The food is very good and tasty it deserves 5 stars but the stuff working there is just not professional. We went there yesterday and they keep walking and looking at our dishes so they can take them out and let us free the table . We had I least 30 minutes left and when we ask for dessert and one beer the girl from stuff working there tell us we have not enough time to eat the dessert and drink the beer 🤦‍♀️. I was very disappointed with this . Paid the bill and went home it’s really not nice for such nice place to have this kind of shitty rude stuff . But like I said food is amazing 🤩 the only problem it’s treating people like this… shame

A very nice sushi restaurant with fast and very friendly service. We had a lovely evening, even if the sushi didn't quite blow us away. It was still tasty, but definitely not the best compared to other sushi restaurants. It's still worth a visit!

Great food, reasonable prices, great atmosphere, a bit warm, so don't dress too warmly. Unfortunately, our table was limited to two hours, so you do feel a bit rushed, but the food makes up for it.

If you're looking for Asian cuisine, then there's only one place to go in Amberg and the surrounding area: Cocoon in the center of Amberg. Everything here is freshly prepared and tastes delicious 😋 Friendly service and short wait times round out a visit. Reservations are recommended, so it should be possible even with larger groups. Parking is a bit difficult nearby. I'd definitely go back.

I was there for the first time today at lunchtime; the food was consistently very good. I/we will be back soon. We've been to the restaurant several times now. Everything was always perfect, except for our last visit. My beloved tuna tartare didn't look or taste the way I was used to this time. (See photo comparison.) I won't order it again, unfortunately. All the other dishes were delicious as usual.

I can only agree with the other positive reviews. The service was quick and friendly; they even joked around with us. Drinks arrived quickly. I had miso soup as a starter and a vegetable curry with rice and tofu as a main course. Both were very, very tasty; the miso soup was just about the best I've ever had. This place is definitely worth a visit.

I always love going to Cocoon, especially for the lunch specials ☺️ It has a lovely atmosphere and is nicely furnished (although the chairs are a bit worn). The prices are really reasonable, and the staff are always very friendly. The food is always beautifully presented and delicious.

We were there for lunch. The staff were very attentive, and we were served promptly. We were delighted to receive a welcome from the kitchen, a few spring rolls beforehand. 😊 The main course was very tasty and attractively presented.

But here’s the thing—while the sushi may lure you in, the miso soup is the real reason you’ll be telling your friends, your family, and maybe even your postman about Cocoon. It’s not your standard “polite starter.” No, this one is rich, deep with a hint of sweetness, and so comforting it feels like it should come with a warm blanket and a motivational pep talk. Friendly service, cozy atmosphere, and a kitchen that clearly knows its way around flavor—Cocoon is the kind of place you leave already planning your next visit. And yes, I’ll be ordering two miso soups next time.

Arrived to the restaurant 10 minutes after they opened. The host stated they could not seat us without a reservation even though there were plenty of open tables. It was my daughter's birthday and she really wanted to eat there so I went on google and made a reservation for 5. I recieved a confirmation that the reservation was made. We arrived back to the restaurant at the scheduled time and was refused service again.

The food was great. Unfortunately, it was much too hot inside. The owners tried using fans, but it didn't help much. It's a shame, because the food was truly outstanding.

I spontaneously went there for dinner on a Monday evening. The restaurant was full, but I still managed to get a seat with a friend. The staff is super friendly. The place is clean and beautifully decorated. The food is the real star here; everything is delicious, from lamb, duck, beef, chicken, etc., all perfectly prepared. The desserts are also outstanding; I could probably eat the coconut pana cotta by the bucketful. I didn't want to stop eating. The drinks are also delicious, especially the homemade specialties like the calpicooler. I found the prices very fair.

Came here on the recommendation of a colleague, and the sushi rolls were fantastic. I had their pho on the second visit, and it was just ok. Clearly the locals expect every Asian restaurant to serve sushi, too bad. There are so many other great dishes to be had here.

The food here is absolutely delicious—full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The service is phenomenal! The staff truly take care of you and are incredibly attentive from start to finish. A great experience great food for the eye and palate

When I asked if I'd like my noodles without cilantro, the waiter said they didn't use any cilantro. That surprised me quite a bit, but I didn't think much of it. My food arrived, and there was cilantro in it.

The best place for a romantic date. The sushi is the best in the city and the same price as the competition. The difference between Cocoon's sushi and others is that it's real sushi with many varieties and options. They also have a great selection of cocktails and drinks to enjoy with your meal. The servers are very attentive and friendly. Don't miss it!

Von der ersten Minute an hat mich das Ambiente in seinen stilvollen, asiatisch inspirierten Bann gezogen. Die Qualität der Speisen war schlichtweg herausragend. Die Frische der Zutaten war unverkennbar, und die Geschmacksvielfalt der Gerichte hat meine Erwartungen übertroffen. Auch die Präsentation der Speisen war ein wahrer Augenschmaus. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die aufmerksame und zuvorkommende Bedienung. Nicht nur wir Menschen fühlten uns willkommen, sondern auch unser Hund wurde freundlich empfangen und durfte uns ins Restaurant begleiten – ein großer Pluspunkt für Tierfreunde! Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis im Cocoon ist meiner Meinung nach absolut fair. Man erhält ein kulinarisches Erlebnis auf hohem Niveau, ohne dabei tief in die Tasche greifen zu müssen. A jewel of Asian hospitality in Amberg – also for dog owners! I recently had the opportunity to visit the Asian restaurant Cocoon in Amberg and I absolutely loved it. From the first minute, I was captivated by the stylish, Asian-inspired atmosphere. The quality of the food was simply outstanding. The freshness of the ingredients was unmistakable and the variety of flavors of the dishes exceeded my expectations. The presentation of the dishes was also a real feast for the eyes. Particularly noteworthy is the attentive and courteous service. Not only did we humans feel welcome, our dog was also warmly welcomed and allowed to accompany us into the restaurant - a big plus for animal lovers! In my opinion, the price-performance ratio in the Cocoon is absolutely fair. You get a high-quality culinary experience without having to dig deep into your pockets. Cocoon is an absolute recommendation for anyone who is traveling in the Amberg region and wants to enjoy authentic, high-quality Asian cuisine in a stylish ambience and doesn't want to leave their four-legged friend at home! There were five of us (including children) because of the great reviews about the food. What can I say, it's true. The service is great, friendly and accommodating. The orders came very quickly and the food is amazing. From the starters, spring rolls with minced meat, octopus balls, edamame with garlic, dim sums, main course, ramen noodles (the soup was really big), various sushi variations, to the dessert, baked banana and baked ice cream, everything was fantastic. We (unfortunately :-)) had to order several times because it was really tasty. I think the price-performance ratio is absolutely top for this quality. We can only recommend this restaurant. The only negative thing is that unfortunately we live 400km away and therefore can't come regularly, which we would definitely do if we lived here. Thank you for the incredibly great experience!!! Small suggestion for improvement. It's very warm in the restaurant (maybe it was because of my soup 😄), but maybe air conditioning would make sense.

Super leckeres Essen sowohl Vorspeise, als auch das Hauptgericht. Ging recht schnell. Ein wirklich gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Auch der Bereich im Keller auf dem Weg zu dem gewissen Örtlichen ist sehr nett gestaltet. Gerne wieder.

The food was delicious. After we paid, the waitress came back to our table and whispered in my ear that my hair was showing my ears too much, pushing hers forward as she did so. I find such inappropriate comments unacceptable, especially from service staff. After the visit, I felt very unsettled. I found this comment completely uncalled for; it was even offensive.

I really like the selection of sushi, main courses and drinks! I can recommend the restaurant to anyone in the area. :) But I would recommend making reservations in advance for dinner on a weekend evening. Hey foodies , If you need a place for comfort come here . Cocoon was such a nice, lovely and friendly place. From the Tea , to sushi , to curry and pho I will always recommend this place. The beautiful part about this restaurant is that , that the menu has both English and German . So for my out of towners ( don’t worry.) Number : 444 beef pho ( one of the best I’ve had in Germany) Chicken curry : 9/10 ( my partner had this, she was amazed . The chicken was cooked to perfection. The curry was cooked to perfection wasn’t too much nor too little) Bangkok autumn tea: 10/10 for me , 7/10 ( for my partner , she likes her teas sweet . Buuuut I know she’s going to try more ) Tokyo drift : 9/10 it was subtle drink , not strong which is something we love about adult beverages. A drink that had the right balance of fruity and savory. Rosemary touch : 10/10 was a beautiful balance between the rosemary and of course a touch of everything else . The presentation we were given were beautiful ( we just ate a little bit first better photos next time of the food before we dig in lol ) All in all : I would recommend this restaurant to everyone ! Food and service (especially service!!) top. The only thing that was a bit uncomfortable was the time pressure. We only had 25 minutes to eat before the main courses arrived. Ambiance is just slightly kitschy, I like it. Had homemade iced tea and something reminiscent of Sprite. My companion 2 cocktails, everything wonderful.

There wasn't enough on the plate for the price. The taste is very good, I hope the portions will be bigger again.

Very friendly and courteous service. Food was very good. Busy restaurant, so reservations are essential. We got there half an hour early, but still got our seat straight away. Food can also be picked up. There are a lot of customers at the counter, so request a table a little away from the counter if possible. Any time.

The ingredients were fresh and balanced and the preparation was just sweet......... The individual ingredients were not used! I had kimchi shrimp soup which wasn't there Kimchi taste had a shrimp. Octopus salad What just tasted sugary sweet that bit of octopus was probably squid. Main course Rumored lunch The good fresh vegetables were drowned out by all the sugar, just horrible. I asked the boss if he could order the dishes without sugar if I came back. To which he said that wouldn't work since everything was already prepared and could add lemon juice. What nonsense. Result I will never come back!!!!!!!

Cocoon - a restaurant with class. It is not the beautiful ambience with light wood and dark decor that attracts people to the store. Nor are the polite and professional staff who know how to serve and internalize the phrase "customer is king". It's the delicious food. They value appearance, taste and freshness. Probably one of the biggest competitors to the other Asian restaurants in Amberg. Definitely worth a visit. About my order Sushi vegetarian Ramen vegetarian The sushi was beautifully prepared and tasted fresh. The portion, which seemed small at first, filled each of us and we regretted the size of the order. The ramen was made with thick noodles and garnished with seaweed leaves, vegetables and tofu. It tasted fresh and looked very appetizing. However, the taste was too bland for me personally and it lacked a bit of spice, but that's just my personal taste.

The best Sushi restaurant in Amberg and probably the whole of Bavaria. I have been eating here for years and it remains unbeatable. The atmosphere and presentation of the dishes is also top notch. On weekends it is a good idea to reserve a table in advance.

We have been to this restaurant so many times now and have never been disappointed. No matter how busy it is, the service is great and food and drinks come quickly. It tastes excellent and it is always beautifully prepared and varied. Went there again today to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was excellent as always.

The Cocoon managed to convert me. I wasn't a big fan of fish sushi. Yesterday I dared to try it again and was extremely positively surprised! There were slight communication difficulties when ordering, but these were quickly and easily resolved. The ambience is just great! I love the chairs (even if the faux leather is unfortunately coming off almost everywhere) and the seasonal Christmas decorations are not exaggerated, but still super nice. I can only recommend the Cocoon. This won't be my last visit.

We live about half an hour away from Amberg but always find a way to pick up sushi from Cocoon because it’s truly delicious. The staff is always friendly and attentive, and we are happy to recommend and go back as often as possible.

This restaurant is simply amazing. For soup I used the delicious miso soup. The homemade iced tea tastes very good. Unfortunately, just a little too little for a price of almost seven euros. Since I was in the mood for sushi and the menu offers many types of sushi, I took “Sushi Master Tip”. A mix of several types of sushi for just under €27. The fish was very fresh and the decoration was very imaginative. The portion size is easily enough for one person. The service was very nice and always asked if everything was okay. When I paid I got a fortune cookie. Since everything went well in my opinion, I give this restaurant five stars. I will definitely come again on my next visit to Amberg.
