China-Restaurant PAVILLION in Nordhausen

Friendliness, courtesy, lots of food, customer loyalty... These are words that had no meaning at all at our dinner... We wanted to eat in this restaurant on Monday evening around 7 p.m. We were warmly welcomed at the beginning and were then allowed to choose a place ourselves... When ordering, we chose the buffet and then went to it very hungry Buffet bowls, which unfortunately weren't exactly full... In contrast... Some bowls were empty, there were no more spring rolls, no sushi, etc... When I asked the waitress, she seemed to feel directly attacked and said that since Tuesdays were a day of rest, the bowls would no longer be refilled... Theoretically, I can understand that it's nice if no food is thrown away... In practice, I pay for food, which hardly anyone wants to eat, i.e. the leftovers from the day or maybe even from the lecture...?! 🤔 Because if bowls are no longer filled on Mondays because Tuesdays are a day of rest, you can now make assumptions based on this statement... I don't know whether this is a normal procedure for a restaurant with a buffet... However, I don't see it as " "normal"... When I go out to eat, I assume that the food is freshly prepared and not the food from the previous day... Well... Then I was given the option that you could at least order the spring rolls... But the cutlery was then immediately cleared away, so you felt very welcome... After the discussion with the waitress about the empty bowls and that After clearing away the cutlery, we wanted to leave and asked for the bill... We looked at each other with big eyes because the normal full buffet price had been charged for both of us... So we have the almost empty buffet from the day before Having to pay full price... Respect for this service... Customer loyalty and service orientation are therefore apparently not very important here... It's a shame and we definitely won't eat there again...

Super great buffet, plenty of choice, great taste. It is always topped up and replenished. The restaurant was full to capacity and despite everything, we were served quickly. The whole team is nice and friendly. We'd love to come back!!!

It's such a fashion that even established Chinese restaurants love to offer buffets, ideally at lunch and dinner, although of course they're a little more expensive in the evenings. In this restaurant you immediately assume that the guest is there for the buffet anyway; you only get the normal menu upon request. The price of the buffet is strangely not excellent anywhere. At around 6 p.m. this Monday the store is packed, probably due to the lack of alternatives in the city. The buffet, which is already quite clear, is completely overloaded during this rush, many dishes are sold out and you can't keep up with refills. The quality of the food is halfway okay. However, compared to freshly prepared individual portions, they are more of a canteen quality. Not really hot, prepared to suit the majority taste, in thermal containers, inexpensive for the restaurant, there's hardly anything left over. Of course you get full. But the food is very random. Most restaurants also offer a larger selection at their buffets. At around 8 p.m. the shop is suddenly empty and no one comes anymore. Although the buffet should be offered until at least 9 p.m. Maybe now it would at least be more replenished and relaxed. But gastronomy in Nordhausen has its own peculiarities.

Small buffet (all you can eat) with little vegetarian selection. Everything was borderline salty, barely seasoned. Everything tastes the same. The service was unfriendly and loudly repeated every drink order. Today it was also mercilessly overcrowded, so the buffet was well served. Duck to get hold of? A thing of impossibility. You'll get full, but if you have the choice, I would go to another location down the street in the future. The vanilla sauce as a dessert basically only consists of water and cornstarch. Absolutely inedible! The black sesame ice cream is delicious

My husband and I tried the restaurant for the first time this afternoon. We first had to wait at the front until we were assigned a table for two people. But the food came quite quickly. According to our taste, it could have been a little spicier and hotter. Otherwise nothing special. Since we came here from the big city, we are used to a different quality of Chinese food. But it's not bad either. The staff could be a bit friendlier. The facility is nice, clean and well maintained. Unfortunately, the room on the sides heats up when the sun shines in summer, as the building is a glass house and there is no sun protection and no air conditioning.

You can order from a menu or choose from the extensive buffet, which leaves nothing to be desired. Even if something runs out, it will be refilled immediately. The staff is very friendly.

Nicely decorated restaurant. The waitresses are quite friendly. However, in terms of taste, it is not recommended at all. The dishes taste almost all the same and are very over-seasoned. It really isn't recommended. As a fan of Chinese cuisine, my personal highlight was the canned fruit and the jelly.

We were there on Saturday evening with 15 people. The table had already been ordered in advance and was specially decorated by us beforehand. When we entered the restaurant we weren't even greeted. We waited a good 20 minutes for our first drink order. The food was okay, nothing special, a lot of it every now and then, but it was always refilled. The only drawback was that some of the liver was still extremely bloody. Unfortunately, we were completely forgotten when we ordered further drinks. Since the buffet meal is an all-inclusive price, you could have earned good money with the drinks. We went to the counter to order drinks, but we were brushed off there too, saying they would come straight to the table... Everyone was thirsty and the mood was correspondingly bad. We then paid and continued celebrating at home, at least we didn't die of thirst there. The restaurant is always busy, so the service should be adequate. 0/5 stars would be appropriate here. We were very disappointed all around 😞.

If you want to go out for Chinese food and you live near NDH then you should go there because it is really great and it tastes great. You should definitely book a seat because it is always full.

Immer wieder gern.Wir fahren 40 min. um gut zu essen.

Wir waren zu Weihnachten essen... es war sehr eng und sehr viel los. Das Essen hat gut geschmeckt die Auswahl ok... es gab auch Sushi, wobei die Varianz die man beim Sushi erwartet nicht dem entsprochen hatte. Ansonsten konnte man mit etwas Geduld ganz gut an dem Buffet entsprechendes Essen aussuchen. Schade fand ich die Organisation um das Buffet. Die Leute hatte wenig Platz und haben sich von mehreren Seiten angestellt... Im Großen und Ganzen aber alles gut, bei der Masse an Gästen.

Das Buffet ist ein Traum. Nette Bedienung.

Essen war sehr frisch und lecker! Wir haben ohne Reservierung sofort einen Platz erhalten und waren sehr zufrieden. Besonders das Büffet ist hier sehr zu empfehlen. Obwohl das Restaurant sehr gut besucht war, war es nicht zu laut und man konnte in Ruhe essen. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Eine super Atmosphäre, sehr freundliche Bedienung und das Essen und Trinken war hervorragend, gerne wieder

Als wir das Pavillon betreten haben hat es lange gedauert bis uns unser Tisch gezeigt wurde, eine Speisekarte bekamen wir nicht, erst später als wir nach einer fragten. Das Essen am Buffet war sehr lecker und reichlich und wurde auch regelmäßig wieder aufgefüllt. Der Wackelpudding war nach kurzer Zeit flüssig geworden, was nicht so schön war. Es hat lange gedauert bis wir bedient wurden und die Bedingung war nicht sehr freundlich, haben die Teller abgeräumt obwohl wir noch nicht fertig waren mit essen. Als wir dann bezahlen wollten waren sie nicht erfreut das wir schon gehen wollten.
