Die beste Pho die ich seit langem gegessen habe! Auch das Sushi war sehr aromatisch und lecker. Bei vielen Restaurants schmeckt das Sushi so fad, aber das hier war wirklich sehr sehr gut. Die Pho war sehr würzig und gut garniert. Ich habe es sehr genossen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und das ambiente gemütlich und schön. Hier komme ich gerne wieder her!

Ein durchaus guter Japaner in Amberg. Der Empfang war etwas holprig, da wir nicht reserviert hatten, aber danach lief es gut. Selbst spontane Gäste bringen Geld, da dass Lokal auch noch üppig Plätze übrig hatte. Wir orderten zur klassischen Vorspeise mehrere Sushi Variationen, die nach angemessener Wartezeit serviert wurden. Das Suhsi perfekt gerollt, genau getroffen und mit Stil serviert, Wir waren sehr angetan von diesem tollen Essen! Wir kommen sicher wieder auch wenn der Preis schon stolz ist und der Service tatsächlich netter wäre. Aber die 5 für das Essen, ist absolut verdient!

Richtig leckerer Asiate, bei dem jeder nicht nur bekanntes Essen findet, sondern auch traditionelle Gerichte. Der hausgemachte Eistee ist sehr zu empfehlen. Der Service ist ausgezeichnet und sogar der Weg zur Toilette ist eine Augenweide. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Essen war schon supi lecker. Doch ich wollte statt Gemüse und Reis Nudeln zum Fleisch.das ging aber nicht. Finde ich schade.

Diese Fine Asian Cuisine Restaurant würde man eher in einer großen Metropole erwarten. Ein kleines Juwel für die Oberpfalz. Der Refresher “Passion Dream” steht stellvertretend für das Engagement des Personals.

Leckeres, authentisches Essen und guter Service

War heute Mittag zum erstenmal da, durchwegs sehr gute Speisen. Ich/wir kommen bald wieder. Mittlerweile waren wir schon mehrfach im Restaurant. Es war immer alles perfekt, bis auf unseren letzten Besuch. Mein geliebtes Thunfisch Tatar war diesmal optisch und geschmacklich nicht mehr wie ich es gewohnt war. (siehe Fotovergleich) Ich werde es nicht mehr bestellen wollen, leider. Alle anderen Speisen waren wie gewohnt lecker. Update 04.04.26 Heute wieder hervorragend gegessen. (Siehe Fotos)

Sehr gute Sushi mit tollem Service

Bisher bei jedem Besuch sehr lecker! Als vegan lebende Person freut mich besonders die Auswahl an veganen Optionen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist auch der sehr gute Espresso. Das Mittags Menü ist zu dem sehr preiswert mit guten Portionen und einer (vegetarischen) Überraschungs-Vorspeise.

Das Essen war gut, aber der Service hat das Gesamterlebnis getrübt. Bei der Bestellung wurden wir wiederholt aufgefordert, lauter zu sprechen, was in einem öffentlichen Restaurant unangenehm war. Zudem verzog die Kellnerin ständig das Gesicht. Man geht in ein Restaurant, um sich zu entspannen und mit Freunden zu essen, und solches Verhalten hat die Atmosphäre zerstört. Ein wenig Höflichkeit und Freundlichkeit hätten viel bewirkt.

Eines der besten Sushi-Restaurants in denen ich war. Ich hatte Sashime und Freunde gemischte Gerichte. Alles sehr empfehlenswert.

Immer wieder lecker, große Portionen und ein super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Egal ob Sushi oder Curry, man kann nicht viel falsch machen. Zu empfehlen ist auch das Mittagsmenü!

Wir waren jetzt zweimal im Cocoon und haben Gerichte von der Mittagskarte gegessen. Die Vorspeise variiert als Überraschung (ein Foto habe ich gemacht). Das Essen war frisch zubereitet und sehr lecker, die Bedienungen sehr freundlich und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis super. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Wir waren am 20.12.25 abends essen, einiges vom essen war ok aber irgendetwas muss nicht gut bzw verdorben gewesen sein. Ich hatte eine Lebensmittelvergiftung und lag 3 Tage flach. Also mir ist das Essen dort vergangen. Sorry für die schlechte Kritik. Aber ein Versehen ist ausgeschlossen da mir unmittelbar danach schlecht wurde

Ich habe heute Abend in einem sehr gemütlichen Restaurant köstlich gegessen. Leider war die blonde Bedienung sehr unfreundlich. Ich weiß nicht, was mit ihr los war, aber sie wirkte sehr mürrisch und müde, was die ansonsten angenehme Atmosphäre beeinträchtigte.

Leider hat die Qualität des Essens nachgelassen. Die Ente schmeckte wie Gummi, und das Curry war mit zu vielen verspielten Zutaten überladen (einfach lecker, nicht so aufwendig). Außerdem verstehe ich nicht, warum man Garnelen und Ähnliches in die Frühlingsrolle geben musste.

Absolutely top-notch. A beautiful Asian restaurant with a wide variety of dishes and drinks. The food arrived very quickly, tasted delicious, and was reasonably priced. The drinks were also a highlight, especially the house-made iced tea. To top it all off, we were delighted by the flambéed banana with a small fire show. Highly recommended, and we would definitely return!

As always, incredibly delicious... we highly recommend Cocoon in Amberg. It's best to reserve a table, as it's always very busy. However, you might get lucky and snag a spot without one. The food is always beautifully presented, and the sushi, in particular, always looks incredibly inviting. Whether it's a large platter for 1, 2, or 4 people, it's not only a feast for the eyes but also an explosion of flavor. We'll definitely be back.

After a field appointment in Amberg, I stumbled upon Cocoon while looking for lunch. EXCELLENT decision 😊 While a bit unassuming from the outside, I found the interior design very appealing. The service was remarkably friendly and attentive. Before the udon noodles, I had three spring rolls with three or four forks of salad for lunch. The udon noodles were delicious and the portions were generous! I'll definitely have lunch here again on my next appointment in the area 👍🏼

Lunch was disappointing—I would have expected more from an Asian restaurant. We had to wait over an hour for "menu items." It wasn't exactly a bargain. Service was okay—friendly. The restaurant is very busy, so there's not much seating—it's cramped.

We ate there for the first time today and were thrilled. As we all know, food is a feast for the eyes, and the way the food was presented...simply fantastic. Everything tasted excellent. The service staff were exactly what you'd expect: very friendly, courteous, and on the ball. We'd love to come back!

The food is very good and tasty it deserves 5 stars but the stuff working there is just not professional. We went there yesterday and they keep walking and looking at our dishes so they can take them out and let us free the table . We had I least 30 minutes left and when we ask for dessert and one beer the girl from stuff working there tell us we have not enough time to eat the dessert and drink the beer 🤦‍♀️. I was very disappointed with this . Paid the bill and went home it’s really not nice for such nice place to have this kind of shitty rude stuff . But like I said food is amazing 🤩 the only problem it’s treating people like this… shame

Great food, reasonable prices, great atmosphere, a bit warm, so don't dress too warmly. Unfortunately, our table was limited to two hours, so you do feel a bit rushed, but the food makes up for it.

If you're looking for Asian cuisine, then there's only one place to go in Amberg and the surrounding area: Cocoon in the center of Amberg. Everything here is freshly prepared and tastes delicious 😋 Friendly service and short wait times round out a visit. Reservations are recommended, so it should be possible even with larger groups. Parking is a bit difficult nearby. I'd definitely go back.

I can only agree with the other positive reviews. The service was quick and friendly; they even joked around with us. Drinks arrived quickly. I had miso soup as a starter and a vegetable curry with rice and tofu as a main course. Both were very, very tasty; the miso soup was just about the best I've ever had. This place is definitely worth a visit.

Friendly service, cozy atmosphere, and a kitchen that clearly knows its way around flavor—Cocoon is the kind of place you leave already planning your next visit. And yes, I’ll be ordering two miso soups next time.

Arrived to the restaurant 10 minutes after they opened. The host stated they could not seat us without a reservation even though there were plenty of open tables. It was my daughter's birthday and she really wanted to eat there so I went on google and made a reservation for 5. I recieved a confirmation that the reservation was made. We arrived back to the restaurant at the scheduled time and was refused service again.

The food was great. Unfortunately, it was much too hot inside. The owners tried using fans, but it didn't help much. It's a shame, because the food was truly outstanding.

I spontaneously went there for dinner on a Monday evening. The restaurant was full, but I still managed to get a seat with a friend. The staff is super friendly. The place is clean and beautifully decorated. The food is the real star here; everything is delicious, from lamb, duck, beef, chicken, etc., all perfectly prepared. The desserts are also outstanding; I could probably eat the coconut pana cotta by the bucketful. I didn't want to stop eating. The drinks are also delicious, especially the homemade specialties like the calpicooler. I found the prices very fair.

Came here on the recommendation of a colleague, and the sushi rolls were fantastic. I had their pho on the second visit, and it was just ok. Clearly the locals expect every Asian restaurant to serve sushi, too bad. There are so many other great dishes to be had here.

A great experience great food for the eye and palate

When I asked if I'd like my noodles without cilantro, the waiter said they didn't use any cilantro. That surprised me quite a bit, but I didn't think much of it. My food arrived, and there was cilantro in it.

The best place for a romantic date. The sushi is the best in the city and the same price as the competition. The difference between Cocoon's sushi and others is that it's real sushi with many varieties and options. They also have a great selection of cocktails and drinks to enjoy with your meal. The servers are very attentive and friendly. Don't miss it!

From the first minute, I was captivated by the stylish, Asian-inspired atmosphere. The quality of the food was simply outstanding. The freshness of the ingredients was unmistakable and the variety of flavors of the dishes exceeded my expectations. The presentation of the dishes was also a real feast for the eyes. Particularly noteworthy is the attentive and courteous service. Not only did we humans feel welcome, our dog was also warmly welcomed and allowed to accompany us into the restaurant - a big plus for animal lovers! In my opinion, the price-performance ratio in the Cocoon is absolutely fair. You get a high-quality culinary experience without having to dig deep into your pockets.
