We went to Jade in Meckenheim on Saturday, August 17th, 2024 on the recommendation of friends, but we were extremely disappointed. Surroundings: The restaurant is located in the middle of Meckenheim's pedestrian zone, on the top floor of a medical complex. The parking options are very easy due to the city location and are also easily accessible for people with physical disabilities using an elevator. The furnishings are simple, as you would normally expect from Chinese buffet shops. Wooden tables, wooden chairs, very simple in decoration. Food and Drinks: The restaurant offers a la carte food but also a buffet. Most of those present that evening had ordered buffet. A la carte dishes were very few that left the kitchen. The drinks selection is standard Chinese restaurant. Nothing out of the ordinary. The prices are moderate overall. €18.00 for the buffet for an adult is definitely fine for the evening. First major weak point, although I would almost like to call it a case for the public order office: The menu that is available on the internet and which is also available in the restaurant clearly shows (see photos) the Mongolian "Teppan Yaki", i.e. the preparation of raw meat advertised by a chef for Saturday evening. When we asked the service, we were told that this had no longer been offered for a long time. This is of course very limiting. We were actually looking forward to this as a highlight. The buffet selection is standard. (see photos) The local discounter offers many different buffet options. Linguine as fried noodles, the spring rolls didn't seem to be homemade (the ones with pork tasted really weird), frozen squid rings; Ketchup and mayo are just the cheapest of the cheap. The sushi seems homemade. The ice cream sundaes seem to be ordered from the same retailer by all Chinese restaurants. It's always the big white cup with no label on it. It should be noted that everything was refilled very quickly and that everything was at a good temperature. When we arrived, the shrimp chips (Kruppuk) that my children love to eat were the old ones from the day before. Slimy and without taste. New chips were added later. They were crispy, but also completely tasteless. But that seems to be more of a brand problem. Unfortunately, the peanut sauce was made with so much water that it was more like a soup and had neither taste nor stuck to anything. I don't really understand what fried Gouda is supposed to be on a Chinese buffet either. The soup of the day, however, was very tasty with a pleasant spiciness. All in all, just below standard, even for a buffet restaurant. The selection in particular could be much more varied. Service: Although the restaurant gradually filled up that evening, the service was completely overwhelmed. When we came in we were greeted warmly. Once we were seated and ordered, we didn't see any more of the service. As already mentioned, 90% of the guests ordered buffet, i.e. h. All that was left to do was the drinks. In my opinion, 2 service staff + 1 counter worker should be able to do this easily. You're happy to accept a short waiting time after ordering, but I've never seen anyone come to clear the plates or pick up the drinks. If we wanted to order something, we had to speak to the wait staff on the way to the buffet. Unfortunately, no one came to our table or even close to it. The distribution of drinks was also completely chaotic. We constantly had strange drinks on the table. And 20 minutes of waiting for 3 sodas and a beer is way too long. Conclusion: All in all very disappointing and only conditionally recommended. Of course it was just a snapshot as we were only there once. Nevertheless, the obvious deception with the Mongolian "Teppan Yaki" remains.

Unfortunately the price/performance has decreased significantly, but it's still just OK...

My favorite Asian guy within a 50 km radius. Everything fits here, everything tastes good here, all the employees are super nice and I just love it here.

It was okay years ago. Now everything tastes like it was ready-made food from the freezer. I don't expect any culinary delights at these prices, but it can be a little more than the lowest average!

Abend Buffet 18,00 Euro o.k.. Standartangebot, nichts außergewöhnliches, aber für 6jähriges Kind und 4jähriges Kind jeweils 12,45 Euro und für 1jähriges Baby 2,00 Euro (?!?!?) finde ich reichlich überteuert!!! Unter dem Tisch lagen noch Essensreste. Wir werden nicht wieder in dieses Restaurant gehen.

Super varied buffet. Everyone is very warm and accommodating. The food tastes excellent. We like to come here to eat. Price performance ratio is excellent.

Hello folks My 5 year old daughter, my wife and I were eating in this restaurant today... very substandard food, lowest category in terms of taste and extremely little choice of food. I don't understand how something like this can be complained about as a buffet In addition, the waitresses want to talk you into drinks and run after you at the buffet and take orders for drinks even though they have already been ordered at the table You want to take incorrect orders in the hope that you won't say anything and when you get the bill you will still try to include the drinks in the bill. Waitresses extremely pushy and rude. All in all, a complete disaster. I recommend that everyone avoid the store if they want to have a nice evening. Plus the price of 18.90 euros per person Please spare yourself from the shop!!! Never again for me and I will wholeheartedly advise everyone against it. The meat was juicy and everything was very fresh. Vegetables crunchy, well seasoned... The selection could be a little larger but it's okay, here it's quality instead of quantity

Really nice restaurant, with an all you can eat buffet for €22. The perfect place for large and small appetites. I can only recommend taking a look.

We were there at Christmas. What can I say? Absolute disaster... The cow was milked by force wherever possible. Completely overcrowded, food partially unavailable, people standing on each other's feet and running over each other and the waiters. (Of course, when a guest and a waitress collided, the limo flew in my direction) The crowning achievement for me was a wheelchair user parked in the aisle where everyone had to go through. 🤦🏽 The public order office would have taken away their constitution that day 🤷🏼‍♂️ Completely uncomfortable and very sad for Christmas Day. And all just to make more money? No thanks….. I actually liked the restaurant up until then, but that day was my last visit.

I love this food, we don't go to the buffet, we eat from the menu

The quality of the food has improved somewhat since the last visit. I think it's very good because it was previously on the level of a fast food restaurant. However, you could expect a little more for the price of the buffet. But you can have a good meal here again.

The food is excellent. Even higher quality dishes, such as large shrimp, are constantly refilled. It is very versatile and excellently seasoned. The staff is very friendly and clears plates quite quickly. Only the ambience really leaves something to be desired and is more reminiscent of a slightly better canteen. Whoever did the interior design here should be fired. If you would like to dine with your wife or family in a beautiful and cozy atmosphere by candlelight in the evening, you'd better not go here! What a shame!!

Zum x-ten mal lecker - sowieso, vielfältig, am Wochenende inkl. mongolischem Grill, nett, zuvorkommend und preislich absolut OK. Eine Bank für alle, die asiatisches Essen mögen. Dabei noch eine heimelige Dachterrasse für den besonderen Flair. Wir freuen uns jedes mal drauf. Danke!

Essen war wie immer sehr lecker, Auswahl war gross. Einzigste was mich immer stört ist die geräuskulisse wenn das Lokal sich füllt.

Das Restaurant befindet sich im obersten Geschoss des Marktcenters. Im vorderen Bereich befindet sich das Buffet, darum und im hinteren Bereich sind sehr viele Tische. Von diesen hat man teilweise einen schönen Blick auf den Neuen Markt. Mittags waren nur wenige Tische besetzt. Das Ambiente ist insgesamt in Ordnung, aber irgendwie etwas steril. Das Essen ist bezüglich der Auswahl sehr gut. Qualitativ ist es in Ordnung, man bekommt alles, was man bei einem chinesischen Buffet erwartet. Attraktiv wird es insbesondere mittags durch den niedrigen Preis von 11,50€. Die Kellnerin war freundlich und räumte von Zeit zu Zeit benutztes Geschirr vom Tisch.

Ambiente etwas ungemütlich, Bahnhofshallen-Atmosphäre, aber das Essen ist sehr lecker. Abwechslungsreich, unterschiedliche Geschmacksrichtungen. In vielen chinesischen Restaurants scheint es nur eine Soße als Grundlage zu geben. Das ist hier definitiv und glücklicherweise anders! Auch das Büffet bietet eine sehr große Auswahl unterschiedlicher Gerichte. Am Wochenende sehr voll! Unbedingt vorher reservieren!

Einfach traurig. Gastfreundlichkeit ist hier unbekannt. Wir wurden angepöbelt was ich mir denn denken würde soviele Servietten zu nehmen? Alle Schalen sind immer leer. Man muss Nachfragen dass etwas nachgefüllt wird. Die Höhe war jedoch als ich in den Behältern nach Gabeln gesucht habe und in keinem der drei Behältnisse welche vorzufinden waren. An der Theke war man nach meinem nachfragen erbost und gab mir zwei Stück. Insgesamt kann ich den Laden überhaupt nicht empfehlen. Warum dann zwei Sterne? Wenn etwas zu essen da war, dann war das tatsächlich sehr lecker Aber in den 90 min Aufenthalt ist es mir, trotz Nachfrage, nie gelungen herauszufinden wie das Schwein mit Zwiebeln schmeckt. Wirklich wirklich traurig

Bestellen und abholen: Sehr lecker und sehr großzügige Portionen. Das Büfett: Rausgeschmissenes Geld, leider. Eigentlich wäre die Auswahl an Gerichten okay und der Grill ist eine tolle Sache, aber wenn da für über eine halbe Stunde nichts oder nur in geringen Mengen (bei voller Bude) nachgefüllt wird und der Mann am Grill auch 20 Minuten braucht, dann sind die Preise einfach unverschämt.

Super freundlich und essen einfach nur lecker

Wenig Auswahl, Essen kaum nachgefüllt. Geschmack ok. Viel zu laut und kaotisch, Kundschaft=Tiere: Schreie, dreckig. respektlos. Wir haben noch nie so schlecht und schnell gegessen, da wir nur noch weg wollten. Nie wieder. Kellnerin sehr nett.

Wir waren gestern Abend da und waren alle vom Buffet sehr enttäuscht. Es war gegen 19:30 als wir ankamen und die Auswahl wahr schon sehr gering weil kaum nachgefüllt wurde. Haben dann extra Bescheid gesagt damit mal Fleisch und Süß Sauer Soße nachgefüllt wird. Ente war sehr trocken. Pluspunkt war aber die nette Bedienung und das Frische Fleisch ( Mongolen Grill). Wir werden da nicht mehr hingehen.

Immer wieder gerne,sei es mit Familie,Freunden ,ist eine Verabredung zum Mittagsbufett erfolgreich.

Um 20.00 Uhr war das Büffet nur noch mit Resten bestückt. Und diese waren auch noch kühl. Es wurde nichts mehr nachgeliefert. Es gab nur große Getränke. Die Bedienung war nicht sehr freundlich. Für 18,50€ habe ich mehr erwartet.

Großes leckeres Buffet, faire Preise, freundlicher Service

Ich habe mir vom Mittagsmenü gebratene Nudeln und eine Frühlingsrolle geholt und es war eine riesen (und sehr leckere) Portion für ziemlich wenig Geld. Sehr nette Mitarbeiter und kurze Wartezeit. Werde hier wieder hingehen!

Wirklich sehr sehr gutes Abend Buffet. Für 18,50€ kann man sich wirklich nicht beklagen. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Absoluter Tipp sind die gebackenen Pudding Kugeln, die habe ich bisher noch nie gesehen oder gegessen.

Wir waren lange nicht mehr hier und waren vom Buffett positiv überrascht. Der Geschmack war erfreulich individuell und schmeckte nicht nach TK. Sogar das Sambal war irgendwie anders, wirklich lecker. Dazu kommt die sehr freundliche Bedienung. Einzig das Ambiente ist etwas Kantinen artig. Trotzdem gerne wieder.

Laden ist nett eingerichtet. Die Auswahl beim Buffet leider eher klein... Das Essen ist nichts besonderes und die Suppe miserabel . Ansonsten lässt sich nicht viel positives sagen

Das Restaurant ist sehr groß, sehr laut und irgendwie ungemütlich. An einem Samstagabend bis auf den letzten Platz gefüllt und entsprechend trubelig. Zum Sattwerden sicherlich okay, das einzeln zu bestellende Essen ist sehr viel und das Buffet sah auch reichhaltig aus. Der Service ist gut. Um schön mit Freunden zu essen & zu quatschen definitiv der falsche Ort.

Haben heute mit Freunden zu viert am Mittagsbuffet teilgenommen und waren mit dem Angebot, dem Service sowie den Räumlichkeiten sehr zufrieden. - Typische Speisenauswahl und Einrichtung, freundliche Bedienung und aufgelockertes Platzangebot. - Wir waren allesamt angenehm überrascht, da auch negative Bewertungen im internet zu finden sind, die wir heute nicht bestätigen konnten

Ungemütliche Atmosphäre, leckeres Essen Das Ambiente ist nicht wirklich schön oder gemütlich, wir waren Mittags hier, vielleicht ist es am Abend anders. Viele "Schnellesser" die sich am Buffet bedienten. Die Auswahl war ok für ein Mittagessen, mehr Auswahl wäre sicherlich nicht nachteilig gewesen. Die Speisen waren frisch gekocht oder geschickt aufgewärmt, es hat geschmeckt und das ist die Hauptsache. Der Service war zuvorkommend, alles gut.
