Cielo Weimar in Weimar

Breakfast was a top experience - highly recommended! We have eaten at Cielo several times (morning and evening) and so far we have never been disappointed. The breakfast this time was great again - quality, service and price-performance ratio were great. We had "the medium Cielo" and "the oriental Cielo", each with a natural omelet. When I initially wanted to order a fruit salad with yoghurt, I was initially advised against it: "You can't do that! Suggestion: wait until after dinner, and then if you're still hungry, feel free to order." I wasn't - and thanked you for the excellent food and attentive service. Any time!

We were looking for somewhere to have breakfast and came across Cielo. Normally fully booked, would give us the opportunity to have breakfast there. Very friendly and attentive staff and a large selection of different delicious dishes confirmed our decision. Highly recommended!!!

Very tasty and high quality food, great service (also from the boss himself) in a stylishly furnished restaurant in the middle of Weimar city center. Absolutely recommended! The only minimal point of criticism is the parking situation in the surrounding area. For non-residents arriving by car, we recommend parking in the underground car park at the Goethehaus - from there it is about a 400m walk.

I had a bit of trouble writing this review, because being charged a full price for two dissatisfied guests and a completely wrong meal... I've actually never experienced that before, and I'm used to it differently. To begin with: I think the first sentence when you arrive at a restaurant should be "Good evening" or "welcome" (that's how I learned it), but here it was "do you have a reservation?" We didn't, but we got a table anyway. I really like that they have so many low-carb options. Unfortunately, it then seemed to get crowded and confusing; in any case, we were given the wrong meal, and the fish was really dry, too. This was actually addressed constructively and explained, and then the correct meal was supposed to be delivered. But since my table neighbors had already finished, I didn't really want to do that anymore. Unfortunately, they ignored it. I had to have it packed up. Another pasta dish also unfortunately had to be returned almost entirely (that was a matter of taste). In any case, I was really surprised to be charged a full price. Not even a drink as an apology—that's something we should really reconsider. But we didn't want to argue any further, so we simply adjusted our meal plans for the next day. It's a shame.

Eaten well and quickly in a nice atmosphere! We were here for lunch during the week. Interesting menu, very friendly service, nice relaxed atmosphere, drinks and food quickly at the table, fair prices. We'll definitely come back again. 😉

The food was excellent. The best we had in Weimar. The restaurant itself had a train station atmosphere: loud, uncomfortable. I will definitely visit this restaurant again because for me the food is the most important thing.

We were there for breakfast. The store was quite busy and service was quick. Therefore 1 star for the service. Otherwise the waitress, I assume the boss, was quite arrogant and could have simply avoided some of the comments. For me that has nothing to do with a pleasant morning. The food was good, but you could easily make it yourself at home. I also think it's too expensive for the quality and quantity obtained. I don't have to go out to eat for that. The ambience was pleasant, the location and furnishings are nice. A little background music wouldn't have been bad. Let's see what it's like next time...

Had breakfast here and everything was TOP.

The food was excellent and the service had a good dose of dry humor. We were there with a larger group and everyone found something for themselves. There are vegan dishes, low carb, Mediterranean and separate holiday menus (Christmas). The desserts (crumble 🤤) are also highly recommended. However, the restaurant is not barrier-free and there is no changing facility for babies.

The bass after 10 p.m. on a Sunday and often during the week is really annoying if you live right next to it, thanks for that or something And the toilet doors are terrible

Here you will be warmly welcomed and, above all, just as warmly served. Here the guest is still worth something. Exceptional but also traditional dishes are always fresh and prepared in-house. If you value quality, you've come to the right place

We went to the after work party on December 27th, 2024. The buffet was very varied (game, poultry, vegetables, etc.) and tasted perfect. The staff was very friendly and the cocktails were delicious. I thought the prices were good. Entrance fee was 15€ and the Aperol 6 was 50€. Unfortunately it was far too full and around 300 tickets were sold. My recommendation would be to increase the price and have fewer guests.

Very nice. Dog friendly. Water was immediately provided for our little one. The service was great and so was the food. The ambience is good and the volume is also okay.

Very nice lunch today, Christmas Day. Very friendly welcome, comfortable seating and very friendly service. All dishes, starter (port wine pear), main courses (goose breast/duck leg/vegetarian risotto) and dessert (caffè affogato/pear crumble) tasted excellent, were visually appealing and plentiful (thanks for the extra sauce)! We would be happy to come back if our path takes us to Weimar.

We were there for breakfast with the family, in the back room - the food was very good, but the light and furnishings were rather sterile (like in a conference room), it wasn't that warm overall and a service person rarely came by. But what I found worst was the main waiter, who ridiculed the orders - especially from women - with stupid comments. He thought he was funny, I thought he was pretentious. That's not professional, it's annoying. Unfortunately I don't have to go there again with the atmosphere.

Was at Cielo for a late breakfast, the menu is well stocked and leaves nothing to be desired. Friendly service, very accommodating when asked. It is advisable to reserve.

I was with a larger group, around 20 people, at a celebration at Cielo. We had a very nice, thoughtful and funny waiter. The food was very good and tasty. Our celebration was abruptly interrupted, “…we are now finished.” So we almost had to leave the restaurant in a hurry. Points are deducted for this.

It's a dream to go to Cielo, the food and drink is simply great. The staff is very, very nice and friendly, the bosses are also super nice and we are greeted very friendly by everyone. We always enjoy coming back.

Mustard sauce is delicately spicy but the risotto is very mild so that the entire dish remains balanced. Carrot-spinach-avocado risotto with wild salmon Very tasty wild salmon paired with a delicately spicy risotto. There's nothing more to say here than Bravo 🙏 Dessert Speculaas Tiramisu with blueberries Very tasty speculoos is the dominant part and gives the dish the right extra, but beware of complaining at a very high level: unfortunately the rest of the taste is a bit lost and I would have liked a little more intensity Finally, a very great visit and we will be back, cooking at a high level 👌

We were here and had some teething problems because the menu is digital. But we were quickly helped. The food and this team is worth visiting. The food fresh and delicious. We would be happy to come back and recommend you to others.

Late breakfast possible? Still a nice welcome, it's nice to get closer. Great selection, such as omelette with leek and chorizzo, avocados, bowls, dates, blueberry pancakes, etc. The whole thing was served in a funny way by the staff and very nicely decorated. Small point deduction for the honey and Nutella packaged in plastic. A few candles and music would have made the whole thing a 5 star experience. Highly recommended. Espresso and Prosecco as well.

Anyone who likes this type of cuisine will be happy with restrictions here. Many of our group were satisfied with the cheese-heavy dishes. Pasta with chicken breast and mushrooms was my decision. There was a tasteless, light sauce stuck to the pasta and I didn't know until then that there were such small mushrooms that were present in small quantities. The two pieces of chicken breast were very hard and dry. Except for the boss, who was somewhat arrogant and cocky and called out instructions for the meal reception, the staff was very friendly and attentive. In my opinion, not so suitable for lovers of normal and high-quality cuisine.

The restaurant is not recommended for food. The food was lukewarm, the chicken strips on the noodles were extremely dry. The risotto had nothing to do with risotto. The bruschetta was thickly gratinated with cheese. The wine was okay.

The menu is very balanced, creative and there is something for everyone. I chose a vegan dish and unfortunately it was extremely oily and almost unsalted. The service was great, despite there being a lot of guests. However, we were incredibly disappointed with the owner/boss because he was cynical, impudent and basically behaved inappropriately, which means we will remember the visit somewhat negatively. If you want to ignore that, going to a restaurant there is not a mistake.

We enjoyed breakfast at Cielo twice as a family at the weekend. The quality is excellent, especially the croissants (they taste almost as good as in a French boulangerie) and the egg dishes. The jam is made in-house. The staff is very friendly and attentive. When the boss is on site, he always has a personal word for the guests. It was always a perfect start to the day. Thanks to the Cielo team. We will stop by again the next time we visit Weimar.

The food was very tasty. We ordered two medium steaks and a chicken, cheese and vegetable roll with noodles. The environment was clean and attractive and the behavior of the staff was warm and excellent.

Went to Cielo spontaneously on a Friday (yesterday) and were totally thrilled. We were greeted very friendly and got a table after just 5 minutes of waiting (it was just before 6 p.m.). The food was absolutely great. 🤩 The service with its speed and attentiveness was also great. We'll definitely be back. Keep it up and thank you very much.

Great service, great food. We were guests at Cielo for both breakfast and dinner. A really great team impressed us both times. It is particularly worth mentioning how the topic of gluten intolerance is wonderfully addressed here and how those affected can enjoy it with a clear conscience.

I ordered a risotto with chanterelles. It was more like soft rice cooked in vegetable broth with 3 chanterelles, sprinkled with Parmesan. I don't have to order anymore. Service was OK.

I was there for breakfast. Nice service, great breakfast, you can't complain. Unfortunately, even though it hadn't been open for long, the floor was quite unclean and I also found the toilets to be hygienic and not of an appealing standard. Therefore 1 star deducted from the overall rating.

Wir haben in diesem einmaligen Restaurant/Cafe eine mega Party feiern dürfen. Das Team vom Cielo ist einfach großartig. Eine Top-Organisation vom Anfang bis zum Ende. Es ist nicht selbstverständlich, dass eine Party mit ca. 80 Leuten über 12 Stunden mit allem versorgt wird. Essen war unglaublich lecker, die Bedienungen so aufmerksam und immer zur Stelle. Ein dickes Dankeschön Mark und seinem Team. Die nächste Feier steigt wieder bei euch. Es geht einfach nicht besser, bleibt wie ihr seid.
