Please avoid this place; it's not what it used to be. The interior is cold and outdated, and the food quality isn't what it used to be. The meat wasn't cooked through! Very bad, unfortunately!

Unfortunately, I got rotten meat that smelled of fish. I probably got it from the trash, otherwise the whole store would stink. I hope I don't have food poisoning. I asked about it, but they didn't understand.

Hello, I've been there twice now (no photos taken). The first time, I thought, "Wow, what a vibe." That's why I visited City Grill with my girlfriend for the second time, and this time I got the same vibe from the first kebab (!). The kebab is homemade, and you can taste it. If you love red and white cabbage with onions and cacik, you've come to the right place. They also have fresh ayran, and the kebab is divine. I highly recommend City Grill; I drive all the way from Laatzen to Hildesheim. Mercimek is also delicious. It's served with lemon and fresh bread. The kebab is well-topped and super juicy. As I said, it's like the first kebabs were served. For me personally 🤤😋👌. I'll definitely be back. But next time, I'll order a kebab plate with Adana. Mercimek to start with, and fresh ayran to drink. Anyone who serves fresh ayran is definitely a plus. It's one of my favorite kebabs. Thanks

The best kebab in Hildesheim. Ever since I was little, this place has been the place for the best kebabs. Everyone is nice and friendly :-) Also, as far as I know, the only kebab in Hildesheim that's homemade.

I ordered a small chicken doner pizza, a doner kebab, and a side of fries and waited 45 minutes! The food was "relatively" warm but still tasty. Otherwise, the food was way too expensive! I'll probably stick to other restaurants.

Today I ate a standard veal doner kebab there for 7.50. It was thrown together without any love or enthusiasm. The "meat," seasoned beyond recognition, tasted disgusting. I was very hungry, but I couldn't eat it!

I bought a doner kebab there today and I'm never going back. I haven't had such a bad doner kebab in a long time. The coleslaw was inedible, the bread was a disaster, and the meat wasn't cut fresh.

The doner kebab wrap is unbearable. A real shame for the once-good reputation. This was probably the last time I'll buy a doner kebab here. The meat is unappealing, and the coleslaw is meant to overshadow it.

The food was truly disgusting. Never again!!! I advise everyone to stay away. Tastes like sheep or goat. I've NEVER eaten such disgusting kebabs. Hair in the food is nothing compared to that! No further recommendation. If I could, I wouldn't give it a star at all. Too bad, we were looking forward to a kebab and all we got was disgusting. I'll never forget the smell of the meat. About the order: You order a completely normal kebab with tzatziki, veal, onions, and salad. You get disgusting meat with sauerkraut and yogurt sauce.

The food has tasted the same since the 80s and is simply the best and, above all, “real” doner meat that you can get in Hildesheim.

It used to be good... Now it's just living off its former good reputation. We got a kebab to go and the meat was inedible. The staff were unmotivated and didn't seem very friendly. I'd definitely advise against it.

Fresh, delicious, and exactly to my taste! The homemade meat was beautifully seasoned, the bread crispy, and the vegetables wonderfully fresh. Much better than anything from a takeaway – simply authentic and made with love!

I got a dürüm after a long day and I didn't have enough money for a drink or something (didn't ask for a free one or anything) and then a nice employee gave me a free ayran which was very nice of him

Top shop, very nice employees and the skewer is inserted yourself. (beef) You'll also feel full.

Disgusting, really, the whole meal was full of oil. We ordered a kebab box, everything was with oil and everything was with oil. When we called to ask what it was, we were told it was supposedly normal because of the meat, so not recommended

I really enjoyed ordering food there, but the last two times I was very disappointed! I got food soaked in oil and after I called them, I couldn't really pronounce it and was told that that's just the way it was !No offer to take it back and everything was dismissed in a very unprofessional manner! It was very disappointing and we are still hungry!

From the outside I would never have expected such excellent quality. Fresh Ayran. Meat is also great. And super nice employees. Competition stimulates business. There's actually only competition and gaming stalls nearby.😅

We ate there as a group. The staff was extremely friendly and things went quickly. The grilled dishes were all quite decent and attractively arranged. The pizza was an unspectacular fast food pizza. The kebab took some getting used to and was interpreted with a ready-made sauce (yogurt-dill?). Cash only.

Unfortunately, the second time instead of normal calzone, I got calzone with doner meat.

The kebab was the best in the area in the 90s. Unfortunately the meat has deteriorated. Also in the aftertaste. The sauce was very stuffing and the bread was very dry. All in all, I hope that the operators invest in the concept and also in toilet hygiene if necessary.

We have ordered from them several times and have always been extremely satisfied. We actually always order the same thing there and there have never been any problems because we were over the minimum order value. Today we were told very rudely that they wouldn't deliver even though we hadn't even finished the order! Will not be ordering there again!

Unfortunately I’m not satisfied with my food. One of the worst kebabs I’ve ever had. They overloaded it with cabbage, put in a slice of tomato and a thin layer of meat, that tasted like the bottom of my shoe. It was just plain and dry. I do NOT recommend this place and I don’t think it deserves the rating that it has.

Terrible, the meat tastes like an "old shoe sole", not nicely prepared and all finished goods. Too bad, it's not worth 1 cent. 😢

Unfortunately I have to give 1 star somewhere to rate it. I've been a cook for 12 years. I know kebab has nothing to do with cooking, but I wouldn't even give what they sell as kebab to my children because they have no idea. It's the worst food I've ever eaten since I had one I have eaten and have eaten kebab 4 times for 29 years. Just money laundering, the main thing is without a receipt

City Grill used to be the best kebab in Hildesheim. Unfortunately, today you can no longer recommend it. Never had such a bad kebab (probably cheap meat). I suspect that a new owner has taken over. You don't know the faces either. It's a shame that was the last time

OK, the atmosphere is not very inviting, but the service is quick and very friendly. The food, on the other hand, is very tasty, although I'm not rating the typical kebab or pizza, but especially the amazing Adana Kebap (spicy minced lamb skewers with flatbread and grilled vegetables), which is prepared on site on the charcoal grill. Really awesome - plus Ayran from the well - awesome!

The shawarma is an insult to all Syrians and Lebanese and absolutely not recommended. It was just bread with vegetables. And we didn't even get a plate. Please close the shop, it would be good for society. I am also suspicious of this store because card payments are not possible - please investigate the tax office. Thanks for your attention.

Very tasteful dishes. There is something for everyone here. We always enjoy coming here. The price-performance ratio is also right here.

Nicht zu empfehlen, wärmen das essen vom Vortag wieder auf und wieder verkauft!!! Geht gar nicht, mir ging es nach eurem Essen richtig schlecht!!! Werde morgen das Gesundheitsamt informieren, dann können die sich den Laden mal genauer anschauen. Finger weg von diesem drecksladen, es gibt bessere Alternativen in Hildesheim!!! Und ich bin nicht der einzige der das hatte, meine drei Kumpels die auch den Fraß gegessen haben, hatten genau die gleichen Magenprobleme danach. Also ich wiederhole lasst die Finger weg von diesem Laden!!!! Wir werden auf alle fälle morgen früh das Gesundheitsamt informieren!!

The kebab meat (veal and chicken) wasn't that tasty. It was relatively fatty and the veal was even slightly sour. The sauces were all store-bought products. The salad was not fresh. The fries were the best part of both dishes. The staff was nice, but several things were forgotten: a drink, the question about my choice of sauces and whether I would like rice or fries with the kebab plate. After asking, everything was brought afterwards. The shop seemed clean. Overall, it seems to me as if the staff is saving effort. I probably wouldn't eat there again.

Without exaggeration the worst kebab I've eaten in my life! Insane, the slice of tomato was the highlight of the otherwise horrible kebab, meat tastes like a week-old meatball from the microwave. We ordered kebab with everything, and then came a little ready-made coleslaw with yoghurt and a slice of tomato - and that for €7 I'm at a loss for words, I've never thrown away a kebab before

Best kebab I've ever eaten. The meat is so special, I've never experienced it before and I've had a lot of kebabs. Simply perfect Once you've been there, just go there and order an Ayran with it, it's just as good. There are also other dishes, so there is something for everyone. Stay as you are, you're a great team.

We ate a kebab plate with fries. The fries, the salad and the flatbread served with it were great. The meat, however, was inedible and really disgusting. The service was top and quick.

By far the worst kebab I've ever eaten! Meat didn't taste like anything and was far too fatty. Pizza wasn't done. The only good thing was the cola.

The food is quite good, but the kebab man doesn't want to respond to any special requests. Also extremely unfriendly and unsympathetic, as if the gentleman didn't want his job. It's better to order at the table instead of at the counter.

After about 15 years, I ate a kebab again at City Grill 🥰 many people always said that it wasn't that good anymore, but I was taught otherwise 🥰 the service was very, very nice, the food was also very tasty 😋

I have been a guest at City Grill since 1997. The homemade kebab is unbeatable! The Adana skewer is also excellent! Kind regards from Hanover to the team.

Süper hizmet ve Süper yemekleri var.

Stets freundliches Personal, frisch zubereitetes Essen von guter Qualität. Preise sind durchschnittlich, dafür geht man aber auch wieder zufrieden nach Hause.

Das Döner Fleisch schmeckte nicht gut und das Brot auch nicht. Außerdem war nur Krautsalat mit im Dürüm. Dafür 6 € geht garnicht. Eine Dose Uludag 3€ ist ebenfalls unangemessen. Auch die Herren am Tresen waren nicht freundlich, man hat auch nicht gefragt wie man sein essen gerne hätte. Es wurde einfach reingemacht.

Das Essen ist immer frisch und lecker hatte noch nie was zu meckern. Der Service ist gut , das Ambiente ist in Ordnung.
