China Wok in Frechen

Beautifully modernized; Unfortunately, for a buffet price of €17.80 there was only chicken from the deep fryer. The containers were all empty. Partly unused. We're talking about 6 p.m. so not close to the end. The waitress was spoken to several times. Then it was said come now. Then you came with what felt like 10 chicken strips, which of course were immediately sold out due to the rush. Dessert was hardly anything. The chocolate fountain was dried up and not in order. Unfortunately, you have to say here, just don't go and support it. Something has to happen urgently!

Buffet restaurant. The food was ok, some things a bit cold. It wasn't that busy. Service was fine.

I think the restaurant is great and cozy, even if it's not very busy. That's exactly what I personally find very nice, better than fully-filled restaurants. The service is very nice and polite and attentive, the food is unfortunately not the best but it still tastes good. If you prefer to have some peace and quiet, I can only recommend the China wok.

Yes, the Chinese wok... Arrived at the restaurant around lunchtime today. First we went in and there was nothing going on. There were toys and stuff lying around in the back area. We sat down and the employees were very polite and friendly and greeted us nicely. Now we come to the food. The meat and potatoes were already cold and areas of the fried noodles were hard. The dessert consisted of ready-made things that you can buy in the grocery store everywhere, e.g. ready-made crumble cake and cream puffs. The fruit looked very unappetizing and looked like it was there Already lying around for 2 days. Including fruit and normal flies that flew around over the buffet. It is not my recommendation for the store and no further visit is necessary in any case

All you can eat or all you can wait… no choice except fried food, one thing was refilled after 1 hour and it wasn't even empty, like 90% of the other bowls. You don't get to see the service so you don't get anything to drink and I don't want to talk about the price-performance ratio.

Eating at the Chinese wok... We had arrived too far, at 5.30 p.m. you actually expect a fully stocked, freshly prepared buffet. Sentence with X that's probably not true... The boss was just cleaning up a bit at the buffet. Well then we went out for another smoke. came back in and she slowly started to fill up the buffet, which reminds me more of how: the less the better... As always, the shop was empty, dirty and the floor was very sticky, see leftover ice on the floor and empty Kölsch glasses at the table... Furthermore, when we wanted to enrich ourselves at the warm buffet, I noticed this 1. Didn't clean her properly. 2. The fruit flies had a mega party on the fruit, which means for me it's older than 2 days. 3. The chocolate fountain had dried up and started to mold. 4. The sauce containers had been put in for at least 3 days because what was taken out was already dirty and dried on the edge. 5. There were just as many flies celebrating on the huge piece of meat that had dried out as there were fruit flies on the fruit. 6. Certain meat selections that were in the buffet were dried out and the meat was tough... 7. Possibly more than half of the food from the day before or 2.3 days before is called leftovers. Apparently everything was freshly prepared since there were only the two of us there. Food was bland, didn't taste good... Then everything is overpriced, and then an attempt to lure people in because drinks are free. I'll give it to you for free... We both got food poisoning afterwards. This store will never see me again. Or send the health department/food inspector there, I think the store won't last much longer anyway...

Really good food extremely tasty and super nice server. One of the best Buffets i have tried in Germany so far.

We have chosen the China Wok in Frechen as our favorite restaurant for many years. That's why it's finally time to give a review. Every time we go there, the friendly, family atmosphere washes over us and we immediately feel at home. The restaurant is clean and well maintained, the food is always delicious and the service can't be better. The restaurant really deserves every star in this rating and we are happy every time we go there. We can highly recommend the all-you-can-eat buffet. The dishes are always freshly prepared, varied, extremely tasty and beautifully presented. There really is something for every taste. We were there again today and, after a fabulous meal, rolled back home completely satisfied. Thank you for a great time, the loving service and the great food. The restaurant can be reached via 2 entrances. At 7 p.m. there were only 2 other guests present. The buffet didn't look very inviting, many containers were already empty at 7 p.m. or only baked-on leftovers remained. In my opinion, the food with sauce (eight treasures, sweet and sour chicken, etc.) was not freshly prepared or warmed up. The food was lukewarm. Unfortunately the taste is also below average. The dessert buffet was rather sparse (mini donuts, canned fruit salad, canned peaches, etc.). In my opinion, the peaches had their best days behind them and tasted fermented. A chocolate fountain was on site, but not in use and the chocolate that was still in it looked rancid and old (food crumbs in it, etc.). Unfortunately, a restaurant that is not very recommendable. Despite the relatively low price, you can expect fresh food and in sufficient quantities.

The food was quite good. It was always being refilled. Unfortunately the selection wasn't very large, but that's not to be expected for the price. It's a shame that the chocolate fountain wasn't working today. The ambience was a bit "cool" (I know completely different buffet restaurants) and not quite as inviting (e.g. bicycles from the innkeepers/children in the restaurant aisle). When we sat down, the napkins were just placed carelessly and unfolded in the middle of the table. I can't say much about the service, the lady wasn't very present. But the restaurant and toilets are clean

Food was tasty and it was quiet there.

Prices on the website and on the menu in the restaurant are different. If you ordered for 20 €, be prepared that the bill will be for 30 €. The staff does NOT warn you about price changes. The food is ordinary, not worth the money.

Unfortunately, the food from the buffet was cold and already dried out. It seemed like it was from the morning. We would have been better off going somewhere else. 😔

If you want to eat a buffet here, you should call China Wok first. When I entered the restaurant on April 8, 2024 around 6:30 p.m., I noticed an empty buffet in the dining area. I was probably the first guest, even though China Wok opens at 5:30 p.m. When I asked if the buffet was being refilled now, the boss said "no buffet today". How, I said. She replied "No guest, just one guest, nothing buffet can eat from the menu". I said, you can't be serious. Normally the buffet should have been refilled by 5:30 p.m. “No buffet, no guests”. I hadn't eaten anything all day and was really hungry. Well, it doesn't work that way. Anyone who offers a buffet must also provide this. Or is the buffet only refilled when there are more than 3 or 4 guests in the restaurant. Then China Wok would have to provide a note on the menu and on your website that the buffet will only open after a certain number of restaurant visitors. That was amazing. When I'm hungry, I get pissed. I don't know if something like that violates any regulations. Perhaps this is regulated in the Restaurant Act.

It's like what others have already described: - At the entrance to the parking lot there are bikes and bits and bobs - on the first tables there are school books and a child - it's lousy cold and you have to keep your coat on - the food is also only lukewarm - despite the thermal bridge, but no wonder given the icy temperatures in the room - both the chicken and the banana taste like fish. A deep fryer is probably used for everything - the wine tastes very cheap On a Sunday lunchtime there were only four guests apart from us in the huge room. It's no wonder and we won't go there again.

Very nice service, always friendly and greeted with a smile. The food tastes very good, lots of choice and for the price you can't complain. I really liked the ambience, the inside of the shop was beautifully decorated in Asian style with LED lights and relaxed music was playing in the background. I'd love to come by again 😇

One of the best restaurants in Frechen. Very nice and attentive staff. The food also tastes great with a lot of choice even as a vegetarian. I can only recommend it, you always feel welcome, whether in the morning or late in the evening and the prices are fair too.

2 entrances possible (once from the parking lot and once from the pedestrian zone) Children's chair was dirty. Not much choice at all and what was there was unfortunately mostly empty. Only one service person was there. The food was mediocre in terms of taste. In my opinion, the price is too expensive for the limited selection and most of it is not restocked.

We ate there in a larger group. We were surprised to have found the place at all, as it wasn't easy to find through the entrance from the pedestrian zone. When we got there there was relatively little going on. The atmosphere was rather cool and untidy. The tables towards the rear entrance were filled with school books, toys, bicycles and other private stuff. The high chair that we got ourselves was dirty and sticky. The service was very friendly and nice, always came to check on us and brought the drinks quickly. The drinks are poured directly from the PET bottles into the glasses, which I personally don't like at all. Especially given the prices, I expect to be served from glass bottles in the best case scenario, but also to receive a large glass bottle at the table and not just small filled glasses. Unfortunately, the food wasn't very convincing either. Cold and we had to scrape together the leftovers because they probably won't be refilled at 2 p.m. 😅. The fruit looked really unappetizing. Dessert was actually the most fun. Finished dry streusel cake, cream puffs, purchased pudding dumped together and the chocolate fountain was of course out and dirty. All in all, I would never eat here again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone, because the friendly service won't fill you up.

Türen quietschen…Nerv tötend… Essen ist so olala geht so haben schon besseres buffet gehabt.unser Fazit 1 und danach sucht man ein anderes Lokal.

Raum finde ich ungemütlich. Wir waren im Dezember hier und der große Raum war sehr kalt. Im Eingangsbereich stehen große Kartons und Fahrräder - es wirkt so, als sei man falsch. Essen in Ordnung, aber nicht besonders. Laden am Sonntagnachmittag sehr leer (zuerst waren wir allein, später maximal mit fünf besetzten Tischen). Das Buffet wird dadurch nur selten nachgefüllt und das Essen ist teilweise schon abgekühlt. Nur wenig Auswahl an vegetarischem Essen. Personal ziemlich unaufmerksam. Am Anfang waren wir alleine mit sechs Personen an einem Tisch. Getränkewünsche wurden zügig abgefragt. Bis die Getränke kamen (Saftschorlen, Wasser, Bier), vergingen zehn Minuten. Die benutzen Teller am Tisch wurden nur einmal abgeräumt. Ist ungemütlich gewesen, den Nachtisch zu essen, bevor das Geschirr vom Hauptgericht abgeräumt ist. Aber nach einer gewissen Wartezeit haben wir es aufgegeben, auf das Abräumen der benutzten Teller zu warten. WCs sauber.

Es schmeckt gut, aber die Auswahl ist nicht so groß wie in anderen chinesischen Restaurants zum gleichen Preis.

Buffet wurde nicht nachgefüllt und war kalt. Auswahl auch sehr gering und geschmacklich so lala. Nudeln waren verbrannt. Schade.

Waren das erste Mal dort. Sehr leckeres Essen. Bedienung sehr freundlich. Von außen sieht es nicht so einladend aus. Aber es lohnt sich reinzugehen.

Das war mein erster Besuch. Ohne meine Hilfe wäre meine Mutter mit ihrem Rollator nicht hineingekommen. Stufen am Eingang hoch und ins Restaurant hinunter stören. Innen war es angenehm ruhig, ohne Fenster und mit der Neonbeleuchtung allerdings etwas eigenartig. Das Buffet ist übersichtlich und reichhaltig. Über 11,80 € kann man nicht meckern, jedoch 8 € für 750 ml San Pellegrino sind krass. Außerdem gab es keine Quittung. Daher nur 3*.

Zugegeben, die Gerichte vom Buffet waren viel zu sehr eingedeutscht! Da hat mich Nichts, bis auf die Optik, an echtes chinesisches Essen erinnert. Meine Ansprüche sind da sicher etwas höher, da ich fast 20 Jahren regelmäßig in China unterwegs war. ABER, wer es authentisch möchte, der muss nur fragen. Es gibt eine Extrakarte für chinesische Gäste. Diese Speisen sind dann "original". Ansonsten, die Dame im Service sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Ambiente relativ typisch für chinesische Restaurants. Das Buffet preislich grenzwertig für die Geschmackserfahrung. Wenn ich noch mal dort hin gehe, bestelle ich Original. Und dann gibt es wahrscheinlich auch den 4ten Stern.

Super Pizza und sehr netter und auch kinderfreundlicher Service. Die Gesamtatmosphäre lädt zum Wiederkommen ein. Weiter so 👍. Immer wieder gerne.

Wenig los, Speisen waren entsprechend teilweise trocken. Nachgefüllt wurde nicht.... Essen war geschmacklich ganz gut, daher noch drei Sterne....

Ich mag China Buffets . Wir gehen regelmässig neue Restaurants besuchen. Erst Mal das Positive. Der Preis ist sehr niedrig und es ist sauber. Man konnte alles Essen. Aber! Die Hühnersuppe war fast ohne Geschmack . Sie wurde in einem tiefen Warmhaltebehälter angeboten wo der Deckelhalter kaputt war. Man war so gezwungen den Deckel zu halten, während man tief unten nach der Einlage fischte. Das Buffet wo es Metallschüsseln zum Warmhalten gab war nur wenig befüllt wodurch alles schnell austrocknet. Bei den meisten Speisen handelte es sich um Tiefkühlprodukte die dann Frietiert wurden. Das Restaurant besitzt keine Fenster und das Stimmungsvolle Licht kommt vom LED Lichtschlauch in der Decke und ändert seine Farben. Wie gesagt ,es war alles Essbar und der kleine Junge der vorne beim Eingang mit seiner Switch spielte trug zur familiären Atmosphäre bei.
