentive to us. We were not offered the dessert menu or any other drinks and we had to ask several times when paying. Restaurant looks very cozy from the outside, but the toilets are currently out of service and you had to go out to the neighboring restaurant, not so ideal. Overall we were rather disappointed.

Today was the first and certainly not the last time in Colvino. For the main course I had the truffle ravioli, which was 100% to my liking. However, the portion could have been a little larger. Price/performance ratio and service were also great! I'll be back :-)

The non-alcoholic cocktails (with cucumber syrup or grapefruit juice & almond milk) were delicious! The lasagne was not typically Italian. It was dry, there was hardly any minced meat or bechamel sauce in it, and it was filled with too much cheese. It was basically pasta and cheese. The waitresses were friendly, but we had to wait 15 minutes until the bill was brought to us after several requests. The noise level was very high, you had to shout at each other rather than have a conversation. Conclusion: A good choice for a limited time with a good drink, but not for a cozy and good meal together.

Prices are still fairly fair for today's standards. The food is pretty tasty and there is a good wine selection. The location is nice, but a bit noisy at times. Friendly service.

We wanted to celebrate a birthday here, had reserved a table and were looking forward to a lovely evening. Unfortunately, the owner was very rude and unaccommodating, which initially dampened the mood a bit. Luckily, the waitress and bartenders saved the evening - they were incredibly friendly, attentive and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The drinks were delicious too, but the negative experience with the owner would still make us think twice about coming back.

The atmosphere in the courtyard is a bit sparse in autumn, otherwise nothing to complain about! Efficient service, excellent quality of food and drinks. Due to the atmosphere, I would recommend making a reservation inside :)

I used to be a HUGE fan of Colvino, but this place is now a “no-go” for me. Initially, I was greeted warmly, and the service was patient and helpful. For both of my last two visits, however, I was greeted as if it was an inconvenience that I was walking into their establishment. For one visit, I had a reservation, and they still seemed stressed and annoyed. Tonight, a friend was visiting from out of town and since we had already eaten, we thought Colvino would be great for an unplanned bottle of wine and dessert/coffee. We were seated within 10 cm of another table of women, which is sadly normal at this restaurant, but we didn’t complain. We waited about 9 to 10 minutes for a server to come take our order. We ordered a bottle of primitivo and told the server we did not need food. Then, the manager approached us and told us that this was a restaurant and we needed to leave if we weren’t ordering food. He gave no apology, and made us feel like lepers as we collected our things and left. My first visits had outstanding food and drink, and I went out of my way to recommend Colvino to friends and work colleagues. As an American abroad, here is another example of seeing how to “not run a business”. We just walked around the corner to Pan e Vino and asked if we could be seated for a bottle of wine. They are currently more full than Colvino, and they said of course and seated us with a smile. Just FYI, that’s how you do it!

Very good italian food with a large choice of wines

Have always wanted to come here. It’s usually packed and requires a reservation. We happened to pass by to see if they had a free table, and luckily, they had one for us. Delicious, well made Italian food. The paccheri with seafood was super.

I ordered 2 delicious paninos here (Torino + Capri-Vegi) both very tasty and fresh, tastes authentic Italian and great ingredients. The price is okay at around 6 euros (September 2024). If it's something different, I can recommend giving it a try. The rating only refers to the panino, not to the rest of the restaurant's dishes.

We had the tortellini with the truffles. The dish itself was tasty, but we found the portion size to be really small and we were still hungry afterwards (even though we don't generally eat a lot). We found the service poor and unfriendly. We found the atmosphere nice. Overall we wouldn't come back.

4 💫 Let's start with the positive: Condition is super friendly and does things I wouldn't expect. For example, a vase was brought to us for gifts of flowers :). Food was also delicious. I had the truffle pasta myself. Positive: You could taste the truffles very well. Unfortunately there was a slight deduction because the truffle/cream sauce was a bit lumpy/not creamy enough. Not the best truffle pasta I've ever tasted, but still good. I found the cheese platter pleasant. A little too little truffle honey but it's good, of course it's expensive. I would still have liked a little more for the price. Atmosphere was pleasant despite the location. A little tight, but not a problem. Overall a nice experience and a recommendation.

If I want good Italian food, I come here. The map is small but nice. The pasta is perfectly cooked and the tomato sauce is sweet and rich. The pinsa is also super tasty and nice and crispy. The selection of drinks from the wine shop is of course great. The atmosphere is also cozy and the dishes are pretty. The service was very friendly and despite it being busy it was still very quick. I particularly like the little shop upstairs, you can always find something here. Clear recommendation!

Poor. Only one waiter for entire restaurant, he couldn’t keep up. Food was cold and undercooked (pasta x2). I was given my food 15 min before my girlfriend, so I was done before hers arrived. Took forever to get check, after asking twice. Only good thing, wine was super.

I've eaten here several times. The food is always super tasty, I can recommend the truffle pasta or the gnocci alla Sorrentina. There is also a large selection of delicious wines. However, the service could still be improved, it is sometimes really great and sometimes the service is almost a bit unfriendly or hectic.
