Good restaurant. Large selection. Quality good.

Since I've been living in North Rhine-Westphalia, this has been one of the first restaurants I've visited from the very beginning and where I still enjoy eating out. Idyllically located in the Lion Park, you can combine a visit to the restaurant with a walk in the forest. Anyone who likes Asian cuisine will appreciate this restaurant.

The cauliflower wasn't cooked through and the broccoli was also hard, the meat was so hard you couldn't chew it. The fries didn't taste good either! This is unprecedented.

The only Chinese restaurant I know with a buffet where dogs are also welcome. Large selection, reasonable prices. I think everyone will find something here. In summer you can sit outside and play mini golf at the end. A nice walk through the forest rounds off a great day. Disabled-accessible entrance and also the aisle to the buffet. Adequate parking spaces

My mother is buried there in the forest. I stayed there longer. And no quick and I'm gone again😔🙏

Price/performance is ok, selection at the buffet too. But please change the Peking goulash soup, it has nothing to do with a soup. Viscosity like syrup.

Very tasty food, lots of choice and nice service

An "all you can eat restaurant, with a history of about 28 years and clearly reflected in the very outdated interior. Fortunately, we come here for the food, which is absolutely excellent. Large range of different types of Indian and other dishes, option to have your food stir-fried, large choice of desserts such as fruit tarts, yogurt and desserts and types of ice cream.

I've been a regular there for years, but now I've reached a point where I personally say that I won't put up with these prices anymore. €22 for the evening buffet, sorry, but I won't eat for €22 in my life, with 3 people and drinks you'll be up very quickly At 100€, the fun ends somewhere, let's see how long the lion park can last at these prices, for us at least the lion park is over

The food was delicious and we were all full. There was a large selection of starters, main courses and desserts.

All in all, a good buffet and a manageable number of food and drinks. However, the restaurant is already showing its age and has seen its best days behind it. A renovation is probably in order here. But otherwise everything is fine.

A really nice restaurant with a wide selection. In summer you can also sit wonderfully in the garden and enjoy your food and there is also fun right outside the door with the mini golf course.

Simply the best shop when it comes to buffet food. There is no constant fuss about drinks at the table, it is cleared quickly and the food is always hot, refilled and delicious.

Lion Park, yes, the Count of Westerholt was the first to bring lions to the Ruhr area and you used to be able to drive through the park by car (my dad had a yellow VW Beetle 1303 back then)😁. Today you can eat very tasty food there, not only the food on offer is TOP, but also the staff, i.e. the service. The ambience is good, it could be a little better, but everything is spotlessly clean, including the toilets. Coming back to the food: a great selection of various starters, main courses and desserts. It is always refilled immediately. The prices are OK, especially at the buffet it's worth it... and on Saturday from 12 p.m. it's a little cheaper. Gladly again 👌👍👌👍

I have to admit, I'm never very enthusiastic about all these Chinese buffet shops and I wouldn't go there on my own accord. But here we were invited to a birthday. Thanks to glutamate, the finished dishes are very similar to each other and it is usually annoying that children, for example, are rarely stopped and if they like to eat scampi, they rarely have any scruples about stocking up on it. This was also the case in the lion park. That's why I like to use the grill to cook for me individually. This works quite well with the competition, but not at all in the Lion Park. For example, if I had wanted shiitakes, I would have put them on my plate. Then I asked NOT to use coriander because I just don't like it, but the chef confused NOT with A LOT and twice. The waitress took my complaint in a funny way and just said: eat...eat...very healthy! I will also politely decline an invitation next time if I want to go here.

A delicious alternative to the big competitors. A bit rustic, but there is also plenty of seating outside. I will definitely come back!

We only went for mini golf because it was a very nice facility

Delicious food in a way too loud atmosphere. You hardly understand your own words. In addition, there is a stroppy waitress who loudly exposes her guests because they have put a "Reserved" sign on the ->same-sized free table next door<-. This can also be done in a friendlier way, if it has to be mentioned at all. By the way: The delicious looking tiramisu is just shaped mascarpone without any taste. It's a shame, I won't be going there anymore.

Great taste and not this uniformity. Xiao (all 100% glutamate free) and Löwenpark are our favorites.

Very large Chinese restaurant, I would say, typically Chinese, at least in terms of style. At least that's how I saw some restaurants in China. The food is of a good standard, which is also familiar from other restaurants. With all-you-can-eat you can also put together fresh items and have them fried. We like to go here every now and then.

Been there again after a long time. The buffet is extensive and offers something for every taste. The Mongolian buffet is prepared quickly and served hot, which is not the case everywhere. Staff is attentive.

We really enjoy going to this restaurant. The opportunity to put together the dishes yourself and have them freshly grilled is great. Very tasty food. We ate from the buffet and enjoyed the very large selection. The staff is very friendly. The price performance ratio is very good. For the price of €21.90 you can enjoy a starter (Peking soup or Loempia), choose the main course from a wide selection (crabs, squid rings, fried fish, duck, chicken, beef, pork), and also choose from a selection of side dishes (fried noodles , fried and boiled rice etc) and delicious sauces. For dessert you have a large selection of fruits, ice cream, pudding, etc. But that's not all. If you want, you can also have something grilled, for example fish or meat. I had a very tasty Peking soup, a plate of battered crab, squid rings, fried fish, boiled rice and sweet and sour sauce. It was all very tasty. For my second course at the buffet I had duck and chicken with fried noodles and a delicious sauce. Dessert consisted of pineapple, kiwi and melon with vanilla sauce, very tasty. We have been to the Löwenpark Restaurant several times and have never been disappointed. Anyone who complains here doesn't know what you pay for a starter, a main course and a dessert in another restaurant. And, do the math: here you can enjoy 2 starters, 2 main courses and 2 desserts, but in another restaurant you pay twice as much.

Hats off to the Lion Park Wu family and their top team! The oldest Chinese restaurant in Gelsenkirchen not only survived the massive attacks by Chinese buffet giants, but also stood up to them excellently! From the quality offered to the price to the personal service, everything is “very good” - Yes, there is always something! Which is the rather old-fashioned equipment here. I think that the younger team definitely won't let this slide! Especially since today a Chinese restaurant no longer has to look like one! I hope that the Wu family and team continue to offer their super dishes from lunch to dinner and their great buffet. Our recommendation 5 stars plus ♌

Unfortunately there is hardly any choice of vegan options. When we asked if we could get a portion of rice without eggs, we only received a quick no. It would be nice if there was more choice. Until then, there are other buffet restaurants with much more vegan choices in the area.

Food is definitely a matter of taste! Lunch buffet was cold. Not everything was refilled, it felt like the sauce was refilled after an eternity! On my part, poor and unfriendly service. It was there for me personally.

Update: I got something to take away again on Friday (February 23rd), this time the side rice was supposed to cost €2 extra. Feels somehow strange, but then without a side of rice. It was still tasty and filling. It tastes great and the portions are always more than generous, so there's often something left over for the following day. Dishes to be picked up are always ready very quickly.

This restaurant primarily makes money from its outrageous drink prices. For example, 1.5 liters of mineral water costs an incredible EUR 14. This is a surcharge of more than 5,000 percent compared to the price in the supermarket (0.27 EUR)!!!

Were there again after a long time and unfortunately disappointed. It was clear to us that the buffet had become more expensive at €6 per person, but the quality of the dishes and groceries was also better. Drinks hardly contained any carbon dioxide and twice I had a plate that wasn't completely clean in my hand. Someone should take the trouble to look at the forks for the guests, some of which are unsuitable for eating with.

Immer wieder eine Freude dort zu sein

Sehr schöne Essens Auswahl sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter, das Ambiente hat mit den Jahren schon sehr gelitten.

Nach vielen Jahren mal wieder da gewesen und es ist immer noch spitze, sogar noch besser als ich es im Erinnerung hatte. Für mich auch deutlich besser als das Xiao, dabei auch deutlich günstiger.

Gute Auswahl am Buffet und alles schmeckte frisch. Hier scheint man darauf zu achten das nichts zu lange liegt. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Für einen gemütlichen Abend mit Freunden würde ich mir vielleicht eine etwas gediegener Atmosphäre wünschen.

Das beste Restaurant in ganz Gelsenkirchen! 🌹 Die Speisen sind warm und wirklich ohne Glutamat(Unverträglichkeit). Eine tolle Auswahl an Speisen und das Ambiente wunderbar!🥰 Wir besuchen jedesmal das Restaurant voller Vorfreude!

Das Essen ist sehr lecker und die Bedingung sehr freundlich und gibt sich sehr viel Mühe, auch wenn es sehr voll ist. Sehr schönes Restaurant und Preisleistung ist super. Fürs Ambiente leider nur 3 Sterne, da die Toiletten leider alles andere als ansprechend sind.Sauberkeit bei den Toiletten leider nicht gegeben und es müsste dringend renoviert werden. Wir kommen aber gerne immer wieder.

Wir kommen seit Jahren zu Euch. Es war immer alles gut. Am 1 Weihnachtstag waren wir zu 5 bei Euch. 3 von uns haben sich leider ganz schlimm den Magen verdorben. Wir werden natürlich weiterhin kommen. Aber denke das ihr es wissen solltet das irgendwas am Essen definitiv nicht ok war!

Die Qualität vom essen ist wirklich gut , das Fleisch schön frisch und vom Geschmack her gut, was ich toll finde, sind die Zettel am Tisch. Wenn man die Teller zu voll zurückgehen lässt, dann erheben sie eine Gebühr von 5 € So wird doch nicht so viel essen verschwendet. Tolle Idee!

Wir waren am Silvesterabend mit der Familie dort Abendessen. Das Essen und der Service waren sehr gut. Außerdem waren ausreichend Parkmöglichkeiten vorhanden. Außerdem kann man nachdem schönen Essen einen Verdauungslauf im Wald neben an durchführen. Wir werden wieder kommen!

Für den Preis war die Auswahl im Vergleich zu anderen Restaurants wenig, aber Essen war aber grösstenteils lecker. Das Personal ist nicht besonders freundlich.

Super Chinesches Restaurant. Das Buffet ist riesig und die Qualität ist top. Die Außengastronomie Lad zum Verweilen ein. Einfach eine runde Sache. Jederzeit wieder!

Nur weiter zu empfehlen. Andere Buffet Restaurants sind mir zu laut. Sind langjährige Stammgäste und immer noch zufrieden mit dem Geschäft obwohl er etwas nachgelassen hat. Aber im Vergleich zu den anderen Buffet-Restaurants ist das meiner Meinung nach der beste

Gute Buffet-Qualität egal an welchem Wochentag man kommt, das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich, frische Zubereitung ist auch sehr zügig, Ambiente netter als bei vielen anderen Asia-Buffets da es in mehrere Räume aufgeteilt ist. Waren schon mehrfach hier und sind immer zufrieden 👍

Immer leckeres essen! Leider ist das Ambiente ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen, aber das ändert nichts am Essen ☺️

Ich habe bereits andere All you can eat Restaurants besucht und ich war mit den Hauptgerichten sehr zufrieden, einzig einen kleinen Abzug gibt es für mich beim Obst, dass leider nicht mehr sehr frisch aussah, obwohl wir zum späten Mittag dort waren.
