Great restaurant for lunch! Huge selection, drinks included, balcony to sit outside

Food is very tasty and is replenished regularly. Live cooking is ok, most of the time you get what you give in. Waiting times are reasonable. What I find a bit unfortunate is the rather high price for small children. My daughter is 3 and how much is a three year old child. Otherwise everything is quite good and we come to eat regularly. All in all, I can recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience.

I've eaten here several times. There is a large selection of food. Everything tastes fresh and delicious. The staff is very nice. Great atmosphere, you can go here as a couple or with the whole family. I can only recommend it.

When you go to the Chinese buffet you don't expect quality so I don't want to rate it. However, some of it was very salty and when I say that it is definitely way too salty. Were like that twice and the same thing both times. A pity.

We have been eating here on and off for many years. The children love it and of course help themselves to plenty at the dessert buffet. The ambience is classic for a store of this type. The concept was changed some time ago: "Standard" drinks are included in the buffet price, but are self-service. Of course understandable in order to save costs. I find the associated disadvantages annoying, which entails a reduction in service and ambience. The self-service glasses only hold 0.2 - again clear from a gastronomic cost perspective, but that means everyone is constantly running to get something to drink. The tap is right next to the buffet, so the drinks traffic comes in addition to the buffet traffic. There is a lot of crowd. Not all guests, especially the children, can cope well with the drinks dispenser on their own, so the entire floor around is unfortunately a sticky mess made of cola etc. I found that really very unpleasant on our last visit. The food quality has actually been consistently good for years. The sushi offering has increased over time and now tastes really delicious (it wasn't like that at the beginning). The only thing that fluctuates is the quality of the fried starters. Unfortunately, when there is a lot going on, they are often not fried until they are really crispy. That's a shame

The all-you-can-eat buffet is very rich: sushi, soup, many ready-made dishes and a large dessert section. With live cooking there is also a lot of meat, fish, vegetables, other side dishes and sauces to choose from. Personally, I wouldn't have needed the live cooking, but it's interesting to try out crocodile or kangaroo meat. The fresh fish, prawns etc were also very tasty. But when it comes to sushi and the finished dishes, there are so many different dishes that I was completely satisfied with them. The soft drinks are also included. The price of the offer is absolutely right. We thought everything was great and will definitely come back. We visited on Saturday evening and were glad we had a reservation.

Food is subterranean Live Cooking, the beef comes out so dry that you might think it died twice. Ready-made dishes at the buffet aren't really great either. Desserts such as cakes (strawberry cake) are warm and pudding is also not a highlight. In addition, the drinks like Cola Fanta Sprite don't really taste good (machine with syrup water) and they hardly have any carbonation. All in all really disappointing and the price is 0.0 justified.

The food was below average and it didn’t really taste that good. The only thing I thought was nice tasting was the duck meat. The rest was just fine and the potatoes were very overcooked and dry. Not worth it for the price.

It's a nice restaurant with very good food, which can be seen from the number of visitors. But in terms of ambience there are nicer restaurants.

The stars don't align? The food is really good, the service is always friendly, and the views and amenities are absolutely appropriate for a small town on its main arteries. But value for money is simply worth 5 stars. You never get the feeling of being rushed, everything is carefully prepared and has been for so many years. Always at a good level and never boring. One thing in advance - the quality varies greatly. The buffet is usually better on Saturday than during the week. If you go out to eat after 1 p.m. during the week, it will be difficult because the food is only refilled very slowly. I also find it charming when you want dishes with beef. Many guests pick out the meat and what is left are the vegetables. Unfortunately, the buffet is not taken into account by the service team. So you have to ask whether it will be refilled. It would be enough to refill small quantities. The duck isn't really enjoyable either. Either there are only dried pieces of duck left in the container or there is nothing left at all. The same applies to sushi. Apparently there is a quota and once it is used up, nothing will be refilled. All in all, the food at “Hu” was significantly better - apparently they now want to save a lot on the offer. It is simply too expensive for the current quality. Very unfortunate!!!

This Chinese restaurant left me with an unpleasant impression. Ventilation was poor and the air quickly became stuffy. The food was too greasy for my taste and the room didn't seem particularly clean. Additionally, the entrance fee was 25 euros, but you could take as much food as you wanted. However, it's honestly hard to eat much due to the heavy food and stuffy atmosphere.

We were actually regular customers, but it's really sad when you get trampled on as a guest. OK, we are good eaters, but we always tip up to €10. Today we were reprimanded for eating too much and only the waiters got a tip. Sad, very sad how greedy some people are. Well, unfortunately the rush of guests is no longer that big, so you're also scaring away regular customers! You will be told exactly what you have eaten. My husband and I had sushi and finally, scallops. That would be too expensive, so we should only eat the cheap stuff with a lot of breading and not the other stuff. Unbelievable: I eat what I want to eat and what is offered and no, we didn't exaggerate. Sad just sad. The good thing about it all is that they showed us their faces before my big birthday. Our family meets several times a year at the Hu in Germering. Large selection of food in the form of a buffet. Built on all you can eat. Food is pleasantly seasoned and always warm or hot. Only the size of the restaurant is initially frightening. Definitely worth a visit.

The lunch buffet was very tasty. The dishes were all freshly prepared and warm. The service was friendly and accommodating.

We were disappointed with the buffet quality and the live cooking. On Sunday at 12 p.m. after the restaurant opened, the cooked and fried meats in the buffet were bone dry in taste. The lamb became a tough rag during live cooking. The tasteless fried rice at the buffet was a declaration of bankruptcy for a Chinese restaurant. After visiting the buffet twice, I no longer wanted to grab something tasty from the buffet. Overall, the buffet concept is identical to that of other Chinese restaurants in other cities in Germany where we had eaten before. The buffet is equally stocked with prepared dishes and raw meat and fish. It appears to be "a service product" that is standardized and professionally available to restaurants. That's our impression. In terms of price, at almost 30€/person / on Sundays, it is at the upper end of the price range, although the quality cannot keep up with the price.

We have been inviting 6 people for our birthdays for 10 years, guests from abroad are also there and are totally happy with the food selection, the ambience and service are top, thank you very much for that.

It was totally overcrowded this Saturday lunchtime. This made it extremely loud and there were a lot of families with small children. Despite ordering a table, they couldn't find our name. We were still able to stay. We had to wait in line at the buffet and despite our best efforts, almost everything was empty when it was our turn. We always tried to fill everything up as quickly as possible. The food was always very fresh and, as always, very good. The system with the drinks is not well thought out with such a rush because you had to wait in line there too. We'll definitely be back And thank you very much for the super delicious food.

Germering, Saturday, January 20th, 2024, from 6 p.m Food, buffet, service, friendliness, value for money = all very good, but: According to the advertising: "Look forward to a cozy atmosphere" ... well, how you take it. Unfortunately, some parents have an interesting attitude towards their running children: ".. they have to be able to let off steam, so that we can eat in peace .." OK, most parents have now figured out how to control their kids in the restaurant. But some see HU's family-friendliness as a promise to give their little ones free rein around the buffet. Fortunately, no full plates flew through the air while we were there. If anyone asks if I/we have children: yes, 4 + corresponding number of grandchildren... They also like to run around - during the day, outside, in suitable places! I would like the operator to provide a friendly and easily recognizable notice: - Families with children are welcome, but there is no playground! - for adults: appropriate clothing desired! I also recommend that the operator offer families with children a place a little outside the buffet zone, then the race for the buffet will calm down on its own. So: If you are looking for a quiet and cozy relaxing atmosphere at dinner, you should think carefully about your dinner management. If you prefer a fair atmosphere, this is the place for you.

HU im GEP, Germering, Samstag, 20.01.2024, ab 18h Essen, Buffet, Service, Freundlichkeit, Preis-Leistung = alles sehr gut, aber: Laut Werbung: "Freuen Sie sich auf eine gemütliche Atmosphäre" ... naja, wie man es nimmt. Leider haben manche Gast-Eltern eine interessante Einstellung zu ihren herumtobenden, kreischenden Kindern: ".. die müssen sich doch mal austoben können, auch damit wir mal in Ruhe essen können .." (soweit ich diese bemerkenswerten Aussagen der betreffenden Eltern mit meinen Sprachkenntnissen verstehen konnte) OK, die meisten Eltern haben es mittlerweile verstanden, ihre Kids im Restaurant ein wenig zu bändigen. Aber manche sehen in der Familienfreundlichkeit von HU die Zusage, Kirmes-Kinder-Halligalli ums Buffet machen zu dürfen. Erfreulicherweise sind während unserer Anwesenheit keine voll belegten Teller durch die Luft geflogen. Falls jemand fragt, ob ich/wir Kinder haben: ja, 4 + entsprechende Anzahl an Enkeln ... Diese toben auch gerne herum - tagsüber, draussen, auf dafür geeigneten Plätzen ! Ich würde mir wünschen, dass der Betreiber für einen freundlichen und gut erkennbaren Hinweis sorgt: - Familien mit Kindern gerne, aber kein Rennsport- oder Spielplatz-Betrieb ! (der Betreiber hätte im aktuellen Fall den betreffenden Eltern auch einen direkten Hinweis geben können, stattdessen war unsere Beschwerde eher unwillkommen) - für die Erwachsenen: angemessene Kleidung erwünscht ! (sollte eigentlich selbstverständlich sein, aber trotzdem fühlen sich einige Gäste mit verschmuddelten Trainings-/Haus-/Sport- Anzügen recht wohl im HU) Zudem empfehle ich dem Betreiber Familien mit Kindern einen Platz etwas ausserhalb der Buffet-Zone anzubieten, dann beruhigt sich diese Raserei direkt ums Buffet von alleine. Also: Wer ruhige und gemütliche Relax-Atmosphäre beim Dinner sucht, sollte sich sein Abendessen-Management im HU gut überlegen. Wer Kirmes-Atmosphäre und sich an lauten Rennsemmeln erfreut, der ist hier bestens aufgehoben.

Geöffnet am Do. 4.1.24. ab 17.30. Riesiges Buffet. Von Suppen bis Ente, Huhn, Nudelgerichte, Sushi, Kuchen, Tiramisu, Litchi, Eis und vieles mehr vom Buffet. Ganze Gerichte nach Wahl (werden mit Klammer gekennzeichnet und werden zum Tisch gebracht) darunter Shrimps, Rind, Wild und frisch zubereitete personalisierte Teller ohne Aufpreis. Kurz: für jeden Geschmack! Also Teller bitte nicht überladen (wird vernichtet), Essen wird ständig nachgefüllt. Und: komplettes Essen statt 21,90 nur 22,90 € wegen höherer Mwst! Da könnten sich Einige in der Innenstadt mal ein Beispiel nehmen! Tja: Vermieter sollten auch mal preiswerter (nicht billig!) werden.

Grundsätzlich eine ordentliche Auswahl und geschmacklich gutes Essen. Haben leider nicht immer alles gut vertragen.

Durch das Buffet wird der Laden richtig interessant. Vor allem Mittags ist der Preis bezahlbar und man bekommt eigentlich immer einen Platz. Das Buffet ist wirklich gut und hat große Auswahl. Mittags fehlen ein paar Schmankerl. Aber Abends, wenn es teurer ist, kann man dann auch selbst etwas zusammenstellen und live kochen lassen, auf der Stahlplatte. Ich persönlich finde, dass die live gekochten Sachen langweilig schmecken, aber es gibt verschiedene Saucen dazu. Die Speisen am Buffet sind gut abgeschmeckt aber teilweise ordentlich scharf. Es steht aber dran, so dass man sich nicht vertun kann. Für Empfindliche: an vielen Sachen ist Knoblauch dran. Sollte man mögen. Auch am Nachtisch wird nicht gespart. Es gibt eine große Auswahl. Im Großen und Ganzen ist das Hu wirklich für die ganze Familie zu empfehlen.

Wir kommen seit vielen Jahren hier zum Essen. Sehr grosses Buffet mit Salat und Desserts. Auch sushi ist vorhanden. Sehr gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis.

Sehr gut gegessen, große Auswahl am Buffet, alles super frisch. Wurde immer gut nachgefüllt. Das Lokal ist sehr gut geeignet für kleinere oder größere Feiern, da man mit einem Festpreis gut kalkulieren kann.

Sterne sind relativ! Und ein "All you can eat" Restaurant ist nicht zu vergleichen mit Sterne Gastronomie...! Wenn man diesen Maßstab beachtet hat das "Hu" die Sterne wirklich verdient. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist auf jeden Fall hervorragend. Das Essen schmeckt, hat bestimmt nicht den Anspruch auf Originalität, schafft es aber dennoch in jeder Beziehung zu überzeugen. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und das Restaurant insgesamt für ein Essen "des Essens willen" durchaus zu empfehlen. Gemütliche Abende würde ich eher anders planen...! Gerne wieder!

Grosse Speisenauswahl, leider sind die Speisen zu kalt. Der Preis für das Mittags büffet ist relativ günstig. Der Kellner war sehr freundlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Top all you can eat, Buffet mit Getränke für 27

Hier wird mittlerweile routinemäßig gearbeitet und man ruht sich auf altem Ruhm aus. Das Essen hat eine schlechtere Qualität und ist teilweise kalt. Der Preis ist mittlerweile zu hoch.

Ich war heute Abend dort, Büfett lauwarm, Reis lauwarm. Ente, und anderes kalt . Nachtisch , dort wurde kein Eis angeboten, nur Pudding und Kuchen. Softgetränke muss man selbst holen. Hatte es mir so nicht erwartet. Keine Tischdecken , Heizung aus, einfach ungewöhnlich kalt.
