Chinarestaurant Yan in Weil am Rhein

We were here at lunchtime and the buffet is very manageable. Unfortunately, many dishes such as duck, calamari and everything baked were fried way too much, almost tough. A lot of things were just lukewarm. The service was very nice and quick. What pleasantly surprised us was the Teppanyaki grill. Lots of sauce and good taste, really hot. The price is rather upper limit in relation to the offer. Positively, if you eat in the restaurant you can park for free for 4 hours and use the time to shop. If you are in the area at lunchtime - we would not recommend going there.

Unfortunately, our visit to the Chinese restaurant Yan was disappointing. Even though we had reserved, we had to wait 20 minutes to get our table. The service then repeatedly ignored us, but after a while they came to us - at least a small ray of hope. The restaurant was overcrowded and the atmosphere was further disturbed by the loud screaming of children. The food was tasteless and definitely not what we were hoping for. Given the price of EUR 35.50 per person, we hoped that the food would at least be of good quality. The friendliness of the service should be mentioned positively, which was at least a small consolation. Overall, however, the experience was unsatisfactory and I would not recommend it.

Were there on New Year's Eve, reservation was forgotten - then (after a long wait) we were seated at the table with others. Food was far too greasy and not much choice. Meat was too tough and hard to chew. Even the dessert was just so-so. The floor was super slippery - you had to walk like penguins on black ice. Service was unfortunately also poor, although they were friendly, you had to remind them several times to order drinks or that you wanted to pay. Definitely not coming back. The extra charge due to the New Year's Eve menu was definitely not justified. Price-performance unfortunately very poor.

Dined here at Christmas for a higher price price than usual. It "claimed" te be a XXL buffet that evening, but everything was the same as usual. The waiting time of the grill is very long, because there is only one chef with a too small grill plate. Quality of the food was mediocre. Not worth the price on Christmas evening, but when compared to the original price, price/quality ratio should be ok.

The worst Chinese buffet I have ever eaten in De District, everyone must avoid lightning! It’s so easy for foreigners to make money for the Germans. There is no Chinese chef in her family, and 90% of the pre-made ingredients are deep-fried, high in oil and salt, and the Coke is watered down and the air is not enough. She is speechless and suspects that the boss is just trying to get good reviews. Re: The boss's reply was hilarious. The two of them tasted 2 hot dishes in total, two stacks of deep-fried dishes and two stacks of hot-fried dishes. They just tasted the taste, and then ate some fairly fresh fruit. There was no human service throughout the whole process, and it turned out that one person ate 15 plates. Especially the hot stir-fry, the so-called iron plate, the shrimps cooked by the chef smelled like pot water and preservatives, which was hard to swallow. In short, this Chinese restaurant does not have a real Chinese chef. The purpose of this review is only to remind Chinese people not to step on the wrong thing. As for the boss's so-called international taste, let the German friends enjoy it. . .

The food really didn't taste very good, very bland and the meat tasted strange. The sushi tastes like it came from the supermarket. The drinks are grossly overpriced and the service wasn't great either. I actually regret eating there.

I have eaten in this restaurant several times. The food is good, the service is very bad. The young lady who serves is not friendly, always seems to be in a bad mood. You can only get a drink if you go straight to her. Actually, she should come to the table and serve you. It's a shame because the food isn't bad.

It is a cozy restaurant with the possibility of sitting outside. Conditions are attentive and friendly. There is a decent selection of dishes available. Food tastes satisfactory. Cocktails also very tasty ;)

The majority of the food was lukewarm, tasted chemical and stale and was generally unsatisfactory. When we pointed this out to the waitress, the lady said, “Yes, there’s nothing I can do.”

I was extremely satisfied, we were there for the second time on December 1st, 2024 and were again completely at peace and happy with our food. We will definitely come back more often and treat ourselves to a great time

Rich buffet Robot serves the food.

Diverse buffet with many different dishes. The fresh preparation with the wok is really great. The highlight for the children is that the robot brings the food to the table.

We ate here for the first and last time today. The service is a disaster, in other Chinese restaurants the service is worlds better. We had to wait forever for drinks and the same for the fried shrimp. Although there wasn't much going on, there was clearly not enough staff.

A Chinese restaurant with 4.5 stars on Google. Wow, we have to go there. The food was OK, but not outstanding. There is definitely better sushi in the area. The seafood came off the grill well, but the meat was very tough. Now where do all the 5 star ratings come from? The restaurant advertises a free cocktail if you share your “positive experience” on Google (see photo). In my opinion, such an attempt to deceive potential customers is not possible; a good restaurant would not need such rating fishing. Of course you can ask for a nice review, but luring people with free cocktails is dubious. That's not what Google reviews are made for and they destroy an objective review image. I would rate the restaurant 3.5 stars, but with such a scam my rating is lower.

Good food, unfortunately they don't refill as often, so the selection is smaller. Surprisingly, the service doesn't speak German, even though you're in Germany. You will be asked whether you speak Albanian

There was a robot that brought us food. It could be 1-2€ cheaper per person. The quality of the fried meat could be better.

Go there only if you are super hungry and all other restaurants are closed. Price are quite high, quality is super low even worst than the worst shady all you can eat buffet in the USA By the way recently they tried to force removing all bad reviews by sending nonsense request to google, i guess most of the people did not fight back hence almost all 1star reviews are gone

You come in and there is radio silence, not a nice atmosphere. There was a waitress who was in charge of the bar and everything else. We were only asked for drinks after we were at the buffet. Nobody cleared the dishes. The things with sauce were mostly oversalted. The grilled things were also overcooked and too salty. Vegetables not fresh. That would never be worth 4.5 stars. Sushi was ok and mango soda too, you could say that. For 25.90 per person, what you got was bitter, at 8 p.m. the buffet looked sad, no one refilled anything.

25 € for the meal is so much plus just a glass of cola 5 €!!! I don't recommend anyone especially families
