The food was delicious, but why two menus? There were six of us, and we were given two different ones. It was very confusing because we had to keep swapping menus, and no one could figure it out. We had to eat the duck with our fingers because there were only spoons and forks. The Peking soup was also unavailable by 6:30 pm. It was very loud and not cozy. However, the service was very friendly, and the food was really very good. We wouldn't come back here again.

A new experience! It had nothing to do with the idea of ​​entering a classic "Chinese restaurant." The mere fact that the clientele was predominantly Chinese piqued my curiosity. The staff was very friendly, the food was delicious, but spicier than expected. I remembered the sentence on the menu, "Authentic Chinese food served here"—now I understand.

It was truly excellent! Authentic Chinese food (as far as I can tell) – especially the roast duck, which was incredibly juicy and crispy on the outside, and the twice-roasted lamb was also delicious. The homemade (non-alcoholic) cocktails were good too, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The prices were very fair, especially considering the generous portions!

I was sad that there didn't seem to be a mala-tang restaurant in Dresden, but this place sells really delicious mala-tang!! It's loaded with meat, and there's also bok choy, bean sprouts, and other toppings. It's a bit like hot pot, and although it's a bit spicy, it was truly blissful. We ordered mala-tang and fried chicken wings, and it came to about €20 per person, which is a reasonable price for eating out in Europe. Oh, and I think rice comes with the mala-tang!

There were a lot of Chinese people there, which made the atmosphere kind of great. You don't usually get that kind of atmosphere. I missed the Chinese style on the walls. The food was okay. The price was perfectly reasonable.

We come here often – the duck is always delicious! Today, however, we were a bit disappointed: When we picked up the food, it was cold, and our special order was forgotten. It's a shame, because otherwise we're always satisfied and would happily come back.

We arrived right when they opened at 5:30 p.m. and had reserved a table. You should do that, even during the week. The restaurant is well-frequented by Asian customers, which is a good sign. The food was very tasty and not your typical "Chinese" food. The Asian clientele speaks volumes about that. So far, so good... unfortunately, despite the good food, there's a downside. The ambiance is sober, not to say unloving. The noise level is like a market hall, and Asian guests receive preferential treatment, meaning that the waiters visit them more often, and the food is served more quickly at these tables. We had to proactively draw the attention of the waiters to order, reorder, and pay. It's a shame, because the food was truly delicious. If you can overlook that, you're definitely eating authentic Chinese cuisine here.

We arrived just before closing time, but we were still served a delicious meal. Friendly staff and excellent food. It felt very authentic and was a real treat for us. We ordered several dishes together and shared them, which was a great experience.

We were in Dresden for the second time on a long weekend, staying at the Peck Hotel, and we found a nice restaurant nearby. China Zeit is a Chinese restaurant serving traditional cuisine. We were able to book online, received a warm welcome, and were even able to choose a table given the late hour. Otherwise, the restaurant was really well-attended. To our delight, there were actually quite a few Asians sitting in the restaurant, which usually indicates good local cuisine. We weren't disappointed, as the food was super delicious – but – with two chilies, it was also really hot! They take no prisoners here, and they also know what traditional cuisine means ;) Overall, it was worth a visit; the cocktails were delicious and not too sweet. We would definitely come back, but we would ask for something a little milder. By the way, we had "12.宫保鸡丁 Gongbao Chicken - fried chicken cubes Gongbao style with cucumbers, carrots, peanuts, and sweet, sour, and hot sauce."

I never expected to find such authentic Chinese food in Dresden. The roast duck and boiled fish were fantastic! This place is definitely the pinnacle of Chinese restaurants in Dresden. Highly recommended!

Tastes good, but a little expensive

I'm so impressed. Am I just too frequent? I've only tried a few dishes, and yet the flavors aren't consistent. There are only a few, so why can't the food taste consistent? Could you at least soften the beef brisket and beef tendon a bit? Is that beef tendon really meant to be eaten? I really don't want to reheat it, but it's inedible without salting it. My good impression of it is about to be worn away. I paid for something and wasn't satisfied. Sorry, I won't be back. Service is terrible. The boss is terrible, empfehlen! Updated August 2025: I'm a regular here, so I'm a little disappointed. I have to say the service is relatively good, but the waiters are often overwhelmed, and sometimes I have to ask and greet them several times before they're ready. The chef is getting more and more perfunctory. I used to order the crispy pork, but now I don't want to eat it anymore. The mixture of fat and lean meat often becomes pure fat or is hard to chew, and the fishy smell is intermittent. The Kung Pao Chicken, the peanuts used to be fried, now use store-bought peanuts, and the carrots are completely undercooked. Granted, carrots can be eaten raw, but for a dish this simple, this is unacceptable. The pig intestines are also gradually becoming fishy. Since opening, the quality of the dishes has fluctuated. Some combinations are too overpowering. The lamb is fine, but the overall flavors don't blend well. DD was once a reliable Chinese restaurant, but the dishes are becoming simpler and more flavorful... It's certainly not pre-cooked, but the feeling is a bit hard to describe. Hopefully, it'll get better.

If you want authentic Chinese food, this is the place for you. Please note: there are two menus that are not identical. I recommend the Chinese menu, the one without numbers. The German menu (with numbers) also includes non-traditional dishes.

I ordered a beef brisket pot, which had a lot of fat in it and was inedible. I don't understand why they didn't remove it. The mapo tofu was soft and the kung pao chicken had a strong vinegar taste.

The Chinese cuisine here is truly excellent. The fact that 80% of the guests are often Chinese or Korean is also an indication of the high quality. The service is always professional and friendly. The music could sometimes be turned down a bit, but otherwise, it's a very pleasant dining space. If you're coming with a group and feeling adventurous, you should ask for the Chinese menu (without dish numbers) and try a variety of dishes. There's truly a wide variety of flavors to discover here.

Despite having a reservation, we weren't offered a table for two. At first glance, the restaurant was unkempt and had a train station feel. We left the restaurant and were then pampered with culinary and human delights at Lila.

I lived in Germany for five years, traveling all over the country. Dongnim, I'd only seen Chinese food in those years, but this place is the real deal. I'd come to Dresden just to try this one Chinese restaurant.

Lunch: Peking duck €29.00. The rice was lukewarm to cold. Onion and cucumber strips, soy, were always cold, according to the staff. The half duck was also cold. This Chinese restaurant is a dump for the Saxon state capital, an insult to the palate. The duck tasted like nothing. It was salty. I'm a restaurateur myself, but that was the last straw. Never again. Very unfortunate for our international guests. The German Trade Union Confederation (DGB) or the city administration should take action. Signed H.C. Beck.

I go to China Zeit routinely and really enjoy their food. It's delicious and fairly authentic...best Chinese in town! The staff is kind and friendly and I will keep coming back here.

Spending 4 our summer holiday in Dresden, like to try Chinese food. Good service, good location, we tried 4 dishes, my son liked them very much.

The service is very good! There is no strange sense of pride that some Chinese restaurants have. There are many group tourists and international students. But the food can only be said to be very average. The boiled fish is basa fish and the taste is okay. The bamboo shoots in the fish-flavored pork are probably canned and not very tasty. The small crispy pork is freshly fried but the meat is a bit fishy. I don't know why. The thickening of mushrooms and rapeseed is too exaggerated and very salty.

Never before have I eaten such authentic food as here. Not the same old Asian fare, but the flavors are spot on. It's primarily Asian people who eat here, which is a definite plus for the restaurant. Authentic Chinese cuisine with great dishes. The service was friendly and prompt, but the restroom smelled unpleasant, the floor was sticky, and there was dirt in the corners – please wipe the floor properly with water and cleaning products; that's just not acceptable! For these reasons, I'm only giving the ambiance one star, as I liked the simple character of the dining room.

We had dinner here and everything was delicious! I would recommend reserving in advance, because even in a weekday it gets pretty full. The jasmine tea was also very good and the staff very friendly. P.s: the Bejing soup is actually spicy, although it has 1 spiciness level sign. Some of the dishes they can also make them non-spicy.

Together with my colleagues I had dinner there few weeks ago, did not have time to do review back then, so doing it now. I vividly remember that my colleague from China had said that the restaurant serves authentic food. I immediately asked him to plan a Saturday dinner. I went there after swimming which made me really hungry. So we ordered a lot. Good thing is that you can easily share as well. I love this sharing concept in a resraurant. We ordered two half roasted ducks and starters along a with lambribs and vegetable plate for four. The amount we ordered was more than enough and we were stuffed. I made special space in my tummy because it was a delicious meal. Specially the lambribs, atleast for me. They misplaced my mango juice but they corrected it once I asked them. The service is really polite and friendly. It's good find in Dresden for an authentic Chinese meal.

Before coming here, my friends said that when they lived in Berlin, they would come to Dresden specifically for this restaurant. After eating it, I felt it was indeed worth it. The fat sausage with bean curd was so delicious that I immediately returned to China. It was so delicious and the portion was huge. (The rice was even refillable for free!) It was really heartbreaking for me to not be able to pack it because I was on a business trip. For this stuttering, I will definitely come to Dresden again.

Great food. Tried different versions of the duck. Fantastic Peking soup. It feels like Asian guests get things that aren't even on the two cards (but I don't necessarily have to try them either) :-) Maybe you could put up a few more “sound absorbers”. We'd love to come back.

We were served very friendly, the food was excellent (and different from what we usually get in this country) and plentiful. We were lucky today, but next time we will make a reservation.

I ended up here alone on a business trip on a Sunday evening looking for traditional Chinese cuisine. Super friendly service and despite a relatively large number of guests with reservations, we were able to get a seat quickly. Really large selection of southern Chinese and Sichuan cuisine! Unfortunately, I had upset my stomach a little beforehand, so I decided to forego the classic, spicy dishes - so there are still “normal” dishes too. Here I can definitely recommend 鍋包肉 - Guo Bao Rou, deep fried, sweet and salty, slightly sticky pork. But the fried pork intestine was also really tasty and perfectly prepared. Thanks also to the kitchen for the completely “unspicy” cucumber salad! Only the tea was unfortunately a bit disappointing. A Chinese 红茶 was ordered, but instead there was an Earl Gray from a bag… All in all, a clear recommendation!

Our first impression was so-so, on-site parking, but with a parking meter. The ambience was different than what we were used to, but the food was A1 with *. Since I like to eat 🌶️ and my food was marked 🌶️🌶️🌶️ and ⚠️ on the menu, This finally hit home 😋. Very well made in terms of craftsmanship and taste, thank you for that 👍.

When you see a lot of Asians, hear Chinese spoken all around you in a Chinese restaurant, you know you’ll get authentic Chinese food! It’s rare to get good Chinese food in Germany, so if you want to try out real Chinese food and not the westernised version, then you’ve got to come here. Portions are huge and are meant to be shared so you can try different dishes! The BBQ duck was awesome. So was the hotpot (Feuertopf). Cucumber salad was also very refreshing! Staff were polite and friendly. Service was quick. Just make sure you book a spot before you come as it is very popular. Highly recommended!

We were really disappointed, the Peking duck was quite good but not worth the price. Long waiting times with extremely loud background noise in the ambience of the train station. The smell in the toilets was really unpleasant and the floor was very sticky. The food from the Asian neighbors looked significantly better, and we later found out that they could also order from another menu just for Asians. Don't think we'll come back again.

Authentic Chinese food according to my best friend from China. We thought the food was delicious. My friend was impressed that the rice here is free like in China. Apparently at most Chinese restaurants in Europe you have to pay extra for rice. We will be coming back. In one word- Bang! 棒！
