Die schlimmste Erfahrung überhaupt! Das Hähnchen war halbgar, und die Angestellten behaupteten ständig, es sei durchgegart. Das Personal war unmöglich und hat nur Unsinn geredet. Ich werde dieses Restaurant nie wieder besuchen. Ich bin gegangen, ohne etwas gegessen zu haben, habe aber den vollen Betrag bezahlt.

Ein toller Ort für ein gutes indisches Essen in Garching. Die Lage ist perfekt und es gibt eine große Auswahl an Speisen für alle Ernährungsbedürfnisse. An einem schönen Sommertag lädt die Außenterrasse zum Verweilen ein.

Sehr leckeres Essen und ein freundlicher Service

Das Essen war sehr lecker und frisch. Ich würde sehr gerne wieder hier essen. Die Angestellten hier sind sehr nett und freundlich. Vielen Dank für das leckere Essen.

Das Essen war gut, die Preise aber selbst für den Großraum München etwas hoch. Das größte Problem war, dass man mir keine richtige Quittung ausstellen wollte, obwohl ich erklärt hatte, dass das Kartenterminal keine gedruckten Belege ausgibt. Es wird zwar angezeigt, was man bezahlt hat, aber nicht wann, an welches Unternehmen oder was man gekauft hat. Das gilt nicht als Kaufbeleg. Deshalb werde ich nicht wiederkommen, aber wie gesagt, das Essen war wirklich gut. Ich hatte die Tandoori-Grillplatte.

Ich habe Essen zum Mitnehmen bestellt. Es war ganz okay, aber eine Zutat fehlte. Man hätte ja vorher alles überprüfen können, bevor man mir das Essen gab.

Wir hatten extra angerufen, da auf der Durchreise, hatten aufgrund der umstände darum gebeten, dass man das essen bitte vorbereite. Hat nicht funktioniert, wir warten dann 25 min auf Essen das in Ordnung war aber leider null Kundenorientierung. Definitiv meinerseits keine Bewertung.

Ich bestellte Zwiebel-Baji und bekam Zwiebelringe mit einem leichten Currygeschmack. Wie kann das ein Baji sein? Der Rest war okay, aber nichts Besonderes.

Ich hatte den Moti Mahal Teller mit Lamm und Hühnchen. Das Fleisch war sehr zart und das Gericht super lecker. Liebevoll mit frischem Ingwer angerichtet. Der Kellner war sehr nett. Die Athmosphäre draußen in der schönen Garchinger Altstadt im Sommer traumhaft. Absolute Empfehlung!

Das Essen war köstlich, die Portionen allerdings klein. Die Aromen erinnerten mich an meine Zeit in Neu-Delhi.

Wir haben hier während der Osterfeiertage zu Mittag gegessen und waren insgesamt sehr zufrieden! Gutes Essen und guter Service!

Ich kam zur Mittagszeit und bestellte von der Speisekarte. Mir wurde ein höherer Preis berechnet, als hätte ich à la carte bestellt, und zwar für ein anderes Gericht, von dem man mir weismachen wollte, es sei dasselbe. Auch der Preis für das Getränk (salziges Lassi) war höher als auf der Karte angegeben. Das Essen war fade und definitiv nicht authentisch indisch. Nicht empfehlenswert.

Richtig leckeres Essen mit tollen Gewürzen und sehr authentischem Geschmack. Der Service war super freundlich und aufmerksam, man hat sich direkt willkommen gefühlt. Schönes Ambiente und insgesamt einfach ein richtig gelungener Abend. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Das Restaurant wurde trotz des indischen Markenauftritts von Bangladeschern geführt. Das Essen war in Ordnung, aber der Service hätte deutlich besser sein können.

Das Essen war köstlich; wir bestellten das Mothi Mahal Thali für zwei Personen, es war sehr sättigend und hat uns hervorragend geschmeckt. Der Service war exzellent; wir wurden von einem sehr freundlichen und aufmerksamen Kellner bedient.

Hier ist eine stilistisch verbesserte Version für eine Google-Rezension: Wir waren inzwischen zum zweiten Mal in der Mittagspause hier essen und kommen gerne wieder. Das Personal ist freundlich und aufmerksam, die Speisen werden zügig zubereitet und serviert. Geschmacklich hat uns alles sehr überzeugt. Das Ambiente könnte etwas aufgefrischt werden, da man sich teilweise fühlt, als säße man mit allen Gästen in einem großen Raum. Insgesamt aber eine klare Empfehlung!

Das Motiv Mahal ist unser Favorit unter den indischen Restaurants in der Gegend. Ein Grund ist das fantastische Butter Naan. Aber auch die Hauptgerichte sind durch die Bank weg lecker. Wir sitzen lieber im Restaurant, der Außenbereich ist leider direkt neben dem Ausgang der Ubahn.

It was nice. The lamb was somewhat chewy though the sauce and hot sauce helped. Generally I recommend the venue.

Unfortunately, our visit was not enjoyable. One of the dishes we ordered tasted very rancid and stale. When we pointed this out, the waiter became rude and made fun of us! We then ordered a replacement, but were charged full price for it even though it was clearly only a half portion.

The Thali was delicious (the most important thing, I guess), and everything else was perfect for me, too. The service was friendly, attentive, and quick. I also accepted card payments (which wasn't possible according to another review?).

I had explicitly asked if the butter chicken was not spicy at all, the waiter confirmed and my daughter couldn't eat it for being too spicy. As we had not noticed that from the start, they went into a defensive position and didn't even apologize. I had not asked or expected a replacement as we indeed had eaten most of it already, still not being able to remedy the situation that late was all we got to hear.

Food is good, liked the garlic soup. Chicken gravy dishes are okayish. It’s actually a Bangladeshi restaurant. The waiters are not so polite as you would expect. But overall good for a visit if you want Indian food in Garching or U6 line.

Friendly staff, food was good considering it was 10pm and its in a small town in Germany. Place is huge both indoor and outdoors. I'm sure they must get very busy at peak hours. A very convenient restaurant with multiple vegetarian options on the menu. We sat outside on a warm spring night and had wonderful dinner and conversation until dark. The staff is pleasant and helpful even when the restaurant got busy. The food was excellent!

Great narrative on Indian food and spices in the menu. Awakens hope for something very special. Unfortunately, totally standard. Tasteless cream-butter-tomato sauces, with no hint of spicyness in the sense of seasoned variety. Totally Germanized Indian. Far too expensive for that. Anyone who has ever been to India knows what I'm talking about. Service was good.

We have been coming here for years and are always very satisfied. We and our children like it very much and the service is also friendly and accommodating.

Not entirely convinced. The ambience was actually nice, but unfortunately I didn't really feel welcome by the service staff. Other guests received friendlier service, which I noticed negatively. Very cozy and the food is just great

Classic Indian restaurant. Stylish, not overloaded and cozy. The service was very friendly and attentive. The food was very tasty and varied. First there was crispy bread with three dips. The starter soup (Mulagatany) was nice and spicy, rich and very tasty. The mixed starter platter - breaded vegetables (potatoes, oergine, zucchini, paneer, onions...) - was very varied, plentiful and typically delicious. For the main course there was Duck Vindaloo and Moti Mahal-Thali (2 meat and one vegetable dish). Everything was also very good. The sauce for the duck was nice, but not overly spicy. There was also bread on the house. Overall really great.

Very bad style! Some time ago I did a detailed review of the food and service in this restaurant here. Everything was exactly (!) the truth and I could take the trouble to do it all again. I renounce it. Let everyone form their own opinion on this! Instead, I would like to point out that the owner has bad but truthful reviews deleted. This is extremely bad form and shows that there is no effort here to honestly look after the customers. It is better to hire a lawyer and have unpopular reviews quietly removed. That speaks neither for the quality of the food nor for the seriousness of the well-paying customers. The entirety of the reviews should therefore be “enjoyed” with the greatest caution.

Phenomenal food. Service unkind as soon as you dont give "trinkgeld" (in germany you dont have to), even though you go there for the second time in a short period of time AND the food and drinks cost a lot. The other time it was crowdy and thats great for the biz but theres always the indian music being played too loud.

Food poisoning!!! We have eaten at this restaurant several times and I have always eaten the same thing, namely lamb boti masala. It always tasted very good. After Christmas we visited the restaurant again, only with a very unpleasant outcome. I got food poisoning. The food had already left a bad visual impression that evening. The consistency was different this time and there was also visible fat floating on the surface. The taste was also different than on my other visits. I don't want to describe in detail what I experienced that night and in the days that followed. Because of this, I will certainly not set foot in this restaurant again and can only advise against it!

The service is really bad. The waiter was bit rude and he was bit ignoring our table and because of this behavior we didn't even complete our meal and had to leave with just the drinks and a snack and the food was ok. Apart from ambiance it was just fine.

Me and my friends visited this place two days back. I felt the food was below average. And staff deliberately ignored our table and rude behaviour. We waited near about 45-50 min just to place an order.. where other people were well attended. And when we asked about this behaviour the waiter replied in rude language. We just settled ourselves over starters as they took lots of time to just deep fry the already fried pakoda. And where I felt bad when they don't have the realisation of their behaviour. They just have an Indian name over board but not in the food or in the behavior. Hope this will help you to choose your better Indian hotel.

I highly do not recommend this restaurant as the service is very unfriendly. When I entered there was no greeting or smile. After waiting 15 minutes I still didn't get the menu. When checking out I was told that I couldn't pay with a credit card, only cash.

Food and service used to be better. This time Vindalo sauce was very thin, without ginger or coriander, somehow bland. Papadam from the house has probably been discontinued now, but the prices on the menu have increased significantly. We're not coming anymore.

Caution: Owner deletes critical reviews I feel obligated to warn other potential customers. My previous honest review was deleted by the owner even though it was completely true. The service was poor and the food disappointing. When I described this in a factual review, it was quickly removed. Apparently people want to suppress criticism here instead of seeing it as an opportunity for improvement. I find this behavior highly questionable and not customer-oriented. It makes me question the integrity of the operation. Potential guests should be aware that the reviews displayed may not provide a complete picture. I advise everyone to take the reviews here with caution. Unfortunately my experience was negative and I will not be returning.

This place has completely gone downhill. The waiter was rude from the start. We asked for a mango lassi with a straw, which is standard, but he gave us a ridiculous excuse about straws being "banned in Germany." When we asked for a paper straw, he claimed it would "leave color" in the drink. It was absurd. Then he refused to serve the complimentary papad and chutneys that they used to offer, saying we’d have to pay extra for them now. All the while, he made faces whenever we asked a question. To top it off, he was offering free shots and chai to other tables but didn’t bother with us. This place isn’t even an Indian restaurant—it’s Bangladeshi, masquerading as Indian and failing miserably. True Indian hospitality is about welcoming guests, and these people are giving it a bad name. After this experience, I’m done with this place and would never recommend it to anyone, especially not to other Indians looking for authentic Indian hospitality.

For dinner for two. We were able to park nearby. Friendly welcome in the restaurant. Dim lights with candles on the table. Only cash payment was possible. We chose a soup and a salad as starters. The main course was 38 and 44. Price performance good. We enjoyed it. It's plenty.

We ordered and picked up 6 portions of different lunch menus this afternoon. At first we thought it was a bad joke, but all of the dishes were without salt and the much-praised spices. I myself had M3, the fresh vegetables in coconut cream sauce, which unfortunately, apart from the lack of seasoning, also had the consistency of a mass thickened with a sauce thickener. No trace of coconut. What's that supposed to mean? Maybe the boss could comment on this. We know and love original Indian cuisine, but this restaurant has absolutely nothing to do with it. Over €50 was thrown out the window and the hassle on top of that. Professional honor seems to be a rarity these days.

Please do not eat in this restaurant. I have been eating Indian food a long time. It’s my favourite food but this restaurant shouldn’t be open to staff is coughing and sneezing. I asked him was he okay and he told me he had the flu when you have the flu, you shouldn’t be working on the restaurant, you should be at home. Flu is very easy spread to the customers if not to Coronavirus and the food was horrible.

Called in for take away and take out. Everything tastes great! The butter naan was mouth watering. After reading other reviews I decided to try tondoori chicken masala and it was a good choice. For dessert I got Gulab jamun Using English only wasn't an issue

The moti mahal is an Indian restaurant with delicious food and friendly staff. There is seating inside the restaurant and outside seating in front of the restaurant. Directly next to the outdoor seating is access to the subway, which allows for a quick journey, but also leads to noise and slightly unpleasant smells. The food came to the table quickly after ordering, but the restaurant was still empty. The food tasted good and was nicely prepared. Both the starters and the main course were good. Staff was nice.

This restaurant with an outdoor terrace is located directly at the entrance to the subway station. Very friendly, quick service. Large selection of vegetarian dishes. Good value for money.

I've never had a bad meal here. The food is of a high standard. It could only be sharper. 😉 Sometimes there are problems with communication, for example you get a large drink instead of a small one. The restaurant is a clear recommendation!

Best Indian restaurant in Germany. Highly recommended. The owner is such a gentle man. Food is very very tasty and fresh.

I'm not a fan of Indian food in general, however this is by far the best Indian food I've ever tasted. I would eat here a couple times a month if it were closer by. The garlic naan is fantastic as are all the other dishes I tasted that day. Definitely worth eating at.

We ordered food to pick up, the order took longer than stated. The dips smelled like nail polish remover and were inedible, the food was barely seasoned and the vegetables in it were barely cooked. We were very disappointed with the food.

It used to be better quality. Last visit was the food (Chicken Tikka) well, delivery service level.

Extremely bad butter chicken. Absolutely tasteless and the rice was dry and without any flavor. The worst butter chicken I've ever eaten. The nan bread wasn't baked all the way through. It's a shame, the quality used to be good. Probably a new, inexperienced chef.
