MUST READ!!!! This store is absolutely not recommended. The food was incredibly oversalted and totally greasy and everything tasted the same. You could have anything fried, but everything was fried on a plate without hygiene, whether pork or beef. That was really unsavory! Sushi and desserts were lying around as if they were from yesterday. So "the eye eats with you" is definitely not a given at this shop. There was no choice of sushi and what was there didn't look like it was cooled enough. We, who can't actually walk past any sushi, gave up on it completely. It's a shame actually. The kitchen door was open so you could see into the kitchen and it looked really unappetizing. I can't recommend it to anyone with the best will in the world. Best regards

Were there today March 6th, 2025! SERVICE TOP, nice and friendly! Food was very tasty, even when something was almost empty, it was refilled immediately! The food was warm enough to eat and not too hot or too cold! Unfortunately, 1 star deducted for the ambience, because this time we were almost sitting at a table of 8, even though there were only 4 of us. It's not so nice to listen to the other guests talking.

I always like it there. Price-performance for “All you can eat” is reasonable. Most of the employees are always friendly. However, the employees at the Mongolian Grill are often not really motivated, seem a bit listless/annoyed at work and play mobile games or similar at the same time Unfortunately, the glutinous rice balls with black bean filling are no longer available. They were always very tasty.

Wonderful. Actually everything was full, all the tables were occupied and we hadn't made a reservation for a Friday evening. But the really nice waitress found a table. We chose the buffet meal and it was delicious!! I would love to come back again.

Lecker, große Auswahl, für ein Familien-Dinner sehr zu empfehlen. Man schlemmt sich durchs Buffet...es gibt so viele, unterschiedliche Gerichte, dass man nicht alle probieren kann. Es ist eine schöne Alternative zu anderen Restaurants in der Umgebung. Das Personal ist sehr bemüht und freundlich. Preis-Leistung ist völlig okay!!!

I went to an all you can eat buffet and the food was delicious. The waiters were friendly, but probably due to a lack of staff, no one comes by to ask if you want something more to drink or if everything is OK. Nevertheless, everything was great and I will definitely come back.

We were there and we really have to say, that this Chinese restaurant is the VERY BEST!!! 1. With a cozy, very beautiful and elegant Mongolian/Asian style you will be put in a very pleasant mood. 2. The very friendly, fast and helpful staff with a positive and atmospheric WAY also puts the guests in a positive and very GOOD mood. 3. The BEST at the end is the very excellent, most precious and tasteful ASIAN FOOD we have ever enjoyed. Of the many Chinese restaurants we tested in Germany, the Chinese restaurant "MONGOLEI" in Norderstedt is the very best!!! With their very good food/staff/ambience/price it is outstanding! In addition, the grilled food with the large selection of sauces/spices is also the very best of all Chinese restaurants!!! I can only recommend everyone to eat there! This is a taste explosion in a class of its own! We give it more than 5 stars! E.L.

The food is buffet style with a large selection. It will be refilled quickly. Service varies greatly, the individual employee is the key to happiness. Some seating areas are too close together and there is a loud murmur of voices.

The food is super delicious. I work around the corner and regularly get something there because it tastes really great. All the employees are super nice and even small requests are implemented. I'd love to come by again. Kind regards from the steamer shop.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary there with 18 people and were completely thrilled! The restaurant is our favorite restaurant in Norderstedt, which is why we chose it for the celebrations. We were offered support during the preparation and everything was great during the actual meal - the waitresses were very attentive but not intrusive and really looked after us the whole time. We have also received consistently positive feedback from our guests regarding the food, the ambience and the employees. We had a great get-together and would love to come back :)

Food was good and a nice choice, wasn’t sure if I could get any of the food that needs warming up and don’t know where to take it either. The person in the what I thought was kitchen was just sat on the mobile. The man who served us was friendly. Very expensive though for what it is. 2 adults and 2 kids was €95 (including the 4 drinks) which for a buffet is very pricey. On the internet it says under 11 is 11€ something and adults 22€ so I’m a bit shocked at the price of drinks. Over €30 for the drinks?!

Friendly, attentive staff. It is very busy at lunchtime. The buffet is always the same, but it's more than enough for a small hunger. Checks and hygiene measures in the restaurant are mandatory.

We've eaten here a few times. But today was the last time. The price for the buffet has risen from €15 to €21.90 in recent years. Inflation, increased purchasing prices, etc. are definitely logical reasons. But unfortunately the quality of the food has declined. Everything tastes similar. Whether it's the Mongolian-style beef, the beef with broccoli, the Szechuan-style shrimp or the pork liver - everything is swimming in tons of onions and has the same consistency. The same with live cooking. All sauces are mixed with tons of garlic and give the already dry meat (the very thin slices of meat are extremely flattened by the cook when frying and thus lose the last remnants of meat juice) just a little more seasoning. In terms of taste, everything here is uniform. Unfortunately, the prices for the drinks are also totally excessive. For a small apple spritzer (0.3 liters) you pay €3.30. I've seen this much cheaper in other restaurants. But the service topped it all off today. We were two families with a total of four children. The children mostly stayed at the aquarium and watched the fish. We gave them rules (no running, screaming, or reaching into the water), but in the end they remain children who are not small adults or can make themselves invisible. I expect a restaurant that offers children's prices and various high chairs to welcome me as a family. None of the children stood in the way or disturbed other guests while they were eating. And yet the waiter asked us several times that the children should be quiet (the children are 4 and 5 and behaved as quietly as possible) and that they should keep their fingers out of the water (no one ever touched the water). It's a shame that childish behavior (e.g. shouting excitedly when something is discovered) doesn't seem to be tolerated here. The same waiter didn't even smile during our visit today and cleared away the used plates with an expression as if we were disturbing him during his vacation. Conclusion: Unfriendly staff, high drinks prices and a uniform taste. If you like that, you can have a good meal here. Everyone else should look elsewhere.

At buffets, many vegetable dishes have meat in them. There was only one dish to choose from with different vegetables. For live food I had to wait there. Sushi with wasabi soy sauce is always my favorite.

Because of my allergies, I have never been informed in such detail about the ingredients in the food. Thank you for that!!!! For the first time in a long time I was able to eat carefree and without fear.

Went there for a buffet meal yesterday early in the evening. All the food was terrible! The meat and batter are totally sticky and not crispy. The duck was super ready. The beef was overcooked and tasteless. The broccoli was mushy. The sauces were diluted with water and therefore not very intense. The custard was more milk than sauce and the sushi tasted like it came from an Aldi package. The greasy German who did the show cooking was a short ass with tattooed forearms. Seemed totally nonsensical. Only the salad dressing was delicious. Service was good. It's a shame about the money and the gas money. Conclusion: Never go to Mongolia again. Simply disgusting!

Went there with my wife this evening for the second time...after about 10 years. We remembered DAS SUPERGUT. Ambience and staff, just like back then, GREAT! Only the food...didn't work at all:( I tried a lot of things at the buffet today and NOTHING was like what we're used to at Chinese restaurants. I've never had such greasy duck on my plate. All the components that are included in the rating of a Chinese restaurant (spring rolls, fried noodles, etc.) NOPE! I drove more than 60 km for it... it wasn't worth the gas WE DO NOT GUARANTEE ANY MORE!

Based on the reviews we tried this restaurant. We were there for the buffet on Saturday evening. There were just 4 tables occupied. The staff was friendly. The food looked overcooked, tasted better than it looked. But far from tasty. There was sushi, fish and meat dishes, as well as fries etc. and desserts. Price €22.00 We won't be coming back

All you can eat is recommended here! At lunchtime, the price is unbeatable at around €12 and the food is warm and tasty, although very meat-heavy. In the evening you have the option of having things freshly fried, which is super tasty and quick, but costs ten euros more than lunch. Nonetheless, a good buffet!

Always consistently good quality of food. Very friendly staff. Some chairs could use new upholstery. But that's all. Dogs are very welcome. That's why it's still our favorite restaurant.

I was there for lunch with my daughter. The food itself was delicious, we ordered non-alcoholic cocktails and they only get one star from us because they tasted a lot like color, really artificial and overly sweet. The ribs were very tasty. The fridge with the ice cream didn't look particularly appetizing either, but that's my personal opinion. The staff was quick and friendly. Price ok. There are enough parking spaces on site, but the parking disc is a must.

It's certainly the classic - if you feel like Chinese - we go to the buffet at the Mongolian/Chinese restaurant. Everything you want is there. Food is warm, fresh and well prepared… I would have liked to order something to drink - no one was there so we just didn't drink any more 😅. No broken leg can be improved. The ambience is classic like almost all restaurants in this category. Great - we'd love to come back!

I was looking forward to the visit and the buffet but was very disappointed. All of the food from the buffet was lukewarm to cold and I don't mean salad or anything. The quality of the meat was terrible. We definitely won't come back.

I have eaten here several times, both in the evening and for lunch. I always liked the food. I've been back for a while now and was quite disappointed. The quality of meat, whether chicken, pork, kangaroo, etc., was poor. Either totally gristly/tough or somehow “slippery”. Back then the shrimp were still fried in garlic and were really tasty. This time they tasted very bland. The food was generally lukewarm at most. The staff was friendly and attentive.

In February 2024 I visited a restaurant in Norderstedt. A wide selection of Asian food was offered here. I was lured with an "all you can eat..." package deal. And since eating in any form is my declared hobby, I couldn't resist. All the staff tried hard to make a lasting impression on me. As soon as I entered the restaurant, I was shown my seat and immediately took my drink request. Just a few moments later, the desugared Cola was delivered. Now seemed like a good time to hit the buffet. Thought, done! I grabbed a plate and strolled past the many bowls. Everything was neatly labeled so that you always knew what you were putting on your plate. The only thing that was annoying were a few other guests who crawled through the corridors extremely slowly and almost in slow motion, stopping and blocking everything. My stomach growled as loudly as a jackhammer. After what felt like an eternity, I finally had the mountain of food I wanted on my plate and shuffled back to my seat. I've never been a big fan of Asian cuisine and so I mainly concentrated on familiar things like fries, wedges, spring rolls, a bit of pork fillet and various vegetables. But this was quite tasty. I didn't leave any residue on my plate and so I immediately grabbed a new mountain of food. This time I didn't take as much because I discovered a cake counter and ice cream on the way. I also used this several times. I think that I had masterfully fulfilled the day's motto "eat as much as you can..." and left the restaurant a little sluggish but happy.

My food wasn't that hot but looked fresh and tasty. The beef was also tender. I ordered without glutamate. But there was no salt. Tasted a bit bland. The buffet was great and everything was always there. The toilets were also clean. The restaurant was busy and there was enough parking space

I was there spontaneously earlier (in the afternoon) with my girlfriend. We got a table for two people and were served straight away. The buffet has a nice selection to suit every taste.

Last time they even had cheesecake for dessert. A variety of Ice Cream is normal but that cheesecake, I will say no more. You must experience yourself.

Pretty tasteless for Chinese food. I had "Sea Duck" [sic!]. King prawns were advertised. They were then normal size. For 2-3 euros less than the all-you-can-eat buffet, you get a generous but poor-tasting portion from the staff, who seem uninformed.

Food smelled musty and tasted very bland. Some very strange things seen at the buffet. - People who ordered from the menu had a plate prepared from the buffet, etc. I expect a freshly prepared dish. Service was very friendly and quick. There is an extra point for this.

I was there once on Sunday. The atmosphere is like a large harbor pub. Food is fine and nothing was refilled. The cook's food was so turbo fried and torn that you can chew the lamb meat for 2 weeks. 20 year old chewing gum is better. Sauces felt like 3kg of skin on top of it, sweet and sour sauce, it looked like coal. All in all, not worth 21 euros for a harbor bar with a snack, sorry. You can look for toilets and have to walk past a bar that is full. Staff prefer to sit on their cell phones or eat themselves next to the guests or in the kitchen on buckets where food is prepared. Your sprite sits on the counter for what feels like an hour because your cell phone is more important. Toilets look like a slab of basement. And it seems like all employees go for a smoke every 5 minutes. I'm out and I'm not coming back. All the MA you could see, so people make clothes here, it's typical high-rise, even inside the curry stand they have better clothes on. Also no sweatpants or worn-out old clothes

We were there last night with four people and had 3 buffets and 1 menu from the menu. First of all, the food from the menu was authentic and tasty. The service was very nice. At the buffet, I unfortunately have to say that there were difficulties with refilling, and there were situations where guests stood and had to wait for refills. I could see this because we had a table right next to the buffet. I was conflicted about the taste: the baked duck and the baked chicken were very tasty, no question about it, but the beef was wobbly and the fish was completely overcooked. Unfortunately, vegetables are both different and different too. Unfortunately, all the dishes our group tried weren't really hot, which is perhaps difficult at the buffet. What absolutely horrified me, however, were the filthy toilets - they were disgusting. The water for the ice scrapers probably hasn't been changed for a long time, so the germs had free rein here too. Unfortunately, the inside of the chest didn't really look any better, but no one seemed to care. If it looks like this in the front, what will it look like in the kitchen? For my part, I certainly don't want to go there again.

We were there yesterday and I have to honestly say that we were really positively surprised. The ambience was visually appealing and the service was super friendly. In terms of time, it wasn't exactly on time, but rather shortly before the end of the workday, but we were still warmly welcomed and were able to have a relaxed evening without feeling guilty!! The menu has something for everyone and the food overall tasted pretty fresh. The taste is also at a good level. Wie so oft bei Buffets, man isst viel zu viel, es gibt eine große Auswahl an Speisen mit edlen Bestandteilen. Einiges könnte besser abgeschmeckt sein, aber trotzdem gut.

Das Mongolische Barbeque-/Grillbuffet ist ein Highlight mit einer vielfältigen Auswahl an frischen Zutaten, von klassischem Fleisch bis zu exotischen Sorten wie Känguru oder Sushi. Die Live-Zubereitung und die hausgemachten Saucen verleihen den Gerichten eine besondere Note. Auch das Warmbüffet mit über 30 wechselnden Spezialitäten und das Eisbuffet sind stets köstlich. Meine Frau und ich haben in der Mongolei eine sehr leckeren Mittagstisch genießen dürfen, vielen Dank dafür.

Leider nicht zu empfehlen. Das Essen war überhaupt nicht frisch, es sah so aus dass das Essen wurde mehrmals aufgewärmt. Die Kuchen war sehr alt und har überhaupt nicht geschmeckt. Die Kollegen waren unhöflich und haben ständig gestört. Nie wieder da..

Das Essen war relativ typisches Buffetessen. Nix besonderes aber auch nicht schlecht, bis auf ein paar Ausnahmen im negativen Sinn. Vanillesoße für das Dessert war so sehr gestreckt, dass man die Vanille nicht mehr schmeckte. Honig war so extrem verdünnt, dass er nur noch süßes Wasser war. Ansonsten gings aber.

Als wir das letzte Mal dort waren, waren die Nudeln leider kühl. Ist nicht weiter schlimm gewesen, es hat trotzdem geschmeckt und die Auswahl ist immer top!

Ein sehr schönes und gemütliches Restaurant, sehr freundliche und nette Mitarbeiter. Das Essen war auch sehr lecker, für jeden ist etwas dabei.

Der Service war sehr gut, das Essen leider weniger. Alles recht geschmacklos und Gemüse leider komplett verkocht. Das frische Rindfleisch beispielsweise wurde vom Koch nahezu tot gebraten und es wurde von ihm dauern auf die heiße Platte gepresst und aufgerissen damit es schnell gar ist. Dadurch war es unglaublich trocken und zäh...

Nur Essen für zu Hause abgeholt, perfekter Service

Top Service, gut abgeschmeckt man fühlt sich zurück katapultiert in den chinesischen Restaurants der 90er finde ich toll erinnert mich persönlich an meine Kindheit.

Wir waren hier heute mit unserem Sohn essen und sind nach dem Restaurantbesuch satt und glücklich wieder nach Hause gefahren. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Vielen lieben Dank für einen gelungenen Abend.

Jedzenie smakowo jest ok, aczkolwiek od restauracji chińskiej wymagal bym czegoś więcej, niż tylko ok. Ostatnio jedzenie było bardzo tłuste, nie wiem z czego to wynikało.

Essen war ansich super lecker mir persönlich waren die bratnudeln zu ölig und der normale reis war einfach geschmacklose pampe der käsekuchen war sehr wässrig die calamaris eine Katastrophe. Das fleisch zum fertig machen war lecker und die auswahl reichlich auch die wahl der soßen dazu waren sehr interessant. Allgemein war die auswahl riesig und sah sehr ansprechend aus.. Wenn mehr los ist wird es allerdings sehr hektisch und unübersichtlich wo dann das personal leider auch einfach oft im weg rumsteht (wenn nichts zu tun ist)
