We ordered Peking duck for four people. The food was incredibly delicious, the meat incredibly tender, and the skin beautifully crispy—absolutely outstanding. The super-friendly waiter, who also spoke perfect German, was also very experienced. You can tell the passion they put into their work here. Highly recommended!

As soon as we entered the restaurant, we were warmly welcomed by a very nice lady – a truly friendly and pleasant start. The service was attentive, and the food arrived quickly. The jasmine tea was particularly nice, served with great aromatics and a perfect match. We were thrilled with everything from the culinary side: The duck was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside – truly delicious! The Lenten dish with tofu was also a highlight, wonderfully seasoned and a true taste experience. The ambiance is cozy, clean, and inviting, making you feel at home immediately. The value for money is also absolutely fair. In conclusion: A great restaurant with friendly service, delicious food, and a relaxed atmosphere. We would love to come back!

Our favorite Chinese restaurant for almost 10 years! Super delicious food, a typical Chinese atmosphere, great value, and very friendly staff. The portions are so large (at least for us) that we can still have some the next day. Even three years later, we still enjoy eating here. We enjoy going there or picking up something to eat. They're very knowledgeable about gluten-free options, which is especially helpful for me. The staff is always friendly and make sure nothing goes wrong with the order.

I ordered the "Sunrise with Seafood" dish. Unfortunately, it was a disaster. The vegetables were almost raw—except for the broccoli—and overcooked. You had to hunt for crab, and there were no squid like shoe soles or scallops at all. Instead, there were a few "delicious" surimi skewers (crab-shaped meat) that weren't even mentioned on the menu. And all that for €24. This was accompanied by a soybean sprout salad with sesame and roasted peanuts. Neither was available. Bean sprouts from a jar were €7. Never again!

We've always loved eating there. But last time, we were almost thrown out because only one person asked for a second Coke. That's very disappointing, as we always eat a lot there. What really bothers me is that there are no tablecloths anymore since COVID-19. The bare tables have a cafeteria feel to them! If you want something fancy, this isn't the best!

Better than the big Chinese with all you can eat

Super unpalatable Tomato and egg soup is like washing pot water with no Chinese flavor at all. The attitude is also very bad. If you don’t make a reservation, you will be left out and ignored.

I've been here for a long time and always thought the food was great and I also think the shop looks great. What I find unpleasant is that an employee laughs at the food choices you make, specifically if you choose something without vegetables.

The parking situation is relaxed, and the restaurant itself is lovingly decorated in traditional Chinese style. The staff is friendly and attentive. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, both meat and vegetarian. I chose chicken with broccoli, it was very tasty and a large portion. The drinks were also served quickly. All in all, very good value for money.

We have been going to this restaurant for over 15 years. Unfortunately, things are getting progressively worse. You're just processed quickly. I actually want to spend a nice evening and not half an hour. The facility also needs to be reworked. The quality of the service could be improved somewhat. Food was good but the price has now reached the end of the line.

The food was so bad that it made me cry. Seriously, i have no time to go on a restaurant (because mom) and so I asked my husband to order to go. What I got was this bad cooked rice without salt, vegetables or enough sauce or something that would give some taste to it with this bad cooked chicken. Having to pay for this is really a scam. Save yourself the dissappointment

The restaurant is a bit older, which can be seen in the scratched dishes and the warming devices. But it is still very busy and the staff is also very attentive, friendly and quick. Even though it was busy, our food came within 10 minutes (starter) and the main course another 10 minutes later. I am thrilled with the service. The food is quite good, although the peanut sauce doesn't really taste like peanuts, which I think is a bit of a shame. Otherwise it is very good there. I particularly found the large spring roll really tasty and not greasy at all. You can park in the parking lot directly in front of the building. However, there is a lot going on here when the shops are open. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed in the restaurant, which is why we rarely eat here. The toilets were clean. I hope my review was helpful.

I had the duck with an additional peanut sauce/dip, but you don't necessarily need that. The sauces are already ready in the bowl and are therefore very thick with a rubbery consistency. The food comes very quickly. Except for the additional sauce, everything was delicious.

No longer what it once was. Ordered food to be picked up - as always, there wasn't enough sauce for 2 people, the taste was bland and the dough for the pineapple wasn't cooked through. The price is too high, almost 40 euros, and that's outside the home...never again

Unfortunately, that was a very bad experience. The staff were unfriendly and you felt unwelcome. Although the opening times were stated online until 11 p.m., we were literally checked in at 8:30 p.m. The service seemed stressed and rude. The food was also disappointing - far below what I would expect from a Chinese restaurant. There are many better options in the area and I definitely won't come here again. Absolutely not recommended.

We had to place our drink order before we were actually seated. Food was served quickly and tasted okay, but nothing more. I remembered it better. The lady kept coming and wanted to ask for another drink order. We only ordered another round when the glasses were actually empty. Even though we weren't asked to pay, we were told to pay. We probably enjoyed our drinks too slowly after eating. Sorry, that doesn't work. So you don't feel particularly comfortable as a guest.

My favorite Chinese place in the area!!!! Wonderful staff, great food no matter what you taste, super fast service and getting food fast as well. We have been here a lot over the years for birthdays and just for normal eating, We do a lot of to go as well. We have never had a problem with this restaurant and I’m always so grateful to have them in the area.

Impossible service. We were there around 9:30 p.m. and were served by an older lady who was sitting next to us at the table opposite and was eating. You could already tell that she felt disturbed by us. We had different dishes that had the same sauce and didn't blow our minds. The lady wasn't exactly friendly either.

We've been going to this beautiful restaurant for more than 10 years, but what we got today wasn't what we're used to. Today we ordered a light lunch menu to pick up. Chicken with various vegetables and garlic sauce. The vegetables were absolutely tasteless, the chicken was completely dry. The garlic sauce was delicious as always. I hope that it was an exception.

Despite being close for 2 minutes and being picked up immediately, the lunch menu of duck with mild sauce was tasteless and unseasoned, and the spring rolls were no longer crispy and soggy. During the phone call, it was explained to me that this was normal, that if you got fries somewhere, it was the same, what kind of justification, is that okay? A little tip: if you can't manage to pick it up as a local, you should just leave it alone.

True range of price is 20-30 Euro and springroll was served without sauce that i payed extra +2 Euro.Too expensive for this type of Restaurant end service. There are more other Chinese restaurant with better food and lower price

Incredibly delicious food. Also really suitable for vegans, the approx. 7 vegetarian options can all be made super tasty and vegan. Bomb shop. I go there often.

We stayed here with our son as it was his birthday. The staff were so attentive. When they found out it was our little one's birthday, he got a musical performance and a free ice cream with a sparkler. This all came purely from the staff. This is by no means a given these days and is a testament to the very nice nature of this house. There was absolutely nothing to complain about about the food. The ambience is very pleasant, at least for my taste. Thank you for this lovely evening.

Ok, the food has gotten better again a few months ago it was garnished. But now you can say that it is a standard Chinese.

Was here for lunch with my grandma today. My grandma gave a tip of €2 for a bill of €54, so it ended up being €56. Apparently that wasn't enough for the gentleman, so he couldn't say a thank you or even a goodbye, but simply left without saying a word. For your information: Tipping is voluntary and even if you don't get one you should have the decency to say thank you and say goodbye, but here the gentleman got a tip of €2, but apparently it wasn't the amount he expected. With the hefty prices you can be happy that you got something at all, even 1 cent would be too much. This behavior is a total impudence. This store will definitely never see us again.

Was there for the first time.... Food was great, and lots of it, service was quick and polite, ambience was nice, but inside it was too warm for me personally, so I ate outside.

The food was a complete failure! The fried noodles with chicken, egg and vegetables were extremely soaked in soy sauce, which meant that after a while they were no longer edible because they became very salty. The vegetables only consisted of bean sprouts and you had to look for the egg. The chicken wasn't fresh. The duck with bean sprouts and pineapple lacked the seasoning and bean sprouts. These were fried a little without any seasoning. The plates were an acceptable size, but the price-performance ratio was absolutely not right! The service was a complete disaster! The first order worked perfectly and after that the waitress was never seen again. The glasses and cutlery were simply left at the neighboring tables, even 1 hour after leaving the restaurant. All this despite the fact that the restaurant was almost unattended! We waited in vain for our takeaway food for over 40 minutes. When we wanted to pay, the funeral disappeared again and came back about 10 minutes later with our food. Would I come back again? No! Unfortunately, I can't recommend this restaurant.

You have reduced the meat content in the dishes! The taste is good but now you have to look for the meat! If it stays like that, you'll have to look for another place! I've noticed it the last few times, but this time it's clear! The portions have also become smaller, it looks like

Very disappointing. Table without decoration, not inviting, bare cheap table top. The whole furnishings are no longer up to date. Old-fashioned, very worn. Carpet floor - doesn't work at all. The food was an absolute failure. The supposed coconut sauce only tasted strongly spiced, binding agent, no trace of coconut. Thawed chicken, bland taste, disgusting. Too many dishes on the menu may not be freshly prepared. Wine spritzer is more water than wine. Serving the mass meals on a rickety metal trolley gave the impression of a canteen. Staff discuss loudly with each other. Poor ventilation. Absolutely not recommended. Never again! I wouldn't give a star.

There is very good food, lots of dishes and drinks, the service is very nice and also speaks German very well. The chairs are very comfortable and the decor is pretty nice. There is also a nice beer garden.

It was one of my favorites for years, but today I was really disappointed. I ordered food to pick up, since the prices for pick up don't differ from the prices if you eat on site, I expect the same quality. (Of course the food is still being transported, that's not the point!) Among other things, I ordered baked fish fillet. Why would you order a "crispy" baked fish if it's in the bowl with the vegetables and in the sweet and sour sauce?! ->Then the batter turns into a slimy, mushy mass, absolutely not appetizing! The quantity is also debatable, I guess if I had picked out the fish and weighed it I would have gotten ~150g. came... It's not a street snack bar, but a real restaurant with appropriate prices, where you can put the fish or baked chicken, duck, etc. in a separate bowl... (The tip was free ;-)

45 minutes waiting time on Pentecost Sunday. Despite the request, the patio door was not closed because of drafts and pollen. The rice we ordered didn't come and the food was cold

Food quite ok. Exactly the same as every other Chinese person. Not all of the food was hot, some was only lukewarm when served. On Sunday lunchtime we waited almost 1 3/4 hours for food. During our 3 hour stay we weren't asked for drinks twice. The service and the boss were obviously very overwhelmed. A pity. There were nine of us and I don't know if any of us will go here again...

I had ordered the number 184, as a change I wanted with beef, an additional charge of 2 euros was still okay. However, I was very annoyed that they forgot the cashew nuts and there was only broccoli, champions and bamboo sprouts in the dish... for me that's not 8 different types of vegetables as stated on the menu. I just didn't say anything because it was a birthday invitation and I didn't want to ruin the mood.

Solid Asian cuisine at fair prices. The service is quick and attentive. Even when the restaurant is full, you can ensure that everyone at the table receives their food at the same time (as far as possible). The portions are generous, the food is fresh and well seasoned. The dishes are certainly adapted to German tastes to the usual extent, and the furnishings are not perfect down to the last detail. But if you're looking for a chichi lifestyle restaurant, you've come to the wrong place anyway. However, for good, tasty food, China-Star is fully recommended.

We were regular customers at this restaurant, but that will change from now on. The prices have risen outrageously and the portions have also become smaller. A mini plate of sweet and sour soup now costs a whopping €4.80 or even €5.50 for chicken soup!!! A glass of table water now costs €4.60 - normal???! Really bold and rude...
