The restaurant has been around for many years. The operators have also remained the same throughout the years. Respect for that. However, the food was very poor. The buffet has something of a cheap holiday hotel or a mediocre company cafeteria. It's a shame. We were there every now and then on Sunday lunchtime when there was a buffet. Price performance is no longer ok.

We go here for dinner every now and then. It's a nice restaurant with nice staff. I've never been able to complain about the food here, I've always enjoyed it.

Noch nie so gute Leber gegessen. Auch sonst ganz nach meinem Geschmack. Restaurant war für einen Mittwochmittag ( Bufettangebot) sehr gut besucht. Würde jederzeit wiederkommen.

The buffet is not bad, but not particularly good either. The taste of the baked fish was completely unremarkable, just like the baked banana - no difference. The Krupuk tastes absolutely nothing. Otherwise I've eaten worse. The meat dishes are ok, there could be a little more vegetables. Bamboo and morels are missing, nowhere to be found, actually these ingredients are typical. The service is ok and very friendly.

Very tasty and friendly service. The portions were plentiful and the courses were served at a comfortable distance. Tried on different days. The toilet serves its purpose and has been spruced up as best as possible with llama paper, baby changing facilities are available. For a restaurant in this price range, everything essential and important was right. I'd love to come back.

The restaurant is not recommended. The waitress warns you not to take too much duck cross from the buffet, which I found very rude.

“Golden Dragon” a restaurant where friendly and respectful treatment of guests is not the order of the day!!! The “offer buffet” has a completely different meaning here! Guests who help themselves from the buffet are advised by the staff or warned not to take too much! Staff quote: Don't take so much duck, others would like it too! As a guest you don't hear this at your table but directly at the buffet and very loudly in front of all the other guests! As a guest, I have the right to eat whatever I want and how much I want from a buffet and I don't let the staff dictate this to me - after all, that's what I pay for! It is extremely outrageous and rude to behave like this towards your guests (regulars!)! This restaurant is definitely not worth visiting! What a shame for the city of Salzwedel!

Buffet is really bad, the selection isn't big, the crispy duck was only added a few pieces every now and then and the sauce wasn't refilled at all. 18.90 euros for such a bad buffet is an absolute disgrace.

Been there many times, the last few times the food has deteriorated, the food was lukewarm, the fried vegetables and croquettes were cold and sticky, the sushi doesn't taste good at all... for 18.90 euros, the price + performance is not given... we won't be back, it's a shame

The buffet was rich, but unfortunately everything was only lukewarm and the dishes and sauces lacked a solid, good basic seasoning. It tasted quite bland. This is disappointing. Depending on where you sit, you feel like you're at the train station with people constantly running back and forth (to the buffet) or waiting next to you. The aisle is relatively narrow, the tables and chairs are placed close together. The floor is clean, but somehow a mix between greasy and slippery. Depending on the shoes, this can be difficult.

We were very disappointed. Food cold and tasted very bad. Extremely overpriced for such a meager buffet. We will definitely not come to this restaurant again. Service was the only thing where there was nothing to complain about

Eating is fine, but you always have cold plates at the buffet. If there is a rush and you have to wait a while, the food is cold. This is the third time I've experienced this. Thought it was just an accident the first time, but no. Cold plates are not an option and I come from the catering industry and know how pleasant it can be

Die Bedienung war freundlich. Leider bekamen wir Lichisaft der schon sauer war. Wurde aber anstandslos ausgewechselt. Die Pekingsuppe war zähflüssig und schleimig. Der Reis war fest und möglicherweise vom Tag zuvor. Ente sehr fettig und geschmacklich war es generell alles eher mittelmäßig. Das Obstangebot war recht in Ordnung. Ambiente war recht ordentlich und typisch Asiatisch. Der Teich sollte vorne entfernt werden, da es extreme Tierquälerei ist, solch große Kois zu halten. Zumal Kinder mit Sicherheit auch einfach ins Wasser fassen und die Tiere erschrecken. Da gehe ich lieber gegenüber zum neuen Sushi Restaurant.

Vor einer Veranstaltung im Kulturhaus haben wir hier an einem Freitag gut gegessen. Das Buffet war vielseitig und man muss so nicht lange warten. Wir kommen gern wieder!

Wir sind seit vielen Jahren Stammgäste im Goldenen Drachen. Das Buffet ist immer sehr gut besucht, die Auswahl ist groß. Von selbstgemachten Sushi über gebratenes Gemüse zu Ente und Rind. Alles ist immer sehr lecker. Das Team versucht zudem immer alle Sonderwünsche zu erfüllen.

War das erste mal da gewesen und war zufrieden mit dem Essen. Schönste am Abend war das man mit lieben Freunden zusammen war

Essen sehr gut und reichlich am Buffet. Müsste nur noch wärmer sein um 5 Sterne zu bekommen.

Sehr freundliche Bedienung, Essen außergewöhnlich schmackhaft, Essen beim Buffet wird immer wieder zügig aufgefüllt. Restaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Unser Essen war warm, das Fleisch war sehr zart und die Nudeln mit dunkler Soße super lecker. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Ich finde es altbacken das Mobiliar. So dunkel und nicht Zeit gemäß. Das Buffet am Mittwoch ist in Ordnung.

Sehr sauberes Restaurant in SAW , war das erste mal dort es hat mir sehr gut geschmeckt, Buffet sehr gut 👍 und auch die Bedienung war nett.

Tolles Ambiente, große Auswahl. Personal sehr freundlich. Bei meiner Ente, schwamm das Gemüse im Fett. Konnte ich leider nicht essen. Suppe war lauwarm.

Der Goldene Drache in Salzwedel ist mein favourite unter den Chinarestaurants hier in der Gegend. Das Buffet ist reichhaltig und wird immer wieder aufgefüllt. Aber auch à la carte ist möglich. Das Essen ist lecker und erfüllt die Vorstellungen von chinesischen Speisen. Das Ambiente im Lokal ist ganz klassisch "chinesisch" gehalten. Mit rot vertäfelten Wänden, dem klassischen Koi Karpfen Becken und runden Tischen mit der obligatorischen Drehplatte in der Mitte. Leider schon immer etwas zu dunkel. Das Personal ist normalerweise sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Heute allerdings, habe ich zwischendurch nochmal eine Nachfrage zu weiteren Getränken vermisst. Alles in allem ist der goldene Drache immer eine gute Wahl, wenn man klassische chinesische Küche wünscht.

Ein Geheimtipp in Sachen chinesischer Küche super Ambiente nettes Personal und das Essen ein Schmaus...

Noch nie solch schlechtes chinesisches Essen essen müssen. Ungewürzt, fettig, ölig... Einfach schlecht. Bedienung freundlich.

The buffet had a very poor selection and all was overcooked and drenched in soy. Nudles tasted like dirty pan. Hopefully the ala carte dinner is better, bet don’t bother trying the buffet. Pick up a chinese microwave-dinner at the nearest supermarket and i promise you it will be better.

Leider gab es das Mittagsbuffet nur bis 14.00 Uhr, da war ich etwas zu spät dran (14.30 Uhr). Ich hatte ein alkoholfreies Weißbier (0,5L für 3,90 Euro), eine Frühlingsrolle für 3,50 Euro und Rind mit Gemüse Szechuan Art für 11,- Euro (nur Barzahlung möglich). Das Fleisch war leider etwas gummiartig, sonst war es alles okay (aber eben nichts besonderes).
