War auf Geschäftsreise in Bonn. Aus Berlin. Habs gegoogelt. Und wurde nicht enttäuscht - man warnte mich vor, dass es mit der Essenszubereitung dauern könnte, als ich spontan vor der Tür stand. Nun, no Problem. Netterweise ein paar Krupuks hingestellt. Lecker. Und dann kam es: Haschiertes Rindfleisch mit Gemüse. I love simple. Und es war super. Man schmeckt die echte Rinderbrühe im Saft. Am anderen Tisch gab es Peking Ente und die wurde direkt vor den Gästen zerlegt. Chapeau! Rechnung OK, a little happig, aber fair mit dem Sakepreis. SeiSei!

Gute, authentische chinesische Küche, aber etwas teuer.

Einmal wurden mein Mann und ich weggeschickt, weil eine große Gruppe käme ... gestern am Feiertag war geschlossen, obwohl sowohl im Internet als auch direkt an der Restauranttür die Öffnungszeiten für sonn- und feiertags als "durchgehend" deklariert sind. Schade - nicht wirklich kundenorientiert.

Kein Servis Essen naja nie wieder

Selten so schlecht und vor allem überteuert gegessen. Das Hühnchenfleisch war wie Gummi, die Soße fettig und für den Reis muss man sogar extra zahlen, das ist in der Karte überhaupt nicht zu sehen oder gut versteckt. . Das Gulasch meiner Frau zäh und knorpelig. Getränkepreise auch am oberen Limit. 2 Personen kommen dann schnell über 70 € ohne irgendwelchen Firlefanz wie Suppe vorher oder Nachtisch. Die Strategie hier: maximale Kasse machen, es kommt genug Laufkundschaft. Sehr, sehr enttäuschend.

Ich war zum ersten Mal hier essen, und der gegrillte Fisch war köstlich, wenn auch etwas zu salzig für meinen Geschmack. Deshalb habe ich fast die ganze Schüssel Reis aufgegessen. Der Service war sehr freundlich und das Ambiente angenehm, aber die Musik war mir zu beruhigend. Chinesische Restaurants sollten wirklich etwas chinesische Musik spielen; das würde dem Ganzen eine besondere Note verleihen. Insgesamt kann ich das Restaurant aber trotzdem wärmstens empfehlen.

Das Essen war gut. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Ich musste nicht lange auf mein Essen warten. Insgesamt 10/10!

Es erfolgte kein Hinweis darauf, daß die Beilagen wie bspw.der chinesische Standardreis extra berechnet werden. Das Essen war ok., eher hochpreisig, mein Gericht jedoch etwas zu fettig.

Die schlechte Rezension tut mir leid aber man sollte selbst bei vollem Haus keine ein-und-halb Stunden auf einfache gebratene Nudeln warten müssen. Aber die Bedienung war nett.

Sehr leckeres Essen (Wir hatten u. a. Peking Ente mit Mandarin-Pfannkuchen), guter Wein und auch leckeres Dessert (Sagobällchen in Kokosmilch). Bedienung war OK, Preise sind recht knackig, aber man weiß ja vorher, worauf man sich einlässt. :) Die negativen Bewertungen bzgl. des Essens kann ich nicht nachvollziehen. Wer vorher einen Blick in die Karte wirft, weiß, dass es sich hier nicht um einen eingedeutschten China-Imbiss handelt, sondern um eher authentische Küche. Auch wer hier negative Bewertungen wegen "nicht vorhandener Parkplätze" abgibt... Klar doch, jedes Lokal mitten in der Innenstadt hat etliche Parkplätze. Ich parke normalerweise immer direkt vor dem Eingang!

Ich war zum zweiten Mal mit meiner Familie hier essen. Wir hatten reserviert und die Ankunft verlief reibungslos. Das Essen war der Wahnsinn! 🔥🔥 Ich hatte den geschmorten Fisch, der in echt sogar noch besser aussieht als auf der Karte (lol), einfach köstlich. Ich kann das Restaurant jedem empfehlen, der in Bonn gut essen gehen möchte. Der Service war gut und höflich, und die kurzen Wartezeiten während unseres Besuchs haben uns sehr gefreut. Tolle Samstagabend-Stimmung!

So etwas ist uns noch NIE passiert ! Wir sind zu dritt erscheinen und hatten selbstverständlich auch dementsprechend DREI Essen bestellt…. Zuerst kam das eine Essen ( Suppe ) nach 10 min die zweite Mahlzeit und die dritte kam GAR NICHT …. Nachdem wir höflich nachgefragt hatten „wann kommt das dritte Essen ?“ Kam die Antwort „NEIN, nur zwei bestellt“ …. Der Laden war leer und dennoch warteten wir auf drei Essen eine gute Stunde…. NIE WIEDER !!!!

Gute chinesische Küche, die so schmeckt wie in China. Sprich, nicht eingedeutscht. Bieten sehr leckere normale und vegetarische Gerichte an.

Wir drei bestellten einen kalten Mu-Err-Pilz-Salat, gedämpften Fisch mit gehackten Chilischoten (der Fisch war sehr frisch, aber die Chilischoten schmeckten nicht authentisch), Schweinefleischstreifen mit Knoblauchsauce (viel zu süß) und Kokos-Sago-Pudding (ziemlich authentisch). Es war wieder einmal eine enttäuschende Erfahrung mit chinesischem Essen in Europa, obwohl die Zutaten frisch und gut waren. Da es sich jedoch um abgewandelte Gerichte handelte, würde ich sie nicht allen empfehlen, die authentische chinesische Küche bevorzugen.

Einfach köstlich! Ich kann dieses Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen; der Geschmack ist unglaublich! Außerdem kann man dort gut mit einer großen Gruppe von Freunden hingehen. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder! 😊

Mein Mann und ich waren wegen einer Veranstaltung in Bonn und weil wir direkt gegenüber im Hotel genächtigt haben, haben wir beim Kolaila gegessen. Wir dachten eigentlich, dass es sich um ein All-You-Can-Eat handelt, aber anscheinend war es ein á-la-carte-Restaurant. An sich kein Problem, aber die Speisekarte war sehr speziell (Hühnerfüße, Entenzungen…) und wir haben uns dann für einfaches gebratenes Schweinefleisch mit Sojasauce entschieden, was jedoch eiskalt und nicht mal lauwarm war und dafür fast 70 Euro. Definitiv keine Empfehlung.

Die Karte ist sehr groß, etwas zu groß. Leichte überfordern bei der Bestellung. Es ist aber sehr lecker

Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker. Nur die fast sofortige Befragung beim Versuch, hineinzukommen, hat mir nicht gefallen. Es wirkte etwas zu gehetzt. Aber insgesamt war es super.

Die angebotenen Speisen sehr traditionelle chinesische Gerichte; ganz großartig und schmackhaft!!! 👌👌👌; man muss sich, wenn man Interesse daran hat, auch ein wenig überwinden...zum Bespiel Entenzungen oder Schweinedarm Gerichte, aber ganz hervorragende Qualität und äußerst schmackhaft!!! 👍👍👍 Und immer ein gutes Zeichen...Asiaten essen bei Asiaten!!! Immer wieder gern dort....wir kommen wieder!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Super frisch und authentisch. Gott sei Dank kein buffet

We were a group of four and shared several dishes. This was the best decision, as we were able to experience the many different flavors. Unlike at an Asian takeaway, the dishes come without rice. Rice can be ordered separately. The ambiance is completely understated (visually reminiscent of a run-of-the-mill Asian restaurant) compared to the explosion of flavors and quality of the individual dishes! We've never had such good, authentic Chinese food. Anyone expecting an Asian takeaway will be disappointed here. The tofu was surprisingly excellently prepared. All the meat dishes were very plentiful and well-seasoned. The Peking duck and the sweet and spicy eggplant deserve special mention. It's definitely worth stepping out of your comfort zone and trying a dish with friends. We will definitely be back!

From the outside, I always thought it was one of those bad Chinese all-you-can-eat buffets – far from it. I've eaten here several times with Chinese customers, and it was simply world-class. It's also very suitable for large groups; you can share different dishes at large round tables (though you'll probably have to reserve in advance, as these are in a private area). Definitely recommend it, even if it's not particularly cheap. The quality, though, is outstanding!

Certainly one of the best Chinese restaurants in the Cologne-Bonn area. I know several Chinese people who also eat there regularly. That should speak for itself. Considering what's on offer, the price/performance ratio is perfectly reasonable.

What can I say? Full marks. The most remarkable, authentic restaurant I've experienced in Germany so far, complete with corns, duck tongues, and thousand-year-old eggs. Treat yourself to the experience. I'll definitely be back.

You want to have a nice meal and conversation with friends, and the whole time a TV above the table is showing cooking shows. Horrible.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Koalaila. The food was delicious, and the service was quick and friendly. Nevertheless, it was exciting to try something in an unfamiliar Chinese restaurant that tasted different from what you'd find in a typical Chinese restaurant.

Very authentic place for Chinese food especially if you are looking for Sichuan food. It's spicy and taste exactly like the restaurants in China. Service is great and the atmosphere is relaxed.

The Chinese restaurant is located in the center of Bonn, there is a place to park the car. The choice on the menu is very, very large, your eyes run wide; everything has pictures and you can immediately understand what the dish looks like, this is a huge plus. The quality of the food is good, the ribs are beyond praise 🫶🏻 the soup is also very tasty, although the portion is quite small. The place is large, it was not noisy at all, you can come with companies. The price is not cheap. 6 langoustines for 30 € is of course too much. The interior is in Chinese style, the restrooms are clean, but it takes another 5 minutes to get to them 😹 (the place is so large). We had a delicious lunch, thank you!

Been there several times with my gf and this becomes our favorite Asians restaurant in Bonn already. The menu selection is on the spot. The taste is to some extent good for me as an Asian. Only one improvement could be more staffs. I’d recommend to try the fried lamb chops one. Oh the price is high although we would say the food is worth the pay.

Nice Chinese food. Prices are a bit (just a bit) high for what you get. Worth to try every now and then. Like most Chinese restaurants, there are a lot of options. My partner is celiac and was able to find gluten free options with some help from the manager.

If you want to eat very good Chinese food and are in Bonn, definitely go to Koraila! The dishes are well seasoned and prepared. The vegetarian dishes are absolutely recommended. I had fried eggplant with rice and the dumpling platter as a starter. Friendly service. However, nothing for those on a tight budget.

The portions are relatively small, the menu is confusing, and the rice per portion is far too expensive at €6.50 in addition to the dish. A 0.5 cola costs €5.90. Unfortunately the price-performance ratio is not right at all. I can't recommend it. The service was ok.

Very tasty original Chinese dishes

Friendly service, a very large selection of different food and drinks. Only small point. It took a really long time from ordering to eating.

The cuisine and the entire, extremely varied menu are first-class. Without glutamate and flavor enhancers, the fish dishes are also exceptional. For the 2nd time there, very happy with everything. A highlight for me ☺️the very well-kept flower window sill with numerous orchids...etc. .. (for me this is a personal impression, the flowers are top then everything else)

The food and service are very good and I would like to say that the food is authentically Chinese and cannot be compared to the typical buffets where everything usually tastes like Glutomat. Come again

Das Kolaila ist ein wirklich außergewöhnlich gutes, authentisches Chinesisches Restaurant. Die Karte ist super reichhaltig und deckt ein weites Spektrum der chinesischen Küche ab; die Qualität der Küche ist herausragend. Wer auf asiatische und hier speziell auf authentische, chinesische Küche steht, findet hier eine Auswahl und eine Qualität, die im Bonner Raum ihresgleichen sucht.

I was a customer at Koaila for a long time, but from today on I won't go there anymore. The food is delicious, but it is not suitable for people eating alone or as a couple. In this case you will be served a much smaller portion, but you have to pay around 20-30 EUR per main course (which should be enough for several people). I feel extremely betrayed. In addition, it takes a long time for the food to arrive, even if the restaurant is empty. Reply to the comment below: That's exactly what I said above - since I usually come alone or with at most one other person, of course I'm not one of your regular customers. As a guide, I usually spend 40-50 EUR per visit if I come alone and 70-80 EUR in total if there are two of us. The restaurant is best suited to larger groups as you can then order several main courses to share. This is common in authentic Chinese restaurants. This way the cost per person is lower and everyone can try more dishes. The only thing I don't think is fair is that you make the portions smaller just because a group is smaller (or if someone is alone), which you have never done before today. Dec. 2024: Very tasty food! Asian with a difference. If you want to eat something other than the buffet, you will find a very interesting selection of Asian dishes far from the mainstream.

Super authentic restaurant with lots of choice. Great taste, worth a detour. Parking is available around the corner in the Operngarage. In my opinion, people who complain about long waits are whiners: it does take some time to prepare everything, but they never have to wait extremely long. If you want a quick meal, go to McDonalds

We were here before the opera performance and twice because we liked it so much the first time that we put it on our program straight away :) The opera house is right around the corner. Hardly comparable to most Chinese restaurants, very authentic(!), the food was great, the portions perfectly balanced, not too much and not too little. The staff was super friendly, helpful and accommodating. 5 stars are still not enough :) the next visit is already planned and we are looking forward to the delicacies. Keep it up ;)

The restaurant seems a bit bare and the furnishings are cool. The service was okay so far. The food came to the table quickly. The food was super delicious! Authentic dishes but also something for everyone. The crispy eggplants were delicious! Addictive factor! The dishes are designed to be easy to share. So you order a few dishes and everyone is mine. Definitely won't be the last visit!

The food tastes pretty good. The service is average and the food prices are on the high side. Rice has to be paid extra. The food was ok, what we ate was just way too expensive. It used to be all you can eat. We sat in the restaurant for a long time, unfortunately no one asked us if we wanted something to drink. Unfortunately I have to ask myself the question why is this shop still open? If you read the map everything looks like you are in China. Well, unfortunately we won't be visiting this restaurant again. I haven't taken pictures of my food in a very long time. Where else could I have gotten this much cheaper and much tastier, and the food would have been hot there too. It's a shame that we rated this restaurant so poorly, it used to be the best I knew. Years ago, when it opened, I tried Kolaila's lunch buffet. It was really not good, even for Chinese restaurants in Germany, which is saying something. I'd had hopes for the menu, but given the price and the so so experience, I didn't rush to go back. Tonight I tried the menu. I had the green beans with Sichuan pepper and chili, and the shredded pork with garlic fish flavored sauce. I was at first disappointed to see they had made broad beans rather than princess beans, as advertised. But that feeling gave way as I tasted both dishes, which were outstanding. The pork in particular was stupidly addictive, but also surprisingly light. The price is still high, but as other restaurants have raised their prices, Kolaila seems like less of a splurge. I'm dying to try more dishes from their menu. Really can't wait. Service was fine, but just that. Go for the food.

Were there for the first time. We ate sweet and sour duck with vegetables and fried rice. The service is excellent, friendly, active and very flexible, the food is delicious, the beer is good. Value for money is absolutely fine. The two of us shared a portion and it was plenty. Toilets were very clean. Terrace 2 tables. We'll be back.

ziemlich unhoflicher Mitarbeiter. Heute waren wir gegen 15Uhr die Restaurant gekommmen. !! This restaurant is famous among Bonn's Chinese community for its poor service attitude. It was an experience to go to eat today. When we walked in, a big brother threw the menu to us and then ignored us while playing with his mobile phone. Fifteen minutes later, I had no choice but to walk over to the elder brother to place my order. I felt like he was the customer and I was the waiter. I asked the eldest brother some questions, and the eldest brother gave strange answers, with a hint of Gao Hua's superiority in his words. My wife was too hungry and I didn’t want to cause any trouble and I endured the ordering. After a while, a German came and the eldest brother immediately changed his face and looked kind and friendly, like a loyal friend of mankind. The taste of the dishes is average and the level of prepared dishes. The price is a bit expensive, so I probably don’t intend to do repeat business from Chinese individual customers. The good reviews are probably all fake, so please don’t step on them.

The food did not meet our expectations in any way. The service neither gave us good advice nor voluntarily brought spices to the table. Parts of the dishes are made of plastic. Only the wine deserves the rating.

Most expensive Chinese restaurant with a limited offering that looks passé. Staff only busy for Chinese fellow human beings, rest seems to be an afterthought

Staff friendly, food tastes good. What we find to be rude, however, are the prices. Should you pay extra for side dishes like rice/noodles? In most restaurants this is part of the dish! Also disgusting dishes like blood soup and frog legs, who as a European eats that... For us the assumption is about arrogance, this can really scare away guests.

After an extensive shopping tour through Bonn, we wanted to end the day with a Chinese meal... so off to Koraila, which is conveniently on the way to the train. The reception was friendly and you had free choice of seats. The food. We each treated ourselves to an appetizer. Once the spring rolls and once the special hot and sour soup. Both were good and had unusual flavors that you weren't prepared for. For the main course. We each ordered Gong Bao (chicken and shrimp). When asked about the side dish, we chose fried noodles and fried rice. The food was very fatty and didn't really have many vegetables. The portions were rather small for the price. Now to the biggest point of criticism Every side dish... whether rice... fried rice or noodles has to be paid extra. Prices range from €1.50 for a small portion of fragrant rice to €6.50 for fried noodles or rice. This was not told to the guest beforehand. That's not possible... with such high prices, you also have to pay dearly for the supplement. There is a deduction for this... So we paid €86 for the food and 3 drinks... Sorry... but I'll get much better food elsewhere. Ambience service and cleanliness Ambience rather cool... Service was friendly and attentive. Toilet was very clean and smelled pleasant. Unfortunately, this only gives Koaila a well-intentioned 3 stars. Please tell customers that the side dishes cost extra.

Spacious Chinese restaurant without a buffet, which is a positive thing these days since you're looking in vain for the usual run-of-the-mill mass-produced items. There is a menu of authentic Chinese dishes and a selection of European-inspired dishes. As always, be careful with spicy dishes from the authentic menu. Everything tasted right. The food was hot rather than lukewarm. All in all it was an interesting evening and we were able to try dishes that we didn't know. We had various starters (offal, cold beef, wonton soup, etc.) for the main courses we chose various chili habernero and pepperoni dishes as well as braised pork belly, sour hot soup, a hot pan and fried rice. You'll definitely be full. The beef offal is highly recommended. If you don't want an all-inclusive buffet and are looking for authentic Chinese cuisine, Koraila is your address.

Very tasty and not that expensive.

We visited Koaila in Bonn because we were curious about authentic Chinese cuisine. Despite its size, the restaurant feels quite cozy thanks to the warm lighting and mahogany-colored furniture, and the brocade-covered upholstered chairs are very comfortable to sit on. The menu features dishes such as “duck tongue”, “pork intestine” and “chicken feet”, which suggests that Kolaila is indeed serving authentic Chinese food. But don't panic: there are also numerous well-known dishes such as “sweet and sour chicken”, “fried noodles with beef” or “Peking duck” on offer. But be careful of dishes marked with three pepperoni! The “beef fillet with habanero and pepperoni” simply tastes extremely hot. If you want vegetables or rice with it, you have to order and pay for it separately. All in all we liked it at Koalaila. We ate deliciously and were served quickly and friendly. In any case, it was exciting to eat something that wasn't offered in the Chinese restaurants we were familiar with.

Food is strong! But it's also too big an offer for newcomers. The service staff should wear uniform clothing if you are going for premium cuisine. And only clear something from the table when there is no one left at the table.

There is a huge selection of very, very tasty food here. The staff was always extremely nice and accommodating during our visits. I think the prices are high, but it's worth it.
