Great kebab, crispy bread, fresh salad, plenty of meat!

I should actually rate other kebabs lower... Because this one is REALLY GOOD! Veal and chicken with tzatziki, salad, etc. Everything tastes well. The ambiance is okay—it's right in the middle of town, after all. I like the staff—they were very nice and friendly.

It is in the medium quality. It doesn't admit card payment...

The meat was unfortunately very dry and tough, but the service was quick and without any waiting time. Prices are reasonable, but you can get much better quality elsewhere for the same price. The friendly server walked through the store and offered free watermelon slices! Very attentive, which is why it earned a few plus stars!

One of the best durum I've ever eaten. That's why we went there two days in a row. The bread is baked fresh upon order. I've never seen that before. The quality of the meat could be a bit better, but that's just complaining at a high level. Definitely recommended!

I chose this restaurant because the reviews are significantly better than those of its direct competitors. I was greeted warmly and asked what I wanted. I had a doner kebab plate with chicken and salad. The food arrived quickly at my table. The salad tasted fresh, and the chicken was the perfect mix of juicy and crispy. I thought the portion size was appropriate for the price. I especially liked that the sauces were served separately. I found the seating inside the restaurant very pleasant. City Kebap Haus also offers outdoor seating. However, these are on a main road, so they weren't suitable for me. I didn't like the fact that I couldn't choose the sauces and they were chosen for me. I also didn't think the fact that card payments aren't possible was ideal, especially these days. Especially in a city with as many tourists as Cologne. But the criticisms wouldn't justify a point deduction.

I've eaten here twice already and I'm extremely satisfied with the food. The ambiance, service, and cleanliness are top priorities here. And they have a huge selection of delicious food, and not only does it look delicious, it tastes delicious too.

The kebab was okay, but the guy was pretty much the rudest person I've ever met. We ordered two kebabs, he asked what the first one should be like and then started making the second one exactly the same and then argued when we said something. He was quiet then and didn't even say goodbye when we left after dinner. Really an example of how things shouldn't work.

I paid 10 euros for the kebab here at Carnival. Unfortunately, it was too late to notice that the price list was marked at 7.50 euros. When asked, they said this was a “carnival surcharge”. RUDE Never here again... first of all, it wasn't particularly well filled and certainly not tasty. There are better alternatives in Cologne.

The food was very good, but unfortunately the same cannot be said about the service. The gentleman who served us was quite cynical to me when I asked several times because I don't understand Kölsch that well. The worst incident, however, was when my friend went to the toilet and suddenly a “weird” man, who had been sitting in the restaurant the whole time without ordering, followed her. I had a bad gut feeling, so I immediately followed. When the man saw me, he turned back... I reported this to the waiter, but his response was simply, “Why are you saying that to me???” Such an attitude is completely unacceptable. However, I must add that another employee was much more understanding in responding to my complaint...

A kebab costs €10 and isn't even completely filled, the cola had to be paid for in cash directly at the fridge and not at the counter with the kebab. Staff unfriendly, the price is in no way justified, unfortunately I didn't look at the prices until too late. Never again.

Ate a Dürum with veal there at Carnival, apart from the fact that I was charged €1.50 more and said it was a carnival surcharge, that was my worst Dürüm in a long time.

This was the best Dürüm I have ever eaten: the dough was freshly kneaded and baked and was incredibly delicious! We were also served very nicely and quickly, even though it was just before closing time! But we ordered takeaway, so I can't say much about the ambience :)

We were there on Saturday January 4th, 2025. Very tasty 🤤. Fresh ingredients, the dough was freshly baked and the meat looked like it was grilled A little more spice, but otherwise GREAT. Employees were funny and polite. It's just a bit small. I also found the price for a Dürüm to be a bit much at €9.50. As a tip: there are also veggie things/falafel etc. But, it was tasty, fresh and we were full 😜. Highly recommended 😁👍🏻

One of the most delicious dönners I have tried so far, the bread is fresh baked and the portions are very good for an 8 euros sandwich, definitely will come back!

Dürüm was a complete hit: well filled and deliciously seasoned. However, the kebab pizza could use a little more flavor, the tomato sauce almost tasted like pureed tomatoes. The kebab plate looked better in the picture. Unfortunately the fries weren't that great. Unfortunately the tables were a bit dirty. But the meat was really great!

EDIT - The store is NOT Turkish! So please no Turkophobia here. <3 The oil for the fries was probably rancid again. As soon as I finished eating, I had a stomach ache. Arrived home for hours. I won't soon forget the pain and the sight after the ***. Just this much, I was allowed to look at my meal for the second time, almost undigested. Unfortunately this isn't the first time, but this time I wanted to warn people!

Believe me this is the best food in the world and I am talking about the shaowermar . In addition people & staff are working there all if them are respectful . It’s so tasty, serve hot and fresh bread.

My family, friends and I often come here spontaneously after work when we are hungry for kebab in the city center. The service people are always nice. And the food delicious. The only thing I've noticed now is that the tzatziki/garlic sauce often tastes different. Sometimes the note and taste are very tasty and sometimes it just tastes like quark/yogurt, so that I'm not happy with the sauce, for example, and the plate as a whole just tastes okay. What I'm getting at is: the kebab (plate) is always top and delicious. But if you only enjoy the sauce completely, you might experience a taste of more like a 3 out of 5. I still enjoy coming here and am always surprised 😊

Doner kebab is delicious, but water €2.50 is an absolute disgrace

Very expensive. I ordered a kebab with chicken, which I received, but later discovered that the receipt had been charged for veal. A small bottle of water for 2.50 euros and the fries, which were supposed to be a small portion, for 4.00 euros and were also not fresh. I gave the ketchup and mayo back and it was still charged on the receipt. What was missing was the taste. Never again. Check your receipt before leaving.

Food is amazing! I have to eat gluten free and I ate rice with chicken and vegetables. I was delicious. The staff is kind and they bring everything to the table. Really recommend.

The fries were sold by you from an old customer and as freshly made. However, hard and extremely unhealthy and also very tasty! Please don't forget that you also ran out of tzatziki!!! What's that supposed to mean? Then you have to at least reduce the price!

I bought meat doner with bread. The meat is all fat and sinew, it's not chewy. I didn't like the atmosphere inside and the attitude of the employees.

According to Google reviews, I became aware of the Kebab House here in Cologne. But unfortunately I was disappointed. This was by far the worst kebab I have eaten. The meat was very fatty, the sauces had no real taste, our sheep's cheese tasted rather sweet. The service was ok. Price performance definitely not justified in terms of taste.

The new steak meat is very, very tasty, can only be recommended.

Grilled dishes are not particularly tasty in terms of taste. Staff nice and friendly Self-service Located right on the street. Eating outside is too loud and every passer-by who walks by can look into your mouth.

City Kebap Haus is a great spot for delicious halal food. The portions are generous, and the crispy fries are a treat. We loved their amazing garlic sauce. Plus, they offer free restrooms. We tried the mixed döner plate with fries, chicken, cheese, and tomatoes, and it was fantastic. We asked for extra bread, and they brought it with a smile. The place isn’t very fancy, but the food is top-notch. While they don't have high chairs for kids, they do have comfortable seating for mothers and children, and the atmosphere is family-friendly.

This morning, shortly before 10:00 a.m., an elderly man collapsed in front of the Kebap House. The kebab was already occupied by employees. The pensioner was no longer responsive and was resuscitated by the employees until the pensioner had vital signs again!!! This is worth more than all these subjective reviews here. Cheers to the employees! Cheers to humanity. Thanks!!!!! I felt the need to share this with the internet.

I've been eating at this place in the evening at least 5 times a week for about 10 years. It's a family business with its very friendly staff. I recommend it to everyone. I'm very grateful that today there is still something so good about everything 🙏🙏

10€ for a Dürüm with meat... The meat was good, but the side dishes not so much. There were no onions and Sriracha sauce was used as hot sauce!!! Disappointing. The service was quick and the checkout was quick... it was carnival, so I can't say anything negative about it. But the toilet was supposedly broken, which was very stupid. Overall it was okay, but not a taste experience.

Unfortunately not a good kebab and far too expensive for what you get. The meat and salad are mediocre in comparison. The decision to replace the hot sauce with Siracha isn't to my liking either. Unfortunately, €9 for a kebab that is no better than below average is too much. Probably not going to the City Kebap House again.

I find it really sad that you politely ask if you can go to the toilet for a moment and then get the answer: the toilet is blocked for non-guests. A complete minus. But what can you ask for? Thumbs down .

Döner lecker und gut. Ambiente düster, Damentoilette unsauber. Gastraum sehr kalt wenn man den Platz an der Heizung nicht ergattert.

Wir waren abends zum Konzert in Köln und wollten noch kurz etwas essen. So zentral in der Innenstadt am Neumarkt haben wir nicht viel erwartet. Aber was soll ich sagen? Die Salattasche all inclusive war super. Nicht nur Eisbergsalat und Kraut, sondern Blattsalat, Paprika, Peperoni und sogar Feta. Richtig lecker. Und der Preis ziemlich unschlagbar. Dass das Essen dann auch noch auf echten Tellern an den Tisch geliefert wurde, hat den Aufenthalt zusätzlich verschönert. Wir kommen jederzeit gerne wieder.
