We ordered and picked up 6 portions of different lunch menus this afternoon. At first we thought it was a bad joke, but all of the dishes were without salt and the much-praised spices. I myself had M3, the fresh vegetables in coconut cream sauce, which unfortunately, apart from the lack of seasoning, also had the consistency of a mass thickened with a sauce thickener. No trace of coconut. What's that supposed to mean? Maybe the boss could comment on this. We know and love original Indian cuisine, but this restaurant has absolutely nothing to do with it. Over €50 was thrown out the window and the hassle on top of that. Professional honor seems to be a rarity these days.

Open late for night owls like me, lamb vindaloo very tender and spicy, big portions, had lunch the next day. Nice server. Would go again

Please do not eat in this restaurant. I have been eating Indian food a long time. It’s my favourite food but this restaurant shouldn’t be open to staff is coughing and sneezing. I asked him was he okay and he told me he had the flu when you have the flu, you shouldn’t be working on the restaurant, you should be at home. Flu is very easy spread to the customers if not to Coronavirus and the food was horrible.

Called in for take away and take out. Everything tastes great! The butter naan was mouth watering. After reading other reviews I decided to try tondoori chicken masala and it was a good choice. For dessert I got Gulab jamun Using English only wasn't an issue

The moti mahal is an Indian restaurant with delicious food and friendly staff. There is seating inside the restaurant and outside seating in front of the restaurant. Directly next to the outdoor seating is access to the subway, which allows for a quick journey, but also leads to noise and slightly unpleasant smells. The food came to the table quickly after ordering, but the restaurant was still empty. The food tasted good and was nicely prepared. Both the starters and the main course were good. Staff was nice.

This restaurant with an outdoor terrace is located directly at the entrance to the subway station. Very friendly, quick service. Large selection of vegetarian dishes. Good value for money.

I've never had a bad meal here. The food is of a high standard. It could only be sharper. 😉 Sometimes there are problems with communication, for example you get a large drink instead of a small one. The restaurant is a clear recommendation!

Bast Indian restaurant in Garching near Munich

We ordered food for pickup, but the order took significantly longer than stated. The dips had an unpleasant smell, reminiscent of nail polish remover, and were inedible (nail polish remover). The food was barely seasoned and the vegetables weren't cooked properly. Overall we were very disappointed with the food.

I'm not a fan of Indian food in general, however this is by far the best Indian food I've ever tasted. I would eat here a couple times a month if it were closer by. The garlic naan is fantastic as are all the other dishes I tasted that day. Definitely worth eating at.

It used to be better quality. Last visit was the food (Chicken Tikka) well, delivery service level.

Extremely bad butter chicken. Absolutely tasteless and the rice was dry and without any flavor. The worst butter chicken I've ever eaten. The nan bread wasn't baked all the way through. It's a shame, the quality used to be good. Probably a new, inexperienced chef.

We were 8(4 adults+4kids) of us ordering food, the owner demanded us to order 8 dishes which made no sense. Never in Germany I have had such an experience of owners/staffs demanding what we have to eat. In addition, we had other family members visiting the restaurant in few minutes after us, and the same was repeated by the owner.

The Indian cuisine here is quite ordinary, but the prices are significantly higher compared to other Indian restaurants in Munich.

Ideally, the customer should decide what they want to eat and drink in a restaurant. But this restaurant owner has a new German law to force us to order what he thinks is the right amount of food for each individual. And yes. He forced the ladies to leave the restaurant before they had time to drink the tea. And he dares to respond to the feedback on this rule. And he describes the customers as antisocial. Hello all It’s was so misfortune of us that we went to this restaurant around 9.30 PM. We 4 ladies ordered 2 curry and naan and the rest of husbands and friends came later and sat beside us but this dumb owner thought we 15 people ordered 2 gravy for all of us and as we try to explain him that we 4 ladies only ordering 2 gravies for 4 of us but he misunderstood and telling we all ordering two gravies for 15 of us . Even now in comments he is still telling that 15 of us ordering two gravy i really dnt know how to explain him as he is not good in english as well as German and he just copy paste the reply comments for all the customers review who gave 1 star 😂. I never saw such a rude manager. He made us to leave the restaurant at very late night . We were all exhausted and frustrated and tired too . We came long way to try in this restaurant but it was so vain. As a customer I wonder that does owner or manager of the restaurant has the right to tell us what to order or how much to order ? BTW the tea was not so good . I suggest there are other good Indian restaurants in Munich than to waste time and money here. GOD bless you ✌🏻

Everything 5/5 this restaurant has a very nice atmosphere with quite polite staff the position of the restaurant is very good directly above the u6 in Garching I have read the reviews that even some Indians don't appreciate this wonderful Indian they definitely don't stop I went to eat with these people today and I can only recommend it, very nice atmosphere, very tasty food and much more

I ate at this beautiful Indian restaurant today and I was more than happy, you walk in and you think you are in India, the ambience is perfect and the restaurant is beautifully decorated, the food tastes simply delicious, the taste explodes in your mouth Service is also great, the waiters ask several times if everything is ok and are very polite. 4.6 rating is way too much for the subpar service they provide, unfriendly staff especially the staff head. The Manager has the audacity to insist the customer how much they should order. No one has the rights on telling me how much I should order and eat. Never going here again

Extremely rude. The hotel owner has a new rule in the whole of Germany for a minimum number of dishes to mandatorily order. I can always have just a drink if I feel like. And he acted as if he was some sort of a free food donor. We'd never visit this pathetic spot ever in life and would also inform all our friends not to. There are no ratings less than 1 and I am gonna recommend Google to add it just for this place.

Motif Mahal is our favorite Indian restaurant in the area. One reason is the fantastic butter naan. But the main courses are also delicious across the board. We prefer to sit in the restaurant, the outdoor area is unfortunately right next to the subway exit.

Update: unfortunately the food has gone way down... are there any changes to the kitchen staff?! The rice has started to taste musty and unseasoned. The Nan bread used to be fine, but now it was just soggy and bland. The service wasn't interested in the demand. It's a shame - we won't be able to do that anymore. It used to be really good here.

So, let me tell you about this hotel – it's a total disaster when it comes to customer service. Picture this: five of us walk in, two order food, and the rest of us just want some tea. The manager throws a fit, saying we can't stick around unless everyone orders a meal. Like, seriously? He was so rude and short-tempered about it. Trust me, with service like that, this place is heading straight for trouble. Avoid it with all cost. Unfriendly, and we are gonna inform this to our 100 people in the community about this disaster and prevent them from going to this horrible place.

When there's a lot going on, the kitchen can't keep up. The food was cold and tasteless. The service was completely overwhelmed. When someone asked for the very first time AFTER paying if it tasted good and I listed the criticisms above, he said what that means, that's what you're supposed to say while eating. Unfortunately, after the food was put on the table, no one showed up.

Ordered to take away. Butter Chicken and Duck Jalfrezi. Unfortunately it was disappointing. For the hefty price of almost €40 you get dishes that you can easily cook yourself using ready-made sauces. So don't expect a taste explosion. Too little sauce and meat for the amount of rice.

I would definitely recommend it for authentic Indian cuisine. Every dish we had had wonderful aroma , beautifully presented, was of excellent quality and tasted awesome . They prepared everything fresh in their kitchen , do not use tinned products or frozen products . Friendly owners , who personally take care of everything. They have wide variety of starters, main dishes and desserts . It’s right above the Garching U bahn train station . There is also an asian grocery store so if you want to buy some asian stuff it’s right there.

Das Essen war aus unserer Sicht für die Menge eher teuer. Geschmacklich ok, nicht überragend. Onion Bhaji sind hier Zwiebelringe, was sehr komischs und nicht so authentisch ist. Die Kellner sind sehr freundlich.

Occasionally, buy a take away lunch at the Indian restaurant in Garching. The food is very tasty, high quality and the lunchtime menu is excellent value. Also, the food is prepared very quickly, normally within 20 minutes. So I can order my lunch over the telephone and easily walk to the restaurant and be back home in 5 minutes. I definitely recommend the restaurant if you are in Garching.

المطعم جميل جدا ومكانه هااادئ ورايق، الاكل كان طيب والطعم لذيذ جدا ، طلبنا كان خبز نان بالزبده اعجبني جدا ودجاج بالزبده وتكا دجاج وبرياني خضار.

Wohl der einzige Inder in Garching, daher bleibt einem keine Wahl wenn man abends nicht unbedingt nach München rein fahren möchte. Essen ist in Ordnung, die Saucen an sich auch in Ordnung bis auf die hausgemachte Ketchup Sauce mit Chili, welche wohl ein Kreationsversuch für den europäischen Geschmack ist… fairerweise muss man sagen, dass diese kostenlos dazu gibt. Die Freundlichkeit der Bedienung kann durchaus authentischer sein - Servietten müsste man selbst vom Nebentisch holen, man bekommt aber dafür den Reis vom Kellner höchstpersönlich auf den Teller serviert.

Leckeres Essen auf das wir leider sehr lange gewartet haben ( wir hatten kleinere Kinder dabei ) , obwohl nicht viel los war. Deshalb auch nicht 5 Sterne.

Ich war letzten Freitag das erste mal dort mit paar Freunde essen. Das essen war richtig lecker! Es war in der Zeit, wo es auch ein Mittagsmenü gab. Ich hatte aber was bestellt was nicht im Mittagsmenü war. Der Kellner hat mich trotzdem gefragt, ob ich auch eine Suppe von Mittagsmenü haben mag. Richtig lieb! Es gab auch knoblauch Naan, obwohl das nicht auf der Speisekarte stand. Die Portion ist auch sehr viel! Reis gabs soviel wie wir wollen. Jedes mal wenn der Reisteller leer wurde, haben wir Nachschlag bekommen. Der Reis war ganz okey, aber ich bin im allgemeinen kein riesen Fan vom Reis, wenn dieser auf indischer art zubereitet wird. Aufjedenfall kann ich den Ort weiterempfehlen! Auch preislich war der echt gut!

Hab schon um Welten besser indisch gegessen... mein chicken mit Koriander Nusssosse hat weder gut ausgesehen, noch besonders geschmeckt. Der Reiß hat auch nach zu hart und mit wenig Liebe geschmeckt. Auch das Nan, kann man, muss man aber nicht... Die Kellner: nur 2 für ein volles großes Restaurant... sie waren schnell, hektisch, gestresst und alles husch husch. Einer der Kellner hat die ganze Zeit beim Laufen 3 Meter von der Bar die Bestellung der Bar zugerufen, quasi an den Tischen der Gäste, so dass konstanter Lärmpegel erzeugt wurde...

Essen variert sehr stark, mal gut mal sehr schlecht! Es gibt zwei Köche, mit viel Glück erwischt man den Guten. Rechnung wird meiner Meinung nach ungerne erstellt, dass man eine Quittung erhält! Fleichstücke variieren genauso, mal 3 Stücke, mal 7-8 für ca. 16.50 EUR!!!

Sehr guter Indische Restaurant sehr höfliches Personal und flotte Bedienung. leckeres essen mit guten Preis-Leistung-Verhältniss immer wenn ich in Garching bin gehe ich dort essen.
