I went to the evening buffet at the Phoenix with my neighbor, and we enjoyed it very much 👍 We really liked the selection of food and drinks. The temperature was fine, and the food tasted very good. Jack Kerouac's comment is insulting and inappropriate. Perhaps he should take a good look at himself and not attack others so readily just because he doesn't like something. I find him primitive.

Great opportunity to eat Asian food, large selection at the buffet. The ambiance is more like a large restaurant, with little Asian flair. Price-performance ratio is okay.

All drinks are included at the buffet, including great juices. The price-performance ratio for the lunch buffet is perfectly fine.

The selection is very good. Depending on the time of day, for example, at the buffet, the price is a bit higher because there's more on offer, including live meat grilling, etc. I think it's very nice there, and the prices are reasonable! The staff is always friendly. The 3G shelf is in effect according to the notice board, and you'll have one pair of gloves at your seat, which you'll need to use when handling the tongs for hygiene reasons. Of course, you'll have to wear a mask while walking around and refilling the food :) (Before the rules were updated ;))

Considering the caliber of people dining there, the price for the buffet might seem reasonable, but for us ordinary eaters, it's not. The presentation of the food, the sometimes disappointing quality of the preparation, the somewhat shabby decor, the careless clearing of tables, the lack of refilled disinfectant, the missing cutlery – it's not our style of fine dining.

I have to be honest. I haven't eaten this badly in a long time, and for €32 all-you-can-eat, I expected something different. I spat out the sushi straight away and it felt like it was from two days ago. It was that disgusting. I've never spit out food before, but I found it extremely difficult to eat something like that. You should go to Kielgaarden on Werftstrasse instead. They have a great all-you-can-eat buffet there, and yes, people, I definitely can't recommend this place. They are definitely not doing you or your families any favors. They do have a play area for children, but that shouldn't be the criterion when going out to eat. It's also about your health, and the staff was quite rude and not very respectful. If you had a question, like, well, we leave money there, right? If you have a question, then you should answer it politely and decently. Well, it's definitely not even worth one star, but it's still worth giving out good stars. The food really wasn't good.

Hi, I was there an hour ago. The orange juice was delicious. However, the employee stole my napkin, which I was trying to wipe my mouth with. We often eat at Phönix, and usually there's always enough time to make the most of the buffet price. Yesterday, however, we arrived very late, so we only had an hour to eat. Unfortunately, the buffet was already very empty, and some of the food was stale and dry. Nevertheless, we were charged full price. Wouldn't it be a nice idea to halve the price during the last hour of opening (happy hour), where you can only eat leftovers? True to the motto: what's gone doesn't get replenished. That would also be in the interest of animal welfare and reduce food waste. Charging full price for a sketchy and overstocked buffet and for only one hour of dining is outrageous. The staff kindly prepared fresh chicken breast upon request. That's why it still gets 3 stars :-)

It was our first time at phoenix and I have to say that I really regret it...we usually always go to Petit Panda buffehaus Essen and are therefore used to better things. When I got a stomach ache after not even eating a plate and had to go to the toilet, I thought I was really going to be hit! There was only one toilet for big business in this huge shed... I had to wait almost 10 minutes with my knees pinched together until the gentleman who was in the toilet before me finally finished his business... When I went to the toilet the nightmare continued....you sit on a dirty toilet and look at the moldy tiles and a completely smeared door..!!! You really thought you were sitting in a train station toilet!!! When I mentioned the problem to the employee, one of the three employees turned away with a cheeky grin... It's not possible... And for shit like that we left €100 for 4 people (2 children, 2 adults). The food was ok but definitely not super tasty.... We will definitely never enter this store again! We went there with our children for the first time yesterday for the lunch buffet. There is a children's play area and tables right outside. We also thought it was great that you can drink as much as you want! The food was varied, very tasty and fresh. There was something for everyone, even our one child who is not a fan of Asian food. I have never experienced such a relaxed visit to a restaurant with our children! I was so full, I didn't need dinner anymore 🤣🙈 Definitely our new regular restaurant.

Ate there yesterday on Christmas Day. There was the “big” buffet. We sat with 12 people at the end of a large hall and can't complain about the ambience. The food was very good. Nothing was ever missing either. Sanitary facilities were clean that day.
